Nobody scammed them. They came here with the intention of settling down or moving to another EU country and use the fan ID as an opportunity. They have seen its not easy and survival is hard. Nigerians are fond of lying about why they are stranded in a foreign country. |
The background looks like Milan Lampugnano. This is a place of reference I used to advice people who are planning to migrate illegally. So many frustrated, depressed and suicidal illegal migrants who have seen the reality on ground in Italy and looking to sneak into those buses to go to Germany or France. |
chyy5:To be honest with you, it depends on what you call a job. To some Nigerians in Germany, a job could mean doing some cleaning jobs, moving jobs, logistics jobs or even restaurant jobs at places like McDonalds. But to others like me, a job after study means a professional job. The situation is almost the same as in Nigeria. And it's even much more harder considering that you're Black (I'm sure you know there are racial discrimination in the European job markets) and the fact that you may not yet be proficient in German. And not only will you be competing against Germans and other foreign students in Germany, you will also be competing against other EU citizens who most likely are proficient in English, German and another European language. There are many Nigerians here who have been forced by the situation to re-enrol in school for another Masters or even a PhD, those who have had to marry to legalise their stay due to the expiry of their 18 months after study permit, and there are also those who have been lucky enough to get a job immediately after graduating. So in essence, it's difficult but not impossible. |
GavelSlam:That's the problem. I'm not coming home to start a business and my father does not have a business of his own. I work with an NGO, and contemplating requesting a transfer back home. That's why I am asking because I don't want to shoot myself in the shoe. |
TRUTHTOPOWER:Thank you for the answer. So what advice would you have for someone who already works for an international NGO, has not done the NYSC and wants to be transferred to Nigeria. Called up back then, posted to Northern Nigeria and refused to go for security reasons as an outspoken atheist. |
I have a question of my own. Is NYSC mandatory for a foreign graduate who is on an "INTERNATIONAL CONTRACT" in an NGO in Nigeria? Is it also mandatory for a similar person, but with a local contract in an NGO. I'm asking because according to premiumtimes, NYSC is mandatory for employment in public and private sectors in Nigeria and an NGO does not conform to any of both categories. I would appreciate an honest reply. cc: TRUTHTOPOWER |
Does anyone have any idea about the salary. They are asking for work experience abroad. Maybe the salary is tempting enough to bring me back home. |
overdrive:Grown body with Make up on. Her face would have given her away but these "underaged whites" have mastered the art of using makeup to appear older. |
Lazy blogger just went ahead to copy and paste a US post. Are we Americans? So why should we bother about snacks on "American grocery shelves". Reported. |
tayooluwole:I wonder what sort of stupid thinking this is. You don't have money to feed yourself, now you want to add two more mouths or possibly more. To do what actually? izzou , please stop calling this one a man. He is still thinking like a new born. I hate stupid and dumb boys like this. Imagine someone without a source of income wanting to bring babies to the world. |
I believe it is a relationship. And not a "Poverty Alleviation Program". |
justwise:He is not comparing London to "many cities in Nigeria". I believe he specifically mentioned 5 places in Nigeria and a parameter, the crime rate (security) of which he is 100% correct. The killings and Moped attacks may not be "usually like that" but it still shows London is less safe than Ikoyi or Victoria Island. I could also argue based on your defense that Maiduguri is a safe city since terror attacks were also "usually not like that" and the killings are high for a fact. I haven't lived in Maitama while I have only been to Asokoro thrice. But I schooled in VI, Worked at Ikoyi and yes, Lekki is my hometown (Yes, hometown. Don't be surprised ). So I can speak for these places.I live in Germany and I have been to London a couple of times, and I can boldly say that in terms of Security (crime), these 3 areas are much better than London, Paris and Frankfurt. |
MissRaine69:Pardon me ma. I'll rather not talk about my own physique. You wouldn't be able to verify them either way. But do I have a potbelly? Hell NO. That's one of my greatest fears in life ![]() Do I consider a protruding stomach on a non-pregnant woman repulsive, gross, disgusting, obnoxious and appalling? Unfortunately, YES. I can understand a post-baby stomach but I find it distasteful for a single lady. Are they in competition with Pregnant women? |
