The ''Ifa'' in the name of the resort, and the giant statute of a Cobra snake in the premises could discourage many potential visitors from patronizing the place e.g. religious organizations many of whom would be coming from outside Ile-Ife. They should have thought about that. |
Mr Eazi has just started his music career for God's sake. In any case, the original comment that Mr Eazi made was that current Afro-pop, Afrobeats sounds being played by Nigerian musicians is inspired by what had been created and originated by Ghanaian musicians. In other words, Nigerians are copying or borrowing from the Ghanaians. This was the original comment which many ignorant Nigerian music fans like the OP did not want to accept or believe. While Mr. Eazi was being trolled on social media by fans who did not know the facts, there was no single Nigerian musician who could come out to deny or contradict his claims! But after some time, other Nigerian musicians e.g. Runtown, Patoranking publicly acknowledged the truth in what Mr Eazi said. The other comment made by Mr. Eazi was that he was the first Nigerian to latch on the Ghanaian (Alqaeeda) sound rhythm before other Nigerians took a cue from him to do same (that is what Patoranking did not agree with). But they all agree that they are indeed making use of Ghana-inspired beats and rhythms. In fact Mr Eazi indicated that in Dec2016, about 70% of Nigerian musicians making waves were in Ghana for one collaboration, studio session, etc with Nigerian musicians and music producers. In fact, many Nigerian musicians have used Ghana-styled beats to produce hit songs ....Patoranking, Wande Coal, Timaya, Reekado Banks, Mayorkun, Mr Eazi, Kiss Daniel, DBanj, Tiwa Savage, Yemi Alade, Runtown, Tuface, Psquare, Marvins etc . A similar happened a few years earlier when the Azonto beats and dance step came out |
harbdulrasaq88:Confirmed! Davido and most of his Nigerian colleagues, are playing the genre /sound inspired and originated from Ghana! |
TribesNG:What relationship did Jesus have with Pharisees who were his ''people"? |
TribesNG:TB Joshua had made hundreds of accurate prophecies which came to pass. I can see that you are not concerned about the credibility (or lack of it) of your RCCG pastor, but how to denigrate TB Joshua. Even if TB Joshua gives 100 inaccurate prophecies, he is still far better and more credible than your RCCG and PFN (Pharisees Fellowship of Nigeria) pastors combined together! Nonsense! |
Can it go for 800? Please upload more pictures of the engine, front, sides and the interior |
Nonsense. A useless and clueless minister. An extortionist. Coming to extort more for his cronies and family. That is all he knows how to do....using every little opportunity to extort money from poor citizens. This is the man that turned waste collection into money extortion scam in Lagos. Same scam going on at the Lekki Tollgate. Now as minister for Power he has increased electricity tariffs more than twice and now he is going to extort more money from people using tolls on federal roads. Only in a silly country like Nigeria would someone like this be eulogized or praised! Mediocrity! |
Khd95:Where do you think your so called ''super stars'' Davido, Wizkid, Tiwa, Timaya, Flavour, PSquare, Tuface, Tekno, Olamide, Patoranking, MrEazi, Reekado, Kiss Daniel, Yemi Alade, Iyanya, etc. are stealing and copying their beats and rhythms from? It is Ghana and that is well acknowledged and beyond doubt or argument If you don't know, the Nigerian music industry today would be empty without the influence of the Ghana-originated style of sound that Nigerians are playing now. Today, Nigerian musicians are copying the way Ghanaians sing and rap! The only difference is that Ghanaians sing mostly in their local dialects while Nigerians sing mostly in English and pidgin, so our music travels farther than theirs, but they own the originality and creativity. We copy from them. And that has been happening for more than many years before independence. Even Fela went and stayed in Ghana in the 1960s to learn Afrobeat. So Nigeria is the one learning |
Dosmay:How old is what you are celebrating? Wait until it is 10-20 years old before you start ejaculating. Erecting a beautiful structure is not a big deal....maintaining the beauty in the long term is what matters. Go to Tinubu square and see if the water fountain there is still functional |
Movic1:That is the ignorance, arrogance and foolish talk by someone who has just been elected as Governor or leader. You can imagine why the ordinary men say equally foolish things. They have exported this kind if stupid talk and attitude to other countries. This and other similar disgusting attitude and criminal behavioural tendencies are some reasons why many more countries now hate the Nigerians living their country. |
