Allen97:My friend, analysis issues properly. The BRT bus-stops erected by Fashola were mostly waste of resources. How do you build bus-stops that do not have any space(or platform) that at least a few people e.g. pregnant women, old people, small kids can sit while waiting for the next bus? How could a govt you build bus- stops that cannot act as temporary shelter to shield/cover people from rain and heat of the sun? The bus-stops built by Fashola were total rubbish! The useless Fashola govt also erected walls in the middle of Ikorodu road, all in the name of demarcating the road for BRT buses, and this has destroyed the structural integrity of the road. |
RobinHez:The OP who originated the post has already responded to my comments. He responded in a mature and respectful manner because he is sensible enough to know the thrust of my comments. Good advice is only appreciated by the wise, even though the advice may be unsolicited! |
AK6464:This pastor himself is learning from TB Joshua. TB Joshua (through the mighty grace and vision of God in him, started and showed the way. Now other pastors are following TB Joshua's example. What I don't understand is his fixation and obsession with the so called ''Nollywood'' actors. There are hundreds of genuinely poor and less privileged people, but this pastor is more interested in Nollywood people. But it is still better than those who are competing among themselves with private jets. |
Frankicent:Thank you my brother! With God's grace and help, I am okay. I am grateful I can say that I am not living in poverty. Even today that I am earning a decent pay, the discipline I inculcated from my experience in those days, has made me to be grateful and careful not to misuse whatever comes my way (although every body wants to do some crazy enjoyment stuff, which can be allowed occasionally). |
Frankicent:You are living a life of ''luxury'' in school compared to what others experienced. You can even afford to spend as much as N3,500 buying monthly data and modem! Wow! I used to live on 1 congo of beans, 1 congo of garri, 1 bottle of palm oil and 2-3 wraps of ground pepper, 1 wrap of salt.......for 1 week! No tomato, no rice, no vegetable oil. Each congo of beans and garri contains the equivalent of 7 small plastic cups which would be equally apportioned to last for the 7 days of the week. No variance or deviation from the planned measurement was allowed. Otherwise, man would suffer! I thank God for the lessons and experience. There were days I would go a whole day without anything to eat, but I knew it would not be forever. With nor father or mother to help, I struggled to graduate from Ife and now I look back and give thanks to God for His mercies and faithfulness. Those of you who have parents and guardians giving you money monthly should be thankful and disciplined with what they give. A time may come when you would be on your own with no one to assist. The discipline that you inculcate is what would help you when tough times come! |
EazyMoh:Which consequence? Why cant your govt. import all the fuel the country needs? The country cannot do without the importers because it lacks the capacity to import and the importers know this. |
Nigerians like to tell lies and deceive themselves into believing what is not! There is no state in Nigeria that has Gold in commercial quantity! None. All the talk about gold in Osun, Kaduna etc are pure lies. Gold is not mineral resource that can lie fallow, idle or be hidden. If you have it, investors will rush down automatically. We know the countries that have gold in real commercial quantities...Ghana, South Africa etc |
DeleSuper1:It looks good on the outside. But sometimes, I wonder why this pastor is misplacing priorities when it comes to charity. Giving cars to Nollywood actors? To prove what? there are hundreds of genuine needy people that can be helped. But it seems he wants to be popular with Nollywood actors. He also seems to be desperately imitating TB Joshua. |
bjmotors15:What is your price? |
newsarena:Foolish country with foolish people who have no focus! So because you are forty years, you invite some useless girls to dance nude? To prove what? Are we sane in this country at all? |
PaulkillermanAg:Same was said about the miracles performed by Jesus Christ! Whether people believe or not, God is God and He still uses His servants to perform miracles and deliver people |
yusaze:Does this Annie of a girl have manners at all? Does she know how and when to dress in a particular manner? Look at her virtually exposing her breasts while on a visit to an elderly and well respected man's house! Big shame |
whiteeyes:You want the Bible to read what you and your Pharisees want to hear, right? God does not have to use a godfather to anoint His prophet! There are many prophets of God that were not anointed by any spiritual father. God is above the tradition that you set for yourselves. Prophets like Moses, Jeremiah, Elijah, John The Baptist etc did not have a spiritual father, yet they were anointed and used mightily by God! Who says Adeboye or any other pastor must approve or lay hands on someone else before God can anoint or use the person for His own glory? In any case, the anointing on TB Joshua is much higher than what any human being can lay his hands on him for. His anointing is Heaven ordained....that is reason behind the mighty and unprecedented miracles, signs and wonders that have become the envy of your godfathers |
pija:Pharisees! All Pharisees! By their fruits you shall know them! These are the people that lied and misled millions of people to condemn Prophet TB Joshua, just like the Pharisees did against Lord Jesus Christ, the Messiah, because they did not believe that someone below their class and who did not belong to their PFN(Pharisees Fellowship of Nigeria)'group could be anointed and used mightily by God Almighty! Some of them even attacked lied against Pastor Chris Oyakhilome just because he acknowledged TB Joshua as being a genuine man of God. Shame on them all! |
Team16:My guy, don't be scared. Go for the PhD. But discuss with your supervisor and he can allow you to have an extended PhD program that incorporates some taught elements (M.Sc.) He will be willing to cooperate since he is the one that suggested the PhD program to you. PhD is the ultimate. Don't miss a PhD in Canadian university for anything. They are not Nigerian schools that will frustrate you out of the program. Go for it. |
