Romance / Re: For The Virtuous Ladies Out There by Metalgoong(m): 7:00am On Dec 22, 2011
Well, for all MEN, please ignore all these gibberish being spewed by them feminists. Men have the opportunity to choose any girl they want, and marry at any time they deem fit. There is enough women to go around, and thats the reason a man can marry 20 wives grin without causing shortage for his fellow men grin . Lets live and enjoy life to the fullest, and never hesitate to dump or break the heart grin of any of them feminist that lacks what you want in a wife. . . . . . Again, don't keep the relationship going just because of sympathy or because you don't wanna break her heart.

Not necessarily true,It's not guaranteed that because you went back home to get a bride your marriage will be a solid one.Keep an open mind there are some African girls raised in the west who are just as respectful and good. Same way there are some wayward ones back home

If you read my post again, you will see that I used the phrase, "lesser feminist." I never said that going back to Nigeria to marry will guarantee one a solid marriage or that those girls living in Nigeria are saints. But the truth is that the ones living in Western nations are worse when it comes to marriage department. grin grin

I really pity you. First, from your profile picture, you are very ugly. . . I guess you just moved over to UK, and thought that Naija guys living there are the same with those your mugus back home. You really need to change for good, or you remain single forever in UK.

I see Many of our brothers dating non Nigerian ladies all the time but when it comes down to marriage I will tell you this !! From London to Texas and in between, Most end up with Nigerian women.

I have seen quite a number of guys swear they shall have nothing to do with Naija women and after a number of years we are attending a Naija wedding with both parties being full blooded Nigerians.

When I asked one of my friends,he said his bad experiences was a thing of the past, he would now be settling  down with his girlfriend from Naija
A former workmate told me his parents warned him they will disown him if he brings home a foreign girl so he had no choice but had to marry a girl from his home town  grin
Well what can I say, our preferences and priorities change as we mature

The main point is that most Naija guys living in the West usually dont marry Nigerian girls that were born in the West or presently living in the West. As you highlighted in your post, guymen would rather go back to his villlage and marry a girl who is a lesser feminist compared to what is obtainable from Nigeria girls living in Western nations like US, Canada and UK.

@Poster

The gospel truth is that most naija guys in US and Canada dey avoid you naija gals like fluke, guymen don tear eye like moooost naija girls, I mean you staunch feminists born or living around here . You really have to consider going back to naija to find husband grin, or expand your options by being ready to marry a non Nigerian that comes your way.

Infact, I just dumped one of ur Sistas who have been disturbing me ( a 22 yr old Jolly Fellow ) with her marriage fantasies, whereas everything about her smells feminism feminism, equality in everything. Like you, she calls herself a christian woman, always try to use bible to manipulate a guyman like me  grin grin grin ,  but ferociously down plays  the part of bible that talks about women submitting to their husbands. She calls this part obsolete, that it doesn't apply to this 21st century. grin grin grin

I never know why most Nigerians guys living in my area dont have Nigerian girl friends, until i entered the river and got the answer.

A young doctor had moved out to a small rural community to replace the retiring country doctor. The older doctor suggested the young one accompany him on his house calls so the community could become used to a new doctor.

At the first house a woman complained, "I've been a little sick to my stomach."

The older doctor said, "Well, you've probably been overdoing the fresh fruit. Why not cut back on the amount you've been eating and see if that doesn't do the trick?"

As they left, the younger doctor said, "You didn't even examine that woman. How did you arrive at your diagnosis so quickly?"

"I didn't have to. You noticed I dropped my stethoscope on the floor in there? When I bent over to pick it up, I noticed a half-dozen banana peels in the trash. That was what was probably making her sick."

"Huh!," the younger doctor exclaimed, "pretty clever. I think I'll try that at the next house."

Arriving at the next house, they spent several minutes talking with a younger woman. She complained that she just didn't have the energy she
once did.
"I'm feeling terribly run down lately."

The younger doctor says "You've probably been doing too much work for the church, Perhaps you should cut back a bit and see if that helps."

As they left, the elder doc said, "Your diagnosis is almost certainly correct, but how did you arrive at it so fast?"

"Well, just as you did at the last house, I dropped my stethoscope and when I bent down to retrieve it, I noticed the preacher under the bed." lol

A Unclad female flagged down an Igboman Taxi driver. At first, the Igboman found it weird to pick up the Unclad woman;however, after giving it a second thought, he decided to let the Unclad woman into his car. When she got into the taxi, the Igboman taxi driver greeted her and then spent the next 20 minutes looking at her. At this junction, the Unclad female passenger interjected, and the following back n forth ensued between the two:

Politics / Anambra To Absorb Sacked Workers From Abia by Metalgoong(m): 6:46am On Dec 09, 2011
BY ENYIM ENYIM

ONITSHA- Anambra State government said Thursday that indigenes of the state sacked by Abia State governor, Chief Theodore Orji, would be absorbed into its service.

Secretary to the State Government, Chief Paul Odenigbo, while addressing newsmen said government had already set up a committee to look into the matter, with a view to finding out those genuinely and illegally sacked by Abia State government, adding that investigation showed that some of the sacked workers had certificate problem.