This is the shamelessness that virtually characterizes the attitude and behavior of Nigerians! Imagine! I have never heard of fans of African artistes from the same country engaging in street fight in another country. Lawlessness! What are they even fighting for! Clueless musician who lack originality......virtually all their hit tracks are songs with rhythms/beats copied/stolen from Ghana. Two copy cats fighting! |
Benjom:''silent'' achiever? That man is not ''silent'' in any way! |
nairavsdollars:Don't mind Nigerian musicians. None of them has any original beat or style to offer apart from copying the latest beat from Ghana. It seems they cannot make any hit song without the Ghana beat.....all the so called Afropop, Afrobeats musicians ....Runtown, PSquare, Davido, Wizkid, Tiwa, Tekno, Lil Kesh, Kiss Daniel, Reekado, Timaya, Banky, Tuface, Flavour, Phyn, Yemi Alade, D Banj, W. Coal, Mavis, Mayorkun etc. etc. |
Codes151:It is not true that only Accra and Kumasi have light. Almost 90% of the whole Ghana have access to constant electricity. Their electricity penetration is second only to South Africa in the whole of Africa I doubt if you really know the situation with electricity in Ghana. Akosombo Dam used to be the main source of supply to the whole country. The initial installed capacity was about 2,000 MW. But Akosombo is no more their main source of power because the water level has dropped since Burkina Faso started damming it to generate electricity. Presently, Ghana relies more on power plants that are powered with gas and diesel to generate electricity e.g. the power plants at Tema, Aboadze etc. Ghana did not go to Swiss for help. They brought in Karpower power barges(ships) from Turkey to complement what they have locally. Their current installed capacity is about 4000MW. There is work going on for another 1,000MW power plant right now. Nigeria is still struggling between 3000MW and 5000MW for almost 20 years now. Divide the MW by the population of each country.....you would realize that Ghana is far ahead of Nigeria. Ghanaians have some minimal standards that they have set for themselves and their governments dare not toy with them. Electricity is one of them. No party can rule Ghana if you cannot guarantee constant electricity 24/7. The power crisis that they had between 2013-2015 contributed to the defeat of the former government. In Nigeria, we have no standards, so any idiot can rule us at anytime and nothing changes! |
PHILipu1:Okay. Tell me what Lagos ''consumes'' in a day! Tell me how Lagos ''consumes'' the electricity that it does not have! |
A few days ago, Nigeria Police was rated the worst in Africa. And now, two of the ''best'' airports in Nigeria are now rated amongst the 5 worst in the world. And still, some fools have given their brain and IQ away, following the senseless bandwagon that ''Nigeria is the giant of Africa; Nigerians are happiest people in the world. etc''. The people must really be mad to be 'happiest'' in this shit of a nation |
smartmey61:Ok. You should have explained that part clearly so that people would know that Ghanaians had been living harmoniously with Nigerians in their country and don't necessarily hate Nigerians, but they dislike the attitude and criminal tendencies of the new set of Nigerians that are now flocking into their country in recent times. The people that originated from Ile-Ife are called Ga (not Gaa). They live mostly around the southern parts of Ghana, stretching from Accra to La (formerly Labadi), Labone, Teshie-Nungua and to other parts of Eastern Region, including the Ga- Adangbe clan. |
Saintp:God bless you. This is the kind of comment that shows deep thoughts and a mind that sees the bigger picture. They way some Nigerians talk about population just convinces me that ignorance is holding people captive. You made my day with your though provoking comments. |
PHILipu1:Keep deceiving yourself. Who told you that Lagos consumes the total electricity that the whole of Ghana uses? Ghana today has installed capacity of close to 4000MW and Nigeria is struggling with 5000MW. Comparatively, Ghana is far ahead of Nigeria. It is not about size or quantity. It is the quality that matters! |
EMEKA1MILLION:Who told you that Lagos is 21million? It is all exaggerated estimates. The last census put Lagos and Kano at 8million plus |
smartmey61:My brother, your land lady should go learn the history better. The Yoruba people (especially from Osun, Oyo, Kwara and Ogun) had been in all regions, villages, towns and cities of Ghana for more than 150 years! |
saintkeppy:They dislike the disgusting attitude and behavior and criminal tendencies of Nigerians! Oppress who? Are you also ''oppressing'' Malaysians, Indians, Singaporeans etc in their country? Nonsense! |
kingeddyx:Don't mind the rumour monger. Their power crisis lasted about two and half years and it was resolved in December 2015, almost 2 years ago. |
Nature129:Thank you my brother... Strange enough, we have some so-called churches / pastors that would condemn miracles. Some even went as far as colluding with Obasanjo's govt. to ban the showing of miracles on television, all because they hate a particular pastor. They forget that everything about God is a miracle!. Salvation itself is a miracle! |
