Lack of maturity and experience is haunting Oliseh.
There is no need for this kind of scene. For God's sake, the guy was just coming from the burial of his late mum, and he missed the deadline by only a few hours.
The mature thing to do is just to let Enyeama be on the bench during the 2 matches and let Musa play as the captain. You can then explain that you are building a new team. You don't star It is childish to behave the way Oliseh did. The timing is also wrong and bad. It shows that Oliseh is jealous or has hate towards Enyeama. He does not even feel concerned about the emotional trauma of Enyeama at this time.
When Finidi George lost his brother, he was excused from duty by Ajax to come and mourn him. Same thing happens to players in other countries. When Asamoah Gyan lost his mum, he was excused from duty by his club.
These matches are even mere friendlies, so what the heck is the problem with Oliseh? Does he want to prove that he is ''strong and bold''? He is going about it the wrong way.
I wish Enyeama well. He has done his best for the nation. Let him retire from the national team in peace.
I remember how the NFF wanted to humiliate him just because he expressed his concerns about the security of a match venue.

Pastors should not force themselves to give prophecies just because they want to be known as being anointed.
Not every pastor can be like TB Joshua. They are all desperate to be like TB Joshua, hence you see them copying whatever TB Joshua does e.g. healing prayer-line session, laying hands on the congregation for deliverance, using anointed water to heal/deliver people, giving one-one prophecies, giving international prophecies, giving alms to widows and poor members of the congregation etc....things they never did until they saw TB Joshua doing them on Emmanuel tv

Politics › Re: Ministerial List: How Buhari’s Last Minute Change Favoured Ngige by mikeapollo: 3:39pm On Oct 01, 2015
midolian:
After a long wait, President Muhammadu Buhari finally submitted the list of his cabinet to the Upper Chamber of the National Assembly.

The president has been at the receiving end of harsh criticisms by angry Nigerians over his ‘deliberate’ refusal to unveil his ministers three months after assuming office.

The president had anchored the reason for the delay on the ground that he needed time to select those who were credible and trustworthy to run the affairs of the nation with him.

DAILY POST reports that the list, which was submitted to the senate president, Bukola Saraki yesterday by Buhari’s Special Adviser on National Assembly Matters, Itan Enang would be officially made public at the next plenary on Tuesday.

However, report has it that among those penned down for ministerial appointments were, immediate past governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Fashola, former Ekiti State governor, Kayode Fayemi, former lawmaker, Chris Ngige and erstwhile governor of old Anambra State, Ogbonaya Onu, among others.

However, sources told DAILY POST that Chris Ngige’s name came in at the eleventh hour.

According to a top presidency source, President Buhari, who has been constantly accused of marginalizing Ndigbo over their refusal to support him during the election, didn’t have it in mind to appoint Ngige.

The source told DAILY POST that Ngige’s appointment was done to mainly compensate Ndigbo.

“Ngige was not part of the first list of people compiled, I can tell you that. His name came at the eleventh hour. The president had a change of mind because of the complaints in many quarters that he was punishing the south east region because of their refusal to vote for him during the election.

“It took the intervention of some close associates and aides for the appointment of Ngige.”

Asked if president Buhari was truly angry with the south easterners because of the outcome of the election, the source said the president had nothing against them.

“See, that notion is wrong. The good thing is that Buhari has won the election and that is it. Where the vote came from is not the main issue now. Remember, he said he belongs to nobody and belongs to everybody,” the source added.

For those who may not know, Zik lived and worked as a journalist in Accra, Ghana before he became a politician.
That was the time when Ghana was more like the unofficial capital of West Africa, and the political headquarters of Africa, championing virtually everything ''African'' e.g. African political emancipation/independence, and even in social life through music genre like ''highlife''
There was a conscious effort to create a separate African identity in all spheres of life, and ''afro'' was used to indicate the African connection. There were things like afro-skirts, afro-shoes, afro designs, afro fashion. afro music, afro beat etc.
In fact Ghana was where ''Afro-beat'' was pioneered before people like Fela, Hugh Masekela of SouthAfrica etc went to live there for some years to learn that style of music. In fact they both joined an Accra-based band called Hedzolleh..

