Okay then, go to VFS with your application slip(or anything to prove you applied ) then ask them to brief you on what happened. Good luck

Please guys i am confused as i have applied for Canada temporary work permit since october 6 2018 through one agent, but up till this moment i haven't gotten any reply from Canadian immigrantion, any time i try to track my application it tells me record not found, please what does this mean? I have tried calling Canadian high commission here in Nigeria many times but no one is answering, can i go to Canada immigrantion office in Lagos to make enquires? I am curious to know because i want to lodge another application but this time a students visa but i am scared because i don't know my faith with the previous work permit visa.
Please house i need your advise as soon as possible.
you are missing the first step in this whole thing, which is contacting your agent . Your agent should tell you if he really applied for you and if he did let him give you the correct details.

Is it really necessary to go all through that or I could just leave it like that
It is not necessary, but if you think sending it will increase your chances of securing TRV then please send but if not no need. CIC only made that provision for people who forgot to include some vital information before submitting.

Please can someone email sample of family tree... I submitted an application with third party bank statement without showing the family tree or the person's source of income but it's a lump deposit since 2017,the account balance is 17mil and it's in Money market, do u suggest I send a Web form to give the remaining information or leave it like that, I already paid 51% of the fee,one yr program.
Use the web form or send it via email to CIC

Hello Guys, so I got a passport request and it's been about a month now and I just got information about procedure failure.

I have to respond and it's due to fraudulent bank statement. I got an agent who told me he could help with bank statement..I did everything myself but the bank statement was just given to me and the letter of sponsorship by the agent. I need help on what to do.. need to respond to the mail.

cry cry cry
Did you state in your app that you used an agent (did you fill the "use a representative form"wink? If not then be expecting a ban from CIC(most likely 5 years)

The 60million example is totally off point, people get denied for different reasons, it could his prospective course isn't in line with his background course, we r talking of full funding without presenting a bank statement, stick to the topic
And I told you I have seen more than one case with full funding and no SOA got approved . What else do you want me to say to get my message across? I have always asked applicants who are working and intend to use a sponsor to include their own SOA even if what's in it isn't much(just to show the vo they already saved something towards their studies while working), but in a case where you have full funding (it covers tuition and living expenses) then it is not compulsory you include your SOA(only do if you have one).
Please search and you will see 1 or 2 case on this very thread (not to mention the ones that wasn't announced here). #Peace

Working and undergoing a course relating to programming... got computer programming course at Conestoga not yet gotten my permit yet... I feel once i do will apply because can't come back to Nigeria yet.
Since you are working in UAE(you have a permit) you can apply over there and your app will be processed based on the processing time of the said country (UAE). Good luck

Yes it happens but only very few get rejected.

However it very important to proof you have additional funds aside the funding awarded just in case of some unforseen circumstances.
Yes, I stated the applicant can include his SOA of account if he has but if he doesn't he should apply like that and make sure he explains it in his SOP.
NB: For him to do this the funding MOST cover his tuition and living expenses

I have also seen some whose dad(sponsor) with over 60mil in his account and and very good source of income (properties)denied. So stop trying to prove what's not there. I repeat, it you have full funding and don't have any money in your personal account please feel free to apply (but make sure you explain everything in your SOP).

Enclosed with her passport is a slip stating that if she did not receive the final decision on her mail, she should send them a mail. So she sent a mail over 1wk now no respond. What do you advice us to do now because no much time again.
Her application has been denied. let her order for her gcms note to know the real reason(s) for the denial and see how to work on them before reapplying. Good luck

Miscellaneous:
So visa won't be granted without my own funding even when I have a fully funded scholarship?
Not true, if you have full funding that covers both tuition and living expenses then no need to include your SOA(but if you have you can include). Just make sure after submitting the proof of full funding you also explain in your SOP to the vo cos some vo might not really pay attention to some documents (maybe due to time or some other things). I always say try to explain to the vo like you are talking or trying to explain things to a layman (don't assume he knows )

