Romance › Re: The Myth About Female Virginity by middlebelter(m): 3:47pm On Jun 27, 2019 |
Pascopele: We were discussing about females virginity yesterday and someone was like the only way to know if a girl is a virgin or not is that it's a must every girl bleeds during her first sex and am sure majority have same mindset but this is wrong.. Bleeding doesn't determine if a girl is a virgin or not so I decided to release this article to help educate our young men and women on this issue of girls bleeding during first sex...
THE MYTH ABOUT FEMALE VIRGINITY -why most women won't bleed the first time they have sex. There's a very common myth in South and Central Asia (Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Afghanistan etc.) and Africa (Nigeria and many other nations ) that you can tell if a woman is a virgin, by whether or not she bleeds the first time she has sex. There is zero truth in this. Not all women bleed the first time they have sex, as I'll explain in this post.
To understand why some women bleed and some don't, it's very important to understand what the hymen is. The hymen is a membrane that tends to cover part of the vaginal opening (it does not always block or cover the entire vagina, as some people mistakenly think).
NOT ALL WOMEN HAVE A HYMEN. The hymen also differs from woman to woman - like all women have different heights and weights and features, all women also have different amounts and types of hymen. Some women have thick hymens, some have very thin hymens, and some women have NO hymens at all.
Some women have larger hymens, some women naturally have a very little amount of hymen that covers only a small portion of their vaginal opening (and hence does not really get in the way, during first-time sex). In addition to this, the hymen wears away on its own as you grow up. For most women, the hymen wears away on its own with exercise, bicycling, horseback riding -it can wear off with pretty much any other physical activity, even dancing! - or from using tampons when menstruating. Especially if the hymen is very small or thin, most of it tends to wear away on its own as a girl grows up. If a woman is born WITHOUT a hymen, she won't bleed the first time she has sex. If a woman has a small or thin hymen, she might not bleed the first time she has sex. If a woman's hymen has worn away on its own (which is very common as girls grow up), she won't bleed the first time she has sex. The result is that the overwhelming majority -at least 63% of women - will NOT bleed the first time they have sex, according to a study published by the British Medical Journal. Women who do bleed include: - Women with thick hymens (who constitute a small percentage of the population) - Younger girls. Because the hymen wears away on its own with time, a 16-year old has a higher chance of bleeding than a 25-year old.
By the time a girl is of or above the legal age of consent - 18, 20, 24 years of age, for example - most of her hymen is likely to have worn away on its own, meaning it's unlikely that she'll bleed a lot, if at all. However, even a young girl can be physically active, have a thin or small hymen, or have no hymen at all, meaning she might not bleed during first-time sex. - Most often, women who bleed tend to be women who are dealt with roughly during sex. If the guy forces himself inside the girl, when she isn't ready, relaxed or aroused enough, he is likely to cause injury or bleeding. Because most people think it's normal for women to bleed the first time they have sex, they don't realize that this bleeding is a result of the woman having been hurt, and not of the hymen breaking Painful first-time sex is generally because the woman is not relaxed or aroused enough, and gets hurt as a result; it is rarely ever because of the hymen breaking. The bottom line is that there is no way to assess female virginity.
Bleeding does not have anything to do with virginity - it has to do with the kind of hymen a girl has, and hymens differ from girl to girl from birth. The result is that only a small percentage of women bleed the first time! (Only 37% bleed during first-time sex, according to the study published in the British Medical Journal.) Why is this so important to be aware of? Women all over the world get abused, injured and even killed due to the myth of 'virgin bleeding.. Because most people (men AND women) think that bleeding is a sign of virginity, women who don't bleed the first time have been divorced, suffered from suspicion leading to domestic violence and abuse, and even killed for honour. Educating people that a girl does not necessarily have to bleed the first time she has sex - because not all girls have thick hymens, and some are born with no hymen at all - is important because it can literally save lives.
P.S: I understand that not everyone is able to share material like this, even if they want to. However, the only way we can educate people regarding this issue is if it goes into the news feeds of as many people as possible, if as many people as possible read it. So please consider sharing. If you can Thank you for sharing this piece of information. However, I would have been more comfortable with the thread if you can share links , authorities or Journals in support of the claims as presented. Now to my question, is it possible for a woman that is not a virgin to bleed after /during sex? I mean, a woman that has had sex several time before wedding to start bleeding on the first day on wedding night? Thank you |

