There are 3 Sports Channels viz:
SUPERSPORTS 7 (Shows EPL live and delayed matches, as well as other sports)
SUPERSPROTS 9 (League matches across African and repeat broadcast of EPL, Bundesliga matches etc)
SUPERSPORTS BLITZ (Highlight of past matches and general sports news)
SUPERSPROTS 3 (Removed. Now displays: "this content needs to be purchased before viewing". It is the
only place one can watch EPL STAR MATCHES. SS7 usually shows "lowly rated matches"wink.

Other Channels are:
CNN, Movie Magic World, Africa Magic, Channel O, Cartoon Network, TBN (Christian), Sound City, NTA-Int'l, BBA (not showing for now).

Don't mind them. It is ANOTHER FRAUD from MTN! I am sure they can't try such nonsense in South Africa. Unfortunately, Nigeria is a country where 'anything goes'.

I wouldn't mind paying the subscription at any given time, provided SS3 is inclusive. The service cannot even be trusted. Mine has not worked since Friday 22/10/10. I have tried to RETRIEVE, RESCAN etc, all to no avail. I wish another network could come up with alternative offer.

Look at them, probably celebrating their capture of one of Biafra's strongholds.

41 years down the line, IBB wants us (Ndigbo) to believe that he will hand over to one of us after one term of four years in office. Ha ha! We all know his antecedents.

What really do you want us to tell you as your two options speak volumes of hypocrisy? Why did you not consider giving her a stern warning.

You had better stop this 'EXPENSIVE JOKE' with another man's wife before some evil spirits (hopefully from her husband's village) begin to hunt you.

Meanwhile, don't be surprise if someone (may be in your neighbourhood) is doing similar thing with your wifey. Such is called LAW OF RETRIBUTION, LAW OF KAMA or LAW OF HARVEST.

SportsCommonwealth Games 2010: Another Nigerian Athlete Fails Drugs Test by Mortiple(op): 12:03pm On Oct 15, 2010
Nigeria's Folashade Abugan has been stripped of her 400 metres silver medal at the Commonwealth Games after failing a drugs test.

Abugan becomes the third Nigerian to fail a drugs test at the New Delhi Games after 110m hurdler Samuel Okon and Damola Osayemi, who claimed gold in the women's 100m.

Abugan's A sample showed traces of testosterone prohormone, which is prohibited under the current World Anti-Doping Agency list and she subsequently waived the right to have her B sample analysed.

She forfeits her silver in the 400m and, as a member of her country's second-placed finish in the 4x400m relay, that result is also nullified.

The silver medal for the 400m will now be awarded to Aliann Tabitha Pompey of Guyana, with the bronze medal going to Christine Amertil of the Bahamas.

The chief beneficiaries in the 4x400m are England, who move up a spot to take the silver with the bronze going to Canada.

This story is exaggerated.

1. How can they claim to have achieved 70% success when the number one suspect - Osisi-Ka-Nkwu is yet to be apprehended?

2. By the way, where (as in town, village, forest or location) in particular did JTF engage kidnappers in gun duel (shoot out)?

3. That business houses re-opened shouldn't be the yardstick for measuring success.

President JEGA should be advised to stop talking; we already know these things. Good governance is like pregnancy that cannot be covered with hands; it publicizes itself. Enough of Facebook image-making. He should work and allow Nigerians on FB to pass comments.

This is not about IBB, President JEGA, Ribadu, Buhari, and/or others. You and I know that they are all products of same system as well as principal partners in corruption! They don't mean well for this country. Go to the North, South, East and West of Nigeria, there is abject poverty everywhere!

Let's stop playing politics with our future.

I represent Eziama-Obiato, Mbaitoli LGA, Imo State, the ONLY town wherein a palm-tree has three branches. cheesy (The town has 3 villages that is why we are called Obi-ato meaning three hamlets/villages and NOT three mind/heart, as some people erroneously think).

For many that are familiar with Onitsha-Owerri Road, it is the community that habours the popular Ukwuorji Bus Stop after Njaba-River Bridge. Interestingly, the 'little' community shares common boundaries with four local govt in Imo State - Akabo-Ejemekwuru in Uguta LGA, Awo-omamma in Oru LGA, Umuaka (Njaba LGA) and other Mbaitoli towns viz Afara and Umunoha.

It is important to note that Eziama-Obiato has no ancestral link with any other town, village or kindred that go by that name 'Eziama' in Igboland.

Sentiment apart, I totally agree with you.

GEJ is not different from IBB, Atiku, Buhari, Baba Iyabo, Yaradua (late), and the likes. He behaves, acts, lies, talks, looks, deceives, manipulates , like them. Nigeria politicians (including GEJ) have one common agenda - LOOTING.

