yes to police report, but as for medical (only if u want to do upfront medical but if not u don't need it until Cic ask that u go for it)

what will the company gain by spending such huge amount of money on your studies (cos u aren't their staff)? well to the best of my knowledge if u must use them as ur sponsor let them pay ur tuition fee and at the same time pay the remaining cash into your account . NB: U not having a 9ja account means u have a bank account in another country, rite? if not then u might have to open an account and have them pay the money into it now . do all these before u apply . gurus in the house pls explain better to him

bro I still maintain that the best move will be him paying the said amount into ur account (if it's available now), with that u don't need any affidavit. affidavit should come up if the money won't be available before u apply

Pls if the cad10k is available now he can pay it into ur account still bit if the cash won't be available before u apply for trv then an affidavit will help

bro from my little experience it will be better if ur sponsor can transfer all the money he intend giving u to ur account or better still pay your tuition fee and transfer the remaining balance into ur account. he should also state it in his letter(to show commitment). My sponsors had over 30mill last year but didn't pay any into my account or pay my tuition fee b4 I applied for my trv and I was denied(one of the reasons was funds related ).

you will have to check the Canadian visa site to get the required documents . but I know u need CAD10,000 (living expenses for an international student in canada) + your tuition fee to be able to apply. the documents to submit may defer.... gurus in the house can also explain better pls

well my school have gave me the hard copy of transcript when I finish graduation. Well I am talking about unilorin. No delay in it.

your international school won't accept your own copy, they might only use it to grant you conditional admission pending when your naija school sends the official copy

Its a shameful thing for Nigeria universities with this unnecessary delay in issuing graduates their transcript after 4-5years in school, u come back for transcript and it would take more than d processing time of CIC. We just make everything look bogus for unknown reason, transcripts should not take 24hrs to be issued. The system is just so bad that we have lost our integrity and effectiveness.

it's so annoying bro, after I had paid the required international transcript fee. I was shock when MUN mailed me 7 days to the deadline that they are yet to receive my transcript from my school here, so I ran to my previous school and can u believe my transcript was just lying somewhere on the floor (I was mad when I saw it) and I gave the lady #500 just so she could release it to me so I can spend another money to post it to MUN (spent another 10k sending it via DHL)

bro, go to ur school and "search " for anyone in the exams and record department that can help u so u collect ur transcript by hand(with ur international school's address on it) then u take it to DHL and mail it to your international school yourself stating your previous uni as the sender ......though it will cost u more but it's worth it(as it won't take more than 5 working days to arrive your international school ). I did same when I had 7 days to provide mine and I had applied for it 2 months earlier

From a lawyer to another lawyer, i think your chances for visa is incredibly slim. The grounds for refusal will most likely be "purpose of visit" considering your profile.

Please don't waste your time and money. Try as much as possible to secure a masters admission or look for a program that is obviously consistent with your law degree like ADR, Legal Research etc.

If however, you have prior academic background in finance that you probably didn't mention; then you can apply. A visa officer would be curious to know why you suddenly decided to change your career path. I mean after your LLB, BL and suddenly you switched to finance. It is simply inexplicable. Even me, i am already seeing you as an economic migrant not to talk of the VOs who are trained to be cynical and skeptical.

go to ur secondary school and tell them u need ur transcript and they will give it to u (it will be addressed to the university in canada) or better still u can collect it and take it to Canada urself as they have said. ur transcript is just ur detailed "report card". hope I was able to answer ur question?

I agree with you... everyone probably gets to that "gaga" point, however I think you must strategize to make the most out of your time. Look at thread 1 by 1andonly, you will have enough info to help you pull through. You can put together all the documents in 2-3 weeks without moving out of Abuja and then come to Lagos for your legalization.

I applied to university of Ottawa and before applying I sent an email to the school asking if I will need test of English result ,the reply I got was that if I was tought in English in my university ,I don't need test of English result ,but now I have applied and I was asked to provide result for test of second language ,what should I do ?

I think if u are close to ur previous uni here in naija u can tell them to give u a simple letter stating u were taught in English language during ur program with them. that's what I did and it worked. hope this helps

Most if not all llm programs in Canada commences in September. I think your family friend may have to start considering September 2018 for admission. It's too late to apply for September 2017 as most institutions already closed the admission process for September 2017 entry. However, I'd suggest that your family friend contact graduate admissions Coordinator of the said school to see if he/she can be indulged.