I have criticized him very hard on the past but I must confess, he needs our support this time around to move from bad to good. As a Bible student, it is Biblical to give people the chance to repent. That is what our dear Senator is trying to do and instead of attacking h we should direct his attention to how he can improve.
To the fans of GYB out there, let it be clear to you that we do not hate Bello as a person, but we hate his works. Failure to pay salaries, build infrastructure etc are the reasons we won't support him. It is better to support someone that is making attempts to build infrastructure than the one destroying that which is being built. If you are offended, no apologies to you and your boss GYB. Tell him to build infrastructure and pay salaries and see if we will continue to hate him. We challenge you therefore this day, ye camps of Yahaya the Son of Bello, that ye ask you master to build roads, pay salaries, provide jobs, good security etc and see if Kogi people are capable of loving and forgiveness or not. |

Nice123: That is the problem with we the Nigerian people. He surrendered the weapons to the Nigerian police and we are shouting 'arrest Amosu'. Now tell me how other politicians with such weapons would surrender theirs if Amosu is arrested and prosecuted?
By the way we haven't ask if he purchased the guns legally for the state benefit or not.
I think he should be applauded and given an award for the 'kind gesture'. Do we really know how much an Ak47 costs? Plus the cost of the 4million bullets. That's what Amosu 'gave' the Nigerian police.
Since we have FAILED to tackle corruption or retrieve our stolen monies from these politicians, I think its better we start encouraging the corrupt politicians to start investing their 'ill gotten' money in Nigeria.
Plea bargain is the way forward for us. Otherwise, they will continue to stockpile these billions of dollars in foreign banks at the detriment of the Nigerian economy and its infrastructure.
Let us be wise!!! If Amosu had opted to bury the weapons, would we have known? I remember how the EFCC seized the investments (Cosmo FM and others) of one ex governor of Enugu state (chimaroke nnamani) I partly agree with you and disagree with another part Yes, we need to ask how the arms were purchased. However, since the constitution did not permit him to buy and keep arms in Govt House, he should be prosecuted and not praised for turning in the arms. Indeed, we have every reason to suspect him because of his tendency to support thuggery. A case in point is what happened during PMBvisit to Ogun state for campaign. Amosun should be made to convince us he did not pile up arms to disrupt last Governorship election in Ogun state following his inability to impose his candidate on APC. THE RULING PARTY SHOULD NOT LOOK AWAY BECAUSE HE IS STILL THEIR MEMBER. It is not PDP piling arms in unauthorized place, if he had genuine motives, the arms upon delivery are supposed to be in the custody of Police or any of the armed forces. Prosecute Amosun now! |

