Y’all see why things should not be hidden under the carpet? Daily, unsuspecting Nigerians are coming to this section, seeking help, not asking to be defrauded.

You have n3xt / brabusng /brabus coming back here to re-establish his presence after the multitude of victims left in his wake from at least 2011 to 2016. Yet, some people say we should wait for more victims to confirm whether or not he’s a changed man. As we wait, some of us will continue to push awareness. I have no alliances and I’m not looking for new friends so please, lose the frenemy advice approach, it’s getting stale.

Open your eyes well, do thorough research because millions of naira have been lost to one man alone. N3xt / brabusng / brabus aka kobocity is the consummate laptop builder. All it takes is some searching in the search bar above after narrowing down to the properties section from all sections. This is not child’s play, he’s very prolific. May God bless his victims wherever they are today.

This is basic online deception 101. Create multiple IDs because you never know when you’ll need to mobilize them to come to your aid. When you amass millions of other people’s money, multiple victims, you start believing you can fool all the people all the time. You start trusting in your own delusional invincibility. The interesting thing about fraudsters is that in the end, it’s not a matter of intellect, a lot of their scams depend on people to be trusting.

The more you look, the less you see. The accused is now the mediator, you can’t make this stuff up. No surprises though, desperate times require desperate measures.

Someone that registered in January 2021 to promote brabusng / kobocity / n3xt / brabus’ kobocity. A self confessed “partner” who already addressed me (and I ignored) a few days ago is now here to dismiss charges. After all, victims not being here is confirmation nothing happened. By the way, this mediation will be restricted to the few people that showed up on the “selected “ thread even if their full stories are not captured. The multiple victims’ posts littered all over this section can be discarded. Is that supposed to represent logic to people with working brains?

The fact that egunmogaji reiterated that he started his thread for selfish reasons does NOT invalidate the contributions made by other people on that thread. On the thread, he made it clear he was there to revenge and when he stopped posting he stated why. How does this equate a summary dismissal of the thread and it’s contents?

Egun’s thread did not cover all the fraud perpetrated against Nland members. I have repeatedly stated that each time I referenced the thread.

Page 482 on this very off topic thread is where Egunmogaji, in 2016, states why he stopped even though n3xt / brabus did not apologize. That has never been a secret, it’s all in the thread. I’ve only ever referred to that thread as an incomplete catalogue of all the atrocities so nothing to see here. Nice weak try though but Mmotimo is nothing if not tenacious.

One of the reasons n3xt / brabus / kobocity / brabusng was able to amass so many victims through the years is due to folks that were always ready to make excuses for him. Honestly, without these people always there, he probably wouldn’t have gone as far as he did.

We already know that stealing is not corruption, now we’ve heard that fraud is simply a lack of project management skills. As if the Baba Lati builders of those days who built for my parents and grandparents had project management skills. What they had were the basics of human decency and the outlook of those who believed in earning a honest living.

Procuring a fake building approval for hundreds of thousands is lack of project management skills?
Taking on construction you had no personal or even outside professional expertise for is lack of project management skills?
The bait and switch strategy that he repeatedly used to deceive clients is lack of project management skills?
Not procuring a plan you were paid for nko? That too is due to lack of project management skills?
Mocking your clients’ pain and broke shaming them online as they lamented is lack of project management skills?
Not delivering materials for which you were paid is lack of project management skills?
Repeated lies are due to a lack of project management skills?

You see how we, as a people, hide serious character flaws under the guise of professional flaws? Greed and wickedness have been massaged into a lack of project management skills smh.

For those that work for their money:

On page 2070, I showed how you can do a search in this section. I would recommend add fraud after the username or add scam for example if a username is “oloriole” search for:

“Oloriole fraud”
“oloriole scam”

notice the space between the words.

This helps to narrow things down quite a bit. Assuming, of course, that the person has had an accusation. Some of your search results could simply be a person commenting on another’s fraud accusation so a search result does not mean the searched user ID was accused of fraud. Please read carefully. I saw some user IDs like that whose only connection was commenting on threads where someone else had been accused.

