PoliticsRe: Utomi Quits Presidential Race by monkeyleg: 6:21pm On Mar 30, 2011
A real shame. We never value the best amongst us that is the Nigerian way.

@Ezeuche, you and I know you are voting on tribal lines, there is nothing entirely wrong with that, but, we must remember that has the potential to blank our ability to pick the best candidate based on merit.

I once started a thread about Nigerians being politically lazy. Well there you have it, most would say that he is the best candidate, but most would not support him. Most would want change, but are not prepared to do that which would bring change.
The funny thing is that, this is not an entirely PU thing, Look at our celebrated personalities, Soyinka for one, they get more recognition abroad than @ home. Same goes with Chinua Achebe, even talents like Okonjo Iweala. We just don’t have a history of supporting the very best amongst us. Yet we cry when the worst amongst us put us through the mill.
Anyway, saying always goes, you get what you deserve

PoliticsRe: . . . . . . And The President Lied! by monkeyleg: 9:44pm On Mar 28, 2011
Shocking shocked absolutely SHOCKING. Scandelous. I wonder what other wolrd leaders would think of our president, making false claims in his book? Is this how we are going to rebrand and clean up our act?

Anyway, I am not surprised, his best friend and fellow PDP crook Governor, was busy deceiving Deltans that Asaba airport is open for business, so I would say I am surprised. It is in the PDP blood
PoliticsRe: . . . . . . And The President Lied! by monkeyleg: 6:44pm On Mar 28, 2011

PoliticsRe: Jonathan's Facebook "friends" Critical Of His Unkept Pledges by monkeyleg: 6:16pm On Mar 28, 2011
Na today. The lies are begining to emerge. PDP is a boiling pot of lies, deceit and evil. For those who blindly follow, shine your eyes
PoliticsJonathan's Facebook "friends" Critical Of His Unkept Pledges by monkeyleg(op): 1:34pm On Mar 28, 2011
Even those he calls friends on facebook are begining to see the light.

Please read
Two separate “Facebook” friends of President Goodluck Jonathan have disputed claims by Mr. Jonathan that his office promptly contacted them to discuss their ideas for solving some of Nigeria’s intractable problems.

One set of Nigerian students based in Finland said they were shocked to learn that Mr. Jonathan prominently used their names in his book based on exchanges on the president’s fan page. In the book, the president acclaimed the students, Dipo Daramola, Oladeji Ikuesan and Adewale Adeyemo for proposing ways of combating crime in Nigeria.

The Finland-based students Dipo Daramola, Oladeji Ikuesan and Adewale Adeyemo stated that there was no contact whatsoever from Mr. Jonathan’s office to further discuss their proposal on how to address the nation’s kidnap crisis.

One of them said they felt “used and dumped by the president to promote his Facebook activities.”

I am Igbo Christian and yes my family and I support Buhari
PoliticsRe: Muhammad Buhari Watched The Match Seated In The Abuja National Stadium by monkeyleg: 11:37am On Mar 28, 2011
I dont get our people most times. This man has simply gone to watch football match, and all he gets is abuse. Why not direct your anger at oga who is spending our money entertaining all and sundry.

This same rubbish happend in Delta state. A rogue governor deceives the people by having a deceptive first land @ the Asaba airport, and you wont believe we actually found supporters who thougt what he did was a good thing.

It is clear to me that we have a massive fight between forces of evil and good. Choose which side you belong to. The elections are here.

@Ezeuche,

I am from the South as well, and yes it would be nice to have one of our own up there, but I am not convinced Goodluck is the best we can produce. That said, the President of Nigeria is not for regions only, but for the entire country. I know past leaders (including governors), who have not brought any good to their people. So your theory doesnt actually work. Are we not the same people crying about zoning? are we not now guilty of the same thing we accuse PDP of? Should the presidency not be all inclusive?

I am from the South, and in this stage of our democracy we should start learning to keep tribes and zones in the back burner, and select our leaders based on performance not on sentiments and tribal lines.
PoliticsRe: Scam: Delta State Gov Commissions Uncompleted Airport: See Pics by monkeyleg: 5:59pm On Mar 27, 2011
@Rasputinn,

We cannot absolve PDP from the ongoings in Delta state. After all they agreed to have a known thief like Uduaghan as their flag bearer. It is never heard of that a party does not like a candidate, but yet put him forward as he who should carry the touch. if the members of delta state pdp are so fed up, they should decamp. There are other parties in the state, it is common practice in other states.
So my brother I am afraid they share the responsibility for failure too.

It is clear to everyone, now that uduaghan is an embodiment of lies, deceit and crookery. No good can ever come from him, we must ensure he is kicked out come april.

$285million spent and this is the rubbish we get. Vote wisely
