ICEWIN:Used products are sourced from a lot of countries. But often it is better if you have an inside man inside those countries. Eg China, Dubai, the USA, etc all have loads of used electronics for sale such as laptops and phones. You need the inside man to verify the fairly used item is as described by seller before you'll end up with a worthless beautifully packaged electronic. Shenzhen is a great place to get a bargain on fairly used or refurbished electronics. For items such as toys, jewelries, garments, accessories, etc check out the Yiwu city in China. Sites such as Alibaba, 1688, etc are great. But you will get it cheaper if you have a plug right in these cities or you visit the city yourself. Getting your package via post is not hard. Just fill your address correctly in the space for address with the correct zip code (you can google this for your location). The logistics will ship to the nearest post office and you'll be notified via phone call or text to pick up your item. |
odimbannamdi:Your price rocks. Goodluck ![]() |

I miss Big L. Dude was a dope lyricists. And it's a fact I keep a gat in my arm reach I charm freaks and bomb geeks from here to palm beach I'm puttin' rappers in the wheelchair, Big L is the villain You still fear, cause I be hangin' it hard and my shit is for real here If you battle l you picked the wrong head I smash mics like cornbread, you can't kill me I was born dead Lyrics from his song Put it On |
Reinaldo:To avoid custom issues or crazy duty, I'll suggest you buy from Alibaba and use third party shippers. Custom fees are often crazy (dependent on type of phone ordered). Nigerian custom have a h@rdon when they see Apple devices. Have had a friend pay ₦71k in duty when he bought a MacBook and iPhone 11 from the US. I've bought Xiaomi from China with no custom issues. But buying without third party shipping is often taking a risk as you may very likely pay exorbitant duty. |
Connected1:Goodluck |
Connected1:That's another way to go. I only buy things that are cheaper to buy in China, or often the case not even available in Nigeria. I often have need for things you just can't get here. But if I can get it here, it is better you buy here - at least no USD wahala, no logistics headache, no custom issues, no long wait, etc. Another way you may get the same quality of clothes cheaper than sold by our guys at Onitsha or Idumota is by buying a container of such material and getting it shipped down. Those guys buy in such large volume that Chinese sell it to them very cheap. Then they ship it down via sea at a heavy discounted cost. Eg a bale of cloth which is approximately 1CBM can come down to as low as ₦120,000 each or less when shipped via container. |
Connected1:I'll advise you go to Alibaba instead. But this requires more work. You'd have to do massive research on the seller you want to buy from. After that, you will also need to get a third party shipper. But at the end of the day, you will buy the product cheaper and make more profit. But what you can also go the route of AliExpress, there are many sellers with good reviews, take your time to read reviews as some reviews are fake. Check the number of sales vs the reviews. Check the date the reviews are made, it becomes suspicious when you see like 30 reviews done on the same day ![]() Also do test buy (buy one to see quality as seeing is believing). Once it's the quality you want fire down. But the truth is that clothes at AliExpress is already expensive plus the crazy shipping that some of them has. Buying online requires a lot of work. Eg I once researched for four months before I bought a particular battery charger from China. I've used that charger for two years now without issues, as usual it wasn't that cheap. Well made Chinese products are hardly dirt cheap. Chinese ain't fools. Those dirt cheap products are often pure garbage. But not surprising, that's the type most Nigerian importers buy as they stand to make more profit. Goodluck. |
Lixusheng:Is your debit card issued by CBN governor? ![]() |
Gjackzy:You are quoting the wrong person ![]() |
Harnytee27:Open dispute if your purchase ends and you didn't receive your package. |
angelusbrut:I doubt. Likely going to be delivered by the post office if the tracking does not start with NG000.... |
Saipro:Tomzn rocks. Have a breaker from them in use since 2014. Breaker is still awesome.

odimbannamdi:You can fund it from buying dollars from the parallel market (BDC) or receiving dollar payment from someone. To open a dorm account, same procedure with naira account but just with added feature of having to bring two references from two current account holders. The two current account holders may have account domiciled with GTB or outside GTB. You can get current details simply by visiting the branch and making enquiries from the customer service desk. It's not hard to open one, small mini importers just don't want to as it's costlier to source dollars from parallel market. Of course there's always charges on every account (both naira or dollar). That's part of how the bank's make all those billion naira profit which they declare every quarter ![]() |
odimbannamdi:Nah, limit still $100/month for naira denominated account. I've had someone make payment of $2k+ with twenty plus cards. You only need a seller willing to split the order 20+ ways ![]() |
Gjackzy:No, you can't. You can only spend $100 with either of the GTB or Access naira account monthly. |
Date: 31st July Bank: GTB Rate: ₦440/$ Place naira debit was used: AliBaba |
Saipro:True that. |
toptprints:Used their services earlier this year. They delivered. But past performance is never a guarantee of future performance, do your own research before you use any logistics company. Good luck. |

I once waited for my package for 7 months. Weeks delay got nothing on me ![]() |
Gbagura:No idea, you just gotta wait. They'll deliver as they always do. |
Gbagura:It'll get to you...one of my goods got delivered fast...another was delayed as I was not in town and they tried to deliver and there was no one to sign on my behalf. They did deliver when I returned. Wait. They'll deliver.

Today, I asked a NIPOST worker if Speedaf is under them. Dude said he doesn't know what Speedaf means ![]() Surprisingly, I found that I have an item at the NIPOST of which they didn't bother to call/text. Went for it and the rude lady in charge said they don't have credit to call. Charged me ₦500 and later asked me for money afterwards. I didn't give her any other money as I was pissed. How can you not inform people of their package arrival and now want some tip after their crazy charge for a package weighing 140g? Thank goodness Speedaf is doing an awesome work. 80% of packages that got delivered to me this month was done by 'em. Free. No crazy billing and was delivered at home. Now I'm forever happy to see a tracking number starting with NG...that's just another way of saying SPEEDY FREE HOME DELIVERY ![]() |
Ok. Estimated bill is often not rightly done. They often look at the size of the house to dish out bills. Whether the houses are uninhabited is not their business. It can be frustrating. |
barlou:Don't worry, it'll get to you. |
xavierxo:Please drop their details. |

Gbagura:Every city in Nigeria. |
If we have proper electrical process followed, there should be a group that certifies that every built house conform to standard electrical guidelines for safety. In that process, a proper earth is top priority. But most houses here are just electrical disasters waiting to happen as there is almost zero safety devices installed. No proper electrical earth, thunder protection features, circuit breakers, wrong cable sizing, substandard electrical parts used, etc. In short, the list is just as long as the golden gate. |
Nice one. Do you own one? |
