As a leader of Miyetti-Allah, have you ever caught any Fulani engaged in criminality? This is a security matter. If you go to the office of the security agencies you will find out whether we do that or not. But when we suspect anybody we first ask the person the reason for his coming. The Miyetti-Allah has that instruction in the South-East, if such a person does not give convincing answer we hand him over to the police. How has the Fulani vigilante been working in Enugu State as MACBAN said at the South-East security summit? In Enugu State now, if I receive a report as a zonal chairman that cattle entered any farm, before the next day the matter will be resolved because of the boys we are working with. I told you earlier that we sent four boys to one community in Uzo-Uwani; our boys work 24 hours to ensure that there is peace between us and our host. What is your reaction to clamis that a helicopter dropped arms for herdsmen inside a forest in Enugu State? All these rumours are what have been causing problems every where. Does a Fulani man use jet? In every society, there are those that don’t like peace and make sure they sabotage peace. The government of Enugu State is trying. Those who make those rumours don’t like what the governor is doing. All these are rumours and lies. Are you saying the security operatives will be watching such planes go up and come down? It is not true. There are fears that that the herdsmen want to use the N100 billion offered by the Federal Government to execute the vigilante project? The least people that benefit from government are the Fulani. The farmers benefit more than the cattle breeders. Every year they give farmers fertilizers, they give them chemicals to farm but there is no single thing for the Fulani man. Nobody is vaccinating the cattle, no loan. We have so many people that are suffering, who have lost their cattle in this farmers and herdsmen crisis but do you know that a Fulani man cannot be compensated and it’s just about 35 percent of Fulani that have cows, the rest 65 percent have no single cow. There is no empowerment for them and now people are saying they want to give Fulani N100 billion and I just hear these things in the media. If any money was given to us, I think that I should know as a zonal chairman so that I can collect the one for South-East. I want people to discountenance all these fabricated rumours against herdsmen. How has the Fulani embraced nomadic education given what you said that they are marginalized in Nigeria? The nomadic schools were destroyed because of crises. Some of the schools are there but no teachers. The schools are no longer as functional as they used to be. Did the Fulani go to the schools before the dilapidation? They started schools before but since they are longer functional they are not going again. The schools were not functioning before some of the Fulani left those places. You know Fulani are itinerants; they don’t stay in one place. So when there is crisis in a place they leave and the nomadic school will cease to function because there is no provision for transfer of the school to his new abode. Why is it that you people refuse to subject your cattle for checks at veterinary posts on the state borders with the North? You should understand that there are different types of cows transported from the North to the East. We have cattle traders who use lorries to load their cattle from the North to the East. Those ones are checked, they pay before they enter any state but the ones from the nomads don’t come from the North. They were born and bred up here (South-East) and they are rearing their cows going from border to border.) How do you think the Fulani herdsmen can redeem their image once again in Nigeria? What I am advising Nigerians now is whoever they want to criticize, not just the Fulani, you call the leaders first. Sometimes people are afraid to invite the Miyetti-Allah to tell them that this or that will affect them and their image. Now you called me to interview me and so we are ready to answer any person or group that call on us for interaction or advice. It is wrong to stay at a distance and make conclusions about somebody or a people. What I know is that Fulani people are good people, they are peace loving, they don’t like trouble with anybody, they respect the laws and cultures of the people. The only thing is the misunderstanding between them and the locals, and the governments in the South-East are doing something in that regard because in all the states in the South-East, we have committees regulating the affairs of herdsmen and farmers. The committees comprise the farmers, the Igwes (traditional rulers), the local government chairmen and the herdsmen. They rob minds together and ensure that any case that arises is resolved amicably. Do you agree that ranching is the best solution to all these problems? I have said it that ranching, grazing reserves cannot be possible in the South-East because there is limitation of land in the South-East. What I see in the South-East is to allow a cattle rearer to go and graze his cattle. Wherever there is no farm, no housing, he is free to graze his cow. When the owners of the land want to cultivate or want to develop their land, the herdsman will shift his cattle from that place. When cows destroy farms unexpectedly, there are committees in all the South-East states, the matter should be reported to the committees and the owner of the cows will be called to account for what they destroyed, he will pay for them. If a cow was killed, the herdsmen should also report and the committee will fish out those who killed the cow and they pay for the cow they killed. I think that this is the best solution in the South-East. So ranching can work in the North where there is enough land? Yes. How do you feed the cows there since the North since the area is more affected by desert encroachment and climate change? Anybody who wants to do business must make provision for that. If they are ready to do ranching, they make provision for conveying the food from wherever to wherever. |