These are the same people that would hate and say things against TB Joshua and SCOAN. Even members of Synagogue Church do not worship the seat of Prophet TB Joshua. |
chineduemmao:That your beef! It is still you mischief makers and unbelieving people that would say that he bribes people to pretend for deliverance if things were done behind close doors. Now that things are done transparently, you still complain. Jesus did many miracles in the open! The Pharisees were angry and even told Him not to heal people on the Sabbath day. |
chineduemmao:It is not about publicity. It is all about TRANSPARENCY! People are prayed for in the open and all glory is given unto God Almighty. The world need to see the love, power and faithfulness of God before the world would believe or change from its wicked ways. It is mischief makers and unbelievers that term it ''publicity''. |
I sympathize with Jim Iyke on the challenges he has been through. May God be with him and family. But I thank God that the deliverance happened in the open church, and not in a private room! You can imagine how things could have been twisted against TB Joshua. The man of God has learnt from bitter experiences in the past. Kanu Nwanko visited him privately when he (Kanu) was having heart problems (before going for the operation) but he later denied ever visiting the church or meeting TB Joshua in his life!. So you could imagine what people can say or do if Jim Iyke's request that the family be attended to in private had been granted and things turned out somehow. I wonder why he wanted to be attended to in private. After all, he saw other people's testimonies on live TV. If you want to go to SCOAN, go. If not, stay at home and pray along with the man of God, if you believe. For those who claimed that Jim Iyke was bribed to pretend, you can now see clearly from his statements that the deliverance was never stage- managed. TB Joshua insisted he attended the church service so that satan could be exposed and disgraced, to the glory of Lord Jesus Christ! Jim Iyke should not feel embarrassed.....the battle is not against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers of darkness. I will also advise him to be wary of who he speaks to and what he says. The media and the paparazzi of show business cannot save him. He should be grateful he is lucky to have had that encounter and learn from it before it is too late. Some never had such opportunity and were destroyed and killed in their prime. He should be grateful to God for His mercy and revelation! May his mother's soul rest in peace |
junketer:You can now see what Mr Eazi said about the influence of Ghana-styled sound on Nigerian music! All the Nigerian artistes that you listed (Runtown, Tekno, Davido, Patoranking etc) are only making waves with the new highlife and ''Alqaeda'' beats and rhythm which they borrowed/stole from Ghana. Many of these guys rely heavily of these new styles from Ghana to make waves and fame, but Nigerians don't want the truth. The truth hurts! |
Some responses on this forum are not considering some underlying factors! What year did the guy receive $6,000 per month and what was the exchange rate? Probably it was when the exchange rate was around N200/$. and that would make it N1.2m per month, which to me, could be realistic. The problem is the huge depreciation in the value of the Naira....that is what makes N2m to sound too much and unrealistic but it is not impossible. |
ykalhaji:Who told you that Mr Eazi colonize anywhere in Ghana? He is only saying how he has benefitted from going to Ghana to study and also to do music. The guy himself has been humble and truthful to say the truth: that Ghana-originated sounds is what most contemporary Nigerian musicians are playing in the last 5-6 years, especially after the emergence of the Azonto and fast tempo highlife beats. The current sound (being referred to now) is called ''Alqaeeda'' and it has its dance steps as well. As usual, Nigerians would have hijacked the style and claim to be original owners if Mr Eazi had not been candid and bold to say that the style is originally from Ghana and Nigerian musicians are only copying and using it. The list of Nigerian musicians who have shot to fame because of this super beat is endless...Runtown, PSquare, Timaya, Dbanj, Tekno, Mr Eazi, Davido, Reekado Banks, Flavour, etc. What is happening now is similar to what happened in the 1950-early 1907s when Ghana music dominated the airwaves and Nigerians (including Fela) had to travel to Ghana to learn highlife and Afrobeat (but today, as usual, the story is being changed to say that Fela created Afrobeat) Nigeria is only taking advantage of our population, In terms of originality and creativity in music, Ghana is far ahead of Nigeria! |
shadrach77:Afro hip-hop ke? That beat/rhythm is copied/borrowed from Ghana. That is the beat virtually all Nigerian musicans....Tecno. Runtown, Timaya, Mr Eazi, Davdo, P.Saquare, DBanj, Kiss Daniel, etc etc are playing. |