A rag tag terrorist group has been killing thousands of people for over 3 years with the armed forces not being able to subdue them. Yet we have an army chief that is shameless enough to open his mouth to call the terrorists ''noise makers''.

Who should be ashamed and who should be called ''noise makers''? Definitely the army, and not the terrorists because the terrorists have nothing to lose; they will only be motivated to carry out more attacks and kill more innocent people just to prove that they are not ''noise makers''

Am sure Fashola knows his way to the residence of the Awolowo's. It's not compulsory that every serving or former governor from APC south west should visit the bereaved family together. Amosun, Ajimobi, Fashola etc will pay their condolence visit when they are ready. Stop reading unnecessary meaning into everything.
Arrogance, greed and pride killed Fashola.
The corruption in Fashola's government far outweighed whatever Tinubu was accused of. Add that to his arrogance, high-handedness and the way he made poor people to suffer.
Today, he has lost the sympathy of both the poor people that he made to suffer, and the rich people that we wanted to impress.

Fashola was the only governor arrogant and foolish enough to announce the sack of over 700 medical doctors in Lagos State, all at once. Only an arrogant drunken fool would do that.

Who will attend any programme organized by or in honour of Fashola today?

Sometimes, I wonder if UNILAG is actually a first generation university. It is terrible to litter a university environment with exposed/un-insulated high tension wires.
That is the difference between some well planned schools e.g. OAU and others.
In my days at OAU, hardly would you see any high tension wire in the vicinity. Virtually all the high tension cablings in the hostels/academic area are underground.

Politics › Re: Alaafin Of Oyo Visits Aregbesola On Ooni’s Transition (photos) by mikeapollo: 8:17am On Sep 08, 2015
Shikena:
Absolutely not.
Ponder on the following:
1.) The reference to Ile-Ife as the cradle of Yoruba civilization is not in reference to royal superiority. None of the Yoruba royalty stayed back in Ile-Ife.
2.) Ile-Ife existed before the Yorubas (Oduduwa and his descendants) migrated to the place and oral history claimed that they met people there. The Yorubas were said to be escaping the Jihadists that's why some version claimed that they were coming down from Mecca. It could have been anywhere around Sudan.
3.) We should stop mixing or confusing Ifa mythology with actual Yoruba history. The world did not start at Ife, even the Yorubas were not originally from Ife. All the Orunmila, Ela, Agboniregun stories establishing Ile-Ife as the source were from Ifa mythology.
4.) Neither Oduduwa nor his direct descendants were indigenes of Ile-Ife and were not born in Ile-Ife. They got to Ile-Ife as adults and Oduduwa decided to make Ife his home being too old to continue with any adventure.
5.) The direct descendants continued with their migration and founded their respective domains and kingdoms.
6.) Oranmiyan was the first to leave Ile-Ife with his team of warriors who were retracing their migration steps up north to fight some communities across River Niger who were hostile to them during the Southbound trip.
7.) They got to the bank of River Niger when the tide was too high to cross and had to retreat back. They were not only warriors they were also hunters and they moved down south where the settled at the beautiful plains of Oyo Ile. It naturally grew and expanded into the only empire in Yoruba history.
8.) On Sango, Oranmiyan married a Nupe woman, who gave birth to his son Sango, during the migration through what is known as Niger State today.
9.) Sango returned to live in Nupe land with his mother's people where he met and married Oya who became his queen during his reign at Old Oyo where he succeeded his brother, Ajaka.
10.) Back to Ile-Ife and Ooni. Ooni was the title of the elder that was appointed as the caretaker of the household as none of the direct descendants of Oduduwa opted to stay back in Ile-Ife, hence the alias of Arole Oduduwa that stuck till the last Ooni ascended the position in 1980.
Absolute nonsense!
It is simple.....go to any other Oba in Yoruba land(e.g. Owa of Ijesha, Alake of Egba, Orangun of Ila, Deji of Akure etc) ask them which Oba is higher between the Ooni and Alaafin!
These Obas would tell you the truth. None of them would concede superiority to an Alaafin.