US girl was kicked out of her prom because of this "Revealing" dress Amy When a high school student arrived at her senior prom in Tennessee, she was met with a surprising request: to leave. Last Friday, Amy "spent time looking for the perfect dress, got her hair done and was meticulous in putting her makeup on," Tiffani Taylor, a friend of Amy's, wrote on her Facebook page. But despite looking "like a princess," she was turned away from the school dance because her dress - an off-the-shoulder embellished tulle gown - was deemed "too revealing." To Taylor, it was clear that it wasn't the dress that the Maryville High School administrators were uncomfortable with - it was Amy's body type. After spending some time in the restroom crying, she was told she could go in if she wore the vice principal's tux jacket, which mind you, did not cover her chest. She was told by a teacher repeatedly, "Us big girls gotta cover up." This young girl was SHAMED for having breasts. Her excitement during this memorable time of her life turned into embarrassment at the hands of adults who are supposed to be leading her. SHAME on YOU, Maryville. I think you look amazing, Amy. What's more aggravating: the Facebook post has yielded comments from Amy's fellow students, who confirmed that their own dresses to the same prom were arguably more revealing than the one Amy wore. "Your dress was definitely one of the classier ones compared to the thigh-high slits and sheer tops," one wrote. Another student showed a picture of the backless dress she wore to the school's prom, noting, "How is Amy's cleavage somehow more revealing than my lower back?!" Although this experience put a somber note on what should have been Amy's happy night, perhaps this image of her, standing proudly in her stunning prom dress, will shed much-needed light on the sexist root of arbitrary dress code violations that continue to happen - predominantly to girls - in schools across the nation. Those who believe in fake lifestyle because of what they see on TV and movies should learn from this news! People should know where to draw the line between the so-called ''stardom'', '' fame'' and being real and natural. All that glitters is not gold! When you see people on TV with made-up appearances and glamour, don't be carried away. They are mostly fake impressions! Be real. Don't forget your African values and virtues. Women, take care your husbands, give him the attention and cooperation that he needs. Men, don't just marry a girl for her beauty or fame or glamour. Go for the ones that can cook, take of you and the home with respect and humility. All the nonsense they call ''entertainment'' will fade away some day. |
jerseyboy:Think deep before you write! Who are the people that voted for GEJ in 2011? The same people have the right to vote for Buhari in 2015! Jonathan messed up the chance that he had. If Buhari does same, he will be voted out as well! |
When a married African woman wears skimpy revealing dresses, appears almost nude in music videos, at shows, parties etc all in the name of ''entertainment'', then I would not be surprised to hear this kind of news! As a married woman, you must know how to carry yourself about! Your home must be first. |
mimzy:Exactly my thoughts too? I wonder if the Nigerian military know the strategic importance of releasing or keeping silent on this kind of information! Their careless talks and disclosures of information that they should keep to themselves are some of the reasons why the Boko Haram insurgence still lingers. |
dealslip:I am beginning to feel same too. He should watch the way he mingles with just anybody that comes around. He needs maturity and guidance from the high chiefs and maybe other first class Obas who are close to him. Otherwise, he would rubbish the respect that comes with the royal stool |
fweshh:What are the equivalents of C8, E8 AND D7? Those grades did not exist during my time in secondary school |
jmichlins:Who told you the Igbo are the most travelling tribe? Don't confuse travel with desperation! The Igbos just started traveling to West African countries like Ghana, Ivory Coast, etc in the last two decades or so. But Yoruba people have been there for more than hundred years! Yoruba don't just travel to sell only goods in the markets and streets to announce their physical presence ...they work as teachers in schools, nurses, university lecturers, doctors, lawyers, commercial drivers, agricultural workers, businessmen, accountants etc Go to Ghana, CIV, Togo, Senegal, Gambia, SA, London, US, S/Arabia, Kuwait. etc Yoruba people have been traveling long before the civil war. Igbo people started traveling desperately only after the civil war when the east became impoverished. But the igbos are more desperate and they can do anything, legitimate or criminal to make money even in a foreign country! That is the difference |
winkmart:Very lazy hinking government! It is not only Ojota that deserves to have a foot bridge! There are many spots along Lagos-Abeokuta expressway that deserve to have pedestrian bridges e.g. Mongoro. Cement,Iyana Ipaja, Abule Egba etc. Same for Oshodi-Gbagada Expressway and many other places |
modath:A clueless, incompetent, over-rated IMF implant! A professional liar and story teller! |
j1mmy:Similar thing in Ghana as well. Ghanaians have been living in peace with Nigerians (mostly Yoruba people) since pre-colonial times. All of a sudden, a new set of Nigerians started trooping to Ghana in the 90s/2000s and Ghana/Ghanaians started experiencing hell! Today, it is the burden of ECOWAS treaties that is restraining Ghanaians from sending them away! |
ChangeIsCostant:That looks like South Africa |
vanessaRN:He has gone to Aso Rock to find a way to negotiate for soft-landing on all the corruption cases that are hanging on his head... Siemens, Halliburton, Abacha loot etc |
TechsNG:Do you factor in the costs of doing business in Nigeria? Do you have fuel in your car right now? Do companies in Kenya rely on generator for power the way we do in Nigeria? Do companies in Kenya have to build their own water facility the way we do in Nigeria? Compare apples with apples. Nigeria is an abnormal place. |
RevDesm0ndJuju:God bless you for the intelligence! I don't know why most people on this forum are lazy thinkers! The new regulations is basically for the non-ECOWAS, AU member countries. |
