A chieftain of the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), Senator Bode Ola, says no fewer than 8,000 members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti have defected to the PDP in the last couple of weeks.

Ola, who represented Ekiti Central Senatorial District, told newsmen on Thursday in Ado-Ekiti that members of the APC have been defecting to the PDP since the victory of Ayodele Fayose in the 21 June governorship election in the state.

The former lawmaker, who also defected to the PDP three months ago, said: “I can confirm to you that people keep coming to me almost on daily basis to signify their interest to follow me to PDP.
“This is because they knew I served them well while in the Senate and also trusted that Fayose who I am supporting is a reliable person.

“When the righteous is in authority like it is in the case with Fayose, the people rejoice and want to identify with you probably because they know we have better programmes for them in PDP.”

Ola said the defectors were from Ado, Ijero, Ekiti West, Efon and Irepodun/Ifelodun, all in Ekiti Central Senatorial District.

Following the impeachment notice
served on the Nasarawa State
governor, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura by
the state Assembly, the embattled
state chief executive hurriedly left
Lafia, the state capital yesterday for
Abuja in an effort to prevail on
President Goodluck Jonathan to
intervene in the matter.
LEADERSHIP reports that, Al-Makura
before leaving the state capital at
about 4p.m. had held series of
meetings with his aides and party
officials intent upon seeing how the
impeachment impasse can be
surmounted.
Addressing the press at Shendam
Road Assembly complex however, the
clerk of the Assembly, Mr. Ego
Maikeffi, disclosed that after several
attempts to serve the impeachment
notice on the governor, he was denied
access into the Government House.
Ego stated further that in line with the
directive of the Speaker, he is set to
serve the notice through the media
today.
The House Committee chairman on
information and security, Hon.
Mohammed Baba Ibaku, confirmed
the development saying other options
of serving the notice would be
explored.
In a swift reaction however, the
Senior Special Assistant to the
governor on Public Affairs, Hon.
Abdulhamid Kwarra, denied the report
insisting that the Assembly was yet
to serve the notice as a 6pm
yesterday.
Speaking on the unfolding scenario,
the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of
the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)
Mr. Mark Neto said the state
Assembly would be doing a
disservice to the state if they had a
catalogue of such gross misconduct
and refused to take action.
Mr. Neto who noted that the PDP
hierarchy in the state would have
preferred the party to slug it out with
Al-Makura at the poll but regretted
however that “posterity would not be
fair to the members if they gloss over
such grievous misconduct”. He
denied that the PDP embarked upon
impeachment because it was afraid
to face Al-Makura at the polls.
The immediate past state chairman
of the All Progressives Congress
(APC), Mr. Stanley Buba, on his part
called on Governor Al-Makura to
address the allegations levelled
against him promptly, saying that the
Assembly was only discharging its
constitutional duty.
LEADERSHIP reports that before Al-
Makura left for Abuja, notable
traditional rulers in the state had
converged at the guest house of the
Emir of Lafia, Alhaji Isa Mustapha
Agwai l, with a view to seeking their
intervention on the matter.
Informed sources also disclosed that
a high-powered delegation of
traditional rulers and other respected
stakeholders in the state were
expected to join Al-Makura in Abuja
today so as to solicit President
Jonathan’s intervention.

The last batch of the last training school graduates who were based in Lagos and were waiting to be posted since November last year, were finally posted out to various UBA branches in Lagos last week. Those who came from outside Lagos have since been posted late last year to various UBA branches in the various regions they came from. It was the issue of posting some of the last remaining batch from Lagos region that was one of the numerous reasons they had delayed the resumption of training school for BSC graduates.
Right now plans are already in top gear at UBA House Marina to start Inviting guys for the first training school of YEAR 2014. You will be invited according to how early you did your medicals. The first training school is starting with guys who had medicals from 10th September, 11th September and Maybe 12th September.
Just Believe, Good news is on the way !!!

The HR guy Chima said it was a mix up, he said if we have done the medicals, we should ignore the new sms, also Training school for BSC graduates will resume in January but the specific date wasn't given
, I suspect two weeks time, invites through SMS should start going out by mid next week hopefully.

what's up with this UBA peeps, they just sent SMS to me and some other guys who had medicals last year September asking us to come for medical tomorrow at UBA HOUSE Marina , but we already had medicals on the 10th of September 2013.
why are they sending SMS to those of us who already had medical on the 10th of September to come to UBA house marina for medicals tomorrow 3rd of January , by now we ought to be getting SMS notifying us to resume TRAINING SCHOOL,are they mixing up our batch with other batches who haven't undergone medicals.

Don't bother your self asking anybody here on this thread what your score in the workforce test is, cos this is not JAMB, or GCE where your score is announced, so try and ignore those coming up here to lie they saw their scores, No score results was released to any candidate either by Nigerian Breweries or Workforce, the scores of candidates is a confidential matter between Nigerian Breweries and Workforce and not with the candidates, if you were successful you would be invited for the driving test, if you weren't you will be sent a mail to notify you, for those who haven't been contacted, before the end of the first quarter of 2014, they will be notified whether they didn't pass or they will get invite for the driving test depending on whether Nigerian Breweries is satisfied with the progress rate of the several recruitment stages that those who have done the driving test would have undergone by early next year.

Before he got his txt, he already knew that he got 40 percent and culd not go futher and he was told if had got 50%, he would have been sucessful. U are liar, ur information are false, stop spreading false information and giving people false hope, pass mark for tests conducted by workforce for Nigerian Breweries n other organization is between 60-70%, I have a relative working with workforce, don't say what u don't know, last year Nigerian Breweries management trainee test pass mark was 70%, this year sales executive test pass mark was still put at 70%,there is however possibility of those who scored below 70% but not less than 60% will be called later, that is if and only the a large number of the 70% and above successful candidates have not been able to scale through either the driving stage,or interview stage or medical stage, a situation like this occurred in the Nigerian Breweries sales executive recruitment exercise In the year 2011.

Peeps in Lagos just chill, the emails are being sent out batch by batch, the are splitting the driving tests to different states Co's the A4 driving Centres in IKEA GRA n Lekki can not conduct driving test for over 500 successful candidates, so they sending invites batch by batch.
According to an insider the results and list of Successful candidates were officially forwarded to the HR department of NIGERIAN Breweries yesterday from Workforce.
For now they are doing sorting, batch by batch.
For now we don't Know how they intend to categorize the successful candidates for driving test, but all is well.
