Just curious so I can stop worrying about it. ***NO FRONTPAGE PLEASE*** JUST HOPE TO GET SOME INPUT FROM EXPERIENCED MARRIED PEOPLE. Married for close to two years now with a baby. My wife hasn't worked since partly due to a lack of suitable opportunities and the fact that we are alone where we stay with neither family present. She is a graduate of a private university and I've had to sponsor a skillet training which has been completed so she can open a business. We intend to wait until the baby is one before she opens the business which is a few weeks from now. So I'm 100% responsible for everything. She is not on any specific allowance but I purposely allow inflated bills so she can get some change from it. She is also involved in weekly contributions which I pay 90% of the time. One thing I have noticed is that she will not help with any expenses around the house. Let say I'm cash-strapped for something we need to buy today, she'll pretend she doesn't have any cash and rather wait until I bring the money tomorrow than buy it for the family. She is currently doing so now and it is reinvigorating resentments I have for her. One event actually caused the resentment. I will share it in the next post. |
It's already 8 years now. I'm curious. Is the said Dominion gardens estate now allocatedor built up or developed or an entire scam cos I can't find any traces of it online anymore. |
Yes. I'll never forget it in my life. I went to the village a long time ago. While greeting someone in their living room, I saw and heard an idol speaking. The idol was hidden at the back of their entrance door. It provided a physical description of the lady that was coming, what she was coming for and what should be done for her. It didn't take up to 10 minutes, the lady arrived. She was exactly just as described. That experience changed me from an atheist to an agnostic. It was a firsthand experience that there is a spiritual world somewhere. |
FreeStuffsNG:Brotherly. E pass fond memories o. Initially I was afraid cos of the gypsies but mehn, I hiked to many gypsy villages and was treated like a king. Over 4 years since I left and I still daydream about the food, people and beautiful women I met. It may not be as rich as the UK and Germany but there I met the nicest people in Europe. Poland is not on Romania's level. More job opportunities and better living conditions. But quite a lot of skinheads and not immigrant-friendly. |
educators:Actually N50. 1 RON is about N100. Spent time in Romania. Still have their coins and cash as souvenirs. |
Jobola1:This is even more reason you should pay proper wages. That way you have a loyal, motivated and dedicated team to call up for future tasks instead of having to train every Tom, Dick and Harry who will be demotivated and surely leave at the middle of the project. With these wages, you will surely repeat the cycle of searching for workers, training them and they leave at the middle of the project. I repeat again, you will never find a proper writer who will finish your 90 tasks on this pay. And btw, I'm not painting you bad. Fair wages for fair work. Trust me, with the proper wages, you won't even have to say this in your ad. "However, u CANNOT back out midway as it cost quite a lot to get u subscribed to the writing aid". |
Jobola1:Lol. You can't afford me. Imagine putting writing an article and zero brain work in the same sentence. Even if you're plagiarizing an article, you still need to use your brain. You said someone can write a 1000 word article in 60 minutes. Will it just be copy and paste? I'm curious as to how that is possible, especially when they have to type. 50 KOBO per word for an article. Mehn. (Even more depressing when you factor in electricity and internet charges). Yes, some will accept it but almost everyone will quit after a few articles or payments. I wonder what's the issue with paying employees/contractors livable wage. With that, you get proper dedication to your job instead of those who will accept cos they have no choice and eventually quit after two or three articles. I can bet my balls you'll never get a proper writer who will finish all 90 required articles. |
What rubbish Approximately N600 for a 1000 or 1300 word article.... Bleep you |
donmixc:At least they live decently in Slum. They don't carry plates around shouting Bambiala up and down with their BORN TO BEG ( Sorry, Born to Rule mentality). Constituting nuisances across Major cities in East, South and Western Nigeria. No wonder they are unity beggers. When we leave, there will be no one to open gates for or beg for Bambiala from. Beggars cannot beg from beggars.
