@BigB1 It will do more good selling ice to the eskimos or selling water to fish than selling IBB to Nigerians. This is simply an excersize in futility. Besides that this whole IBB talk sounds so unNigerian. |
Ama ghi kwam na udi thread adi ![]() ![]() ??Ndigbo ndewo nu. |
mo wapa:Injustice to Dariye is not bigger than injustice to the people of plateau state. We have a slow justice system that has since the inception of this country never brought sanity in government. When you hold people accountable for their stewardship they now remember all sorts of law and what illegality is. What I simply don't understand is the legality of Dariye laundering over 1million pounds in one go to Britain. People are dieing of hunger as a result of the activities of these men, in a country where the Governor successfully buy's over the state legislature I wonder what right way we will do it to bring justice to the ordinary man on the streets. I weep for Nigeria, because we will not get anywhere like this. If Geovane Falconi waited for the provisions of the Law and its fairness Italy would have still been under the grip of the Mafia till date. |
Sorry for our Judiciary, they have now endorsed corruption. Ribadu should quit, go home and enjoy his life with his wife because Nigeria will not get anywhere like this. |
davidylan:How come you dont wanna play squash with the man no more ![]() ![]() ?? ![]() |
dkingsgirl:THAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT LESSON TO BE LEARNT FROM THIS, A LOT OF POOR MEN WOULD HAVE DIED FROM A SITUATION LIKE THIS |
DRAMA !!!!!!!!!!!! |
Back to square one, has Yaradua's ill health opened a window of opportunity for those we had sorted out before ![]() ![]() ![]() ?/ Then there is a lot to regret about this man's ill health then. That is all I got to say for now. |
Any person thinking Gusau will ever rule Nigeria is dreaming, he has been a behind the scene operator all his life and that is what he knows how to do best (He was immediate past National Security Adviser). He simply has not got the Xfactor to be a leader at any level, most especially not President of 2007 Nigeria. I still belive PDP will stick to generational shift which the likes of Adamu Mau'zu may benefit from. |
Sorry for Yaradua, his death will be regreted. The transition must go on while an otopsy is conducted to ascertain the cause of his death, because I have seen all levels of desperation and conspiracy in this country in the past 12months and nothing should be ruled out while invetigating the cause of his death. Both the PDP and the opposition must be scrutinized. |
This is turning out to be true oh, God help us , Option B if this is true is the pair below because the transition has to continue somehow.
|
People take it easy this is not confirmed yet. |
see some of u are also very uptodate. Please guys it has not come to that yet, OBJ will not have put Yaradua's life on the line just to remain in power. Elections will have to go on no matter what however if it is postponed by even a minute then the senate must impeach both Atiku and OBJ using PTDF scandal. |
No Comment !! |
azorjiu:Rolling on the floor and laughing my ass out ![]() |
There is nothing more to say because you only corroborated my argument, thought you would been courteous enough to appologise for calling my earlier comment preposterous. ![]() |
Big B1:Fine he should come out and deny the statement. We expect him to act his age in the interest of this country. This is why I like the likes of Ribadu or El-Rufai, or do you think El-Rufai was not part of the team that came to that decision ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
I will rather treasure sincerity, genuine desire to make a difference. Most Nigerian leaders have got what you listed but lack sincerity or honesty to themselves and humanity. I will accept BigB1's inclusion of COMMON SENSE because the present idea of looting money and packing abroad also shows lack of common sense. Because that simply builds a stronger economy for generation to come in that country while brewing poverty and insecurty for our own unborn generation. The Niger Deltans who were part of those who exploited the area in our early history may not have envisaged that someday where they call home will turn into such a war zone. |
abdkabir:It will make more sense if you simply condemn the Sultan's comments, because he has erred. OBJ's greatest critics are Yoruba's, when Orji Kalu put up that show of shame on Hardtalk his greatest critics on this forum were Igbos. Why can't you guys learn to call a spade a spade in the interest ot the nation. Sultan Sa'ad Abubakar should be ashamed of himself because I doubt if Sultan Maccido would have made a comment like this. This is why we never get anywhere in this country, one step forward ten steps backward, A young Sultan and a General in the Army who would have helped to redeem his people from darkness comes on board, the first thing he does is to throw away all he learnt all his life as a Nigerian soldier and goes on to say things merely because they seem pleasing to the ears of his people regardless of the implication to the Nigerian state. This is 2007 Nigeria and not 1957 pleeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaasssssssseeeeee!!!!!!!!. |