jumanche:
I met my boyfriend online. We were in a long distance relationship for a 2 months before I moved back to his town.
Before we met, he told me he smoked cigarettes but socially. I was ok with that. I thought that If he needed a cigar to calm his nerves , its alright. I do not smoke.

After we met, It turns out that he's a chain smoker. He takes at least 3 packs of cigarettes a day. After a month of dating him, I just couldn't take it anymore. After we visit each other, I reek of cigarettes. My clothes, my purses, my hair, the bed-sheet. Everything stinks. Sometimes I have to re-do my laundry. He smokes inside the house and car so the smoke is directly on me .

I talked to him about this. I told him that the smoke stinks everywhere up so bad and that I have to wash my clothes after I visit him. He got really mad and we didnt talk for days.

I love my boyfriend but I cannot take the smoking. Its also starting to affect him medically , his teeth is rotten and he coughs chronically. I tell him to stop at least for his health and he starts to give examples of non-smokers who died early or smokers who live long.

I am at my wits end because everything and everywhere stink and cigarette butts are everywhere.

How do I tell him to stop?? Or do you think its time to end the relationship.
So you kiss and lick his rotten teeth?

I am actually not a Nigerian. If at all other pastors use bracelets & sell bottles of oil, I 'd say the same thing of them. That they are fake. The Bible is clear that light & darkness have no fellowship. When you are constantly in the presence of God, I don't see how you can be demon possessed because the Holy Spirit becomes your hedge of protection.Like I said earlier, it's Biblical to use anointing oil for reasons stated in the Bible such as praying for the sick or setting apart as in dedication of kings, priests, babies etc.But when a pastor sells you oil to be rubbing every day for a month or so, that now becomes ABUSE of anointing oil.I agree with you that TB Joshua is very philanthropic. But the Bible is very clear that we are saved by Grace and not works lest any man should boast.A man was brought to Jesus for healing. The apostles asked if it was from his own sins or those of his parents that he was sick? Jesus said that it wasn't for either, but for God's glory. My question then is, why is it that when people go to TB Joshua, it's never for God's glory, but there is always a demon to be cast out? Also you did not respond, I said there is youtube video of him telling a woman to squeeze out her bare breast in church in order to be healed from cancer and also a man with bare buttocks for the same reason. If you like I can post those videos here.Is this the new trend of getting naked in church in order to be healed? It's about time Christians stopped to chase after men and begin to chase after God!
You only watch youtube to make comments on a sensitive nature like this? How many minutes is your youtube video? You are telling lies. How could TB Joshua tell as a woman to squeeze her breast? Is that what would heal her? How can a woman squeeze a breast that is already infected with cancer? Do you think people here cannot reason or what?
If any at all, what you saw must have been the cancerous pus coming out of the breast during the process of healing.
If you want to know the truth, go out and make efforts to find it. Don't just sit in your house and expect the truth to fall on your laps.

If TB Joshua is fake or not good, I think you must have your own pastor or imam or witchdoctor. Talk about them and leave TB Joshua alone

The problem with Fashola was his arrogance, talking as if he is above everything and everybody.
Look at the way he handled the Doctors strike, LASU fee hike, imposition of tolls on Lekki expressway, demolition of of Makoko etc.

Despite whatever anybody may say against Tinubu, it is a fact that he was more humble and humane than Fashola whilst in office.

If a governor could open his mouth to say that settlers/members of the public who are not comfortable with his policies are free to relocate from the state, then it tells you how arrogant and insensitive he was
