agaugust: Fool, that photo is older Bofors FH-77A, not the newer FH-77B version Nigeria bought around year 2005. Even SIPRI says Nigeria has B version. Other websites say Nigeria has both A and B versions....fool, the Nigerian Bofors 43km range artillery is paining you to your bone marrow. Please go hug 10,000 volts electricity transformerIs this the Nigerian FH-77B or not. If not was Beegeagle lying as usual? |
Bigger.
|
agaugust: Nigeria's new sniper rifle in action...Bigger.
|
Beegeagles claims this is the Nigerian FH-77B howitzer. Augubugubu claims this gun has a range of 41km,lads look at this howitzer on the picture below and tell nairalanders why this howitzer won't fire shells up to 39km. . Unless augubugubu wanna tell us again that "beegeagle made a mistake".
|
patches689: That 1st picture: "danger close"Live fire. It shows the confidence we have in the accuracy of our weapons. |
FighterPilot: We are waiting patiently.Denel will soon be able to offer(price) the full Badger IFV system,as some supply contracts are still being awarded or signed. The honey Badger is a beast. |
When was the last time Nigeria bought spare parts for her bofors 155mm howitzers? I challenge augubugubu to post images of the FH-77B he claims has a range of 41km. #Trap. |
agaugust: .With colonels getting killed? |
agaugust: DENEL laboratory gun is NOT in South African army arsenal. So I can't army guide as my source? |
agaugust: No fool, South African Y3 Grenade launcher maximum range is 2.2 km. Nigerian Dshk heavy machine gun range is 5.4 kmYou wanna bring up heavy machine guns?. The DShK is an anti-craft gun though use it in a ground. The Soviet made SANDF KPV has an effective firing range of 3km,while the DshK has an effective firing range of 2km. . Also the M6 60mm mortar has a range of 6Km. If you're gonna bring up vehicle mounted systems. You'll make me posts the 4km range Brandt 60mm mortar. The Scorpion vehicle mounted automatic mortar. The Zumlac. |
Henry120: Your SANDF is a HIV carrying incompetent force. You wish you had the battle experience of the Nigerian military.HIV is a virus. It doesn't affect combat performance. A HIV positive soldier, well trained and in good can perform better than a HIV negative soldier. All(grenade launchers) which aren't any close to the Y2 grenade launcher. |
HandOfChukwu: They aren't African and they NEVER will be, they are nothing but some dirty oyinbos.Only Henry120 will judge what belongs here or not. |
agaugust: Army Guide website said Nigeria has Bofors FH-77 B0 L52, so how does their website data become my own making? If you know better than them, send them letter of correction from your South Africa prison yard. The SANDF G6-52L can throw shells up to distances of 73km. Thank God for Army guide,we didn't know SA upgraded the guns again. |
Henry120: In your case, you need a psychiatrist. The USA,SA,Canada,Colombia and other armies which are experienced than your Nigerian army use grenade launchers. Their choice of equipment is influenced by combat experienced. The west used mortars for defence after learning in Afghanistan that role in now changing. Some the SADF used in 80s in Angola. A SANDF battalion>Nigerian battalion. |
Henry120: You know this how?Dreams again. |
agaugust: Their uniform is not desert camouflage which is Nigerian standard for anti Boko war, and helmet, name tags, flag logo, boots are all missing what proof are you looking for?The SANDF can't hide casualties with SANDU around. The Chief of SANDF and SAAF face jail time now for failing to hire firefighters. Imagine it was dead soldiers. Your army uses different camo patterns, which I doubt have low IR signature as the SANDF soldier 2000. |
AugustineAgain: .what's that machine gun when I can shot back with 40X53 Y3 automatic grenade launcher. Nigerian military command can break easily by lack of radios,in brigade size battles. |
AugustineAgain: Faces of your own very few soldiers that ever see any small field action in their lives, look even worse...well trained. "We train as we fight". "We fight as we train". Your army isn't that experienced. |
AugustineAgain: M5 120mm mortar range is NOT 10km, it is 9km.You wanna compare? Are gonna also say the M6 60mm mortar doesn't have a range of 6km? SA infantry has superior weapons. |
Thiza: SANDFThe man on the first pic there was the OC in CAR. The picture is from video when they were preparing 5 SAI for deployment in the DRC. |
AugustineAgain: Aradu Otomat anti-ship missile range 80km without datalink, and 180 km with datalink. Valour frigate Exocet range 70km maximum.Chances of hitting Aradu if a missile is launched against her are higher than the valour class frigates. |
AugustineAgain: Your reply is dry and empty, no source, just your personal envy loaded opinion. The G5 MKIII with standard ammunition can throw shells to 39km. Your FH-77B is still outranged. Not mentioning the advanced SA artillery engagement system. Fact number one is: SA artillery outranges Nigerian artillery. Fact number two is: SA infantry has superior weapons and better trained than Nigerian infantry. Did you know the Y3 automatic grenade launcher can act like a mortar bombarding hidden targets, that means it is also an indirect weapon. Like a 60mm,81mm and 120mm mortars. With advanced target sighting and correction equipment, enemy troops will be "soaked" by a rain of shrapnel. With shrapnel flying around soldiers retreat or go into their APCs and IFVs,leaving the vehicles exposed to anti-tank teams. To fire a wire guided missile you've to stand at same place for some time. This is what made sagger ATGM in Angola ineffective as cannon fire will shredding things around you. |