In cases where the searched ID has been accused of fraud, you would need to patiently dig down further and hopefully get the whole story. Remember that an allegation does not mean confirmation however if it walks like a duck? As I have learnt in this section, attempted fraud/scam is not the same as actual fraud/scam, some have proclaimed that you have to wait for a couple of weeks to cry out i.e. give the fraudster time to finish spending your money first. Maybe you subscribe to that separation, maybe you don’t. To each his own. The main thing is to complete as much independent research as possible on that individual(s). A search does not offer 100% guarantee, after all a non scammer only needs one case to be called a scammer but at least, depending on how long the vendor has been on here, it’s a start.

Note that some people love the idea of scrubbing posts so that a scammer’s history is wiped clean once he has settled the scammed. I think that’s a terrible idea but that is the logic a lot of our people embrace. Once you refund, the crime is erased, the scammer is pressured into deleting the posts where he called out the scammer. As a result, you may not find full details of previous drama, leaving someone else at the mercy of that same scammer. Very much the same as those who say don’t talk about brabus / kobocity / n3xt / brabusng’s previous scams because they were committed when naira was toilet tissue a long time ago.

I did a few searches using the criteria I described above and I was shocked to see that someone with no scandals in the property section is a decorated fraudster in the phone section. Now, maybe that wouldn’t matter to you and maybe it would. It’s your money, you be the judge. Scams are committed at every and any stage of the construction process, from procuring materials to hands on construction and everything in between and believe me, no amount is too small. These thieves are not selective.

Never forget that birds of the same feather flock together. In his glory days when victims were rolling in, brabusng / n3xt / brabus subcontracted work to some of the individuals on here. I can’t assume that every one of those people is a fraudster but let’s just say that some of those people generally found/find it easier to defend him when his escapades become public. I have no doubt they’re still waiting on the sidelines for something to drop for them once a new maga is reeled in. Some have been with him since 2013. I saw a post by a vendor back in 2013 , basically patting brabus / n3xt / brabusng on the back for the 2013 Port Harcourt disaster. Same character with multiple victims in the phone section was on here this week with an asinine comment. So, always be very, very careful. When sh**t hits the fan, the people that put mouth are not always objective. Some are only putting mouth to protect their own interests.

Yesterday, I said most vendors are good. I am taking that statement back. Not because it’s untrue but because I realize that I truly just do not know, I have no personal experience. It’s up to the people with firsthand experience to make those claims.

If you see something, please say something. Do not wait until someone else calls out a fraudulent vendor before piggybacking to call them out too. Why are you shielding a fraudster? The ever ready sentiment of “it will affect his livelihood “ is b***shit, pardon my French. Hardly anyone comes public with issues unless they have made repeated unsuccessful attempts to reach the vendor so don’t let anyone guilt-trip you to keep quiet while the scammer pays you a reduced settlement amount small-small or not at all.

I don’t think I know those people and I cannot say whether or not they are/were his friends but there are others whose names are not mentioned in the post who are still very much here so be very careful. If they support fraud, then how likely is it that they can conduct business without fraud? Show me your friends and I’ll tell you. . . . . . . .

The atrocities of N3xt / brabus / kobocity / brabusng would fill a book, there is so much material in this section under different usernames, it’s not even funny.

For those that want to wait till we have a brand new 2021 victim testimony, please give him money to build for you so that you can be his testimony. It’s a brand new decade, maybe he has changed even if his habit of deflecting and passing the buck is still very much evident. More than 10 customers with complaints yet he’s an innocent man, they are the ones with something wrong with them.

Here’s a tip - a person who broke shames his clients, the people who make it possible for him to earn a living; that person is a crook. If you don’t actually work for money, you can’t help disrespecting those that do. It is typical behaviour with fraudsters.

Like I already said, the apologists / alternate IDs / defenders / fraudulent associates are always here to distract and detract.

Keep your eyes on the ball, wait for the confirmation that all those victims lied and only wanted to tarnish the image of an innocent man. That is the real answer, not rants and vents by folks with ulterior motives. Yes o! So, how do you do a search to get yourself some protection so that you do not fall for brabusng/ brabus / n3xt / kobocity and his associates?

Ask for the full name of the person offering service and google that name on the internet Google site . You’d be surprised at the information out there. N3xt ‘s court arraignment is right there on the www under his real name, free, public information.