Do you mean they will together become guards at night and in daytime in the communities? The Fulani vigilante is inside the bush and any fault that is attributed to the Fulani, it is that time that those people will be invited and they will guide the vigilante of the locals on what to do. If it is their own people, they know how to get them; if it is destruction of farm they will join hands to make sure there is sanity in that area. Will the Fulani vigilante be restricted to the bushes? Their work is for the Fulani, they cannot guard the locals, they cannot arrest an Igboman, they cannot molest any woman because the host community has its own vigilante. These people are working with the Fulani. First of all, what they will be doing is to identify the Fulani that enter into the South-East, if they spot the bad ones, they will be told to go back, if they are good, we stay with them. They will work hand-in-hand with their host communities. How will you address the fear that people already have about Fulani and criminality? In all the tribes, you have the good and the bad ones. It is not fair to say that all Fulani are criminals. I want to assure you that the Fulani are here for greener pastures, they are not here to fight or to rape or rob and in all these accusations, the Fulanis are suffering more than any other person. They are kidnapped, raped and killed. You won’t believe it if I tell you the number of Fulani that have been killed in the South-East, it is just that we don’t make noise about it so that it will not bring more troubles. We don’t talk about our predicament but the Fulani are suffering more than any other person. Will the proposed Fulani vigilante carry arms? The vigilante will be approved by the authority first. If the government approves that they carry weapons, fine! If not they will not carry arms. The weapon that Fulani have is their cutlass and sticks. |
•Says ranching, grazing reserves almost impossible in South-East. Chairman of the Miyetti-Allah Cattle Breeders Association, MACBAN, in the South East zone, Alhaji Giddado Sadiq, in this interview speaks on how the proposed Fulani Vigilante will work in communities of the South-East, noting also that ranching is almost impossible in the zone because of limited land space. The proposal is that wherever you chose to live, you have to make sacrifices and do what will bring peace in the area. If you read the newspapers you will see so much criticisms on the Fulani herdsmen, the Fulani in general or the northern extraction here in the South-East and so we have to do whatever is within our reach to redeem this name. There is no race that does not have criminals among them. It is not good to say that everybody from the race is a criminal. That is why we want to come out to work with the people that we know. The Fulani herdsmen here in the South-East or any other place are looking for greener pastures to raise their cattle. They are not here to bring about violence or to make troubles. So that is why we want to redeem the name and for people to see us as peace loving people. This vigilante we are talking about, we did not say that they are going to work on their own but they will be under the supervision of their host or under the supervision of the Fulani. How will the Fulani vigilante work with their hosts when they leave in the bush? Most of the clashes we are having between farmers and herders are about the destruction of crops or killing of cattle. If we have a task force or vigilante from our own Fulani side, whenever a report is made to me as a leader, like in a recent report made to me at Uzo-Uwani, which I assigned four boys to go and assess that destruction, value the destruction and make sure that the owners of the cattle pay compensation to the farmer. This thing cannot be done with only Fulani, at least the host will be there, the governor’s aide will be there with the Fulani, they will go and assess, after assessing they will know the Fulani that is responsible for that destruction. This is how they can work. Whenever there is a report of anything, these people will go. If the person responsible is from our side, they will know. Does it mean that the Fulani vigilante boys will join the community vigilante to work together? That is what I mean. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.vanguardngr.com/2019/06/how-fulani-vigilante-will-work-in-south-east-sadiq-miyetti-allah-chair/%3famp

Erediauwa:Say whattt ![]() I thought Lawan was Tinubu' s stooge. What happened, why the change of heart? |
Bellomike:It has to do with population. Imagine if population of Nigeria was 5million instead of 200million. Honestly, i dont even think every one calling themselves Nigerians are indeed Nigerians. |
