even in a govenment that multitasks, priorties, pespective and proportion are set. I can bet you even the most corrupt and wicked in our society will queue up to mistreat this person. What a country |
@Sagamite, the 3 ppp's (Proportion, pespective and priority), please understand those before you start insulting people who disagree with you |
@Udezue, Well done my brother. I have been trying make our bro Sagamire understand we are rasing dust over an issue not as pressing as others. @Sagamite, like u said there are laws of the land that take care of things like these, why all the sweating? But more importantly, what are you guys doing about the thieving politician and bankers walk free? have they not damaged more lives than Chika and his Oga? Please let us focus on that which should deserve higher priority |
Shocking. I have never trusted that Omo-Agege man. he has always been part of the Ibori empire |
So true. The country is awash with thieves, funny enough we might find that the politicians are even better, some even chop and remain for others, while the average Nigerian will chop and even deprive thier mothers of scraps. |
@Sagamite, The fact that I dont support your idea of purnishing those who have differning sexual orientation from us, does not make my arugument illogical. My view of Nigeria is that we have more pressing issues at hand that running after some chap and his boyfriend. What would you prescribe the Nigerian government and Nigerians do in this situation? |
@Sagamite, Learn how to argue with our resorting to words like silly, it tells a lot about you. By the way I see you live in the UK where those with differing views than you are allowed to live free of caustic words like oyurs, if you are so anti whoever why dont you retrun back to Nigeria where you can practice your belief fully and probably build yourself an army of haters |
@Sagamite, A young man coming back to Nigeria with partner is not as big an issue as that which plagues us right now "corruption", and like I keep saying, this is not a problem as Nigeria as a society would naturally take care of if. Funny enough, there might already be loads of people who fit your description that coming into nigeria everyday. So how many of those enlightened Nigerians have actually pressed for corrupted politicians to be tried and jailed? How many? Most would shut their mouth up, not wanting to face up to the threat that comes with tackling this issue |
Beaf:@Beaf No one is encouraging anyone, so dont tow that line. Simple question, what have we done to the people who have held the enitre country hostage with bad government and killed people in the process? Do we consider those with different sexual preference that us worse than the Politicians who have fhucked Nigerians from every hole possible? And I repeat, this is not about encouraging anything, but taking a measured pespective on things |
@ekt_bear, I understand where u are. Most people hate the person and the act, rather than the act alone. Why are people not picking up arms to beat the politicians who steal from them daily, cause them so much grief, even kills them? No we are prepared to forgive these same people, but attack those, who really are weak. Infact I see the Nigerian position as One of Cowards. |
@Sagamite, I understand you very well. But I dont accept this is the most pressing problem in Nigeria, Infact I dont see it as a problem, Simply because I know that what you are scared off will not happen in Nigeria, The society just doesnt permit it. So I would rather channel my energy to that which would change lives, and that is a functioning well run government that affects everybodys lives positively |
@Sagamite, We are not talking about bringing things into law. No we are altking about putting things in the right pespective. Dont forget that the UK you so refer to where far better in the 50's and 60's that Nigeria is in 2011. Now which mattes most to you. So guy doing his thing, or a government not performing, stealing from its people and maltreating them? Should we also be worries about those who fire their women through the Nyash, after all that is not Nigerian either is it? Let us get things in pespective. The chances of Chika and his mate succeeding in Nigeria or Africa in general is very remote and you know that |
@Sagamite, You got it all wrong. @ekt_bear, You got it right my bro. Chika's issue is not the most serious we have in this country and should be treated as such. There is no chance that sort of lifestyle would take hold in Nigeria and we know that, so why the hysteria. We spend our time on very small issues, while ignoring the serious ones. Chika's issue has no bearing on the economy of our country or services |
When SR were reporting on Ibori, some Nyash lickers were in full support, now that it is Jonathan, SR has become unreliable. Hypocrisy, the root of Nigeria's troubles |
Jonathan really needs to get a grip on the security situation in that country. This is so bad, it could have been anyone |
dont we have more serious problems in Nigeria to be worrying about Chika and his Man. In the grand scheme of things, this is way down the line of importance, and Nigerians should chanel thier energy into seeking and achieving good governance and functioning public services. Chika's actions hurt no one but himself, corrupt and faile government affects everyone. |
SR is consider unreliable when it reports on anything to do with Goddy, but relaibale when it tells us how Ibori is doing in Jete. The average Nigerian will make excuses for anything |
@Pharoh, It all depends on who's version you believe. In a country where our politicians have constantly lied and stolen from us, I know which side my ears are bent to |
enyojo has a point, how much of the reduction actually affects the salaris they are paid? Lets not forget that each of these people earn enough each month to pay 878 people the minimum wage, that is if Greedy wicked governors will ever let that happen. How can that be right, in any same society how can that be right For now, I will give Goody a little part on the back |
