Unfortunately, Shazam will never beat Aquaman's record. It is sandwiched between many bankable movies. People looked forward to Aquaman because of the anticipation built up from BVS and Justice League. Besides, Shazam isn't as popular as Aquaman. This movie will even manage to make $750 million globally!

Shazam is DC's next movie as we all know, whether it is a big or average or small release we don't know yet but a movie with a budget of over $150M, it isn't a small movie, it has to be huge.

Yes, we have lighthearted movies E.g Deadpool, that makes us laugh our brains out but a full fletch comic or comedy movie is what we haven't seen and Shazam from the look of things according to the Trailer is bringing that to us.

I just have one thing to say, Shazam would surprise people.

they kn0w this but the thing is flashpoint isn't the only story that can be used to reboot the dceu. There's infinite crises, blackest night, the nail, etc. Dc has no shortage of those.

I don't think a superman or a batman film will be well recieved. Expectati0ns are high for these characters, that was mainly what scared Affleck. He didn't want an0ther backlash and a damaged career. But if WB prove stubborn and come up with a MOS 2, then they should go with Parasite as main villain, Toy man with Lex as a side villain to introduce JL 2. No supergirl but a hint at her.

I don't have any problem with the characters in Suicide Squad.
I loved them all especially Harley and Deadshot.
Although Suicide Squad lacked good character development but overall the characters were interesting and fun to watch.
I guess James Gunn wants to build a whole new team of his own for SS2 and that's absolutely fine.
Writers and directors should be given the freedom to craft their own ideas for future DC movies without WBs interference...thats why Patty and James made hits with WW and Aquaman respectively.



James Gunn should give me Dave Bautista as Bane and Micheal B Jordan as Bronze Tiger and I will be more than hyped for Suicide Squad 2
Since the rumours suggest Bane in SS2 is possible, I can't think of anybody to play Bane other than Dave Bautista...he has worked with James Gunn before so it's very possible...i mean who else would James Gunn pick to play Bane.



My love for Cat woman started with TDKR.
She may not feature in Batman but since Matt Reeves wants to craft a new trilogy for The Caped Crusader, it's possible she appear in future Batman films.



The rumors about the new Batman movie featuring a younger Batman keeps getting stronger everyday.
In fact there is 90% chance it could be true even though Matt Reeves has not confirmed it.
A younger Batman is a good idea cuz Ben Affleck was not well received by critics.
I still want Affleck in Batman movie, he should play the older Batman while a new actor plays younger Batman.
I don't want WB to make use of CGI ageing effect.

Their desperation can be seen in their move to acquire Fox which will give them the right of ownership over the X-men and Fantastic Four Franchises. Excessive control.
Their desperation and willingness to play dirty can also be seen in their action in moving Avengers: Endgame to the same month Shazam is releasing. What the hell are these guys aiming at. WB/DC should better put on their A-game. Whatever game Disney/ Marvel wants to play, Shazam will be a hit in terms of box office returns, I don't know for critical review.

Aquaman has done it's part, it has made the DCEU proud, it's time for you, Shazam to do yours, make us proud. Don't disappoint.

Eric Needham
The original Black Spider first appeared in
Detective Comics #463 (September 1976) and was created by Gerry Conway . Eric Needham is a small-time crook who is addicted to heroin. Eric was first sentenced to prison after mugging and nearly killing an elderly woman but, as a minor, he was out in three years. Over the next two years, Eric married his friend Linda Morrel and they had a son, Michael. Desperate for money to buy more drugs, he robs a liquor store. He kills the owner, who turns out to be his father. After being arrested, he kicks the habit out of remorse and begins a war on the drug trade.
Donning a costume, he becomes a self-styled vigilante and begins killing those suspected of dealing drugs. This brings him into conflict with Batman . Needham's paraphernalia and missions as the Black Spider were bankrolled by a man who is secretly involved with narcotics and wants to take out the competition.
Despite his professed desire to fight criminals, the Black Spider occasionally allies himself with costumed villains (most notably in the gathering of super-villains in Detective Comics #526 and Batman #400). Ostensibly, Black Spider's goal in this is to seek revenge against Batman, or at least, this is how he attempted to justify his actions in his own mind. Needham also faced King Faraday and
Nightshade in a brief flashback in Secret Origins #28.
During his war, Needham's wife and son are killed by a drug lord who discovers the Black Spider's identity. In a rage, the Spider prepares for one final assault. After being shot multiple times, Needham invades the drug lord's headquarters and detonates explosives strapped to his back, killing the drug dealers in the process. [1]
Eric Needham later turns up in Neil Gaiman 's critically acclaimed fantasy comic The Sandman dating supporting character Lyta Hall . No explanation was given for his resurrection.
Whatever the case, Needham's survival has since been confirmed and the character has made subsequent appearances as the Black Spider, such as in the miniseries Underworld Unleashed . He was seen in Identity Crisis as an ally of Deadshot , Monocle , and Merlyn . He is later a member of The Society .
He is one of the villains sent to retrieve the Get Out of Hell Free card from the Secret Six .
In September 2011, The New 52 rebooted DC's continuity. In this new timeline, Eric first appears as a member of the Suicide Squad, though he resents being forced to work with criminals despite being one himself. Despite his holier-than-thou attitude towards much of the team, he does not view himself as a hero, just as a man who kills criminals, even willing to smother them in their hospital beds. He is also slightly overconfident of his abilities, getting himself injured multiple times while assuming he could easily defeat several armed opponents. [2] Amanda Waller eventually offers him an opportunity to quit the team, stating that he is not a monster like the others. Eric declines, stating that he "needs" the team after losing his family. [3]
However, this turns out to be a ploy, as Needham was actually a double agent working for Regulus of the terrorist group Basilisk. WB didn't start heavy marketing on Aquaman until November.
Jason Momoa got his billboard in Times Square in December like 2 weeks before the movie released in US.