darlenese:I'm not asking women to be perfect. I am only asking them not to have a protruding stomach. Nowadays, it's even hard to differentiate between a normal woman and a pregnant woman when almost all of them walk around with a flabby stomach. And No, I don't have a knock knee. |
ChiefAzubuike:Hypocrisy. But a woman is allowed to do same about a man |
On a personal level, Big stomach. For heavens sake, the only time I want to see a lady with a protruding stomach is when she is pregnant. |
Mindfulness:I think you are misunderstanding me. Child support is different from spousal support or divorce settlement. The fees above are for the fortunate ones who do not have a legalized relationship/marriage. That's for them to bother with. Every person for their own. I learned most of my family values from my parents and one thing I know I learned from them is to do some proper planning on how to run your daily life before you think of adding someone else to the equation. Besides, I'm even against taking shift jobs when you have a family to cater for, whether you are a man or a woman. It's safe to say the nurses conducting the study are safe from me as I won't be having anything to do with nurses. ![]() Maybe I should ask my Mama how she raised 3 boys without ever hiring a maid or a nanny while still holding a fulltime job she never retired from ![]() Lol. I think a lot of men like me prefer the ones who 'embezzles' the family fund but still go ahead to get richer by holding down a job. |
Mindfulness:- Involved with people doesn't mean I'm friends with them. There are a lot of possible scenarios where you can be involved with even the people you don't like. - There are no fixed amount as it depends on a number of factors such as child's age, your salary, number of children etc. as outlined in the DÜSSELDORFER table. And Yes, irrespective of the number of children the man has, a portion of his salary is reserved for the man to sustain himself and the remaining fund will have to be distributed among the remaining children. - I believe there are schools/kindergarten/preschools/ college for children as well as PAID Maternity leave. |
Mindfulness:1. Yes, I have seen because I have been involved in one way or another with some of them. 2. They pay both if married. In Germany, child support isn't that expensive for the average man. So a lot of men wouldn't mind paying that. That's why they only cohabitate to get out from becoming homeless while still paying alimony incase of separation. 3. No. You can check online for that. From the knowledge/conversations with Germans here, colleagues, neighbours and even the football pitch, I can safely say that a very large majority are only cohabiting even with children. 4. No. I don't think so. I believe it's majorly due to the issue above. 5. Don't get me wrong. I'm not against men paying for their children. I'm against leaving a man penniless and homeless because of a thing called marriage. I'm sure you know a PRENUP does not mean a man is safe from paying child support. It is there to ensure the stability of a man incase of future events. - Lastly, they are the poorest of the population? I'm confused by this statistics. Maybe it's just down to laziness. Is there any discrimination in the job market against single mothers or does being a single mother exempt you from getting a job like any normal woman would do? |
Veektore:Are you telling me about a country I have been to multiple times? There is a reason why I think it is the most racist/xenophobic country in Europe ahead of usual suspects like Italy etc. I have nothing to say. Goodluck to you. |
You obviously don't know anything about Poland. Do a simple google search. input Poland and xenophobia in the same sentence. Come back to tell me your results. |
I wonder what you need Polish language for. IMO, Poland is the most racist and xenophobic country in Europe. While I wonder why you chose to even go to Poland, they will most probably reject your language course visa application. |
Moderators should change the topic. He didn't risk his life by jumping. He had a f.ucking parachute. I came here expecting to see a video of a man free-falling from the sky ![]() |
shaybebaby:Unworthy examples. Did Nick Cannon get the house? No Did he receive any alimony? No Halle Berry was smart enough to have done a prenup. Mariah only gets to pay for his expenses when he visits. I repeat, Men should not legalize whatsoever relationship they have with female in the Western world. Just cohabitate. That way, your losses are minimal. And if you must get married for whatever reasons, please do a PRENUP. If she says No, you should see the handwriting on the wall. I have seen many depressed African men across Europe. They have been here for so long with nothing to show for it simply because they have lost everything they have to divorce settlements, coupled with the need to continually pay child support. Can't go back home for fear of being seen as a failure. Please be wise. A wise man learns from the mistake of others. If you can't think of examples, remember Emmanuel EBOUE of Arsenal. A man who earned millions of pounds turning to someone who cannot even afford a washing machine. The Key word is a PRENUP. If you ever think of marriage, think of a PRENUP. |