Now to the matter , if the people of Kogi state , particularly, the workers and politicians really have the love of the state at heart, then this is the time to drum it load and clear into the ear drums of the who's -is-who's in APC not to allow this man to fly the party's ticket.
The 25/25 he's talking about was not achieved through free and fair election, it was done through violence and political initialisation .Should we allow APC to allow him contest, weay not be able to stop him from second term except he's not flying APC ticket. This we know from experience that he will use maximum police force to achieve his aim.
I am therefore calling on the APC members in Kogi state, the workers that knows the members, whether such members have been pushed out by GYB is not important, they should all come together, meet APC Chairman, the APC national working Committee, and Mr President to strongly protest Thier opposition to his candidacy. It is also time for all stakeholders in Kogi state to vigorously engage the press in this struggle. What is your objective of opening this thread OP to attack Diya or his tribe once again? What you should know is that God is the rewarder of all works That Diya prostrated to beg is a survival strategy, did it work?I leave you to answer that within you. Some claim that Diya betrayed Abacha who made him number two citizen. Abacha couldn't have planned the coup alone and be successful, for him to gain acceptance he needed the acceptance of the South especially the SW whose son was incarcerated by Abacha, Diya happened to be a helpful hand for him to actualise his selfish plan. Now upon attainment of power , Diya realize he has made a mistake, instead of re-signing, he decided to consider the deliberate evil plan of Abacha's northern colleagues who were envious of Diya, so it became easy for him to be framed up.
Yes,Diya was never a saint but we must know this as young Nigerians, Abacha IS THE WORST LEADER OR RULER that has ruled this country. 21years after his death, we are still recovering his loots. He frustrated the completion of Ajaokuta Iron and Steel Industry. He single handedly awarded Kano state 44lga while state like Lagos with more population was not giveb more than 22lgas. His ethnic cleansing agenda was unparalleled.
Notwithstanding his horrible performance including rule of terror , some people ask him to contest as civilian president, but God deliver us. May God never stop delivering this country from the hands of leaders like Abacha no matter how well Their praise singers continue to intimidate us. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Thunder Or Lightening Is Natural And Not Caused By Witches Or Enemies by middlebelter(m): 10:56am On Jun 09, 2019*. Modified: 6:45pm On Jun 09, 2019 |
iykbethany: Yesterday being Saturday, June 8, 2019 lightening struck a guy in my village and as usual everyone is blaming voodoo and enemies. I am making this post bc 4 people contacted me from the village and wanted to know why it happened. These people know that I'm not in Nigeria but they usually contact me in situations like this bc they trust my judgement. I told them I was driving but they should watch out for my post today so here you go.
First of all, thunderstorms and lightening are natural occurrences, it has nothing to do with juju, witches, enemies or village people. Our problem is that we neither read nor research and we are too superstitious.
Brothers and sisters, each year lightning kills over 24,000 people around the world and 90% of people struck by lightning live to tell the tale.
SO WHAT IS LIGHTENING? A lightning strike or lightning bolt is an electric discharge between the atmosphere and an object. They mostly originate in a cumulonimbus cloud and terminate on the ground, called cloud to ground (CG) lightning. A less common type of strike, called ground to cloud (GC), is upward propagating lightning initiated from a tall grounded object and reaches into the clouds.
SO HOW DOES LIGHTENING OCCUR? Lightning occurs when the hot ground heats the air above. As the warm air rises, water vapours cool and clouds form. As the air continues to rise, the vapour in the top of the clouds turns into ice. These ice particles bump into each other, building up an electrical charge. Eventually, lighter, positively-charged particles gather at the top of the cloud and heavier, negatively-charged particles at the bottom. When the charges grow large enough, they create a spark, a flash of electricity we call lightning.
ARE YOU AT RISK? According to the British Medical Journal, we are all at risk but the chance of being hit by lightning in your lifetime is about 1 in 10 million.
MOST AFFECTED AREAS North America is much more prone to lightning strikes than Europe, and certainly the UK. The UK suffers significantly less lightning strikes than much of continental Europe. No more than three people on average are killed each year by lightning strike in the UK.
In South America, the hottest spots are in the north of Colombia, followed by Paraguay and northern Argentina, the interior of Brazil and the mountainous areas of Peru and Bolivia. Patagonia, at the bottom of the continent, is virtually lightning-free.
A peculiar dichotomy in Africa: the Democratic Republic of Congo is its a massive lightning hot spot, while the hot, dry Sahara in the north is a 'not spot'.
SO WHICH COUNTRY GETS THE MOST LIGHTENING NASA has been recording just about every lightning strike for much of the past 20 years, and it has produced a map to show where this phenomenon is most common. It turns out that the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo and Lake Maracaibo in northwestern Venezuela have the most lightning.
In the USA, Florida is the lightning capital of the U.S.
SHOULD YOU SHOWER OR BATHE DURING A THUNDERSTORM?
The National Weather Service urges the public to avoid hopping in the shower during a lightning storm in the event that a bolt strikes one of your home's water pipes and electrifies your bathroom. Just as the National Weather Service warns, it's safe to shower only once thunderstorms have passed you by.
HOW TO AVOID BEING STRUCK BY LIGHTENING 1. It's safer to be indoors than outside. 2. Stay in safe shelter at least 30 minutes after you hear the last sound of thunder. 3. Stay off corded phones or what we call landlines. 4. Stay away from computers and other electrical equipment that put you in direct contact with electricity. 5. Never use your phone to make a call if the phone is being charged. 6. Avoid plumbing, including sinks, baths and faucets. 7. Stay away from windows and doors, and stay off porches or what we call sit out.
MY CANDID ADVICE
Your enemies cannot spiritually send thunder to kill you, its impossible and you can only hear such senseless talk in Africa. If enemies can spiritually send thunder to kill us as we claim I can assure you that millions of Nigerians will die daily bc of so much hate, envy and jealousy.
All these juju and voodoo talk is for uninformed people, I'm a REALIST. If herbalists and voodoo priests are so powerful as una claim then their children will be the richest, most educated and most powerful people in Nigeria. We dont read, we r too superstitious and we have been conditioned to belive all the bullshit our ancestors believed. It took hundreds of years for our fore fathers to stop killing TWINS, coz they used to see twins as evil children.
Everyone of us have different gifts. One of my numerous gifts is to use my blog and social media to educate and enlighten people FREE OF CHARGE. When I make post like these some ignorant people will invade my inbox to curse and insult me but I will not stop doing the right thing. Thanks for reading The one that killed two young men in my village about a week or two ago, after the investigation of the Sango priest or whatever they call them, we were informed that the two young men were killed because they stole. Now I have serious issues with the outcome of their investigations: One , in the days of our fathers, when people die by thunderstrike as a result of stealing, such stolen items will be placed on the dead bodies by the thunder. This did not happen. Two, if the killing were indeed instigated for stealing through thunderstrike, is that not extral judicial killings and should such priest or people who knows such killers not be made to face the law. Now, if we have such powerful metaphysical people in.my village, why are the Fulani herdsmen allowed to invade farmlands, kidnap people for ransome and outrightly kill our people without self defense using thunderstrike against the invaders? I thank you for the enlargement, please keep it up. |