Preposterous!Which democracy does not allow for primaries?Which democracy does not have open primaries? So we are allowed to go along with a promise that is flawed from the onset!Man get your facts right before you get verbal with people, in Britain one of such countries who we are borrowing this concept of democracy from. The conservatives had a very rigorous election process in which David Cameron emerged the the winner defeating old horses like David Davids (elected). While the Liberal Democrats saw the emergence of Sir Minzies Campbel in what could be described as a coup of some sought. The previous party learder Charles Kenedy was ousted for reasons of being an Alchoholic, while 2 front runners to the party election where blackmailed into resigning as a result of scandals involving sexual relation with men, one of such persons is Mark Oaten. The whole dramma was pointing somewhere, someone could actually be behind this plot and the Liberal Democrats had no choice but to adopt Old man Sir Minzies Campbell who was then the party deputy leader as its new Party leader (selected). The Labour Party, on the otherhand, are on a crucial debate whether after the exit of Tony Blair, Gordon Brown should be an automatic leader (inheritance) or whether there should actually be a contest. some of such names totuted to engage Brown in a contest is David Miliband who himself has publicly proclaimed he is happy to serve under the leadership of Gordon Brown. THE MORAL OF THE WHOLE STORY IS EVEN IN THE WEST WHERE THE PRACTICE OF DEMOCRACY ORIGINATED, PARTIES HAVE THE CHOICE TO CHOOSE THEIR PARTY LEADER AS THEY SO WISH SO I DONT KNOW WHO BETWEEN US IS MAKING A PREPOSTEROUS ASSERTION. I WILL LEAVE THAT DECISION TO YOU. |
GUYS SOMETHING TELLS ME THERE IS A SINISTER MOTIVE IN WHOEVER MADE THIS EFFIGY FOR BABA ON HIS BIRTHDAY, WHAT DO YOU ALL THINK? NOTE DISCLAIMER: Please this is not intended to abuse the President its only an attempt to bring in some humour in a forum where people are so bitter with one another over varying political views. ![]()

Bankole01:I will rather advice, you either rephrase your comment or change your topic. Because your comment corroborates what Yaradua said. From your comment you are suggesting that Ribadu actually submited a comprehensive list of corrupt politicians which actually includes both friends and foes of OBJ (e.g. Alao Akala as a friend of OBJ was on EFCC original list before it was doctored by whoever, based on your comment). How does the above comment not represent a fair EFCC and if that is that case how has Yaradua said anything wrong ![]() ![]() ??/I hope we are not confusing "EFCC fair to all" and "OBJ fair to all" here ![]() ![]() ![]() ??The truth is that this is another shallow attempt to undermine the character of the man Yaradua. |
Another clear example of lack of direction, instead of worrying about the purchasing power of Naira it is whether a religous inscription should be on it. Those who suggest that Aramaic, or Hebrew or Latin should be on it if Arabic must be on it are not wrong afterall some people in southeast claim they have links with the jews while some in south west say their decendants are from south america thus hebrew and latin should be inscribed on it to pacify such people too. What does this lead to, confusion which only exacerbates the ethnic and religous tensions that time and time again threatens the very existence of this country. I am even more disappointed that a statement like this came from a very young Sultan who doubles as a General in the Nigerian Army. His experience will rather suggest he understands the security implications of his comments and thus the need to play down on such a comment. If a statement like this is coming from him then I am sorry the dream of having a secular Nigeria is no where near sight. |
We will appreciate if you kindly tell us what we are talking about. That was my last post that warranted all that gramma from you. It is not an attack on your person, it was only a question. It is clear that what informed your last post was remote in essence transfered agression. Fine can you make reference to debates that transpired between us which you had the upper hand let all in Nairaland compare and see who came up with more facts or who made more sense. Pleeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaassssssssssseeeeeeeeee !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ![]() I think I know what he is trying to do, he has been unable to bully me or win me on his side now he has adopted a new strategy which is to avoid me. C'mon BigB1 this is only a cyber debate. |
Thanks for initiating the roadmap to second independence. (we need to be freed from corruption) |
We will appreciate if you kindly tell us what we are talking about. |
How am i supposed to believe that Nigerians abroad contribute to their host nation, but illegals in Nigeria won't contribute to Nigeria. There is simply no jobs for them to engage and then as a result pay tax to contribute to Nigeria's economy. There is even no issue of them filling in jobs that Nigerians dont want to do because Nigerians themselves are not spoilt for choice. Besides that Olu Adeniji is'nt deporting people who came over with their proper paper work or work permit as the case may be. All he is checking is illegal migration. This is exactly the same reason given in every nation. The racist of any nation would always say, their is not enough for us, why allow immigrants, legal or illegal. This reason is used in America, France, Britain, Germany etc. If Europe and America can allow (black people who are so culturally different to them) to remain in their country,You can as well call me a racist if you like, the issue remains that you have not even read the news. Olu Adeniji is only cracking down on those who are a burden to the society and there is nothing wrong about it. If you think you have so much love in you I challenge you to go out on the streets and invite 5 destitudes to share your bedroom with you. Whats the point letting people into the country when we cant better their lives ![]() ![]() / We cant house them or educate them even. Nigeria has to find its feet first before talking of helping poorer nations. There is a thing like National interest my friend, you will be dreaming if you think black people live in the west for merely charitable reasons. People are there working hard and paying tax. |
