BY Emma Arubi WARRI — THE National and State Assembly Election Petitions Tribunal sitting at Asaba, has ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to produce for forensic inspection, all polling documents used during the just concluded National Assembly polls in Delta South Senatorial district and the Warri Federal constituency of Delta State. The order which was sequel to a motion ex-parte by Mr. A. Oriakhi on behalf of Mrs. Temi Harriman of the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN and Omasan Agbajor of the Democratic Peoples Party, DPP, as petitioners, has Senator James Manager, Mr Daniel Reyenieju, PDP and Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, as respondents. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2011/06/election-tribunal-orders-inec-to-produce-polls-material-for-forensic-inspection/ |
Tough one, but I hope it ends well |
karpenter:You make a very big point. We still do not why she strayed. potentially sex with her husbadn may never be the same again, can you imagine what would be going through her head. |
~Minx~:Out of interest, why have you decide now that you want this marriage and your husband? |
Ah, the provebial "everyone wants to go to heaven, but no one wants to do what it takes". Tough, our actions have consequences. Society tells us today that we can do wrong, and then find a back door into Right. It doesnt work that way |
tpia@:No, the government has made it difficult for foreign doctors to come and practice in Nigeria. Even those with top class experience and skills are asked to come and sit, in my opinion time wasting exams. Really is our health sector that fantastic that we want to test those who can contribute so much to our country. Anyway that is another issue. With regards to the pilots, well we dont know, but this is one of thebig reasons companies favour expats. Professionalism, to be honest our work ethics is far from top class |
@LadyT, I am convinced the poster already knows which way she wants to go, probably only came on here to get some sort of support for her decision. I think it is only fair that all possible outcomes are presented to her. I wonder what the advise would be when her husband find out from another source, because these things sure do have a way of coming out. Just last week we all read about Ryan Giggs having an affair with his brothers wife for 8yrs and guess what the borther found out through the press, not from the wife, but the british media. i wonder how that one will be sorted out |
@Paraphase, Simple question for you. Your wife is phucking Silas outside, would you rather hear it from the boys in the beer parlour or from you so called darling wife, or maybe your nosey neighbour who sees them sneaking in when you go off to toil at work. A: Beer parlour B: Wife C: Clara the neighbour who would never mind her business |
@Ajo Mmuo, Thank you. The whole thing is already so messed up, yet some are suggesting more lies and deceit and they hope at the end of that lies a successful happy marriage. A marriage built on lies and deceit will fail. Simple and short |
I think people are missing one crucial point here. We are all assuming that husband is a monster and is to blame, nobody has heard the other side of the story. It might change everything. Like I have maintained ultimately decision lies with Poster, she knows what drove her into her affair and why she wants her marriage back. |
paraphase:@parapahse, I really dont give a shiet what you think of my post. You can Fhuck your brothers wife and conceal it cos no one needs to know and everyone is happy |
Fhemmmy:She will forever live with this lie, and it is bound to eat her up. Her husband may never understand her behaviour. I think ronkebp got it right there, not quite sure about the favourite meal thing, it might end up on her face. but the fact remains that for her to begin a new, she needs to get rid of the guilt in her heart, and believe me if she does she might find that the journey may not be as difficult as we are all thinking it might be. Dont forget that we are told the husband screwed up as well, so his anger is likely to be short lived. but I wish her well |
Ultimately it is upto the poster to choose what ever course she wishes. Persoanlly I dont think healing can begin if lies still exist, and I would want to dreed the outcome if he ever found out, which remains a big possibility. Poster really needs to understand that this kind issue comes with its consequences, and most times there is no easy way out. Good luck |
Fhemmmy:So she doesnt tell him, then she starts living a lie, only for it to come out somewhere in the future, what happens then? |
I was out on a drinks break with work mate over christmas. Sat with us was a bloke introcuded to us as Stella's husband. we had been bearly drinking for about 20mins when John walks in and starts blabbing about how stella had been messing around with dave and got a good seeing to after the christmas dinner. John went on and on unaware that stellas husband was within out midst, we all held our faces in our hand, the embarrassment was just too much, finally someone had to pull John away and told him, but the deed had already been done. Stella's husband had arrive at the bar with flowers and good humour, we had known that they had been having problems, but I could tell that the office romance was not one her husband knew about. I can honestly say that was one of the awkward moments of my life. Whether we like it or not, the truth has a way of coming out |
Pukkah:The truth is that we are only hearing one side of the story, and it is easy for some to form an opinion without all the facts. That said I do not believe a fresh start is possible when the truth isnt out there. The poster, if sincere will forever feel guilty and will be living a lie. I wonder what the posters reaction would be if the husband hasnt been totally honest with the truth, only for her to find out way down the line that there was a child involved in her husbands affair which he concealed. |
That is not the way the justice system works in the UK guys. He had a maximum tarrif of 18yrs, would have been expected to serve half the time, so thats 9yrs, and was probably let out on license for good behaviour. So he is probably walking around with an electronic tag, and is being monitored, one false move and he is back in prison |
@Pukkah, This is not one of those situations where truth needs to be withheld unless requested. The union called marriage is based on love, truth and trust. I cannot see how telling the truth can help, after all the other party own up. No one should expect to be in this situation and hope for a jolly ride. The Virginity of the marriage has been broken, trying to find a back door in, is really no way to go about a fresh start Altimately the decision rests with the Poster |
