Of all the things that I've seen/heard of pastors doing this is minor.
Politics › Re: Osinbajo: Nigeria Needs Responsible Political, Religious Leaders by mmsen: 2:41pm On Nov 13, 2021
There's no such thing as a responsible religious leader. If you peddle in lies and superstition you are irresponsible by default.

Stupidity personified.

Who remembers when Aisha Buhari gave a speech in Buenos Aires about early marriage? Why was she not in the street in Kano giving such speeches?

if FCMB closes your account you should be grateful.

They are not a bank, rather they are a time wasting, stress generating organizaion.

JOemmy:
I really love akara a lot how I wish someone can make it more popular by finding a way to make more marketable internationally.
They eat akara in Brazil and Brazilian restaurants in other parts of the world serve it but you're right it should be a lot more popular. Akara is one of Nigeria's top 5 creations.

It's NOW that they realize that is embarrassing having done nothing about it for decades?

I hope there is action behind these words but I won't hold my breath.

My brother I have been to several airports in at least four different continents and I have never seen anything where as corrupt as Lagos.

It is either the family member of the guy you quoted or himself works in that airport or maybe he has never used the airport in his entire life.

Some people only go through Abj Airport and they have no clue what is obtainable in Lagos airport.

Personally I have never given anyone 1 kobo in that airport for over 10 years that I have been using it. Me I go frown my face die you can see me dressing flashy anywhere near that airport ooh.
The problem with Murtala Muhammad isn't just the blatant corruption but that it's a disorganized mess. It's the worst international airport that I've ever passed through.

Cousin9999:
Why would anyone pay attention to what an American oyinbo has to say about life in Africa? You can't be serious.
Sadly what he says is true.

He isn't the first person to experience such nonsense.

It really says much about a country when their first encounter is a crooked immigration official.

It's funny that OP says 'no African countries' when they would be the best bet for his budget.

Nicotine is addictive and very few smokers actually know they are hooked until they start having perforated lungs
You need to smoke in order to get addicted so why do people even open the packet after seeing those images?

Adoption needs to be legalise in Nigeria with the process made easy.
Nobody will like to commit murder, if he/she knows that, someone is out there to take over the responsibility.
Abortion needs to be legalized.

Most Nigerians are too irresponsible to be trusted with children.

Business › Re: Why Are Nigerian Banks Not Using The Credit Card System Like Other Countries? by mmsen: 11:35am On Oct 29, 2021
UncleAyo:
Why is Nigeria not using the credit card system? Are Nigerians less human?

There is also mobile checking in other countries where you can use a mobile phone to cash a check by just taking the picture of the check.
Who is still using cheques in 2021?

That's an archaic way of sending money.

People send money electronically, no need for cheques.

I received the email about it today but I don’t see the need for it because these foreign platforms are way more popular and are accepted by freelancing websites. If they’re smart they would partner with them because some of those platforms don’t allow direct withdrawals into Nigerian accounts. PayPal for example.
Paypal are thieves.

No oversight. No accountability, of course chaos will reign.

Nigerian authorities are forever displeased by the truth.

Rather than tackle the issues they go around trying to silence those speak truth at home or write nonsense in response to those from abroad.

Why not fix the damn problem? Is it because dishonesty and shortsightedness are embedded in the culture?

Politics › Re: Snubbed By Tinubu In London, Osinbajo Ready For Presidential Fight Of His Life by mmsen: 8:28am On Oct 24, 2021
seunmsg:
Tinubu and Osinbajo are qualified to be president. They both have the rights to legitimately aspire to be president. We are in a democracy and a healthy political contest should be encouraged. They can both contest for the ticket of APC and whoever emerged from the contest should be supported at the general election.
It will come down to who can throw the most money around and not who has the the characteristics to steer right an errant ship.

Which means Nigeria will again be saddled with a sickly president.
Politics › Re: Snubbed By Tinubu In London, Osinbajo Ready For Presidential Fight Of His Life by mmsen: 8:26am On Oct 24, 2021
Osinbajo is the president that Nigeria needs.

Tinubu is the president that Nigerians deserve... tongue

The Igbos are just so funny.

Under GEJ, they were enjoying One Nigeria, there was no scream of restructuring from them... Immediately GMB became the president, they immediately fell in love with Biafla
There have been people calling for Biafra since before I was born.

Also, things are worse under GMB than they have ever been. It shouldn't surprise anyone that many people want to see the country splinter.
