The truth rests on you studying the bible for yourself. But i guess that would be too tough a task for you considering your mind is already made up.
Many people do study the bible themselves, and still come out with very different interpretations, so your statement here is moot. . . .

PS - He isn't my hero, he's a politician who wanted office and has gotten it. The 'attacks' we are seeing are simply by those who feel Obama should not be president and have been going on for ages. That an additional twist of 'satanism' has been added is not surprising. Being a Muslim obviously wasn't sufficient to give him a bad name. grin

Every Christian I meet assures me that they are correctly interpreting the bible with the help of the holy spirit, but when I look around I see christians slandering each other constantly , and cannot come to any sort of agreement in their teaching or doctrines, most sects like to remain adamant  and claim that only they are the correct interprets of the bible or revelation. . . . . .So how do you know which christian correctly interprets the bible?

Yes Africa is FAR more religious that the USA and the UAE. . . . .

Africans among world's most religious people, study finds

"In many countries across the continent, roughly nine in 10 people say religion is very important in their lives," the study found.
That puts even the least religious countries in the region ahead of the United States, which is among the most religious of advanced industrial countries, the study's authors wrote

Christianity Etc › Fla. Church Plans To Burn Qurans On 9/11 Anniversary by mazaje(op): 6:04pm On Jul 29, 2010
A Florida church with "Islam is of the devil" signs in its front lawn plans to host an "International Burn A Quran Day," on the ninth anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks this year.

The Dove World Outreach Center, a non-denominational church in Gainesville, has marked the date in previous years with protests against Islam. The church holds protests on other issues, such as homosexuality, same-sex marriage, and abortion.

Pastor Terry Jones said members of the church plan to be at the Gainesville City Hall on Aug. 2 to protest the election of the city's openly gay mayor. Church-state groups had previously accused the church of illegal politicking for its "No Homo Mayor" signs.

Jones, who is also the author of a book titled "Islam is of the Devil," said protests are key to the mission of his church.

"We feel, as Christians, one of our jobs is to warn," said Jones.
The goal of these and other protests are to give Muslims an opportunity to convert, he said

So, targeting Muslims for an extra-special display of hatred and desecrating the Koran will make Muslims want to become Christians . . .I’ll like to go there and burn some bibles myself. . . . .When they confront me i'll say that, as an atheist, it is my duty to warn against the wasting of the only existence we have by following outdated nonsensical beliefs that were created by men.

What ever happened to the "you have to respect our beliefs" mantra they love talking about.

Isn't it funny that every time a Christian messes up, then they are all the sudden not a Christian anymore or they don't believe enough as you have tried to ex[lain here. What's more, every time we catch religious bullshit in the act(wich is always the case when it comes to faith healing) all a sudden we don't know everything everyone believes and therefore we can't blanket all religious practice the same. . . .How convenient. . . . . .

Good question. How it adds up is that we live in an age that is very much developed, and in which we can easily take care of ourselves. Like as been said above, medical science can easily take care of the child and is very accessible to them, there's no sin or crime in them making use of it. It becomes kinda redundant and irresponsible to go and meet God for what He's already given.
Christians accept that God has given humans brains, wisdom, dominion and permission. God expects that the take advantage of it AND maintain the balance of trusting Him.
Hmmmmm, I thought you guys say that the words of your God(bible) is for all time and all generations, some of you go as far as saying that it is fresher than tomorrows new papers, so how then did you jump to we live in a much developed world? Does the word of your God only apply to the underdeveloped world? If yes then why do you keep calling it the human manual?. . . . . .Here is a case where bible technology is put to the test. It fails. . . , You might as well burn a young bull on the altar for Yahweh for all the good it will do. . , , Let's name these practices for what they are, they are dangerous, ancient, superstitious nonsense. . . . . .Why then is it that when humans use the so called God given brains, wisdom and permission to do and find out about stuffs(science) people like you then say it is against God's will?

