Dollyak: You don't have to be a Muslim to see that this is a legitimate protest. Defending an adoption of western culture i.e Lawyers wig, rope and dressings, while criticizing an Islamic dress is a master piece of hypocrisy. stopping the lady from being called to bar, though unfair, was very valid. the focus now should be to modify the dress code to remove the head covering clause and allow for hijabs and the likes as the clause is useless and adds no value. Note that this also affects catholic sisters and nuns so it is more than just Islamic interests here |

pocohantas: There are lots of responsible guys around. It's the ones whose pricks work overtime that are spoiling the image of the good ones. I have a friend like that, highly self-controlled guy. I have also met the one who seems so sinister...like he could snuff life outta me in a second.
She should be careful how she drinks though. Lest she runs outta luck.
Beht how can you bathe someone without 'touching' her? @ the bolded. It is possible. I have showered with a lady and she didnt want me to touch her. however in this case above, the guy could be accused of sexual harassment in some countries except she had agreed that he takes her to his house. a girl was drunk and you took her to your house, took off her clothes, showered her etc. it is not entirely a clean slate for him. |

Does that not confirm what we have been saying for the past half a decade --- he is clueless, liverless and he was the Chairman of looters of our treasury. it only confirms the first two |

Ain't it an award for individual brilliance?
It irks Me when Madrid/Penaldo fans mention trophies when discussing ballon d'or. actually this started during the 2011 (or was it 2012) season when messi was given the award because barca won the champions league despite ronaldo having made more individual contributions |
Romance › Re: How Can I Break Up With My Girlfriend Without Leaving Her Heart Broken. by monex(m): 4:19pm On Dec 07, 2017 |
Taniaa: Many people say they don't want to hurt another person and tiptoeing around the situation can do more harm than help-don't tiptoe, be decisive. It is an action to avoid as much repercussion as possible, don't be too soft in the break up, but don't be insensitive. Speak the truth but not the whole truth. You don't need to tell her her flaws, etc. Let her know how you feel about the relationship and that the action you're taking is best for the both of you. Be honest, open, and sincere.Wish for the best and prepare for the worst and behave cordially. Best advise so far. She will get over the hurt. Time heals all. be decisive but not insensitive. I have broken up with someone i felt the world would crash on her. I even cried and nearly thought of not breaking up with her again. At the end I did it. She cried her hearts out. Cursed me etc. but got over it and we are friends now. She apologized for the curses and told me it was an emotional response. |

ArchangeLucifer: Slay queens strike again.
I won't say anything this time.
Fuvk it, I MUST say something.
These women have long hidden under the "weaker sex" tag as I have always said.
We are equals. Men are not stronger than them.
They should not be treated lightly.
I'm still wondering how far someone will provoke me before I decide to disfigure him/her for life.
Its no coincidence that women are rarely given prominent / controlling positions worldwide regardless of race, or religion. Even when they are in power, adequate measures are taken to ensure they do not fall out of control.
This is not discrimination. This is because it is FACT that women are known to act irrationally & almost always abuse the authority bestowed upon them to intimidate others.
Every religion relegates women to the background. Its not a Christian or Islam or Buddha thing. Its nature.
Women reason emotionally instead of logically.
If women were running the world, we would have gone extinct by now from nuclear wars.
How many women can withstand insults, provocations and even mild assault from the opposition and still stay calm like the Obamas, Trumps, Putins & Kims? They would have erupted in emotional rage and blown this fragile planet away without thinking of the repercussions. this is one of the worst stereotypes i have read about. Worse than the stereotyping of blacks as sub-humans |

Your body shouldn't define you. Be proud of every curve body shaming is on the rise with social media. Unfortunately both genders are guilty of shaming themselves and the other gender. |

doseni: I really do not understand why this tithe issue is a problem, those that pay tithe, do so out of their personal conviction, so why the noise? I pay my tithes and have no regret whatsoever doing so. It's a personal decision, no one is forcing you to pay or not to pay. many churches teach that it is a sin not to pay tithes |
Christianity Etc › Re: Daddy Freeze Reacts To Ashimolowo's Allegations: "I Didn't Beat My Ex-Wife" by monex(m): 2:31pm On Dec 03, 2017 |
xtivin: Tithing is not for carnal minds. And it sounds stupid but spiritually wise. There is a covenant in where you put your money for spiritual purpose. Pay to satan and loose the rest, give to God (the church) and have plenty.this is a spiritual wisdom. But the truth is pastors should not emphasize on 10 percent but the more you give the plenty you have. you understand giving/charity is a virtue and what reward would be more than the gift of heaven? there are normal laws of nature. Those who till the soil will reap the fruits thereof whether they pay tithes or not. the rain will fall on the farms of both believers and unbelievers. The believers primary reward is not here on earth but is eternal communion with God hereafter. |

Christianity Etc › Re: What Is Your Take On Harvest And Bazaar? by monex(m): 10:07am On Dec 03, 2017 |
shumuel: hmm, true but up to today there is ever buying and selling in every church; if you do not buy Spiritual books, you would buy bulletins, buy Anointing oil or Handkerchief, or Convenant Stickers, Snacks and Drinks e.t.c and all churches today are guilty of these, so why condemn one without nullifying the rest ? indeed and why i find the catholic bazaar to be ok is the honesty in it. It is more like a fundraiser for a noble cause where you know you are paying more than the real value for a product because the remainder goes to support the church. and then it continues in the spirit of the first type of tithing (the one where you bring your fruits to the house and eat and drink it together). |

You said so they can talk better, can you reason with that kind of woman at that particular time? I don't think so. It was very wrong for her to slap him, but he was trying to do the right thing at the wrong time in the wrong way, and she got angrier. Please don't try to 'reason' with any woman that gets angry like that at that particular time to avoid stories that touch. Let her calm down on her own before you even approach her. We have different types of women, as there are different types of men too, the sooner we accept that, the better for everyone. well dude dodged a bullet. He should move on. Romance › Re: 'Rape & Beg': UnilagOlodo Who Was Accused Of Rape Takes Legal Action (Photos) by monex(m): 7:29pm On Nov 29, 2017 |
ivolt: No, this particular case is different, she explicitly told him she wants no sex before visiting which he agreed to. A struggle is not needed to prove a lack of consent, there are some scenario where struggling will be foolish or impossible, any unwilling partner is simply not interested and any man who proceeds in such a situation is doing so at his own peril. It is disingenuous of some people to suggest that she didn't mean her "no".
Remember the guy is not on trial, even if he is, he would never be convicted solely based on the victim's testimony.
The court cannot conclusively determine whether a rape took place in this case because a lot of time has passed. The question now is whether the victim has a right to tell her story.
Laws can't prevent crime from happening in the first place but it can punish offenders. Just read the alleged victims post. I hadn't read it before. What she described there is rape. So if what she says is true, the guy is guilty of rape |