Same thing, google all the user IDs that they use on Nairaland. Do this same search here on Nairaland like so:


Go to the top search button and search the name. It will usually search in all sections which is often unhelpful
Narrow your search by choosing “properties” so that it searches only this section.

I have refrained from mentioning names of what I would consider credible (some are very much not) old timers who could provide references because a lot of them maintain a distance from n3xt / brabusng / brabus beyond very occasional post association. I have noticed that the more respectable personalities don’t engage with him constantly and I don’t want to put them on the spot by mentioning their names. They were here through it all and know much more about brabus than I do.

A lot of those people come here because of a real interest in building, theirs or others and have no vested interest . Many are based in the diaspora and show up at odd times of the day but they lurk and have used a lot of the artisans here. Some have built multiple homes in Naija, using Nairaland contractors. I believe that the good vendors are more than the bad.

The real builders and contractors with no scandals would be a good source of referrals too but they’re probably leery of being termed “haters” so don’t ask them who “NOT TO” do business with. Instead, ask them who they “WOULD” recommend to their own family members. The true builders / contractors are booked and busy and may not get back to you quickly. Don’t give up.

Consumers have done well here but a lot of millions have also been lost to conmen in this section so never let down your guard. The good ones may not be able to do your job right away. Exercise patience and wait. It’s not how fast but how well. Never be in a hurry to spend money. May God protect us from the devourers aka awon apanilekunjaiye, the ones who want to prosper on other people’s tears.you can imagine a conman saying he used a customer’s #3 million to fund his father’s funeral expenses smh.

I once saw a post talking about how n3xt / kobocity / brabusng / brabus went from a novice looking for pointers when building his house many years ago to a “builder” in the twinkle of an eye. Yes, right in this section. That person’s post is still here on Nland. It’s called packaging, only way a novice with limited actual experience becomes an internet expert.

N3xt is proficient at this, he’s very good with the packaging and deceit, this is what he does. You are facing an expert, be very very careful. I once described him as a sociopath and one of his victims called him “yahoo boy with a shovel.” Add in a bunch of internet cheerleaders always ready to defend fraud and BOOM! We have another victim.

Too many defender/casualties along the way. Too bad these defenders don’t put their money where their mouth is. Always ready to defend fraud but they won’t award him their monied projects.

Is it any wonder reputable old timers cannot defend him? Even the one that was talking around in circles a few days ago, I saw his 2013 post on the chateau thread when he still had a conscience . The sooner you regulars root out the wolves amongst the sheep, the better for this section and consumers. Mixing wheat with chaff does not work. But then again, the old timers know whom to approach when it comes down to cash, it’s the newbies that suffer.

The thread starter did not do it for altruistic reasons but God so good, it’s a solid point of reference and good catalogue of some of n3xt ‘s atrocities. When God wants to save you, He’ll use anybody. The thread did not capture every single victim but there’s quite a bit you can learn from there.

Time flies but some things never change, doesn’t matter if it’s 5 years ago or today. No be today defenders come out of the woodwork to defend fraud. Who would have thought I’d be back posting this in 2021.

The last few pages, we’ve been showcasing the escapades of our 2000 posts a day laptop builder, the resident property section’s internet search engine brabus / kobocity / brabus / n3xt, the one that has the answer to every question because the internet is where he lives full time and he can monitor and complete actual builds while posting on Nland 24/7. If that doesn’t tell you something, pray for more discernment.

Forgive me for ignoring mentions alluding to a personal experience with n3xt / brabus or even more laughable and silly, a competitor. The fact that it is beyond people’s comprehension that I can do this for 100% altruistic reasons speaks volumes about the level of our moral decadence. Sorry to burst your bubble but I have never and would never deal with a character like n3xt / brabus and I do not know any of his victims, I just have blood in my veins and I don’t have it in me to watch someone fall into a hole hidden under a carpet when I know the hole is there. If he had defrauded me, I can guarantee that he would be walking the streets in rags by now and everything he ever owned would have been reduced to nought. I don’t play with scammers, not at all. The one person that ever tried to scam me (unsuccessfully), by the time I was done dealing with him, he knew he should not have tried it, it was simply not worth his suffering. My bullshit-ometer is always on high alert. I can smell a con a mile away.

If you cannot speak up unless something impacts you personally, then shame on you.
