Players having injuries is not uncommon to the game. What if a player stayed injury free and get a knock on his first match in world cup group stage. Such player would definitely be returned back home. I think players might only be privilege not to pick one in a long run. |
I swear the list is incomplete without the inclusion of big Kareem Benzema. Wake me up when it is done. Thanks.....

Not surprise this is the case in UK. But in Nigeria, the governor determines and empowers who becomes a traditional ruler. He funds and decorate him, he(governor) could also have the king removed in some part of the country whenever he deem fit and install another one. But the minister installment comes from the king's pouch in UK. The white has grossly succeeded in bastardizing our ways and traditions but maintained and sustained theirs. Africa needs alot of white influence cleansing from their lands. This is disturbing |
I still can't understand while grown up men defiles; why paedophile still exists; why some allege husbands perpetuate evil to their own blood. I can't get the formula nor link it biologically. |
Stale! Medicine after death....... Apology to be accepted on one condition, "students should be lay off the new session tuition fees" or " a 50% pay cut on the next tuition fees payment" Then we will all sound alright.

When a soul departs the body, a life is lost. Where do they depart to? Who receive them? Why can't human have a power over death? As knowledgeable as human are, why do they still die? Lastly, when would the world really come to an end. Hence, they remain unanswered questions. I don't expect answers to those questions from a mortal because I know it will not be justifiable. TGIF |
BE AWARE THIS IS WHAT THE NEW ELECTORAL LAW SAYS ON OUR NEXT ELECTIONS : 1. No manual accreditation. 2. No use of incident forms. 3. All accreditation is electronic. 4. Accreditation is Bimodal meaning facial recognition and finger printing. 5. No pre-election cases after conclusion of Elections.. 6. No election cases after swearing into office of the winner. 7. All results must be uploaded to INEC official website at the polling units before taking it to ward, constituency, LGA or state collation centers. 8. If the number of votes cast is more than the accredited voters the polling unit result is cancelled. 9. No more agreement between parties to share the remaining ballot papers that were not used. 10. No more massive thump printing and stuffing of ballot boxes. If you like go and steal ballot boxes you are wasting your time. You cannot change the result. The people's votes are counting now. If you didn't serve the people well when in public office or you are not popular in your political locality, it is advisable to save your money because they will collect your money and vote against you. End of ballots snatching has come to stay in Nigeria. With the amendment of Nigeria Electoral Act, our votes now counts. Let's just hope it really work out this time around............we hope it will not be business as usual |
Their hypocrisy stinks to the high heaven, like they does anything for the benefit of the masses. Since nothing is been checked, govt agencies can be Petty as they desire. Thesame stuffs would still make its way to the market even if they get hold of it all. Nigeria and politics of deceit is 5&6 |

Mavrick2012:Wow! The first time someone would echo my opinion on this forum. Alot of us don't even know what we want, lot don't know the Genesis of our prob. We need to divert all the attentions used in canvassing and opposing candidates who would in return bring us close to our knees into restructuring agitation. Submission: restructure this country now or let everyone go their ways |

