Omo my Speedaf delivery person came to the place I'm at to deliver as I'm not at home. Special people

A friend had 4 go bad in about a year. I don't know what happened. He was careful with charging. That shook my faith in Trojan, though I still have some old 6V trojans that I'm still rocking for about 6 years now.

The one I'm talking of was actually 16 numbers. Till today, I'm not really a fan. It just did not fail, it failed catastrophically, swollen, can't hold charge for more than two hours, smelling when being charged, etc. So if I see anyone using one, I always advise them to charge it with specified voltage and current to avoid seeing such failure again.

Yes, it's very expensive.

I was already into it, otherwise would have pulled out and gone for cheaper batteries of between ₦120-₦150,000 for 200AH.

Trojan is USA, while some others are Indian/Chinese batteries

I've seen it fail under two years. Bad charging. Make sure yours are charged with the specified voltage and current.

Developing in Nigeria. This is a good thing. I just wonder why the Federal Government. I believe it should be more of private investment. The government has never really done anything right.

Just get 1 Hybrid inverter 48V 5.5KW with 100Amp 6KWp, you can get it as cheap as lower than 220K, though not readily available, you have to wait 2 weeks for it to be shipped and you get it in Naija around 2 weeks after that's 1 month wait..

Which make of inverter are you referring to here?

I had similar issue some years back. Opened dispute and got my money back though. Seller was suspicious

About 3weeks ago, A Package for me (Apple MacBook) was dropped off with UPS to be delivered to me here in Nigeria, from the United States.

I have been tracking my package tirelessly...it successfully scaled through other countries but when it got to Nigeria, it got stuck..I tracked it and I saw it was being held by a government agency, pending release.
I called UPS today, and they told me a Government Agency, "NDLEA" has withheld my package (What does NDLEA have to do with a Laptop?)
They gave me a number to call, which I did and the Man demanded I make a payment of 60K....

And also I'll still have to make another custom Duty payment.



What's all these....how did we get to this stage?

How do I Successfully get myself out of this mess?

I'll advise not to pay anything to anyone. Wait it out until you get a mail directing you officially to pay a duty. I saw babies cloth in a small carton from the US yesterday at a post office, the custom duty slammed on it is ₦71,000.

Next time you have something you want to ship from the USA, if you don't have a relative returning who can come down with it, please use third party shippers. Because, there's always a huge custom duty to be paid, officially, plus of course some few crooked staff of these agencies either outrightly stealing the package or looking for illegal ways to enrich themselves via your expense.

1) at what voltage is a 220ah tubular battery considered DEAD??

2) at what voltage is it expected for an inverter to beep "battery low" for the safety of the battery??

3) at what voltage is a battery considered full??

1) If it is consistently going below 10.5V at moderate load.

2) Most inverter has different cut off voltage which ranges between 10.5v to 11.5v

3) The bulk voltage (when the battery is charging rapidly to get full may be 14 to 14.5v). Meanwhile the float voltage (when the battery is considered full) may be around 13.5V

Differences in the plate construction in lead-acid batteries means that the optimum bulk charge and float charge voltage is slightly different for different batteries. So you may have to refer to your battery's specification sheet to get the appropriate voltage levels.

You'll spend a crazy amount of money, 26k+ , to return the goods. Even at that, most shipping couriers won't accept to do it.

I went to different forums and posted for help.

Only one person on a forum helped me try to trace where the issue comes from.

I just wanted to post the results of an experiment I ran this evening.

So here are the results of the test I just ran.

I took a fourth device. A Xiaomi Redmi 9C which runs android 10.

1. I connect the Earbuds and make a call and I can't hear anything. Then I press the volume down key and I hear the ringing.

2. I switch to my Infinix Zero 6 and I make a call and I can hear the ringing. I press the volume down key and the sound stops.

3. I switch back to the Redmi 9c and repeat step 1, the voice comes back.

4. I connect to the Zinox Zpad 7 (Second device in original post) and it works. I press the volume down button and the volume up button and it still works.

5. I repeat step 2, same result.

This looks like a bug. They'll probably fix it on the next earbud.

I have being having a thorough thought on

1. Balancing capability of the Daly series
2. Getting a Rs485/CAN comm via some work around to talk to inverter
3. Also ability to tweak the SOC to do local switching of loads et cetera.

If after my research the above fail to meet requirements then the expensive batrium with active community and CAN work around could be considered

But to the Daly as a balancing compliment a Deligreen 1s balancer would be a cheap way to save cost

All is a thought in process, taking it one step at a time

Batrium is the Ferrari of BMS and will require you sell some vital organs

wow. quite huge. 16S 300A UART R485 with bluetooth app worth over 150K. daly bms is always huge and rugged. the only downside is the low balancing amp. but that can be complimented by this 3A super Capacitor balancer

This is a beast. I guess useful for people using fairly used lifepo4 batteries, which may require such a huge balancing current.

Thinking about building bank of 16S in two units (280AH 48V config), with each string hooked on to a BMS. Plan is to parallel the string to achieve 560AH 48V config.

Well, it works. It is capable of balancing (up to 2A) I checked with a clamp meter.

Also you can set your cut off voltage (if you don't like the preset value).