Just got my GCMS note. How do you recommend I tackle this? Also, does this mean that there was no issue with the proof of funds docs submitted? Can someone who successfully got a visa after these reasons help out, please?
It states your plan to study appears vogue and poorly documented , so you have to work on your SOP (try to convince the vo why you want to spend that much to study in Canada and not in your he country or anywhere else). Travel history like I always say isn't much of an issue, once you tackle all other aspects it will disappear. Sorry for the delay

To me this thing is just luck. But I also hate that fact that it's just luck. Some people gets TRV without any travel history and they will tell some that they either don't have travel history or they don't like the travel history. I see it as wickedness, flirt excuses, just ways if refusing people. Telling them different reasons.
Anyway, in your case, if your passport is empty, the VO says you should travel small even if its Ghana or Togo or Kenyan or Dubai.

Meanwhile, please what date did you order for the GCMS note and how where you notified?
Travel history wasn't the only reason stated, the vo clearly said the applicant didn't have a clear reason to travel to Canada (which means purpose of visit). I feel he couldn't convince the vo in his SOP

Good evening house, please I'm here again for advice. The transcript I have in my possession is one which I acquired for my company while seeking employment and my school would always control the document and state on it "the name on the company ONLY". I want to ask if the VO seeing this might be concerned? Can I state the purpose for which I acquired so that explains the reason the document was controlled? I attended a private uni and paying 20k again for this transcript is what I want to avoid? Please what do you guys think? Ayodeji787, frankrobbn1
You can use it like that. Also, if your application isn't complicated (like no relationship between your previous and intended programmes) then you can even submit your app without your transcript (your statement of result and certificate should be enough)

Mehn! I went to get stamps from our immigration at MM airport in lagos (dubia, Ghana and ivory Coast stamps)... The immigration officers I met there were assuring me that I can use it anywhere (since I'm applying for Canadian study visa)....

After some thorough thinking, I decided I will not use it (I've not used it), my body nor dey carry anything illegal.

I had to go to passport office and told them I lost my passport and request for a new one. 120k (for stamps) and 60k for the passport gone just like that.
Ghana and ivory coast stamp? with that money you can actually travel to those countries by road and get more stamps(from other countries that you will pass through before getting to Ghana)and flex for close to a week.
That aside, travel history isn't not an issue if you can tackle other things (purpose of visit, family tie, personal asset...) Check your gcms note to know the reason behind your delay

Good day to all the knowledgeable persons who are making out time to share their knowledge with newbies and applicants in quest for Canadian study permit.

I'm very optimistic about my reapplication for Sept 2019 because I tackled the VO's concern but I have a little challenge, fam.

My passport will expire by Jan 2020 and I'm wondering if I should send a new passport alongside my old passport that I used for reapplication once PPR drops because my intent is to travel by Jan 2020??

I'm asking because student visa can't be valid for more than the stipulated expiration date on a passport.

Hope to hear from everyone who have a first-hand knowledge on this.

Cc Frankrobbn1, makano, TheAfrikan, guzenaira, Mudicua and everyone that I sincerely can't remember their usernames.
If PPR comes while the old passport is still valid, submit both old and new, but if it comes after the expiration date of the old passport (we don't pray for it) then only the new one should be submitted (including the old one won't be a crime but since the new one will have the old one's number then no need).

Before now, a medical request would have indicated an automatic approval. However, recently even those who got passport request are further scrutinized.

That said, I think 60 -70% of the job is done. He has high chances of being approved. I suggest he intensifies his prayers. Am sure it will definately end in praise.

Please note that am not a guru, my submission is based on what I have observed recently.
Nice observation bro but if the applicant didn't use any fraudulent document then approval is sure(I will say 98%.....that's how sure it is). The further scrutiny is to confirm the authenticity of bank statements and some other documents the applicant submitted

Hello Gurus in the house,
A lady has just passed her medicals and got a request to submit her passport. Previously she dropped her passport with her brother(in Lagos) shortly after her Medicals, now she wants the guy to assist her with submission(and probably collection).