Test your knowledge on that exam. Your score will make you appreciate Buhari's education in North. Everyone that questioned Buhari's scholarship should be given this exam to write. |
If you read the postcard sitting on the floor raise your hand! Very powerful message, is it not? This man get power! |
They said the bus was heading to Onitsha. Who do you think the kidnapped passengers are? ![]() Well, Ibo thronged to the thread to jubilate the attack. |
I think this MURIC should join Nollywood. They are bunch of entertainers. This ia nothing more than comedy. |
jowhyte:3 Factors can be attributed. 1. Gene. There is a lot of fulani admixture in Northern ethnics. Fulani has a fragile lithe frame but strong bone structure and endurance. This comes from their ancestral social occupation. 2. Cuisine Most of the food they eat is offal based - plenty fiber. Whereas food in South is mostly starchy and does not break down easily. It ferments in the food canal and produces high energy for muscle and gaseous byproducts that bloat the intestines. 3. Lifestyle. Their religion serves as a regulator against consumption of harmful and synthetic food and drinks. The ritual in their prayer can also be viewed as a mode of body exercise done 5times everyday, and free. Let me stop here for now... ![]() |
goalernestman:Im telling you history backed with artefacts and excavated dvidence. Your first state rulership was Ogiso, they were chiefs, not kings. Prior to the Edo had no system of rulership. You were not cvivilized to know how to rule. Rulership was introduced to your land by foreigners from civilized Ife. This act was repeated with a kingdom, also from foreigners from Ife. This is where Omo n Oba came from. |
ZombiePUNISHER:No problem, is he ready to accept godfather? ![]() |
They are not Afenifere. They are break away and proper name of their group is Afenifere Renewal Group. But you see these people forgot to "renew" their political brand. They will soon become Afenifere Forgotten Group. |
Im surprised KWAM was not there. I guess he is waiting for him in Lagos for the Eko celebration. |
ZombiePUNISHER:Stop bleating! Tell us who in North you will support. Lets compare him with Umahi and see who is better candidate. |
drskyfly007:You dont have to support him. In fact he was not picked by Igbo. Miyetti Allah picked him to succeed Buhari. So dont start beating chest. Let fulani herdsmen beat chest, he is their choice for 2023. |
mrvitalis:You should be suspicious of macban, not Yoruba. |
Similarly, some of them are said to be lobbying former Lagos State governor, and national leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu.Ignore godfather at your peril! Team Lagos....sailing! ![]() |
Me i think Macban is using jazz. They put otumopo for mouth before they go into meeting with Igbo governors. Whatever they say the governors agree to it. It takes 7days for the otumopo to wear off. Then governors coming out of stupor begin to offer resistance but by then the deed has been done. Were ni macban! |
On alleged selective disarming of vigilante, hunters and other licensed arms-bearing Nigerians by the former Inspector General of Police on the orders of the Presidency That is why I said they want to protect their perceived conquered colony. They disarmed the vigilantes and hunters in South-East where they regard as their colony. They regard South-East as the colony under them, like the British once regarded Nigeria as a colony under them. That is what is presently happening now. That is the way MACBAN,“is seeing South-East now; they are sending their people to make arrangement to guard their colony with their police and they are not joking about it. They are arming them as they are disarming the vigilantes and hunters in Igbo land.

Here is the truth of the matter. If Tinubu call Omokri with an offer to serve in Gov. Sanwo-Olu cabinet today. Soon as Omokri land in Lagos I guarantee you, before he goes to see his parents in the creeks his first call will be Bourdillon to prostrate flat for Asiwaju. Talk cheap for mouth... ![]() |
RichBoy247:Who posted this ![]() . Wickedt guy. |
People have been flown in helicopters for decades to get them around obstacles and barriers. In this regard road traffic will be considered a barrier. Chief S.L. Edu did this many times in the 80s. |

Now that the North has endorsed Governor Umahi. Ibos should not hesitate to rally behind his nomination and support their noble son towards becoming a President of Nigeria. Tell Atiku to go and sit down. Umahi for PDP Candidacy in 2023. Northerners are behind this Ibo son. |
I follow this thread. I want to see how Ibos that cry of hatred in Lagos respond to exact same order in Imo. |
This is how Ibo start shyyte, then when it's implemented against them they cry marginalization. Does Sullivan not know that other regions are aware of the value of language and common tongue to fostering unity? So why are they not bringing it forth? Because it not doable. For sake of mischief, let's say now that Yorubas take this thought from East and run with it to claim that the national language should be Yoruba since every ethnic group and tongue can be found in Yorubaland. Ibos will now say Yorubas are selfish. Unified language is not your problem at moment. If it is tabled for adoption Ibo cannot win it. So learn to fight battles you can win, not the ones that enslaves you to others. Tell Chime to go back to sleep. |
