Education › Re: NDDC 2016 Postgraduate Foreign Scholarship Application Commences by Mayflowa(m): 1:38pm On Apr 18, 2017
What exactly is the problem, months after the heroic command by the MD/CEO for NDDC to immediately pay tuition and other benefits, the commission has gone under the carpet and avoid any inquiries.

The CBN no longer restrict dollar payment for students' tuition. What then is there new excuse? I do not understand how a scholarship body expects her awardee to survive in a strange land for months unending without living up to their commitment. Did they forget they have this type of people under their commitment? Or they just went on to damn the consequences of their action. This is a shame and systemic failure in the organisation.

Very soon, NDDC letterhead would not be accepted in various embassies for educational scholarship. They are the only scholarship granting body in the world that do not match their word with action .

Please which is best in sending transcript to the US? via DHL or USPS?
Any idea on how much it cost?
If you have 2- 3 weeks on your hand, a simple NIPOST mail will suffice. It is unbelievably efficient at a cost of N300 to N20,000 spent on dhl.
You know why it is efficient? Once the mail gets to Lagos, it is handled by foreign partner. So your mail is very safe!

120k = 285euros per month

Mehnnnnnn...... undecided it is well

Even if na 200k i.e 476euros....oga gan oo
You don't just convert directly! How much is your monthly house rent for two bedroom flat in Europe? Maybe 500 euros or more per month. In Nigeria. Its about 60 euros in Nigeria per month or less. So its utilities, car maintainance and tax. In the long run, Middle class Nigeria worker may have higher quality of live than their struggling europe counterpart!

no bro.....it's 5% on the 1st billion, 4% on the 2nd to 5th and 2.5% for any amount exceeding 5 billion.
Check this out; from you calculation, someone who tells on 8 billion naira earns less than those who tell on 5 billion naira. How is that rational to you. I just told you what it is as outlined by Lai Mahammed. It's on google.

There is nothing wrong in giving a tithe to the church. What is wrong in this story is the part where the pastor initially lied about receiving the tithe in the first place. That is a big sin.

But wait ooo.....42 million naira X 10 = 420 million shocked
And you expect make the church members no vex......knowing that the tithe may not even be used to cater for their welfare.

E be like say na Whistle blower pay him tithe grin 2.5% of 19 billion = 475million. Go figure grin

Over to those of you who believe in paying tithe
I just want to clarify how whistle blower's money is calculated:

5% on the first billion. 4% on the 2nd to 5th billion. 2.5% thereafter. I don't want you to discourage whistle blowing intendees by lowering their incentives.

In the world of media, funmi Iyanda is way ahead of MO Abudu but Mo got money like madt. Billion even! She was a TV talk show persona. You should ask yourself how she raised capital for biz.

So don't defend anyone. She may not be connected to Amaechi but her source of wealth at the beginning is questionable!

Don't get easily deceived by actions. Anyone can easily do what he did to gain back the people's support. That is what politicians do too. Lick your ass.

Of course, he manages his account by himself. He was following more people that he was being followed by entering the big brother house. I gained more followership while in the house and unable to make contact with anyone to give his account password. He either unfollowed people himself or contracted it to somebody with his consent. The thought process is what matters.

He should be sorry for the mistake but he shouldn't lie.

Am I the only one who didn't follow BBN live? I just followed it on NL. Speaking of "follow", Efe , honestly you don't need to explain even if you really un followed. I guess that's the flip side of being a celebrity, especially when you got it through votes.
The people who voted would now come and think they have a say in your everything. Just ignore sha! Its down to your own discretion & logistics.
That is difference! When you rise to stardom with the people, you don't let them down. The people do have a say otherwise he is unappreciative. The simple act of unfollowing people wreak of wickedness. I mean, what exactly is playing out on your mind at the time?

So don't defend his action. It would be better if he opened an official account.

Did you read the scholarship award criteria in the advert sheet? It is not about this schools. Of course, no UK schools will ask you more than 6.5 IELTS score band for admission purpose. I am an Alumnus of Cranfield University and Nigerians don't need IELTS to study there.

The 8.0 score was set by LNG to filter out candidates. That was my point.

You are not seen as human in America or other developed world if you don't operate credit card? Your credit history tell a lot about you. Some person would not even do any business with you when you don't have credit history.

Once you pay as and wen due, you are good to go or like Msnas, you can use the credit card to buy stuff and then return money back to it before interest build on it.

It's the banks way of easily converting e-money to real raw hard earned cash payments at the detriment of the lender.
A £3000 balance can easily become converted into a £30,000 payment over the length of payment.
A very wicked concept..... ..
There are policy mandate now that requires bank/lender to let you know the length of time you will finished paying the loan with a minimum payment and how much you would be paying. Except you default on payment, there is a limit to their exploitation.

But you must realise the time value of money! All of these lenders' money are held down for years while u pay little amount at your comfort. They are also very exposed to losses. There are many cases were people welsh on them. Your only repercussion is destruction of your credit worthiness. Many African Americans abuse this previlege. So there are two sides to the coins.

infact I remember a survey that says just about 25% of the American citizenry had savings of at least $100,000
Really? That is huge. That is like @ least 40million naira savings in Nigeria owned by 50 millions people in a country of 200 millions. What can be better?

Remember $7000 can buy a good car in US. In fact $100,000 has more value than equivalent N40m in Nigeria

Update: I just fact checked on google. Your figure isn't correct. Usatoday.com says 7 out of every 10 Americans have less than $1000 as savings. That is 70% percent already

Michael Jackson didn't bleach because he wanted to change his skin

he bleached cuz he suffered from Vitiligo; its a condition in which patches of skin lose melanin in random way; he uses gloves on one of his hands because Vitiligo was very apparent there

he decided to do something to make his skin uniform; so he was left with 2 choices:

1 darken the light skin so everything would become black (which is impossible)

2 lighten everything to make it light (which is possible)

he went for number 2

just check the attached pictures and understand Vitiligo better

you can also check Vitiligo on Wikipedia
what about his hair? It used to be afro

Let us hope it works
You see how the source of this drug is known but not so in Abalaka's case. He kept hiding from all sort of questioning. He felt his knowledge would be stolen. When you have good knowledge to save the world, no one can steal it. I rather even save the world without compensation from anyone.

The guy that discovered polio vaccines never collected a dime till date. It saved the world from six killer diseases