She will send her passport request letter to the guy so she can submit along with her passport. But she needs clarification on the following

(i) Must VAC consent form be submitted along with the passport?
(ii) If yes,can she complete, sign and scan the form to the third party so as to assist her with submission(and perhaps collection)?
(ii) If the passport is submitted where she did her Biometrics, what process is involved in making the Biometrics office bear the transmission cost(as informed)?
(iii) When the passport is ready, will they send to the address she filled at her Biometrics or the third party can indicate her preferred point of collection?
(iii) In case the third party were to pick up the passport for her,how does she go about it?

Your guidance will be appreciated, and the whole gist will be shared afterwards, thanks great family.
Third party can submit passport on her behalf but can't collect it back for her. What I will advise is, when the third party submit the passport he should pay for courier service and give VFS the applicant's Postal address and it will be sent to her

Afternoon house. I have a question? Money coming in from a company that I do contracts for such as managing their staff database and updating their staff profiles; can it serve as a good source of income cos sometimes in a week 150k comes in, then other times 200k. It's also a savings account and I don't touch it as I am also fully employed. What documents should I provide to show that I truly have contracts with the company besides my full time employment?
If you have copies of the receipts you issued to the companies it will be good, but if not then just mention it in your SOP (that apart from your normal job you are also a freelancer on the side and that brings in cash). Also if the companies can write a letter to say they are your client it will help, but if they can't then you do the explanation.

Please what documents would one require from a co-sponsor? Asides account statement, passport page, letter of sponsorship and affidavit what else?
Who is the co-sponsor to you? If he/she has a proof of how he earns his income (business or working) you should include it, with that he will show how he can sustain the sponsorship and also be able to take care of himself and his family (dependants)

Thanks for your anticipated assistance @mcobex
In the meantime, I'm considering of securing another admission (graduate diploma) perhaps my previous visa rejection was prompted by lack of educational progression.
Please, what's your view?
Yes you stand a good chance if there's progression between your previous and intended courses. Also you will explain why you opt for graduate diploma instead of masters in the field (you can easily get so many reasons for that).
Another thing is this, since your company is the one sponsoring you it will be nice if you go for something related to your current job specification (vos know people can switch career), but you have to explain why the switch (you can tell the vo your passion and the fact you have been performing greatly in your newly found career interest made you to want to further in that line, also your company saw that in you that's why they are willing to spend that much to get you better trained in that field.
NB: Whatever choice you make(from the above two) will work but your SOP will have to be structured to fit the choice you pick. If it your company that is sponsoring you then stick to a course that's related to your present job but if it is not your company then you can either go with something relating to your current job (by telling them your passion for it made you want to switch) or go with something relating to your previous study(and tell them you missed it and want to go back to it)

Hello guys, please i need help. I don almost cry all my eyes out and I have prayed and I'm getting tired.

I applied in Feb18.
Biometric request was Feb 20. I did it on Feb 21.
I got a medical request on May 10. I passed it June 2 according to my cic account.

I got passport request June 13, I submitted June14.
On June 14 after submitting passport, I got a mail from Vfs saying;

Dear Applicant,

We would like to inform you that your application has been processed in our office on 14 Jun 2019
You can track the status of your application through our website mentioned below using your tracking number.

Anytime I track it, it says;

Visa application, Id ###### is being processed at our canada Visa office.

I was told it only takes 3 -5 days. My people, since June14 till now, nothing yet, this has affected my performance at work.

Please help, what do I do, what is wrong? Did I even get the right mail from Vfs? Is tgat the mail you get after submitting passport for stamping?
Nothing to worry about, CIC now carry out further check up on some approved applications. If you didn't use any fraudulent document you shouldn't be scared. Feel free to contact VFS to ask if your passport is ready for pickup, if it is not then wait a little while and they will get back to you . Good luck
