Why would she go for a date without my notice?
My sister had no answers to these questions and I asker her to call the girl at my presence. She did and told her that I still stand my ground that it is over between us. The phone was actually put on loudspeaker so I could hear her at the other end.

Immediately my sister told her my stand, she could say anything again. I was sure she broke down, or so I thought. My sister shouted "hello" for few times but there was no response. So I took my leave

My grouse was you not giving your girlfriend a chance to explain herself, her side of what happened that day or what her problem/reasons were, which you actually did and she didnt take it.

The bolded satisfies my conditions; she could have aired any issues she had in mind at that point, but she failed to which led to your actual break-up and not an open-ended fizzling out of your relationship, which is what I thought it was.

Such is what irritated me with you and the other posters; I thought they were just coddling you without urging you to go and clear up the issue while she continued with her antics (which some of them were, prior to your update).

That comment (precisely the bolded) and subsequent comments were written in error, assuming that you just left the relationship like that without following up on the girl or going over the situation with your family/sister, which you did.

This was the closure I was angling for; consequently the girl's recent behaviour cannot be attributed to the way you handled her indiscretion and your present stance on the matter is justified.

Once again, I apologise and will go back and modify my comments accordingly in due course.

So is south-south real in geography or not? I mean in actual geography when we want to describe where something is. You used the word "geographical" when theres nothing like that in geography (apart from Global North/Global South dichotomy)

FILM is an acronym for Forum for inculturation of liturgical music. It is not an audition ,rather some sort of (for lack of a better word) competition amongst catholic choir groups in Nigerian Universities. They are expected to write and present native maiden songs at the festival and are usually graded based on their performance.

The thought of been auditioned sounds funny to me. How good is that choir that will have to subject an interested prospect to auditioning,was it a secular group?Some people too do sef,i mean we all started from somewhere ,besides for me its an opportunity to serve God in church .In any case i dont think your voice will be that bad for you to fail an audition (if thats what you are scared of..lol) even if you were to be subjected to that and the other things you can pick and learn as you proceed.

Uni Ben have always had a good choir but you should listen to my former school choir sing to your hearing.

No ,and I didnt study music either,I've just been a chorister for as long as I can remember.
First step is joining a choral group preferably a standard choir in a parish not all those praise and worship groups who are more interested in the sounds of their musical instrument.....lol. The choir master will listen to you sing and advice which part of the choir you should join (ladies usually sing Treble/soprano or Alto).Subsequently you begin to learn your solfa notes and notations and who knows someday you could be a great composer and be writing songs that will feature in the next FILM competition.
That rendition was probably at FILM 2019 which was held in Abuja a few weeks ago.

You should give singing a try,it could make a great lover out of you.

Yes I am and have been for more than 20 years although work life has made it nearly impossible to keep up in the last few years, I still find time to join them whenever I can. You should try to join a choral group,i am sure you would enjoy it when you do.

I was in one before but not a classical one like this. It was more of gospel.