I think WB are gonna employ the same marketing strategy they used on Aquaman to Shazam.

No heavy marketing until late February/ early March.

I just noticed that the director of Shazam David Sandberg has worked twice with James Aquaman. Infact, he owes his career to Wan. I also noticed that his two last films have positive reviews. Well, I'm not implying anything, but the worst that can happen to Shazam is 50-60 percent on RT.

Here comes your pessimism again. Well, time will tell. Only thing I'll say is that people now know more about the bias against D.C and so the critics will thread carefully.

people always accuse me of being pessimistic. You say people kn0w abt the DC bias, lol. Not every0ne, just DC fans, and trust me, people still believe in critics. Aquaman was just fortunate to be the excepti0n, partly becos of James Wan. Shazam won't be that lucky. Critics would turn it to shreds and use it to create publicity for Avengers Endgame. Why did i say this? Creating a positive review with a fresh rating like 84 percent could make it stay l0nger in cinemas and perform well, that w0n't help Avengers Endgame, and also they w0n't want it to be a threat to Captain Marvel. So trust me, it would be the victim i.e like JL was. JL wasn't a good film but c0mpared to the 'other' film was on a similar level, but guess what? They treated that film like it was the best. Its publicity.

Problem with BvS is the plot and CGI.

the problem with the plot was that it focused too much on Batman and less of Superman. It didn't duel on the rivalry, their differences. The story didn't show supes viewpoint on how crime should be tackled as against that of batman. I was expecting bats and supes to at first clash during a crime that leads to the criminals getting away and Bruce getting injured and supes taking batman to the gotham police to be arrested only for batman to get released. Then s0mewhere in the news, clark hears the criminals that had escaped were hunted and killed by 'the batman', then that rapist who got killed in pris0n and a scene featuring joker to show clark how much damage the batman has caused. It would then be revealed by Lois that Lex had the 2 criminals and those terrorists killed. Then supes would go to reveal it at that hearing only for every0ne to die. Supes goes into exile, c0mes back, saves Lois, c0nfr0nts Lex and alm0st kills him. Supes beats Lex but leaves to go get bruce on his side. Bruce still hates him, they fight for 15 minutes. Bruce coaches clark abt justice then supes asks if it would be justice to kill him and let martha die. The why did u say that name line. Then supes would tell him an inn0cent w0man's life is at stake, how Lex planned everything and may be planning m0re. Supes would go, he believed so much in humanity but what batman has bec0me was inhuman and that may be what and who he needed in saving the woman. Supes tells bruce, he isn't the enemy bt the victim [flashback on how bruce's parents were killed] then Bats would go: "martha doesn't die tonight". Everything happens same way here on out.

the martha scene could have been good if written or acted well. That was poor acting from Cavill and over acting on the part of Ben Affleck. That scene was rushed and badly scripted.

keep believing that. There's one thing i'll assure u, the criticism would be negative, over negative sef and the reviews fr0m critics would all pr0m0te or market Avengers Endgame. Watch. Shazam would be a great film though bt it will be a victim just as watchmen was.

I disagree with you. Don't be deceived by the trailer rather follow the news update on this movie. So far, we have been informed that Shazam will be battling several other villains in this movie not just one, so definitely there will be humor but it will be mixed with action.

They also intend to make the movie a family film, maybe that's why you feel its too childish.

I've never taken film reviews seriously. So far, I'm interested, I will go see it regardless of what the critics say.

And as regards the bias against D.C films, I think we all know that. Imagine BP getting a VFX nomination and not AQman.

You can see how Singing Poppins is doing poorly at the B.O and bloggers have decided to be quiet, just imagine if AQman was in Poppins' shoes, you go read different headlines tire.