I. may not like Raymond Dokpsi as person, but all lovers of pur democracy should not allow the FGN under PMBto get away with this. Once you attempt to block the voice of opposition, you are indirectly inviting unconventional way of dissemination of information and that can mean falsehood which is extremely dangerous for our democracy..
Mr.president and APC should remember that they rode to power through the power of unhindered media by GEJ administration., imagine if GEJ Admin decided to find fault with the leadi g pro APC TV stations in the country before 2015 election and suspended thier operating licence? Would it have been easy gor APC to win? Opposition voice is critical for democracy to thrive. CoolAmbience: I understand what MDA means. What I am saying is, you need a list of MDAs and their Heads to buttress your allegation.
You seem to have left the matter of the Service Chiefs. Do you now agree that the Service Chiefs are not all from the North and Muslims, as you attempted to portray?
There is no tribe in Nigeria that is not guilty of tribalism. Please, let's not even go there. I have lived in every region of Nigeria.
You will agree with me that there has been no time in Nigeria's history that she has had to deal with as much insecurity in a single swoop as she is doing now.
Insurgency in the North East; Seccessionist crisis in the SE; Kidnapping all over the country; Cattle rustling and farmer-herdmen crisis, especially in the NC and NE; Cyber crime, especially in Southern Nigeria; Rising cases of cultism, ritual killings and arm robbery; Religious crisis in the North, particularly involving members of the Shiites islamic sect.
Anyone would commend the president on his management of security in the country given the circumstances and realities before us. Have you asked yourself how significantly the size of our military and paramilitary forces have increased over the last decade? As for your Obasanjo security management comparison, I want to believe that you made a mistake mentioning that, as we all remember what he did in Odi. Is it something you would really want to see again?
Before the emergence of Buhari, we saw attacks of the Police Headquarters, UN Building, Banex Plaza and Nyanya Motorpark by insurgents in the nation's capital. Do you even know what it means for a group of insurgents to attack a nation's capital? Do you have an idea of how many people have been freed from Boko Haram captivity and resettled with their families and communities? Do you know how many homes destroyed by the insurgents, in their thousands, have been rebuilt, including schools, hospitals?
I no doubt agree that he has a few achievements on security as highlighted on prevention of further attacks on FCT. That's is not good for an ex-general of PMB status. I put out my little efforts to campaign for him in 2015 hoping he will tackle issues. On Obj's approach to Odi, why people are quick to condemn him for ordering the military invasion, they forget that criminals hiding in the community beheaded a policeman and display his head ad dor rge publitto see when ib actual sense the police where sent there to maintain peace. To tame reckless decapitation of police, tge symbol of presidential authority, the man Obj had to confront the problem headone asking the military to fish out the criminals. Now do you agree that if his successors like Yar'adua has followed similar approach in dewling with Boko Haram, we won't be where we are tiday. He choose to look away and GEJ perhaps had no idea on how to confront the challenge but prefer to fight OBJ instead of partnering with him to defend the country.
As per the MDA, and service chief, why did he chose not to include SE given thier population? NSA, Minister of Defence and Chief of Army staff are cery strategic positions all manned by Northern Muslims. CD is mire of co-ordinator to my understanding. Now if you will be honest on spread of distribution of national favour on appointments into strategic agencies, you will agree that it has been unfair to Southern Nigeria and indeed the Middle bekt |

