Vesment: why does nigeria have the longest study visa processing time gaan? even ghana is 5 weeks Because some few Nigerians who should have no business going to Canada keep using fake documents all because they want to travel by force. The more they keep doing this the harder it will get for applicants applying from Nigeria. I remember a time when once you pay your tuition you are guaranteed TRV but now even people with full funding from schools still get denied. So so sad |

teefinix: Thanks brother. I have ordered the notes but it will be too to reapply considering the 30days for gcms notes. Sch resumes sept 1st. I submitted my stmtof 4mths...although no balance but turnover was 3.8m. We are not allowed in my office to use our salary acc for other purposes apart from salary si i cant put any funds there. So i kept 4m (14k$) in tbill which i submitted. The balance of my tuition and LE (30k) was in my sponsor acc which has a total of 33kusd wc is equivalent 4kcanadian $. Who is your sponsor to you? If not your parents or sibling I will advise you move the funds to your personal account, if you can't use your salary bank account then use another (I believe you have another account that's not salary related). The reason people include salary account is just to see that you have been receiving salary for a while(simple payslip will cover that). Move your funds to your personal bank account (not salary account) and that should be okay. As for the treasury bills, you are good to go as long as you have prove that you can have access to it once your TRV is ready (get a letter to that effect if possible). If you are not in a hurry I will advise you wait for your gcms note before reapplying but if you are in a hurry then reapply now(share your profile here before reapplying so we can also make some contributions to it) |

teefinix: I still await your suggestions plssssss.. Thank you. It is clear that this is not the main reason you got delayed, so let's wait for your gcms note to arrive before we conclude. Also, look at other aspects of your app and see where you might have gotten it wrong because you are good to go with respect to fund(though you didn't state how much you had as closing balance.......you earning 7m/year says nothing about your closing balance) |

I am a prospective postgraduate student of the university of Bremen Germany, I got admission to study Msc environmental physics, my problem now is I can't book appointment for interview at the German embassy because of passport which I applied for some weeks now at the asaba NIS office, I have done the necessary documentation and capturing yet they are telling me there is no booklet to produce the passport,. I even tried to rub their hands maturedly yet the PCO insists that he understands my situation but can't help. I don't know what to do please let me know what I can do about this because time is really running out as the interview appointment at embassy seems to be filled.
Kindly advise Thank you so much Best regards Have you called other passport offices across the country to know if they have same issue? You can check Lagos state, you might be lucky. |

What I can add is this, I think it will be much better if the person in question joins this thread so he can also learn(you won't always be there for him especially if he gets the admission and TRV). So tell him to join the thread to get more information himself. |

JOCng: Tuition fee: 21000 Canadian dollars That means you need at least 31,000 CAD for both tuition and living expenses(that's almost 10 million naira). Your dad submitted a SOA of 17mil , hope he has a stable source of income? because the vo will also want to know if your dad will have enough to take care of the other family members and also be able to cover your second year tuition and living expenses. Like @Frank said, you need to explain all that in your SOP, also your dad needs to explain in his letter of support how he intend to do all I stated above. NB: If you have time please order for your gcms note, just to have a clearer picture of what the vo's thought about your previous application. Good luck |

MsAnne20: Hello house , I got a mail last week from my school that the deadline for payment of tuition has passed. I replied to the mail by asking for extension of payment cos my Visa is yet to be approved. . The school sent me a mail saying that there is no longer space for Sept intake but I can defer the admission to January. Also, the former letter of admission (LOA) should not be used for visa application as it has become void. . I have submitted my visa application already with the former LOA. What should be done as soon as I get the new LOA ? i.e do I have to send it via Email to CIC or go to vfs to submit? . Please help cc justmellow, frankrobbin1,bracha,qudkom . Thanks. You can send to cic or wait for them to ask for it. CIC normally ask for an updated offer letter if the one you applied with has expired. So no worries |

ralfudoh: A visitors visa is equally a TRV (Temporary Resident Visa). Its a non-immigrant visa. Yes he is correct to refer to a visitors visa as a TRV. A study visa is also a TRV. Please what's your point (with respect to what I wrote)? |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by mcobex: 5:48pm On Jun 26, 2019 |
oriazowan: My candid advise is for you to enter Canada with the visitor visa and while you are here, gain admission and apply for study permit. PS: both study permit and visitor visa are referred to TRV (Temporary Residents Visa) He can't apply from Canada with a visiting visa. He shouldn't waste his time, even if he applies online he will have to go back to Nigeria for biometric and also submission of passport (if CIC request for it). Let's stop giving the wrong advise please |

raymege: Morning House, Please I already have a valid Canadian TRV(Visitor Visa) and intend to apply for a Study Permit, Please anyone here that has done(applied after a TRV) that or in the process right now? Also, I think that should make the process faster and easier . Your visiting visa is different from TRV and the TRV application will be treated differently. You having a visiting visa to Canada is not a guarantee of getting TRV so make sure you package your TRV app very well. As for the processing time, it will not change |

pete26: please with respect to this fraudulent SOA issue, after submitting your SOA with your application, and some amount of money is withdrawn to carry out a business transaction, as CIC carry out their verification would this raise any red flag is there a way they check for the amount left in the account or is it just about the authenticity of the account? CIC can be unpredictable sometimes and can go as far as they want. Soany people will say different things about the above question you raised but I will comment based on one case I witnessed, an applicant withdrew some cash from his account after submitting his app and CIC stated it in his gcms note that he made a withdrawal (the fact they mentioned the amount got me shocked). some bankers will tell you embassies only call to know the authenticity of the account and not the balance and withdrawal but from what I have seen they sometimes go as far as asking about certain transactions and also the history of the account after you applied . My advice to you is this: Leave the money in your account throughout the visa process(especially if it hasn't exceeded the processing time) |

JustMellow: Did you know if he used his agency information to apply for you or made the application seem like you applied yourself? If the application was filed with the use of an authorized representative form, you can be fortunate enough to defend yourself by making a good explanation to convince the VO, by also appending a legitimate BS. If this form wasn't use to apply on your behalf which most agents don't often use this days, am sorry to, you'all be getting the 5yrs back for misrepresentation.
You share from this blame also, as I believe you're aware of the importance of BS in visa application, which you showed little or no concern about to enquire about, after the agent promised you to provide one.
Its well.
I wish you the best possible luck! These agents aren't registered that's why they use fake documents to apply for applicants so I am very sure they didn't fill the representative form. This is why applicants needs to be involved in their applications process(no matter how busy they are). These agents don't give a damn about anyone but themselves, he probably used one statement of account for all his clients. He will be somewhere flexing the money he collected from them and allow them to suffer the ban and wasted resources alone |