A MAN WHO SOLD HIS COUNTRY TO THE BRITISH FOR £865K IN 1899 ToosekonsSep 14, 2022Read original This is the story of the first oil war, which was fought in the 19th century, in the area that became Nigeria. All through the 19th century, palm oil was highly sought-after by the British, for use as an industrial lubricant for machinery. Remember that Britain was the world’s first industrialised nation, so they needed resources such as palm oil to maintain that. Palm oil, of course, is a tropical plant, which is native to the Niger Delta. Malaysia’s dominance came a century later. By 1870, palm oil had replaced slaves as the main export of the Niger Delta, the area which was once known as the Slave Coast. At first, most of the trade in the oil palm was uncoordinated, with natives selling to those who gave them the best deals. Native chiefs such as former slave, Jaja of Opobo became immensely wealthy because of oil palm. With this wealth came influence. However, among the Europeans, there was competition for who would get preferential access to the lucrative oil palm trade. In 1879, George Goldie formed the United African Company (UAC), which was modelled on the former East India Company. Goldie effectively took control of the Lower Niger River. By 1884, his company had 30 trading posts along the Lower Niger. This monopoly gave the British a strong hand against the French and Germans in the 1884 Berlin Conference. The British got the area that the UAC operated in, included in their sphere of influence after the Berlin Conference. When the Brits got the terms they wanted from other Europeans, they began to deal with the African chiefs. Within two years of 1886, Goldie had signed treaties with tribal chiefs along the Benue and Niger Rivers whilst also penetrating inland. This move inland was against the spirit of verbal agreements that had been made to restrict the organisation’s activities to coastal regions. By 1886, the company name changed to The National Africa Company and was granted a royal charter (incorporated). The charter authorised the company to administer the Niger Delta and all lands around the banks of the Benue and Niger Rivers. Soon after, the company was again renamed. The new name was Royal Niger Company, which survives, as Unilever, till this day. To local chiefs, the Royal Niger Company negotiators had pledged free trade in the region. Behind, they entered private contracts on their terms. Because the (deceitful) private contracts were often written in English and signed by the local chiefs, the British government enforced them. So for example, Jaja of Opobo, when he tried to export palm oil on his own, was forced into exile for “obstructing commerce”. As an aside, Jaja was “forgiven” in 1891 and allowed to return home, but he died on the way back, poisoned with a cup of tea. Seeing what happened to Jaja, some other native rulers began to look more closely at the deals they were getting from the Royal Nigeria Company. One of such kingdoms was Nembe, whose king, Koko Mingi VIII, ascended the throne in 1889 after being a Christian schoolteacher. Koko Mingi VIII, King Koko for short, like most rulers in the yard, was faced with the Royal Nigeria Company encroachment. He also resented the monopoly enjoyed by the Royal Nigeria Company and tried to seek out favourable trading terms, with particularly the Germans in Kamerun (Cameroon). By 1894, the Royal Nigeria Company increasingly dictated whom the natives could trade with, and denied them direct access to their former markets. In late 1894, King Koko renounced Christianity and tried to form an alliance with Bonny and Okpoma against the Royal Nigeria Company to take back the trade. This is significant because while Okpoma joined up, Bonny refused. A harbinger of the successful “divide and rule” tactic. On 29 January 1895, King Koko led an attack on the Royal Niger Company’s headquarters, which was in Akassa in today’s Bayelsa state. The pre-dawn raid had more than a thousand men involved. King Koko’s attack succeeded in capturing the base. Losing 40 of his men, King Koko captured 60 white men as hostages, as well as a lot of goods, ammunition and a Maxim gun. Koko then attempted to negotiate a release of the hostages in exchange for being allowed to chose his trading partners. The British refused to negotiate with Koko, and he had forty of the hostages killed. A British report claimed that the Nembe people ate them. On 20 February 1895, Britain’s Royal Navy, under Admiral Bedford attacked Brass and burned it to the ground. Many Nembe people died and smallpox finished off a lot of others. By April 1895, business had returned to “normal”, normal being the conditions that the British wanted, and King Koko was on the run. Brass was fined £500 by the British, £62,494 (NGN29 million) in today’s money, and the looted weapons were returned as well as the surviving prisoners. After a British Parliamentary Commission sat, King Koko was offered terms of settlement by the British, which he rejected and disappeared. The British promptly declared him an outlaw and offered a reward of £200 (£26,000; NGN12 million today) for him. He committed suicide in exile in 1898. About that time, another “recalcitrant King”, the Oba of Benin, was run out of town. The pacification of the Lower Niger was well and truly underway. The immediate effect of the Brass Oil War was that public opinion in Britain turned against the Royal Nigeria Company, so its charter was revoked in 1899. Following the revoking of its charter, the Royal Niger Company sold its holdings to the British government for £865,000 (£108 million today). That amount, £46,407,250 (NGN 50,386,455,032,400, at today’s exchange rate) was effectively the price Britain paid, to buy the territory which was to become known as Niger Credit: African gist hub

