Newmum0615: @Itsawonder I think this tirade is enough. We encourage sharing information here. But while we do that, we also advise that people refrain from sharing wrong information. If anyone wants to post any information here, you are either posting the source or using phrases like 'I think', 'maybe' etc to show that you are not giving that information from a place of authority. While you have the right to respond to questions in your capacity as a member of this thread, please be courteous in the way you reply the posts of people whose stance differ from yours and if you are not sure, please don't post with confidence. So many people rely on this thread for practical information. I don't respond to posts when I am not sure of the answer to provide. Nobody is grading us for providing the most answers. Well said nne. I missed the weekend drama.
Please, people of God, we can do better with the way we address ourselves here. I don't think anyone should be shutting others up because they don't agree with them. Let's readjust please.
Happy Monday meeting! |

kingspaco: Hello guys,
Also please whenever we see a long post, like PPR announcement posts, we don’t need to quote the whole long post, we can cut out (delete) major parts of the post and quote maybe just the first paragraph, as this will not only make the thread look tidy but it will also help with the thread not running too fast in my opinion.
Cheers Thank you for your post. Contrary to unpopular belief, long posts don't make the thread move faster, they only make the thread untidy. Each page on NL takes 32 posts regardless of the length of individual posts. So please people, let's keep it tidy here. |

Compu001: Guys I have a technical question. I will be detail with it. I have a friend in the UK, he came in as a student but didn't go back to Nigeria,so his student visa expired. He want to get out of the system to Canada. Can he apply from UK If no, can he go back to Nigeria to apply?? If he go back to Nigeria, will they not capitaliz on his overstayed stuff in UK??. I just need ur advice, so has to advise him accordingly. Thanks In the US, unlawful presence itself, such as overstaying a visa, is not a criminal offense, but only a civil ground of inadmissibility. However, in the UK where your friend currently resides, overstaying one's visa is a criminal offence at any time and it is crucial for "overstayers" to seek immediate legal advice. There are serious consequences for overstaying your visa in the UK.
Since this is the case, your friend's UK-PCC might likely return unfavorable since his overstay stretches to 3 long years. I am not certain about this but from what the UK law says, he could likely have questions to answer with the home office and maybe the police. |

ottawasenators: iznorhard na. You will get reference letters in cic format for your choosen NOC. What was your job title in your fathers mechanic workshop?
You can also share the JD (job description) ...so that the NOC queen will work her magic, dish out beautifully in a gold platter and serve him like a king. We had better learnt to do some little things ourselves. Just saying.

Travel › Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 5 by mcstan18(m): 11:43am On Aug 16, 2018 |
As per the NOC stuff, it is really easy for one to cop up his/her appropriate NOC by simply typing part of the statements in their JD into the NOC search bar. Most people do not bother to do this basic stuff. They'd rather whip out their JDs and forward to the "NOC queen" here. At the minimum, do your research people and merely seek for authentication or modification |