Unfortunately, I will be constrained to vote for him, if the Presidential elections turns out to be a two-horse race (between him vs IBB).

The dude's name is: JOEL AGBONAVBARE.

He defeated an Indian wrestler in what I consider a great match-up. Wow! You can imagine what it means to defeat an opponent in front of his home crowd. Naija's never-say-die spirit was at play!

Unfortunately, another Nigerian by name Talaran Mamman lost to an Australian in a Gold medal match.

Earnestly, Nigeria has great potentials in virtually everything including sports to be a first-world country, just that our ACCURSED politicians wouldn't let it be.

Note: you can watch the Commonwealth Games live on DSTV Supersports 7.

The two new SuperSport channels on the PLUS option include SuperSport 7 and SuperSport 10 - which is a channel created specifically for this bouquet. SuperSport 7 will be made up of coverage of rugby, golf, cricket, tennis, football, athletics, boxing and motorsport, while SuperSport 10 will be made up of 90% English Premier League coverage and 10% French League coverage.

By implication, we will be able to view 8 EPL and one French League matches on match days.

What about La Liga? The addition of 50% coverage of La Liga will be highly appreciated.

Thank you DSTV/MULTICHOICE!

Sub-air wouldn't listen.

They should also make their subscribers know their are some free-to-air (FTA) channels on W4/7 that they can track with HITV Decorder.

My Igbo brother, why must some Igbo clans be jealous of the history of another Igbo clan? grin You must be from one of the Igbo clans that resisted Aro control. Everyone knows that Aro raids led to great upheaval throughout the East. Many Igbo villages were displaced by Aro raids. Yes, other Igbo clans assisted the Aro such as Bende and the warriors of Ohafia. They made up the Aro confederacy.
My dear brother, nobody is jealous of the history of the Aros, provided you don't misinform the public. I feel a need to counter your claims that the Aros, at a point in Igbo history, controlled many other Igbo subgroups. Such thing never existed!

FACTS ABOUT THE AROS
In Igbo-land, there are certain class segregation that exists to date, among which is the 'the Aros'. Others are Osu, Umeh and Ohu (Oru). While the Osus are believed to be people sacrificed to gods; Umehs are people whose parents committed abominable acts which warranted severance from the rest of the community; the Ohus are regarded as slaves; the Aros are known to be SETTLERS.

These settlers are usually migrants from same or different localities. Igbos have a saying: Onye biara abia adighi aka onye nwe ala (that is: A stranger or settler cannot exercise control over the bonafide landowner)! This is true! It will therefore be an aberration for anyone to think that ARO SETTLERS controlled their host communities at any point in time. To further buttress my point, besides Arochukwu (which is believed to be the ancestral home of most Aros) and Arondizuogu, there is no other place that the Aros dominated their landlords. Examples abound. There are Aro communities in in Oguta and Okigwe both in Imo State, Amorka in Ihiala L.G., Anambra State, Ezeagu in Enugu State, etc. In all these places, they are treated like second class citizens (no offense meant please).

MORE ABOUT THE AROS
Igbo see them as Oje-ozi (Messengers). Little wonder, in certain Igbo gathering, it is usually an Aro person or people that are called upon to carry out certain detestable assignments. Needless to add that the Aros carry out these duties judiciously and enthusiastically.

As OJE-OZI (MESSENGERS), the Aros were made to fight and resist British invasion, on behalf of their host communities and Igbo land by extension. Me think, this should not be something to brag about.

As OJE-OZI (MESSENGERS), they were allowed to carry out slave-trading. Mind you, they were not the slave owners but mere traders.

I hope to come back with more facts.

NB: This goes out to all my Aro friends in the house. Please forgive me if my post appears offensive. It is never intended. I was only trying to put the record straight. I love all people especially my Igbo brethren (not minding where you come from). Let's endeavour to speak with one voice and avoid excavating and distorting histories in our favour, which which may eventually turn out ugly. Peace!

All grammatical errors are highly regretted.
PoliticsRe: Deleted by Mortiple(m): 5:16pm On Jul 28, 2010

It is baffling to hear 'nwafor-Igbo' coming to a public forum to claim his subgroup's superiority over others.

By the way, there was never a time "when much of the East was under the control of the Aro Igbo".  Even the "history lesson" you extracted from New World Encyclopedia never suggested so.  The Aros never governed, displaced or conquered any subgroup in Igboland except the Ibibios that occupied present day Arochukwu.  They achieved such feat through the assistance of some of their Igbo neighbours.

As a true Igbo son, I have appreciable knowledge of many Igbo subgroups including the Aros.  As much as I love the Aro people, many tales about them are nothing to brag about.  Let's desist from this 'my-people-are-better-than-yours' attitude; it is not helping our image please.

Igbo kwenu!