Image123:
The Bible doesn't forbid pure medical care, and faith without works is dead. What the Bible forbids is occult practices and help of evil origin. God is also against pride, or total unreliance in Him(God).
Even when God rained manna, His children still had to go out and get it, and then prepare it. And when they got to canaan, their farmers believed God for a bountiful harvest. But they still had to sow and then reap, even while they believed it was God's provision. God's provision is not to make us lazy or helpless, and His miracles are to glorify His name, not to save us hospital bills or make us healed stars on the pages of magazines.
The highlighted part is just one of the many contradictory teachings of the bible, there are many places in the bible where it is written that Jesus himself said all you need is faith, Jesus did not talk about works when expecting a miracle or healing at all, you can quote any part of the bible where Jesus talks about work when expecting a healing miracle. . . .What I know is that given the choice between trusting biblical methods, or trusting modern medicine you will trust modern medicine. Right?

You now see why I call you guys fools? You quote something you say you don't believe in. your heads need to be checked. For your information, the Bible calls people like you fools and that is exactly what you are.
Bla bla bla sheep have you any wool?. . . . .I am quoting the bible to show you that you don't even live by what it says, despite your endless cries about how you believe in it. . . . . . .

It is only a fool that thinks he created himself or dropped from the sky. If you have brains, know that everything in the world including that finger of yours that you use to type your ignorance were all created by the Master Designer.
Who here has ever claimed that he created himself? Why did you suddenly jump from "the bible refused to burn" which means " your God has sent you a sign that says the end of the world is near" to "its only a fool that thinks he created himself"?. . . .Its seem you know very well that your arguments have no merits at all. . . . .This topic is not about creation but about your baseless and ridiculous claims of the end of the world being near just because a bible survived an inferno, I have told you about other books like the koran and a dictionary that survived other infernos too, a bible surviving an inferno is NOTHING new since other books have also survived infernos, go ask the muslims and I believe some of them here will provide credible evidence to show you that the koran has also survived an inferno. Things like these happen sometimes. . . . .A better sign to show that your God is real or the end is near(what ever that means) will be for him to have saved the christians and the bibles that were burnt in churches during the recent jos crisis, no? At least in the bible Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego survived a fiery inferno according to the story, becauseyour God wanted to prove a point and send a sign, or does your God only act in stories found in the pages of books written by men?. . . . . .

Whether you like it or not, Heaven and hell exists and God in His own wisdom knows why disasters occur. When you continue to stay in your ignorance and get to hell, may be you can yell and ask God why disasters happen and if He wishes, He might allow your master, the devil, to answer your curiosity.
Of course heaven and hell exist but ONLY in your deluded imaginations and in the imaginations of others like you that have been systematically conditioned and indoctrinated to believe in the myth. . . . .Of course I need to go to hell, how else will your beliefs continue if there is no hell for me and other unbelievers like me that choose not to subscribe to your mythical beliefs to go to and suffer for all eternity and a heaven for you to go and enjoy because you have been conditioned and indoctrinated to believe in the ideas, conception, imaginations and myths of other men that created all the fables. . . .Its all a myth that is why you have to be told what to believe, how to believe and when to believe. . . .Keep on keeping on. . . .And who the heck is the devil ? I am talking about reality while you keep bandying one myth after the other. . . . .Have you ever seen the devil? How does he look like, and what language does he speak?. .NONSENSE. .

@Akwasi,
just keep on with your faith in Christ. Dont be distracted by the evil seeds this useless minds are sowing whenever christians post their thread. Remember thats the work of the enemy. Personally I dont read any foolish or unreasonable thread posted by an atheist because they have absolutely nothing to offer. If they post any foolish reply in my thread i just ignore them. They feed fat when we exchange replies with them. The best thing we christians can do is to ignore them and their foolish thread. Lets limit our arguments within ourselves and learn from each other. When we render them irrelevant in our discussions, they will then find themselves on the lonely path of foolishness. God bless you.
Bla bla bla. . . . .I asked you a very simple question but it seems you are more interested in your delusions. . . .Where was your God when muslims burnt down churches with christians and many bibles inside in Jos recently?. . . . .

I've not said that God acts once in a while. Being efficient is not 'acting once in a while' like you put it. This doesn't exactly capture it, but it's like a Parent and child relationship. There's a time when the parent do almost everything for the child, feeding, clothing, movement etc. As time progresses, the child is to be made more responsible. Not necessarily because the parent are tired or can't afford it, but because the child needs to be a man now. The relationship is still there, communication, etc. That's the way God has dealt with mankind.
If a child is sick and ask his parents for help I believe that they will always help the child regardless of his/her age, so what exactly are you saying? That your God refused to helped them even though he could because he wanted them to grow up?. . . .Is that what you are saying?. . . .
