Deal with power, first and foremost.
Stop with the government interference in the power sector. Government should set guidelines but a national grid in a country the size of Nigeria is foolish.
The rest will take care of itself. |

Meanwhile, among all those 'qualified' northern appointees that Buhari has been filling the whole place with, can anyone tell me any of them that is 'qualified' enough to earn himself an international recognition or appointment? They aren't qualified to rescue their own states from the latrine but they can be forced on the nation and people expect them to perform. Nigerians should be concerned. |

Image123: Every past government in Nigeria has had good plans for Nigeria, the problems has been implementation. Even Abacha and Babangida had good plans,visions2020 ,roadmap etc for our power, healthcare, economy and so on.Do you know since when Stella Oduah and co planned and paid for these without implementation? Now a timeline of 9months is set, 45%groundwork is being done, and I can almost bet that a large chunk of that 45% has something to do with the aura and fear of the new administration. i think we should be patriotic instead of political, election has come and gone. Did you not notice the improvements made to airports in Nigeria? Have you flown to Ibadan recently? There was implementation and economic growth but because Stella Oduah bought two cars people cried 'corruption'. Meanwhile the governor of Adamawa, a state struggling to battle Boko Haram, has just done likewise and not a sound has been made. I am not being 'political' - I am neither PDP nor APC; Jonathan nor Buhari. I am a realist. When progress is being made, I applaud. When there is stagnation I ask questions. |

It's clear that this man has no ideas of his own. This is a man whose only platform prior to 2013 was Sharia law. He was the man calling for amnesty for terrorists who wish to impose Islamic Sharia law on Nigeria as an entity.
I'm glad that he is continuing the good projects from the previous administration but so far he has done nothing to suggest that he has a plan for Nigeria besides ensuring that those close to him are in positions of authority. |

Christianity Etc › American Gun Manufacturer Has Released A Rifle Etched With Verses From The Bible by mmsen(op): 1:12pm On Sep 05, 2015 |
The weapon called the Crusader Rifle has a Psalm on one side, while a cross and shield are etched on the other. The Bible verse, Psalm 144:1, reads: “Blessed be the Lord my Rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle.”
The gun’s safety lever has three settings: Pax Pacis (Peace), Bellum (War), and Deus Vult (God Wills It). A new AR-15 is described as a lightweight mid-length rifle that can be used for competition or tactical applications. Its price is about $1,395 (N277,605).
Its manufacturer Spike’s Tactical believe that guns with such design will never be used by Muslim terrorists. Trying too explain company’s decision to create the Crusader a spokesman for Florida-based Spike’s Tactical said:
“Right now and as it has been for quite some time, one of the biggest threats in the world is and remains Islamic terrorism. We wanted to make sure we built a weapon that would never be able to be used by Muslim terrorists to kill innocent people or advance their radical agenda.” |

dave2meek: Nobody is against Buhari doing his job, but let him do it in the right way... Competent people does not come only from the North. There is no argument to claim that competent people are only found in the north or even predominately found in the north. If you look at WAEC, NECO, university and human indices it does not make any sense that you would draw so many of your appointments from the least developed part of the country. Why have they not developed their own region? Why have they not used their abilities to improve the lives of the northerners from a state or local government level? |

Nnemuka: one day, i wanna meet you in your 60's still enjoying your evenings alone. many men have been able to manage and tame same type of women you'll keep complaining about. do have a nice day Why does a man have to 'tame' a grown woman? Is she an animal? Is she a child? Are we not always being told how women are somehow superior? The average man in his 60s is either divorced; dealing with the stress of an unhappy marriage; or dealing with the stress of having worked a lifetime trying to keep an ungrateful woman (and her pastor) financially and materially fulfilled. |

He should have communicated to Nigerians or even the football federation that his mother is ill or dead. So that they will know exactly why.
Where there is lack of communication, the mind speculates and imagination runs riot. He told them that he had a family issue to attend to. His word should have been trusted, this is a man who has always been 100% dedicated to the cause. At no point has he ever given anyone cause to doubt him. Why should he have to divulge all of his business, if the man and his family wish to mourn in peace they should have that right - not everything needs to be in the public domain. |

Nnemuka: his peace? I guess you didnt think this through before posting. How can one go back to nothing at the end of everyday? no one to make you feel special..... well i believe you must be a teenager or still very young. I go back to 'nothing' at the end of the day, I get to enjoy my evenings as I please. I know many other men who do likewise. Marriage is not for everyone, for many it becomes a chore at best and in some cases a punishment. I do not know what it is like for a man to have to engage with a woman who cannot keep hold of her mouth; who has a need to divulge every last detail of her every action for the day; who has a need to pick and prod at every action and decision that someone else makes. There are some women who do not behave as such but those women are rare, the majority revert to the above once they get comfortable. |

Nnemuka: somethings keep me wondering how a man can be successful and still goes home to an empty house.
Many Bachelors in their 40's and late 30's even 50's, very successful feel ok going back to an empty house after a day's hardwork. No woman to share your joys and happiness, no children to welcome you with kisses and childish rants, nobody to share your sad moments with.
some men shaa.... Do these category of men sleep well at night? There is a flip side to everything you just said. It can be summarized thus: There is no one to disturb his peace when he gets home. |

Raymondenyi: When I see people saying the problem with Nigeria is its leaders, I laugh hard; I use to harbour that thought, till I came of age to realise, the problem of the country are it's people; everybody sees their service in government as an opportunity to loot it dry (with the popular mantra "Government property no be my papa own" , and show superiority to others less fortunate ; this is reflected in the attitude of our security agents ; that can kill for defaulting in your N100 pledge, the directors in various government parastatals that U must give them very good percentages, before ur contract is approved, not minding whether the Job is done or not.
A country where someone that served in government and still lives a modest live, is treated with scorn and disdain, he is abused and called a disgrace, for not enriching himself, while the ones that steal billions and is probed by antigraft agencies, is hailed to the high heavens and has so many "loyal boiz" that can die for him.. he is adorned... and u all expect the country to thrive?
Look; The leaders are only a reflection of Us ; We re our own problem , we re all depleted in morals and values, we no longer know what the right things are...
Poverty everywhere, all our young boiz, are turning to touts, our young girls turning to prostitutes (especially students) and we don't even know; it is a pitty... the country is all heading for doom... I stand behind buhari and pray he achieves his magical Nigeria
For car owners, pls check my signature, save cost, and save ur cars. Nigerian leaders are typically raised by Nigerian parents; attend Nigerian schools; attend Nigerian universities; and keep company with other Nigerians. That some people refuse to see that the problem is the culture is the biggest issue that I have. Until people can identify the right problem how can they be expected to find the correct solution? |
