luke4top: A friend of mind is in this situation. The father is an ibo man and the mother from akwa ibom. According to him, the father abandon him and the mother when he was a yr old. The mother took sole resposibility of the boy till he graduated from university, unknown to the boy, the mother had change his name and gave him a new name bearing her surname up till this moment although the boy now knows his father. He asked me does it have any effect on him cos all his documents bears the mother surname making him from Akwa ibom instead of Imo state. Pls what advice would u give him!

a. Make the right decision,
b. Make your partner your best friend,
c. Love and respect each other and,
d. Keep God as the centre of it all
e.Share same dreams and aspirations while respecting each other's individuality and uniqueness.
When the spark of love is added and you know just how to nurture it into a roaring flame, marriage can be the best of experiences.

I tire o. I've been seen as stupid and dumb by my friends and colleagues for refusing to gallivant around town for material things. What you describe is mild compared with the real life story of these girls. Most of them have cars and businesses courtesy of these men but underneath the polish, you see women whose souls and bodies have been broken in a thousand pieces, whose morals have been compromised beyond repair. As you rightly said, they carry the scars of a lifetime.
To each her own but I just wish they will listen cos easy comes easy goes.