@~Minx~, There is something about concealing information of this nature in a marriage that isnt good. You can not profess to earnestly seek change, if you are not prepared to come clean. Yes the risk exists that it might get worse, but I hate to think of what would happen if you dont tell him and he finds out, and believe me this things do come out one way or the other. I am not going to pass judgement on anyone, cos I am not in a position to, but if he has openned up and told you excatly what he has been up to, then I think you owe him the truth, no matter what. There is something about the truth setting one free, you might be surprised of what the outcome might be |
@IyaBasira, I think it is unfair to take a stand without hearing the other side of the story, and we may never. Infidelity in marriage is a serious issue, and I dont believe in concealing these things. It has happend and both parties must face up to the consequence. That is the only way in my opinion that the root cause can be known at healing can begin |
Independent or state? makes very little difference if the Parents don't actually get involved in the schooling. Whilst there are benefts of both systems, it it really different strokes for different folks. Some of the best Primary and secondary schools happen to be faith based state schools |
@Pukkah, Yes it is a gamble, but this is the likely price of being involved in such wrong. We cannot expect to have things our own way, most times there consequneces to our actions. Marriage is not easy, and except you have been through this sort of thing, you can never understand how you would react. And lest not forget we are only hearing one side of the story |
It is wrong for her to receive these sort of gift items from other men. Some poeple really do have very little understanding of the commitment called marriage |
@Poster, E no easy. I can't claim to understand why thsi happened in the first place, but I guess you have taken the right step by seeking helpful advise. Firstly you must tell your husband, you both owe yourselves the truth. Hopefully he would understand and it might be the start of a new begining for you both, But most importantly what were the reasons that made you marry him in the first place? why did you feel you needed to have an affair? these are questions only you have the answers to. Anyone who says there are no pressures in marriage is not being real, but success is all about commitment |
@Rasputinn, Quick question, why did the parties preferred choices not win? Should PDP not be providing answers to that? were these guys not legitimately and freely selected? |
Another craziness from those who should be protecting us. Is there really excuse for this madness. This must be investigated and the naval officer tried, if guilty must face the purnishment. We must start learning to claim our rights |
Angry Naval Rating allegedly beats carpenter to death over unfinished cupboard THERE is no thawing yet in the frosty relationship between officers and ratings of the Nigerian Navy and their civilian host communities in Benue State. Rather, it is getting colder. It has been a cat-and-mouse kind of existence – the Naval personnel being the cats while the civilians around them are the mice. The relationship is dogged by one incident after another, of civilians being harassed, intimidated, beaten up, maimed so much so that members of the public are beginning to question loudly enough what the Navy are doing in the state. The physical assaults have become so common they hardly make news anymore. http://www.ngrguardiannews.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=50687:the-carpenter-gets-nailed-into-a-coffin&catid=3:metro&Itemid=558 |
@Rasputinn, I am not suggesting such, but where is the transparency and fairness to all, or is the speaker only going to be a speaker for the PDP party and no one else. . This public show is really not good for our democracy. Nigeria is really being held @ gun-point |
Is this incompetence at the highest level or what. The governor does not have an idea of what is going on financially in the state? what a big joke He has spent 4yrs and doesnt have clue. Well Deltans voted him in |
DELTA State Governor, Emmanuel Uduaghan, has directed banks operating in the state to furnish him with detailed information on all bank accounts opened by the state’s ministries, parastatals and other government agencies. Uduaghan, who gave the directive during a meeting with regional and bank managers in Asaba, said the statement of accounts should reach him latest by Monday, next week. He explained that the directive became imperative because some government agencies opened accounts without following the required guideline by seeking approval from the state accountant- general. The governor further explained that there was a standing government order which stipulated that no government ministry, parastatal or agency should open an account without clearance from the state accountant-general, adding that any account opened without following that procedure will run counter to that order. http://www.guardiannewsngr.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=50751:uduaghan-meets-bankers-orders-delta-accounts-audit&catid=1:national&Itemid=559 |
The innocent always seem to pay the price of our very bad government. This is just too wrong, why do we let the poor amongst us suffer so much |
Hundreds of residents of Akure burst into uncontrollable tears on Wednesday when 21 passengers, comprising five men, eight women and seven children were being deposited in the mortuary of the Ondo State Specialist Hospital, in the heart of the town. They died in a fatal auto accident that occurred at Ilaramokin town end of the Ilesha-Akure Expressway. The deceased included two pregnant women, seven underaged children and their parents who were going to Benue State from Lagos. The accident, according to eye witnesses, occurred around 6.30am involving a DAF Truck with number plate LAGOS XU 606 JJJ, going towards Lagos and a Mazda commercial bus with number plate XV 315 FST. The commercial bus had the inscription Obadigbo Local Government Area of Benue State on it. It was gathered that the accident occurred when the truck driver was trying to avoid a deep pothole on the highway; lost the control of the vehicle in the process and hit the bus. http://www.punchng.com/Articl.aspx?theartic=Art201106092242834 |
