backnbeta: Bro, speak for yourself sir! Why would Yoruba align with killer herdsmen? Is there any law that says we can't form an alliance with other Southerners to fight the people who have openly declared war on the South if it comes to that? I hope and pray we don't reach a point of saturation, a point where we have to resist these killer herdsmen as a team! A broomstick can be broken easily, a bunch of broomsticks can't!!
To the BIafra group, it's better we all take it easy and explore more peaceful options...outright declaration of war will not yield anything good. I understand the frustration, but the herders have federal backing Theres no denying the fact that there exist a population of fulani who have been good neighbors living together and adding to the land production of their Southern hosts. If Southerners declare war these population will also be wiped out. The best approach like you say is slow down now. We have registered our displeasure and North now hear us in ways theyve never done before....and theres no going back. I think thats a small but significant influence in expectations going forward. So now we must not wipe out our productive fulani neighbors....but we must devise ways to communicate to FG that Southerners have never had problem with diversity or accomodating others...but settling deplorable elements in our communities is abhoring, our ancestors reject it and we reject it. Gun totting fulani have a choice between keeping their guns and banned from South, or parting with their guns for access to luxuriant grassland (not farmland) for grazing. |

deji68: Well, the server result is already admitted in court as evidence, because it relevant to the petition..... The petition is that the official result is not Authentic and should be discredited and rulled null. ....is the document in Atiku's hand authentic? No it is not, because it is not backed by any electoral act. Even if there werw server results such results would have been invalid because the process that sourced them is done outside law (electoral act). So what act supports the material in Atiku's hand? None. He is holding a document that is obtained outside law and claimed to have been produced by a process also outside law. Admission of the material is what is called discretionary ruling....that is, evaluating a situation on its pros and cons and doing the right thing to preserve order, even if that path would not ordinarily have been acceptable under the law. It is a best practice for society. This dovetails into Abaribe's question to CJN other day. So a similar situation with exact input might produce a different legal path after the situational is evaluated and not seen to be a threat to order. It is inconsistent but all the same a best practice given individual case scenario. |

But we wull help them during their defense.
Till then, APC robots, enjoy your propaganda You should be able to answer this simple question independent of INEC appearance. Any document not authenticated by electoral authority is not admissible as legitimate record. Is the record in Atiku's possession authentic? I never went to law school but is obvious to see that that Atiku's case can be punctured using technicalities to test its validity. Im sure the lagal counsels all know this, but they are paid in hours. Why rush to end the contract? |

At the moment, the bottomline is the server result possessed by Atiku and which formed the material for this petition is a falsified/forged document.
If proven that Atiku presented falsified information he will be banned from ever running for elective office under the Electoral Act.
He could also be prosecuted if care is not taken.... |

myobjective: I was having this debate with one of my supposed educated fulani friend this evening. He quickly raised the issue of cattle grazing route, he said and I quote " there was cattle route put in place by the colonial masters to allow the movement of herdsmen to move from the north to the south and all across west Africa during dry season but due to population explosion, most of the route has been taking over by farmers ". I quickly pick out flaws in his arguement.
To begin with, cattle route were not created by colonial master, what we have in place was an unofficial route ply by herdsmen during dry season from far north and southern Niger republic to northern Guinea savanna in places like southern Kaduna, Niger, taraba, adamawa and northern Cameroon. Later, the northern colonial government now made all these route to official hence all the cattle route are in Northern Nigeria.
Secondly, most of the communities where these routes passes especially those in middle belt, were not made aware of these routes, compensation were not paid to the indigenous people in these area, hence no legal backing to the route Thanks for speaking up on this. Very true. There is a document called BOBI grazing route. I read it a long time before and should have saved it for times like this. I know still out there but cant find it at moment. It details some of these things you and i are saying. |

We need to do something about our borders, 85% of Okada riders from mile 2 to okoko are foreigners some of them don't even understand hausa language but majority of southerners don't know d difference between them and a fulani man, Mr president need to pay more attention to our border Everything must not be about President. Look what you just wrote there....this is in Lagos. We have a Governor in Lagos. The last two Governors in the State, Fashola and Ambode had plans to ban okada because of security issue. Correct? Who made noise on social media and protested the move? People living in Lagos! So weting concern Buhari in this matter? If we want to clean up our cities some ease will need to be sacrificed. Okada is easy (not comfortable but just easy) and should be banned. Of things get any worse than this it will take a very bad confrontation to clean up and that confrontation will not be bloodshed free. |

agwom: The Vice presidential candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2019 presidential election, Mr. Peter Obi has said he was ready to pursue the party’s mandate to its logical conclusion. Obi, who made the disclosure at the 8th stakeholders meeting of Anambra State chapter of PDP, titled “Repositioning for power and good governance” and held in Awka, said he was ready to lay down his life to ensure that Nigerians are delivered from hardship in the land.
“I am ready to lay down my life to ensure that Nigerians are rescued from the hardship inflicted on them by President Muhammadu Buhari- led Government in the country. “I will fight for this mandate till the end. The person who is at helm of affair today ran for fourth time and nobody killed him. So, I am not afraid because when PDP was in power, it did not kill any body”, he said.
Obi also said that PDP is a brand that every Nigerian wants to identify with because Nigerians have lost confidence in the ruling APC government. He said the only hope for Nigeria today is PDP, urging them never to lost hope in the party.
