We don't waste our time praying for an end to cancer, we research ways to cure it.  We don't ask our imaginary friend or slave master to feed the starving people all over the world, we grow them food.  We see the soldiers fighting and dying for their country or for a good course, and we don't pray for their safety or for any God to be with them or protect them, we get them more armor to protect them and superior fire power to face their enemies.  By the way how has praying to Allah ever helped any society develop?. . .

According to religious claims we are spirits trapped in physical bodies. When we die our spirit leaves our body and religion claims that it contains all our intelligence.If this claim is true that means that our body is nothing more than a vehicle for our spirit to drive around in while it's alive.

And that means that our brain isn't really the source of our intelligence. If we truly remember everything after we die then it's our spirit (soul) that actually contains all the information. The brain is unnecessary.

Yet the evidence is conclusive. Brain damage (depending on the nature of the damage) results in loss of intelligence. Memories can be completely lost because of damage to our physical brain. Skills can also be lost. Even one's own personality can be altered permanently because of damage to the brain. If we truly have spirits then  NO physical injury would be sufficient to turn a decent person into a psychopath, but we have seen many times how people's behavior has completely been altered due to brain injury. . .

It cannot be shown that there is any way for a consciousness to exist outside of a brain of some kind. Immaterial things can be empirically shown to have no consciousness of any sort and cannot have any such thing. Spirits have never been detected anywhere at any time. People who tell you otherwise are selling something or they are delusional. People can fool themselves and can have hallucinations and dreams that they interpret as spiritual meetings or revelations. These can be induced in the laboratory and personally with drugs. They are effects of the physical brain and nothing more.

The ideas of a soul can be traced to ancient superstitions and ignorant ideas. So when we die we arent going any where. . .We simply cease to exist, as a aforementioned, we aren't any special that other living creatures out there. . .A louse simply ceases to exist when it dies, just like a cat, a dog and an elephant. . .We are just like them. . .So we arent going no where because every from of consciousness begins and ends with the brain. . .The soul can be traced to Cartesian dualism which can be empirically shown to be invalid. I don't really get this. . .According to the story, your God created everything and declared that it was all good, until this satan figure came in and messed it all up for your God. . .Your God gets so upset with what satan has done but instead of fighing satan directly and destroying him, we have passages in the bible that talks about God coming down to fight humans, soaking his shirt with their blood and boasting that he fought them alone, all as a result of what satan has done. . . .Your God tries to get humans on his side but satan keeps pushing them away from him according to the story. . .Instead of destroying Satan he goes after humans. . . .Killed everything to start afresh according to the story, but Satan is still causing havoc after he destroyed everything according to the story. . .

You will notice that your God did not even name Satan as part of his list of things to be destroyed at all even though everything was his fault according to the story and he remains your God's worst enemy that lead his creation astray. Your God is all powerful, he hates Satan yet he can't do anything to him. . .Again how does this convoluted story make any sense please?. . .

A little baby born deaf or blind and a puppy were on the list to be destroyed by your God. And in the bible, all the babies and all the little puppies, virtually every thing created, drowned when you God got angry

Now, if Satan is far worse than your God as you claim, please can you show me a passage in the bible where Satan threatened to destroy God's creation and carried out his threats?

The Holy Quran and Scientific Method

   Scientific method is mostly an inductive method of reasoning. Induction means to study particular facts and examples to form general rule. This method of reasoning is in fact the foundation of amazing scientific advancement made by mankind during the last two hundred years or more. Pure scientific method has at least two very important characteristics. Firstly, there is no blind faith and secondly it is absolutely unbiased. This attitude was named Enlightenment in the history of Europe. It is lack of reason that promotes superstitions, blind faith and biased ideas which are contrary to what is called scientific method.

I remember the story told to me of a man who doubted Islam, so he told his friend to shroud him and take him to the mosque for prayer on the dead. After the regular salah, the muslims lined up and made the prayer on the dead on the guy pretending to die.

After the prayer, they his friends were going to surprise the muslims that the joke was on the muslims, by uncovering him as still a living man. To their shock, when the unveil his face, he was dead; Allah as sent Angel of death to take is soul.

The debate between religious believers and Atheists have been raging on for quite some time now with each side passionately aiming to disprove the other's claims.
However, no one on both sides at least to my knowledge  has ever given a reasonable answer or at least asked this question enough to make a meaningful impact on the debate.So what is the question?

1. To Atheists and the religious; What sort of convincing evidence would it take would it take for you to switch sides?

Nothing much really. . .God believers always claim that God perform miracles all the time. We have people that claim God heals them, magically protects them and makes them rich etc. . . .I will like to take them on their claims. . .Any God that can heal an amputee and restore the amputees limbs to the way it was before it was amputated is enough for me to believe. . .

2. Also what sort of evidence or event do you think would convince the entire world in one single day to support your claims?

There is no such evidence. . . .The evidence for me was personal, I gradually realized that most of what I believed to be true and part of my reality were false. . . . Discovered that all religions , all religious books and Gods were man made. Studied history ,human anthropology, history of the religions and other religions and Gods I wasn't told about. . . .I challenged some of the beliefs I held, like Juju, Rituals, demons, witches, wizards,   I slept in graveyards, confronted and fought with Juju men and women to see if they can harm me with their alleged spiritual powers, desecrated Juju shrines, hanged out with kids that were labeled child witches etc to see if they had any spiritual powers as people claimed, visited all these juju men that give charms and so called powers. . .Went to the prestigious healing houses all over Nigeria like the synagogue Church of all nations with real people that were sick with cancer, visited Islamic marabouts for special prayers and powers etc and realized that my beliefs were very wrong, must of what I believed was false cos every thing was not as it was alleged. . . .When it comes to religious beliefs, believing is seeing. . .Once you believe you see things. . .
   

3. If eventually,you found out you've been wrong all along, How would you feel?,what impact would it make in your life and what would you do?

No big deal. . .When I was very young I remember my dad telling me that my religion was Islam and that I had to believe in Allah and Muhammad. . .When he died my mum convinced me that Islam is a false religion and told me that Jesus was the way to the truth, when I became matured I studied both religions and discovered that they were all a creation of men and decided to leave both mythical beliefs. . .Am used to changing my position, if I realize that am wrong, I will simply change my position no big deal. . .