Omooba77:This is how citizens create problem for their governors and hinder the governor from delivering goodwill to the people. You now come here to say that govt is trying to take over this school because they refused erevtion of mosque in their campus. Thats sensational, agreed...but you failed to tell truth of what happened. Do you know, and are you aware, that Kwara State is one of the best in religious tolerance? Kwara has raised more Reverends and Pastors than anywhere else you can think of in Yorubaland. Ogun State used to be the land of missionary work. In modern evangelism Kwara leads. So dont come here with falsehood trying to make people hate Gov. Abdulrazaq. He is a warm and good leader and will never condone anyone under him to disrespect christianity by taking their land and converting to mosque. You are bloody liar and a fa.g.got! God bless Governor Abdulrazaq and strenghten him to lead his state and people to success and prosperity. Team Kwara! |
Is anyone able to see what these Yoruba elders just did? So there are two meetings ongoing in West. 1. Facilitated by DAWN for Governors to hold a stakeholders meeting on security for the SW region. This is more or less a Town Hall congregation to connect at local level. 2. A second one held by Ooni and Alaafin to synthesize and form quorum with traditional rulers on security issues in Yorubaland. This is like State of State meeting and where the decision-making will come for a directive to lock Yorubaland down if need be. The Aso Rock visit by Yoruba Elders is a reconnaissance. It serves two purposes... (a) it registers our grievance formally at the Federal Level and with the Commander of National Security. (b) it marks a milestone in the partnership between Yorubaland and FG on security. You notice that SGF is in this picture...it is not by accident! It is my suspicion that these Elders were selected and Tinubu was ordered to lead the way and get them audience with the Commander in Chief. This is a typical Alaafin's dispatch, guaranteed! We wouldnt know now until a time in future. ![]() |
Chairman of Nigerian Governors Forum (NGF), Dr. Kayode Fayemi, on Tuesday declared that the quest for the creation of state police by some governors, groups and individuals in the country was not intended to undermine the existing Federal Police, the Nigeria Police Force. Fayemi, who is also the Governor of Ekiti State made this declaration while speaking at a security summit, tagged, “Stakeholders’ security summit: Focus on Western Nigeria” held in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital. The summit, which was organised by the Development Agenda for Western Nigeria (DAWN) Commission, had all the six governors from the region, Rotimi Akeredolu (Ondo), Seyi Makinde (Oyo), Babajide Sanwo-Olu (Lagos), Gboyega Oyetola (Osun) Dapo Abiodun (Ogun) and Fayemi (Ekiti) in attendance. Others were security chiefs, traditional rulers, leaders of thought and prominent groups within the region among whom are a former deputy governor of Osun State, Senator Iyiola Omisore, Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yoruba land, Chief Gani Adams, Secretary of Yoruba Council of Elders (YCE), Dr. Kunle Olajide, Ewi of Ado Ekiti, Oba Rufus Adejuyigbe and Olukare of Ikare-Akoko Oba Akadiri Momoh among others. The list also included, Dr. Femi Majekodunmi, Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulraseed Adewale Akanbi, AIG in charge of Zone 11 which consists of Oyo, Osun and Ekiti, Mr. Leye Oyebade, Commissioners of Police in the six states, among others. Fayemi while speaking maintained that clamour for state police by governors in the region, groups and individuals across the country, is not intended to undermine or abolish the already existing federal police. The NGF Chairman while remarking that the security situation in the country has warranted that each state has its own police, insisted that the exiting federal police and the state police would work together when states are allowed to have their own police. He maintained that what was obtainable in other countries where federalism is being practiced is that, federal and state police work without engaging in unhealthy rivalry. He added that he is of the opinion that federal and state police would work to complement each others’ efforts without any rivalry, as he insisted that the quest is not against the already existing federal police or to undermine it or to abolish it. Fayemi said, “Our clamor for state police is not intended to abolish federal police. They go side by side anywhere in the world. Our call for state police is not to abolish the existing Nigeria Police force. “In all the meetings, I have been attending is, security. Even your Governors last week, we were in Abuja last week, when the National Economic Council was inaugurated, we have only one agenda, it is security. “Our quest for state police is not tantamount to abolition of federal police. “We have deployed drone system in order to ensure that criminal elements are tamed. Wherever they are, we will track them. “We must tackle poverty in the region; we must tackle poverty in our midst. All hands must be on the deck to ensure that we stop the criminal elements in our midst.”