Thye seem to be the only one exposing things and pushing the boudaries. The typical Nigerian is quite content to sit and have them shiet on him or her rather than do something about it. Those who dont like the truth call thier work fake. Well done to them |
What is wrong with all these governors, even the meager 18k naira, they plan to withhold. This is just evil. What is 18k compared to 15.8million a senator receives a month. work out how many people you will be able to pay the minumum wage a month? yep, you got it right. A senators salary will pay 878 peoples wages every month. Now were is the fairness in this? |
BY VICTOR AHIUMA-YOUNG ABUJA — LEADERS of Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, yesterday in Abuja, said they had uncover plot by unwilling governors to scuttle the implementation of the N18,000 new minimum wage, even as they asked such governors to quit instead of disobeying the law of the land. Addressing journalists at the end of their National Executive Council, NEC, meeting, President of NLC, Comrade Abdulwaheed Omar, claimed that unwilling governors were putting pressures on willing governors not to implement the new wage in order not put them in trouble. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2011/05/unwilling-govs-plotting-to-scuttle-new-minimum-wage-nlc/ |
Well, for those who doubt SR, they have thrown a firm challenge to the government and I pray they respond. For those who keep slating SR, in every developed country, the press play a key role in keeping the government in check. We must laud SR for what they do, no other media house come close. Most are content to lick Nyash and publish nonsense, praising devils |
We Challenge The Jonathan Government To Tell Us: "What Is The Full Cost Of Jonathan’s Presidential Inauguration?" On May 22, we published a report that the federal government was set to squander an incredible N5 billion (about $32 million) on next Sunday’s inauguration of Mr. Goodluck Jonathan as president. Our story was penned in the best interests of Nigeria. As evidence of this commitment, we are taking issue with yesterday’s announcement, by Mr. Yayale Ahmed, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) who also chairs the Presidential Inauguration Committee (PIC), that the event will consume N1 billion. Now, N1billion is no small change. N1 billion, properly and responsibly deployed, can change the fortunes of several communities and institutions in Nigeria. There is tremendous constructive power, therefore, in N1 billion. If that were all that the government budgeted for the inauguration, it should raise concerns. An inauguration, in the end, is neither the government nor governance: it is an oath-taking ceremony in which photos are taken and speeches may be made. It is a dignified ceremony, but does not have to be an obscenely expensive one. http://www.saharareporters.com/news-page/sr-speaks-we-challenge-jonathan-government-tell-us-what-full-cost-jonathan%E2%80%99s-presidential- |
@jensinmi, Well lets not forget that innicent citizens are often caught up in this madness. Have we forgottne about Uzoma Okere, who was beaten and stripped before our eyes? There is just no law and order in the Land. Armed robbers , walking free corrupt politicians, walking free rogue bankers, walking free Political thugs, walking free hired assassins, walking free kidnappers, walking free rascal soja, walking free Only in wild wild west Nigeria |
I remember things like this happening in Warri in the 80's. It used to be Mobile Policemen Vs Army, both used to have a good share of casualties, but this is a shame. Truly there is no security or safety in the country. Let not forget these are not much different from the massive violence during elections and the wicked killings. Oga Presido need to tackle security as a matter of urgency |
These are all Ikebe Super, Papa Ajasco stories. NL is full of them. Man os 45 runs away with woman of 45, leavse wife and children to suffer |
Maybe Ayo should use his tongue to count his teeth, after all it is his brother wrecking Delta state, I wonder what he has told him. He should Shut the Fhuck up |
@Poster, where is the guarantee the grass will be greener on the other side. I wonder how you would have felt if your wife was having and affair with another man or woman and came to feed you this crap. Behave yourself, drop this rubbish and got back to your wife and kids |
I keep arguing that the people who should be held responsible are the likes of Ibori and Co. Federal goverment gave the ND region money for development, but what happened. I dont believe in this sending people abroad for unmerited training. would it not have been more beneficial to setup and proper institue or college of technology that would benefit all from the region? Would enhancing the Petroleum training institute and the likes have not served better purpose? For how long are we going to be wasting money in this way? Same old govement with no clue. And before people start shouting, I am from the ND region, and I dont support this rubbish |
@Papabrowne, Yes, Nigeria is virgin ground for brave investors, but the risks are high. There are mulit-nationals who have very strict corporate policy which do not condone bribery, these companies would struggle in the nigerian market. Funny enough, yes ago I used to work for one them. these guys were good at what they do, infact their reputation and quality meant that 95% of those in thier sector used some sort of service from them, but they lost 90% of thier business to a competitor in the market, who was well known to play the Nigerian game. If you ask the blue chips companies, they would state issues like these as factors. and like one rightfully said, those who somehow venture in take advantage of the conditions there to the disadvantage of the masses. I know people who pay in excess of 50,000 Naira a month on mobile phone calls. funny enough, even the busiest business man in the Uk will struggle to spend £200 a month on calls. |
