Charging woes

True that.

toptprints:
How about nonykings are they still worst logistics going by many users comments❓

Used their services earlier this year. They delivered. But past performance is never a guarantee of future performance, do your own research before you use any logistics company. Good luck.

peaceland:
Dear all,
Please I need your help.
At inception I was using 2 sealed maintenance free batteries which I believed to be 200ah each.
After about 4 years of usage I opted for the 220ah luminous wet cell batteries which I bought at their authorized store so most likely correctly rated.
The challenge now is that it takes forever for the batteries to get charged using solar or generator.
Unlike before on a normal day the 2 batteries get fully charged by 3pm but now by same 3pm it is just 1 or 2 bars on the epever charge controller.
We did not touch any other thing other than change the batteries.
However, at the point of replacing the batteries the technician noted that the dry maintenance free batteries are actually lesser than the claimed 200ah each but I put that down to technician rivalry.
The batteries only get fully charged now with PHCN power, not even with generator like before.
I have 2 solar panels from inception.
Please is there a way I can determine what is wrong with the connection.
Is there a way to determine the ratings of the panels without having to go way up the roof?
Someone told me the panels may be inadequate which if true may mean that truly the initial batteries were lesser than expected 200ah.
Can the difference in 200 – 220ah be that significant to cause slow charging (assuming the first set were 220ah)
Please how can I narrow down the possibilities?.
Thank you dear all.

If I type it, I'm sure I'd be banned

I once waited for my package for 7 months. Weeks delay got nothing on me

Gbagura:
Thanks for your response. When would they update the tracking to their website cos I've been trying it and it doesn't seem to recognize the tracking.

No idea, you just gotta wait. They'll deliver as they always do.

Gbagura:
Since Monday that my NGxxxx item has arrived country of destination, it has not change status and I was told speedaf is fast. Also I tracked using their website but telling me waybill not found. Someone should help me

It'll get to you...one of my goods got delivered fast...another was delayed as I was not in town and they tried to deliver and there was no one to sign on my behalf. They did deliver when I returned.

Wait. They'll deliver.

Today, I asked a NIPOST worker if Speedaf is under them. Dude said he doesn't know what Speedaf means

Surprisingly, I found that I have an item at the NIPOST of which they didn't bother to call/text. Went for it and the rude lady in charge said they don't have credit to call. Charged me ₦500 and later asked me for money afterwards. I didn't give her any other money as I was pissed. How can you not inform people of their package arrival and now want some tip after their crazy charge for a package weighing 140g?

Thank goodness Speedaf is doing an awesome work. 80% of packages that got delivered to me this month was done by 'em. Free. No crazy billing and was delivered at home.

Now I'm forever happy to see a tracking number starting with NG...that's just another way of saying SPEEDY FREE HOME DELIVERY

Ok. Estimated bill is often not rightly done. They often look at the size of the house to dish out bills. Whether the houses are uninhabited is not their business. It can be frustrating.

Has anyone gotten products from ANKER Official Store... Pls help ! ! !

Don't worry, it'll get to you.

xavierxo:
I just got scammed by Godstime Logistics. I've been expecting a package for over 4 months now and they keep directing me to the China. I registered my displeasure today again and I've been told to travel to China to and collect my goods. The China rep disables whatsapp after receiving one or two messages from me.

If you love your money and peace of mind. Avoid them o

Please drop their details.

Gbagura:
Does speedaf do doorstep delivery to any city in Nigeria or just Lagos alone?

Every city in Nigeria.

If we have proper electrical process followed, there should be a group that certifies that every built house conform to standard electrical guidelines for safety. In that process, a proper earth is top priority. But most houses here are just electrical disasters waiting to happen as there is almost zero safety devices installed. No proper electrical earth, thunder protection features, circuit breakers, wrong cable sizing, substandard electrical parts used, etc. In short, the list is just as long as the golden gate.

Nice one. Do you own one?

Omo my Speedaf delivery person came to the place I'm at to deliver as I'm not at home. Special people

A friend had 4 go bad in about a year. I don't know what happened. He was careful with charging. That shook my faith in Trojan, though I still have some old 6V trojans that I'm still rocking for about 6 years now.

The one I'm talking of was actually 16 numbers. Till today, I'm not really a fan. It just did not fail, it failed catastrophically, swollen, can't hold charge for more than two hours, smelling when being charged, etc. So if I see anyone using one, I always advise them to charge it with specified voltage and current to avoid seeing such failure again.

davodyguy:
Yes, it's very expensive.

I was already into it, otherwise would have pulled out and gone for cheaper batteries of between ₦120-₦150,000 for 200AH.

Trojan is USA, while some others are Indian/Chinese batteries

I've seen it fail under two years. Bad charging. Make sure yours are charged with the specified voltage and current.

Trojan battery price no be here o

OkoroPeugeot:
Thanks.
Want to do some connection tomorrow so want to look for them in the market

Go with the image on your phone and show it to the sellers. A picture is worth a thousand words. Lol

Developing in Nigeria. This is a good thing. I just wonder why the Federal Government. I believe it should be more of private investment. The government has never really done anything right.

By next quarter, the thing may not even be working again if it is being ran by the FG we all know.

Dam5reey:
You still on this matter.
Just get 1 Hybrid inverter 48V 5.5KW with 100Amp 6KWp, you can get it as cheap as lower than 220K, though not readily available, you have to wait 2 weeks for it to be shipped and you get it in Naija around 2 weeks after that's 1 month wait..

Which make of inverter are you referring to here?

FestyCraft:
Pls who deals with fedex here.. For international shipping...

Used DHL yesterday....

Ok, wait for it then.

wherewere2wear:
After 7 days? Na wa oo but the blue line is showing another thing. Please when will I be refunded.

Open dispute and request for refund, and state reason is that seller cancelled order

wherewere2wear:
Please what could this mean, this particular order was shipped on 7th of this month. There was on update on it till yesterday, the movement showed it just got to Nigeria. But I got a different thing entirely, I don't understand what it's means because have never seen this thing before.

Seller cancelled your order. You'll be refunded.

Dwaynestefan:
Omo, this country has really gone to the Dust!

About 3weeks ago, A Package for me (Apple MacBook) was dropped off with UPS to be delivered to me here in Nigeria, from the United States.

I have been tracking my package tirelessly...it successfully scaled through other countries but when it got to Nigeria, it got stuck..I tracked it and I saw it was being held by a government agency, pending release.
I called UPS today, and they told me a Government Agency, "NDLEA" has withheld my package (What does NDLEA have to do with a Laptop?)
They gave me a number to call, which I did and the Man demanded I make a payment of 60K....

And also I'll still have to make another custom Duty payment.

What's all these....how did we get to this stage?

How do I Successfully get myself out of this mess?

I'll advise not to pay anything to anyone. Wait it out until you get a mail directing you officially to pay a duty. I saw babies cloth in a small carton from the US yesterday at a post office, the custom duty slammed on it is ₦71,000.

Next time you have something you want to ship from the USA, if you don't have a relative returning who can come down with it, please use third party shippers. Because, there's always a huge custom duty to be paid, officially, plus of course some few crooked staff of these agencies either outrightly stealing the package or looking for illegal ways to enrich themselves via your expense.

GTB 11TH JULY 2021 card rate ₦440/$

This is tragic.

olopan:
Abeg I still needs my organ, them neva work well,

That's why I am looking the inexpensive combo I mentioned earlier in my post.

Fingers crossed, someone else might beat me to the punch and share their experience with the house
