So this morning, the 9th of August, 2021, in his usual breakfast program on radio /TV, Ahmed Isah verbally abuses a lady again. He said he had introduced daily feeding for 100 people that normally comes to his station as a humanitarian gesture, especially as many of those people may only have access to that food for the day. Then in reaction to this gesture, people started complaining. Particularly one woman wondered why there is no meat in the food. Another said he may be doing it for diabolical purposes. (Apparently, he has people listening to the reaction of the people he gives food and they report back to him) Accordingly, he decided against meat or fish in the food because some people don't eat either and it will be wrong to offend them with it. Then in reaction to those women, he said "you get destiny before?" If your destiny dey work for you, why are you coming to queue for his attention? So according to him, those poor souls that normally come to him over one human rights issue or another all have broken down destinies? This is the same man that slapped three persons on live TV. In his one-man army style of attacking the system on behalf of those that are victimized, Ahmed literally becomes a law to himself. Doing what he likes and saying what he wants to anyone, damn the consequences. We must not forget also, that he recently said that Abba Kyari should not go down for one "mistake". According to him, even if he is guilty, the country needs to rally round Kyari because America is not a saint. Kyari has been linked with Hushpuppy in an historic fraud case that has brought eternal embarrassment to all Nigerians and further dented our battered international image. Perhaps this man is not the hero we think he his after all. "In the fight against monsters, great care must be taken, so one does not become the monster s/he is fighting." |
bravetentewa:Download palmpay app |
snapdragon00:Abuja sweet well well if you have your money to throw around. Saying you don't want to spend and still want to explore the city is just like driving a car without engine |
madridsta007:Pele. Congratulations on your comment. Typical Nigerian attitude of some imaginary "bad belle people" always after your progress. I'm sure you're thinking I'm one of those village people that feels hurt the young guy has a first class. "Offended by excellence". Is that a thing now? Well, Einstein, it doesn't take a first class to add value to life. Rihanna just became the first female billionaire. I doubt if she had First Class in Music. https://www.nairaland.com/2480780/reasons-why-first-class-students |
madridsta007:Sorry, bro First Class. I can see how you literally glamorize being in the "first class club" from your posts. It's not a criteria to succeed in today's world. It only helps. The topshots in the world are not first class people. Just add value to life. That's what's important. |
All these long speech and autobiography are unnecessary. Nigeria is much worse under Buhari than it used to be. Even first class doesn't guarantee job security these days. Just pray for God's favor. |
So even if Jonathan left a broken economy, your inept dictator took 6 months to form an economic team, has now spent cumulative 200 plus days in London, making another 6 months which is 1 year of his leadership life wasted. He later started door to door witch hunting for corruption, someone that wanted to repair a broken economy. It's just 2 more years of tolerance for Nigerians. |
All these prophets of a thing ehn, run away from them o! To avoid stories that touch. Particularly those from Akwa Ibom, it will end in premium tears. Imagine this one threatening the girls family with eternal curse. Many of them only know how to scheme fraud and manipulate God into their advantage. And they are always good with negotiation skills. |
That George that ran away though he's so smart. You carried a dead African man's money and make away with it and you thought you will ever be free. He has just bought himself a first grade wahala bicycle. He will be tortured to insanity |
What were you expecting before? After all it's one of the few places where merit and true federal character is allowed to have free effect. States like Akwa Ibom have erected international standard stadiums in 3 senatorial zones, but one other state in the north is sponsoring Islamic Preachers, sending them on bikes to go and propagate the religion. |
NamelessOGBENI:I understand the term. I'm only wondering how you made it fit into Abba Kyari's example |
Hishbah and MURIC runs away from thread. How much does hijabs cost these days? They must be so expensive! |
NamelessOGBENI:Wait. Non-binary bii tii bawo? Please explain further ![]() |
Greatsonemmy:Send me a DM |
deolurexy1:Well, maybe their alert is just coming in. So case closed |
deolurexy1:It is a pos company known as Baxipay. Did you use your ATM card to withdraw from their platform sometimes? |
I guess people don't yet know the seriousness of the mess Abba Kyari has led the country into, with his greediness. The USA must have been looking forward for Nigerian government to fall into her trap for the later's gross human rights violation and impunity, hence a perfect opportunity. Even Lai Mohammed has been unfortunately unable to cook up a creative lie this time, as well as Femi Adeshina. This is a very huge bone to swallow. I advise Arewa youths to organize fasting and prayer sessions if they care about their brother. |
