So if Federal govt was to leave them to manage their resources and develop themselves, everyone in the state will probably die of poverty. They all migrate to Yorubaland. I am proud Igbos do no such thing. I strongly support that house of assembly in Igbo lands criminalize the art of kneeling to greet, lying on the ground to greet or undue hailing of anybody be you a religious or traditional figure. We respect people that do so in their tradition but this is not in line with our tradition.
Don't worship anyone except God. Nobody should have an excessive power over you. Just honor the elder and your parents. But don't go extra mile. It is called mental freedom. Is called human liberty and helps to build your confidence. It is not by accident that we Igbos dominate business in Nigeria and expanding into other African countries. God created us complexly unique. You wont kneel or prostrate to greet but you have no qualms kick-starting a rib or two to wake parents from slumber. |

Princedapace: Aside bad governance, u really dont know how useless the current structure of the Nigeria state is.
The current structure pushes everything to Lagos state.
No state has any viable business like that. The entire nigeria investment goes mainly to Lagos and Abuja. This is due to main government controlled agencies have their head quarters in Lagos and abuja. This, aside the ports in Lagos, make business and investors to site their head offices in these two cities. That has greatly affected other states.
Also, the way nigeria is structured, the federal govt is way too richer than the component states. This is not healthy. Almost all governors have houses in abuja and Lagos, they have hotels and investments in Lagos and abuja, all government offices are all controlled from Lagos and abuja.
Nigeria is such a useless country. South africa has three official federal capitals. Why? They want investments to move around. Nigeria has intentionally suppressed other regions from growing due to fear of breakup. Very funny something..
If nigeria wants to really grow, there is nothing Buhari can do, or even Atiku. The best nigeria can do is to be sincere with her existence. First, understand that regions can break up if they feel uncomfortable with the union. And to avoid that, the country needs to work for all regions.
The federal govt must reduce her work loads becus we have situations where states take up federal projects. I mean states that are struggling to earn, they have to take up federal govt projects like roads, etc. That is so wrong. States fund police, support the military, etc. Still from their little fund they get. So what is federal govt doing with all the money she earns? Federal govt controls the most juicy parts of making money in the country, so the federal govt should be able to take care of all her projects without lacking.
If we look at it seriously, states have more things to do than FG, that is why I support complete change of allocation. To me, states should handle their natural resources and pay royalties to FG. States have more responsibilities to take care, yet FG earns more than states with huge gap.
In fact, FG remains liability becus the national assembly and many FG agencies just have directors and staff who are over paid and earn crazy allowances while states struggle to pay their staff. Nigeria is poorly structured. Who ever that wants to fix Nigeria must look at her constitution and change many things.
It is either the country embraces six FG capitals to bring development closer to all regions, or the country simply allow states control her resources more.
States should control water too and allow FG percentage portion.
Also system of election needs to be worked on so that states can be discouraged from birthing kids anyhow without proper planning. The current system supports over breeding.. Your assertion is partly correct. Companies like to operate with as low overhead as is possible. Operating a company in Lagos is very expensive but in terms of security and peace of mind Lagos is predictably business friendly. Corporate decision makers will choose security and predictability above cost savings. SS have ports just like Lagos but they are not business friendly due to insecurity and unpredictability, even though cheaper and cost sustainable than Lagos. You keep an army of active militants that terrorize government and has history of kidnapping corporate workers and their managers....this is statement to corporate businesses to stay away. So you cannot blame just the government for the economic stagnation in your zone, you must take self responsibility and accountability for your actions and its direct negative effect to drive away tax-paying businesses. |

Anyone can come face to a face with a gunman and in the case you take off running they will point and fire, its a hit or miss, but they won't run after you with determination....unless they are on an errand. Who sent them...? This is what detectives will try to resolve.
Cctv, public and private, are everywhere on American streets...at traffic lights, on bank premises, at parking garages, at corner stores, on office buildings... They can subponea and obtain film records from every camera in a two block perimeter of the crime scene to ascertain when the gunman entered the zone and time difference when the murder happened. Moreso, did other people walk to their car before her.....why her and not the others that went before her? This will set motive of the gunman and that the crime was premeditated, thus establishing murder....not manslaughter or homicide.
If cameras dont nail him cellphone records will. No one should think their cellphones only keep tracking records when you place calls, no, that's wrong. Agreed the calls reveal who you call or received call from but in idle state your phone still transmit records that can be tracked to pinpoint your footsteps. Roaming data from the cell tower in a proximity will show phone registrations. The same feature that allows a phone to cal 911 (emergency service) when there is no subscription on the phone also allows the phone to broadcast its position when its idle and not in use.