My first year after NYSC was way devastating than I anticipated, I has been having this kind of panic few months to our P. O. P. Knowingfully well that I would get nothing doing when u return to my state. My mind was fixated on going to Lagos instead. But I couldn't achieve that due to unpreparedness couple with the fact that I don't like been a liability on others. I told my brother in-law to help secure an affordable accommodation away from dad house, I knew I can't go back to that house, prior to that, I already have a lady I was seeing who was financially boyant. To cut it short, my last two months alawee combined amounted to about 40k plus, no bed, no rug, no home appliances. I had to start from scratch, I bought rog carpet, (one I know I could afford), bought paint, did a little anger furniture, painted the one room apartment, then money finished ![]() I had to rely on my gurl friend for feeding and other little expenses I needed to sort. Then I started applying and going for interview, I slept on the ordinary Mart for almost a year with my gurl friend who would leave her well furnished house to sleep on the mat with me . That's the much I could say, things are not exactly the way I want it now but I'm able to find a quick solution to my predicament.I can say I'm employed but very underemployed.. Life without job? One could die of depression and loneliness. |
You lot will leave the main issue and start shouting BAT, OBIDAT & ATIKULATE. Spamming the whole place for reasonable people like if one of them emerged, Nigeria will start functioning. Can't we just see that the problem of this country is way thicker than raising ur hope that one individual would ride it well Instead of us to divert our attentions and focuses on having this country restructured.I know we would not listen, we are hell bent on partisan and tribal games, trying to manouver our tribe person to that office at the expense of our collective development. If u like, go and unearth Amadu Bello, Awolowo and zik combine, we will still not taste any development if this structure is not improvised. My piece. |
Mine was a bit funny, but a real scam ![]() In 2011 when Amosun, a governorship candidate from Ogun state was seducing us with oou tuition fee slash as a state University if elected. I and my padi fell for it and we processed the admission. fast forward pro admission, we had to settle for the same amount. Acceptance fee paid (non refundable), there was no turning back. Another is in 2017 during service year, I always see Ponzi schemer as gamblers. I got tempted and put my last 10k at a point when it was about to cast. I almost cry ![]() |
No matter the circumstances, don't speak ill of the dead. I believe the queen has passed on to join her ancestors now, the wise ones believe the deceased knows the truth when they pass on. The professor would have been verbally vindicated if her words were not full of hatred. She should have done better. Commiserate with the family of the deceased and modestly express your stands against her when she was alive. We are going where she's and the truth will be unearthed to us |

I can't even remember the last time I bought my some some new wears, for the fair of overpriced cost of wears in boutiques. I also don't hangout unnecessarily with people, because I also like to showboat so I can't do that if there is no shishi ![]() I now bodly tells gurl friend I'm broke, something I would not say on a good day. I also buys washing soap (premier cool) in packs at home, and other needs I can't do without, cos the one vendors in my area would extort you with over billing. You can't say it all how one been trying to adjust to this bad economy situation. People rarely go to the market this days cos you will likely return very sad. Holds 5k at hand, and you find out it buys nothing tangible. If u are a hard earners, to survive is always a rocket science in this part of the world. |

The management of the University of Osun State has announced that undergraduates who intend to transfer their studentship to the institution can start applying now as ASUU strike lingers on. The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has been on strike for over months and the union is not ready to call off the strike anytime soon because the Federal Government has not addressed its demands. In a statement signed by the union’s president, Prof Emmanuel Osodeke, on Monday, August 29, 2022, ASUU declared the ongoing strike indefinite, saying the government has 'not satisfactorily addressed its demands'. On the same day, UNIOSUN announced the commencement of the sales of Inter-University Transfer Form for the 2022/2023 Academic Session. The Ebonyi State Police Command has arrested a 19- year-old suspected serial rapist who specialises in sexually assaulting and robbing victims. Spokesperson of the command, Chris Anyanwu, who disclosed this at a briefing at the C Division of the police command on Friday, September 2, 2022, said the suspect, Miracle Onwe was arrested after he raped his latest victim in a farmland. “On 19/08/2022 at about 1700hrs, Ruth Nwizi, a 22 year old girl was farming at Aboffia village in Ebonyi LGA, Ebonyi State, when suddenly a young man came from the rear and pounced on her,” he stated. “The suspect later identified as Miracle Onwe, aged 19, an indigene of Ezzamgbo in Ohaukwu LGA, pushed the said Ruth down and forcefully had carnal knowledge of her without her consent”, Mr Anyawu added. The spokesperson further noted that immediately after the act, the suspect robbed her of her Infinix Smart 5 phone valued at #45,000 and took to his heels When the girl raised alarm and drew the attention of passers-by who went after him, the suspect dived into a nearby river with the phone. “He confessed to the crime. Both victim and suspect were taken to FETHA for post-exposure prophylaxis and laboratory tests respectively. A medical report duly issued by FETHA confirmed that the girl was actually raped”, Mr Anyanwu said. The police spokesperson said the suspect will be arraigned for rape and robbery at the appropriate Court in Abakaliki. He noted that the suspect is in the habit of molesting young girls in the area in the past “It is pertinent to mention at this juncture that the suspect had earlier this year attempted to rape a minor whom he forcefully grabbed in the company of two of her mates. However, as soon as he stripped the little girl in a bid to defile her, people who were within the vicinity pursued him and he dived into this same river. This has been his modus operandi,” While commending the youth of Abofia village, for assisting the police to arrest the suspect, the PPRO urged residents of Ebonyi State to always rise to such occasion within their various communities and partner the police to rid the State of crime and criminality. The suspect admitted to raping the victim and attempting to rape the first victim, a minor earlier in the year. The victim, Miss Ruth, while narrating her ordeal said she wants justice.