Let your children go and learn chess. If many more Nigerians learned chess, we would never have voted in Buhari. |
Yes of course. If you want free hypertension and suicidal thoughts as a result of constant embarrassment from loan companies. The ancient advise of cutting your coat according to your size is never better said. In this Buharific economy? What if you loose your job? Not my prayer for you though, but we all need to factor in the unpleasant. Life is a game of chess. |
NkanAkpanika:Pele. You have a severe case of Stockholm syndrome. My state has always raised the bar for medical tourism in Nigeria. We have a medical university and a very robust health infrastructure across board. We don't just renovate empty bungalows, paint them green, then come online to make noise. |
And to think that a whole ministry of information and "strategy" is taking credits for pictures of a facelift of some few bungalows makes it all the more depressing. Some people are even tagging it as the best thing after sliced bread, from the post. It's sad how mediocrity has formed a stronghold in our minds around here ![]() |
When they arrested Nnamdi Kalu, they were quick to starch their babarigas and call a press conference to discuss their "victory". Now when it appears that Kalu had them cornered like a bone in the throat, they are looking for soft landing before the press. Buhari had to jet out to address his health. He must not have been sleeping well these days. Meanwhile, Benin republic, Nigeria's 37th state is showing them how it's done shame! |
Wahala they say, be like bicycle. Why must you shook mouth in Islamic affairs on Nairaland? I wonder why Nigerians don't mind their business quietly and live fine. And before you say pim, I'm a Christian too. Let's learn to leave mata for Mathias, or live and let live. |
cooooooks:He started his hustle right from his NYSC days. His business premise was once demolished by Elrufai. Listen to his documentary on BBC, maybe you will get to understand him better. He has a chain of hotels and lounges across several cities in Nigeria. It is almost an infinitesimal source of income, as they are in high demand. I understand your friends were affected by the actions of fraudulent people, but learn to channel your energy rightly. ☮️ |
cooooooks:Oga, obi Cubana is not the one that says your country should be poor. On a normal day, he doesn't throw money on the streets. He wanted a lavish burial to fulfill a promise to his late mum and that's exactly what he gave. Your president that was drinking 35 naira Milo, the other day, forming humble, how has things improved under him? If the monies spent at the funeral is up to your state's revenue, then it shows you're from one of those northern states with no much value. Obi Cubana has not stopped anyone's legitimate business. Nigerian startups are still getting juicy deals and endorsements out there. You're just poor! |
Guy, you mumu oo... If you have not heard it from anyone, I must let you know. How can you help someone to collect loan using yourself as guarantor? Well, since the money is not so much, just pay. Tomorrow is another day to be wise. If you take all these processes Nairaland people are advising you to take, you will spend much and not achieve anything reasonable. dk58:Bros, I be like say people never do you strong thing before? I used to have this Mother Theresa heart before, and of recent when I fell into hard times and I approached all the people I've assisted in the past before, I didn't see any of their brake lights. It's time to have a change of philosophy. People are NOT worth being nice to! |
God punish poverty like this. Someone cannot quietly be rich again, without doing money rituals to you guys. Well, for your information, you will wait tire if you are expecting bad things to befall Obi Cubana. Go and hustle bro, get a life and stop hating! |
Masters Kee? Is that how low standards have fallen under Buhari of recent? You're recruiting masters degree holder for ushering jobs with daily pay. ![]() |
It's just that we live in an age of quick rewards without labour. People want it all now, without sacrifice. Just because it's a church based organization, some people feel that they can come into the system and shout hallelujah, then collect pension and live in free house for the rest of their lives and keep receiving prophet offering. No labour, no accountability, nothing. The world just doesn't work like that. We are used to this civil servant lifestyle in Nigeria, where KPI'S are not measured and no one is accountable to anyone. Even the Bible talks about punishment awaiting angels that have refused to keep their first assignment. Jesus also spoke the parable of separating the wheat from the chaff. In the first place, those guys should never have been pastors. |
isaacprinz:It's not so. Most soldiers always want to use force to their advantage. I recently had an business encounter with a military man and he actually cheated me, on top of it all, he has threatened to beat me up over a matter of legitimate business. We are in the wake of a soldier killing his girlfriend for unconfirmed infidelity. If everyone use their jobs to oppress others at will, then who will remain on earth? The poison seller as well as sawmillers that cuts big trees in the forest with chain saws all have jobs, you know. Bunch of uncivilized barbarians these soldiers are. |