shaybebaby:Trust me, even if she has a career and you both contribute equally, she gets the house and the other benefits whatsoever. I don't live in the US, and even though the law is not as much biased as it over there, It sounds familiar as it is here in Germany. I have seen women purposely quit their marriage so they could frolick around while getting their monthly cheques. In most cases where the woman has more than a child, she even gets much more than she would dream of getting if she was working. So of course, most women in Germany take advantage of that. Which is why MOST GERMAN MEN stopped getting married/ do not want to get married. Here, cohabitation is the order of the day and marriage rate is falling drastically. If you like cohabitate for 200 years, you are not recognized by any legal entity as a partner in Germany. You can only get child support for the child only which will not be enough for the mother. In fact, unmarried fathers have the right to sue for joint custody, meaning the woman may not even get child support at all. The advice I can only give to the men is simple: - If you live wherever in the Western World, DO NOT LEGALIZE a relationship. Just COHABITATE. You don't need a piece of paper to show you love somebody. - If you need a relationship, do so with with someone over there. But remember, cohabitation alone. If it has to be someone back home, then leave her back home and only come for visitation. - If you ever need to get married, Please and please, Sign a PRENUP. If she doesn't want to sign a Prenup, she is not the right one for you. Don't let love fool you. |
oyb:Hahaha. Shows he has been in Abuja for longer than he claims. Lol. Oya Op, drop the name of the hotel in Kubwa. Just the name of the hotel (no phone number or name). That way, we can confirm independently and directly from them. I'm sure they will remember whoever is owing them 20k as well as your bags with the international passport. |
sobastical:I wonder where you got your information. Tell me one country that does not accept Travel insurance from Nigeria. @ prodogunwanoe1 , you do not need to pay the €30k, you only have to get a 3 month (as a student) travel insurance from any insurance company in Nigeria for your intending destination/country. Of course, it must be within the dates you expect to travel. Yes, you have to let them know the insurance should cover you up to €30k. You can even find it in the document you will be given. I used IGI then, costing about N19k. I have also had someone purchase IGI travel insurance for me back in Nigeria for three other countries (including Germany and France) since I found them cheaper than buying in Europe. |
NwaChibuzor060:I never insult people online but permit me sir, To call you an Idiot. What a stupid mindset. |
uboma:Did you even bother to check the link. It was about an Indian man in Australia who was accused of turning his indian wife to a slave. Nothing to do with Isis. Op is just a mischievous fella with a fake story. |
Have mercy. No offense bro, but 25 million for land in Iyana Ipaja of all places. Even lands in surulere, Lekki and Ikeja are less than that. It is not in an estate, the vicinity doesn't look serene, no paved/good road network and you expect someone to really pay 25M for that. I wonder what is now happening in Lagos with agents heavily inflating prices. |
Wait, is that a female? |
mumureloaded:Please don't listen to this advice to take steroids. They have many side effects such as damaging your liver, infertility, aggression etc. Besides you lose all the gains immediately you stop taking them. So they won't do you more good. I'm in your shoes. And I started my weight gain challenge back in April. Actually, I have started late last year but I just got my strategies right this April. The only way to gain weight is to eat more and more. If you are in a hurry, take 1000 calorie surplus per day. Forget about adding fat now, it doesn't matter for now. You are slim and need it anyway. If you are having problems eating like me, turn to liquids such as Milk and take oil as a cheat. And like someone rightly pointed out, if you really want to gain weight fast, maintain a sedentary lifestyle. It is pretty useless if after consuming all those calories, you go ahead to play 3 hours football or walk a long distance. You're going to burn them all away. If you're involved in physical work, your challenge gets harder . Calorie dense foods: Noodles, Pasta, Rice, Palm oil, Vegetable oil, Banana, Chicken, Bread, Eba, Fufu etc. Goodluck. |