|
donmixc:Doesn't change the fact that over 80% of your population are in major yoruba cities shouting ALABAMUSA BAMBIALA like they always do. |
donmixc:PARASITES. Your brothers are out here in Lagos opening our gates, shining our shoes and fetching our water. No wonder you're unity beggars. You were our slaves back in Illorin before Afonja and you're still our slaves in major Yoruba cities today. Talk about begging for a living.... shioor |
donmixc:Only parasites with no prospects and nothing to offer are scared of standing alone.... Rather than demand for a better country, media bots out here working for their masters for a miserly pay. The same money than cannot buy you a bag of rice. SuomyNona:Thank you for the replies. Cc; LFJ11 I will ask for the document from them. I have a 15/20 French GPA. The problem with French grades is the lack of uniformity in conversion across universities worldwide. I have also tried scholaro and it is more suited with the US market. It's conversion is different in Canada. For example, like most US universities, Scholaro grades 14 upwards as an A, an A in McGill is 16 upwards. In Australia, an A is 15 upwards. In Scholaro, a 13/20 is 3.0. The same 13 is a B+ (3.3) at McGill while for university of Alberta, it is their minimum grade which I take to be a 3.0. The problem is Alberta only provided the minimum grading for France. I guess I won't know until I apply. SuomyNona:Thank you for bringing this up. I need to have this confirmed cos if they decide to use my undergrad, I'm royally bleeped. Local man was not serious during undergraduate days. Last 4 undergrad GPA are 4.6, 2.9, 4.56, 3.08. The discrepancy is enough for them to bin my application. |
Please, I will appreciate answers. Cc LFJ11 I have a masters from France and intend to apply for a PhD. But due to lack of some certain course prerequisites, my supervisor and the program cordinator adviced I apply for their masters which will be also be fully funded and then transfer to a PhD. Will I have issues with getting a visa for a second masters given that I intend to go with my wife and daughter? Also is it okay if I ask the graduate coordinator to provide me with a written letter stating that I lacked certain course requirements? Another problem is I require a 3.7 to be successful. How is the last two years average calculated for a masters degree holder. Will it be a course by course evaluation or will be masters degree be evaluated as a whole. The graduate school at University of Alberta is refusing to give information on GPA conversion until I apply. |
Sophisticated scam. RED FLAG 1. The said conference will be in Dallas while the said hotel accomodation will be in Houston. The cities are at least 3 hours apart. 2. Why will a conference even pay for your visa and flight fees? It's normally the other way round. 3. The said hotel has no visible online presence, apart from it's website which I believe was created for the sole purpose of scamming. No reviews or nothing. Big red flag for an hotel said to host conference delegates. 4. The said hotel is missing on google map. The said address of the hotel is actually a residential street. 5. Your visa documents will be processed here in the United States and the approval letter of your visa will be sent to the U.S Embassy in your country for the collection of your visa. . This is the biggest red flag of all. |
Scammer. Australia's borders have been closed since March 2020. |
Nigerians should learn to use google map. There is an hotel at this address. 49 Joel Ogunnaike St 49 Joel Ogunnaike St, Ikeja GRA, Lagos https://maps.app./5dnNm1JoSzr83sMq6 |
What's your rate? |
providencia:Police will just cite you for stalking, harrassment or sexual harassment. |
KingZaddy:My brother, I witnessed something like this back then. Went to visit a female Nigerian friend/colleague. It was not the first time but it was the first her boyfriend abi na fiancee will be there. We had about four other Nigerians there. After babe served us confirm local food, boyfriend was the first to finish eating. Man dropped plate in the sink and wanted to take water from the fridge when the last shouted at him in our presence to "Wash those plates". We were in our 20s and this man is late 30s and above. I was in a dilemma that day. Many things were running through my mind like 'Do I finish my food and go and wash my plates jeje before person come embarrass me. Last last, it was the boyfriend that washed all the plates. FYI, this happened in Germany. And btw, the lady was on a long stay visa like us, not a PR or Citizen. So the idea of the man totally leeching off her for papers is not it. |
Moneyboyz:I hate to be the bearer of bad news but if it's Ogshc, it is best to take heart cos they don't negotiate. It will be demolished, maybe not now but eventually. I'm very sorry for your experiences. Please next time do a search at the land registry to be sure the land is not under government acquisition. |
thatsleepboy1:Very stupid fellow. Sorry OP. I can only give driving directions. But you can take BRT to Ketu. I'm sure there'll be a bus to Iju from Ketu. Maybe even a BRT. or simply take BRT to Ketu, From Ketu, another BRT to Agege Pen cinema. From there find your way to Iju. |
kkc1:You'll get your seat number when it's time to check in. Either you do it online or at the airport. |
Gernny:First of, I'm more than successful than you or your lineage. Secondly, perhaps as a UK resident, you can tell us how he'll survive as a married man with 5 kids in the UK in relation to his quality of life in Nigeria with a 25m property . Let everyone learn from your tips |
Gernny:That's how y'all are blabbing my friend this, my friend that.... Have you lived outside the country before? Op, take it from someone who has studied, lived and worked in Europe. Don't try it. There is a difference between visiting the UK and actually living there. With 5 kids, don't try it. Your quality of life will reduce by a lot. |
Scammer oshi. Even the average income in Poland is less than 1000€. |
First of all, you don't need 25m to settle in the UK. You don't even need half of that. Second of all, you're married with 5 kids. Best advice you can get is; Don't do it. Don't even consider going to the UK. |
All these yeye northerners busy writing rubbish to make it seem anyone cares about their embargo..... The truth is, we don't care. All these noise about it is only online talk. People don't care about it offline. How many people dey chop cow sef. Idiot even said "According to a report by the BBC, a ram was on Tuesday sold at N1millon and another at N800,000 at Alaba Rago Market in Lagos State.". Where is the link to the BBC report? Rubbish and Nonsense. |
Mehn, I feel you. I'm supposed to have been back in Europe too. But after having my first child last month, I'm still rethinking it, especially childcare costs. Enrolling my baby in childcare facilities means my wife earnings will majorly go into childcare payments, having my wife stay at home will leave her dormant careerwise. Besides, the baby is still too young for daycare facilities. How do you intend to navigate that aspect. Maybe I could learn from you. |

Wow,Nigerians travel o. I always see those countries like Poland, Romania, Ukraine as the laggers in Europe but I still prefer Romania of those 3. You really have fond memories of the place.