CoolAmbience: Everybody from the North is now Fulani. You make me laugh.
You really aren't relying on specifics. You jump from Service Chiefs to Heads of unnamed MDAs. Why don't you name all the MDA's and their DGs and let's see.
The most senior of the Service Chiefs, CoDS Gabriel Olanishakin, is from the South. Is CoNS Ibok Ekwe Ibas not from the South and a Christian? How many ministers were in Buhari's cabinet? How many were Christians and from the South, and how many were Muslims and from the North?
Nigeria's wealth comes from the SW and SS indeed...the SS maybe but they get much more than the other states in monthly allocation. Doesn't that acknowledge and make up for their contribution? Or are you saying that the other regions contribute nothing to the economy? There's NDDC and a Federal Ministry dedicated to the welfare and develop of the Niger Delta, what have they achieved with all that?
Where is the Head of Service of the Federation from? Federal appointments are usually governed by Federal Character. I know that there is corruption in the allotment of these appointments, but this is not a Fulani affair. Every ethnic group is culpable.
When I say a MDA it implies Ministries, Departments and Agencies. Now when you look at the number of Departments and Agencies, you will know that ministerial appointments are just an inconsequential % of where key appointments take place. Your remember the Prof in NHIS or the case of Gwarzo of SEC?. Even Yorùbá ministers in the Health and Finance Ministry could not check thier excess.
Fulanis are more tribalistic and exercise tge highest level of religious discrimination in this country than any. Yes, there are exceptionally good Fulanis that are above board, butvtgey are few. You talk about NDDC, that is a correct. I can't dispute your position on that. We expect that people that will lead us as a country should be good examples in neutralising tribalism, corruption and religious bigotry. Can you sincerely score PMB 60% on the abovein terms of hos appointments and response to security challenges that involves tge Fulanis? Tgen do a comparative analysis of OBJ's appointments and approaches to security matter. We are all stakeholders in the Nigeria project, our approach may differ but we must be guided by fairness in all we do. |

CoolAmbience: Oga, abeg go and sit down.
There is no such thing as Islamization.
That's arrant nonsense.
Who are those affected by Islamization?
Where are those that have been so far islamized?
Now let me educate you a little on this concept.
Look at the number of Government MDAs in this country including the service chief, police and NSCDC then tell me jow many are under the leadership of a Christian, then compare the ratio of Christian vs Muslim population in this country. Not until you are a victim, you may mot understand especially if you have benefited from the injustice. I once worked as a contract staff in a major government corporation for about 5years, when it was time to normalised our appointment, majority of us from Middlebelt, SS, SW and SE were not consider despite our good performance but we were denied only for some Fulani guys from North that are not qualified to apply by reasons of the objectives of the recruitment were employed to replace us.
Go to corporations like NNPC, look at the top and middle management and see how many are Christians or check Fulanis ratio to none Fulanis despite the fact that the resources on which NNPC thrives are from SS and SW. When some children come here to talk rubbish, its because they have never been victims of the horrible structure of this country. When you need a job but discover that you have better chances when you are a Muslim SW or natural Fulani north, tell me what you call that? |

This one is an opportunist looking for allocation of government favour. Since you claim is not real, shall we then pray you become one of their victims with your immediate household so that you can at least believe and then have feelings for the affected. |

johndoexxx: Afonja have no oil. Stop deceiving Nigerians that you have oil. Where is Lagos oil after 4 yrs? The only oil in SW is the oil stolen from Ijaw area carved into Ondo state by Obasanjo. Childish and tribalistic! |

stanleyravos: what did you know about jurisdiction, leave the judges alone and focus on how you people can remove oshiomhole instead disturbing the cyber space. I was agreeing with you until you mentioned removals of Oshiomole Baba. No sir, it will not happen until Yahaya Bello has been sent parking. One man's meal is another man's poison. Since by Oyegun a firmer Gov of Edo state and Chairman of APC, Bello was foisted on Kogi state, so also, shall by another former Edo Governor and APC chairman shall Kogi be delivered. |

kennybabs1980: I'm doing that today, I have gotten a nice explanation to give him. I don't like seeing that woman. Just see the way she started being nice just because she wanted to use me as guinea pig whose head will be used to break coconut after they've settled everything. The husband will beg her and they'll settle, the man will surely know I'm the one who told her. If I tell oga what his wife is asking from me now, what happens if he start wahala with his wife? You already have sufficient advice here. Move the equipment, when your bpss demands an explanation, tell him you are not comfortable with the way madam is probing uou foe certain kinds of information and that you want to just do you work as pee your job description without getting into trouble with him or madam. Let him use his brain to decipher whatever information you are referring to. No matter how much he press for details, dont divulge. Secrets things belong unto God. |

Baba419: Why didn't the article mention the name of the CEO?
I thought it was one of the Theifnubus?
The same SEC that just reinstated the BOSS?
This must be the case that gave him that case
But what do I know, it's NEXT LEVEL SEC didn't reinstate Gwarzo, it is a court judgment from Industrial Court. The judgment can be appraled by ICPC at Court if Appeals. |