On whether Anambra State government would sack Abia natives working in the state, Odenigbo said Governor Peter Obi was a core Igbo man and would, therefore not retaliate, saying that “we have condemned the action of the Abia governor.”

Speaking on Dim Emeka Odimugwu Ojukwu, he said his demise would rather unite the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, than disintegrate it.

Odenigbo said: ” The death of Ojukwu will not cause the disintegration of APGA. We agree that he is the pillar of the party but his death will not in any way affect the electoral fortune of the party.

“His spirit will not allow us to disintegrate. He was a good leader. APGA would rather grow than die.”

Politics / Ojukwu: Biafra Would Have Been The Toast Of Africa – Ogbemudia by Metalgoong(m): 9:44am On Dec 04, 2011
By Taye Obateru & Gabriel Enogholase
TWO-time governor of defunct Bendel State, Dr. Samuel Osaigbovo Ogbemudia, has described the late Ikemba Nnewi, Chief Chukwuemeka Ojukwu, as a “gallant nationalist and freedom fighter” who fought for his rights and for the rights of the overwhelming majority of his Igbo people.

In reminiscence of their days in the Nigeria Army and the events that led to the civil war, Ogbemudia said Ojukwu “was always a visionary, forth-right, courageous, outspoken, nationalist and patriotic”.

According to him,“Ojukwu wanted to see a Nigerian nation where all ethnic nationalities are recognized and fairly treated, not a country of disparate and desperate ethnic groups. He threw all that was left of his physical and mental energy into this enterprise but did not live to see it through”.

He went on in his condolence message, “Although it is a universal saying that you don’t say evil about the dead, in the case of Chief Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, the Ikemba Nnewi, there is truly no evil to talk about his life. Many say he was a rebel. No, he was a gallant nationalist and freedom fighter. He openly disagreed on issues and rather than stomach his dissatisfaction, he fought for his rights and for the rights of the overwhelming majority of his Ibo people who looked up to him.

“Imagine that he succeeded, and Biafra had become a state, going by the feats they achieved at a very difficult time, Biafra would have become the toast of Africa by now. Perhaps many other new states would have been born.

“I was a major and later a brigade major when he was a Lt Col. commanding a battalion at Kano. We were all under the command of Kaduna 1st Brigade. Following the coup of January 15, 1966, he was appointed Military Governor of Eastern Region, David Ejoor for the Midwest, Adeyinka Adebayo for the West and Usman Hassan Katsina for the North. The crisis ensued as the North had good reasons to believe that the coup was targeted against them. Many Ibos in the North were killed in a reprisal manner. Gen Ironsi the Head of State was also killed.

“By 1967, the crisis had worsened and Ojukwu declared Biafra. He invaded the Midwest. Same year i was appointed Military Governor of the Midwest. We fought against Biafra Army and liberated the Midwest. Midwest sacrificed human and material resources to save Nigeria. The Head of State at this time was Gen. Gowon. He appreciated this and remarked that but for Midwest, there would have been no Nigeria.

“That notwithstanding, my admiration for Ojukwu remained high. I contributed all I could to the rehabilitation of the east.

“My friendship with Chief Ojukwu effectively resumed when he returned from exile. I helped with his political reintegration and was sorry that he wasn’t allowed to go to the Senate in 1983. He was always visionary, forth-right, courageous, outspoken, nationalistic and patriotic.

Meanwhile, an Igbo socio-cultural organization, Izu Umunna, has urged the Senate to reverse its decision which opposed a state burial for Chief Chukwuemeka Ojukwu, in the interest of justice and fair play.

Excuse me!

This issue of home state workers and sacking of non-home state workers has become very stuuuupiiid, i most say.

During state creation Anambra/Enugu in the 90s, I recall that people from Enugu in the new Anambra civil service relocated to Enugu while the Anambra people relocated to Awka. I recall my dad was in the civil service in Awka prior to the state creation; he was relocated to Enugu while we(my mum, me and my siblings) remained back in Onitsha. When the separation was to difficult to maintain, we had to move to our villa in Enugu state (30 mins drive from Enugu metropolis) so that my dad could focus on his work and family at the same time. My mum had to apply for transfer as well so as to continue her teaching profession in Enugu state.

Everyday, our politicians come up with the idea of removing state of origin from our constitution. Yet even in Enugu, teachers(Enugu State natives) with lots of experience where asked to move to their LGA of origin. [s]To remain in the state capital you will not become a Head Master or Head Mistress since it is not your LGA of origin.[/s] I think this was later changed. Furthermore, wives of non-indigenous Federal civil service workers (aka Federal-wives or Federal-husbands) were also having issues with their employment with state civil service.

Where am I heading to with this argument?

I was born in Anambra, in fact I was born very close to Omambara River(Anambra River); I consider myself an Anambra man more than Enugu man. Even though I am not into civil service, I think it is high time we did away with this discrimination attitude under the guise of state of origin. We should be looking forward to a more united front, so as to encourage private businesses and development in our states.

I really don't understand your answer to the OP's question. But to answer the OP question, my mum was a top civil servant in Anambra state for more than 20 years. And she just told me that there was never a time Anambra State sacked Abians or non indigenes from her workforce. Infact, Anambra state has the highest number of non- indigenes in her workforce; afterall, she doesnt answer HOME FOR ALL for nothing.