Politics › Re: Rescue Nigeria From President Court Of Appeal On Presidential Election Trabunal by MetaPhysical: 10:54am On May 11, 2019*. Modified: 12:58pm On May 11, 2019 |
raymondele86: What is your opinion?
Justice Zainab Bulkachuwa, the President of the Court of Appeal and Chairman of the 2019 Presidential Election Petition Tribunal is not qualified to head the Tribunal. Reports have it that she is an interested party and she is highly compromised #RescueNigeria
Justice Zainab Bulkachuwa is the wife of Adamu Mohammed Bulkachuwa, who is currently a Senator elect, on the platform of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC). Adamu Mohammed Bulkachuwa is a Senator Elect, representing Bauchi North Senatorial District at the National Assembly. #RescueNigeria
There are also reports that President Muhammadu Buhari and his Party, the All Progressive Congress (APC), deliberately ceded the Bauchi North Senatorial ticket to Mohammed Bulkachuwa in order to use him to influence his wife, who the APC believed will head the 2019 Presidential Election Petition Tribunal. #RescueNigeria
It has been revealed that President Buhari and the APC, planned a total and complete infiltration of the judiciary before the 2019 General Elections, by removing Justice Walter Onnoghen as Chief Justice of the Federation and deliberately making Justice Bulkachuwa’s husband a Senator in order to influence her decision at the upcoming Presidential Tribunal. #RescueNigeria
We have also been made aware that the APC has ordered the Bulkachuwas to trash all Appeals of the PDP, emanating from the NASS and Governorship Elections Tribunals in favour of the ruling APC as seen in the ruling of Appeal Court today on the Osun Guber Election. #RescueNigeria
More revelations show that Justice Zainab Bulkachuwa was also mentioned in a secret memo submitted to President Buhari by the Directorate of States Services (DSS). In that memo, the DSS described Justice Bulkachuwa as “incurably corrupt”. #RescueNigeria
The DSS in that secret memo to President Buhari also accused Justice Bulkachuwa of engaging in bribery and taking kickbacks from judges she assigned to lucrative and juicy cases. #RescueNigeria
Justice Bulkachuwa is therefore an interested Party, accused of corruption & is therefore not competent to chair the 2019 Presidential Election Petition Tribunal. She should recuse herself immediately as her membership of the panel will render the panel invalid, biased and partisan. #RescueNigeria Sir, there is difference between "not qualified" and "conflict of interest". The Judge is well qualified. Her marriage to an APC Senator will not pass "credibility test". The recommendation is for her to recuse (excuse or remove herself) from the case. She is well qualified to sit as Judge in the tribunal but not trusted to represent without bias. Not necessarily that she would be biased but there is a test to ascertain if that is possible or not and because of marriage it is ruled that she would be. Please let us at all times exhibit logic, intelligence and fact qhen we speak in public. |

The president is wrong on this. There are different levels of education, not necessarily university. My cousin is a welder in Canada and highly educated in that field. What will now guarantee a bright future?.I hope he is not referring to Yahoo. You spoke from an uneducated perspective. What is education? A tool that empowers an individual to improve himself/herself - Prof Sophie Oluwole. Many of us get education but beyond that fail to achieve the goal for self-improvement. What is self-improvement? Anything that adds value to the dignity and attainment of security and self-worth. A graduate that goes to get training and becomes a plumber or a electrician will soon become self-sufficient in his ability to have his own apartment, feed himself, date and marry and keep a household. His mate out on the street roaming around with his resume, knocking doors looking for employment will soon land in nairaland looking for financial assistance to feed.