How much is spent on training a Nigerian soldier again? How long does it take to train a Nigerian soldier? Someone will come here to talk about endurance. The selection process of the SANDF=Nigerian training. |
AugustineAgain: [size=14pt]The F-77B is export version of the F-77A. It has a lower rate of fire and its range isn't that different. Your artillery is yet to break the 40km barrier If you're gonna use army guide to prove that,I'll use it to prove SA has the G6-52L with a range of 67km. |
AugustineAgain: .FH-77B05 isn't FH-77B. Don't make me pick out the lies in beegeagle's stories. The version India is talking about is the BAE systems bofors upgraded FH-B05 L52,which India ordered after Denel was blacklisted by the Indian government. Last year after investigations Denel was cleared since nothing was found. Denel was supposed to supply India with artillery(Bhim,T5,T6 etc) and sniper rifles(NTW-20) and other equipment. Cause of that India decided to upgrade the guns it already had, even developing an anti-material rifle similar to the Denel NTW-20. Nigeria never awarded any contract to Sweden's BAE systems bofors to upgrade her guns. SANDF artillery is superior to Nigerian artillery. SANDF infantry weapons are superior to Nigerian infantry weapons....etc |
AugustineAgain: Aradu is being refitted for mid-life upgrade normal for any navy. Please get us a distant photo in navy dockyard even if small.Valour class frigates are superior to Aradu. |
AugustineAgain: South African soldiers are all physically very weak, one of the weakest men in Africa. Photos proved that here many time. They have equipment, but have low courage and low physical endurance. Reason why they avoided return match with Seleka rebels.Endurance? SA forces fought for more than 13 hours in CAR without giving up. What endurance are you talking about? Tanzania,Malawi and South Africa sent battalions to participate in the MONUSCO FIB,at the the commander of the brigade was Tanzanian and his deputy was Canadian. The was no point of going back to CAR to topple Seleka,it was up to AU to make that call. South Africa had forces(battalion size) around CAR ready to strike if a command to attack came. Chinese training? Is the reason they're taking casualties? |
conm: Seleka rebels wiped your ass big time!!No SF operator was killed in CAR they had vehicles. I doubt any unit in Africa can fight for 9 hours without giving up and receiving supplies like the combined SA force did in CAR. Look at the casualty numbers in the DRC,both Tanzania and Malawi have lost soldiers while SA only got WIAs. Though that isn't something to proud of. |
conm: You are such a fool! all liberation movements were trained by Tanzanians. Your president Jocob Zuma was as well trained in Tanzania so was namibia president (Pohamba) and Mozambique president (Guebuza) the current Zimbabwean top commander (Gen Constantine Chiwengwa) was trained in Tanzania the list is so long. Zimbabwe or SA are nothing short of pathetic!! The list is rubbish simply because your chicken forces are not in the list??The List rubbish. If anyone is gonna talk about African SF units SA SF ans Zim SF should always be there. |
conm: You are such a fool! all liberation movements were trained by Tanzanians. The list is rubbish simply because your chicken forces are not in the list??Zuma was never trained in Tanzania, get your facts straight. The same Tanzania SA Recces penetrated during missions, even destroying bridges and power lines near their capital city? MK had bases and trained in Angola,Uganda,Algeria,Libya,East German and other USSR states. SA special forces attacked targets anywhere in SADC(Malawi,Zambia,Botswana,Lesotho,Tanzania,Mozambique etc). Regarding Zimbabwe SF they fought in the DRC bloody well and led the final assault on UNITA. |
conm: When it comes to hardcore, elite human beings, nothing can top military special forces units. Shows us what these incredible teams from around the world look like, and exactly zero of them appear to be anyone you'd ever want to mess with if you value your life. The facepaint on the Peruvian men might be the most intense I've ever seen. This list is rubbish. Firstly why people love putting SEALS above the Delta force the former is used for missions which will be publicly acknowledged, expose etc. Also look at number 21 if someone is gonna rank a unit above others cause of sniping skills, then the british should be above the rest. Coming to Africa, you're lying if you gonna talk about African special forces without mentioning SA SF and Zimbabwe SF both are battle tested. When was the last time Tanzanians SF units ever went to battle? In Congo they operated under the UN with Malawi and South Africa in the FIB. Russian SF were scared of the SA SF in Angola. |
Henry120: I beg to differ. I see nothing out of the ordinary with their kitting. It's average to be honest. I like their camo as well.Average?. We are in Africa remember? Average soldiers don't wear plate carriers but just battle jackets. |
