A lot of believers are oblivious to the benefits embedded in sharing testimonies in Church. Although, testimonies are not to be shared in Church alone, they can be shared at home too.

In this article, we shall examine the biblical reasons for sharing testimonies. My belief is that you will join the league of testifiers in Church after reading this blogpost.

Five Reasons Why You Need To Share Your Testimonies In Church
(1) To Strengthen The Faith Of Others

David shared the testimony of how he killed a lion and a bear with King Saul. After sharing the story, Saul’s faith in the God David served was strengthened.

1 Samuel 17:36-37
[36]Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied the armies of the living God.

[37]David said moreover, The LORD that delivered me out of the paw of the LION, and out of the PAW OF THE BEAR he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said unto David, Go, and the LORD be with thee.
If David didn’t share that testimony with Saul. He would not have allowed him to go and fight the Philistine. Saul knew that if a man could overcome a lion, the king of the jungle. He should be able to overcome any warrior in life.

When we share our testimonies in Church, we strengthen our faith and the faith of others. If you share the testimony of how you labored and gave birth afterwards. There are some pregnant women whose faith will be strengthened.

In other words, we boost the faith of others when we share testimonies in Church. Testimony makes people to foresee possibilities and eradicate every form of impossibilities.

(2) Jesus Expects You To Share Your Testimony
Ten lepers were healed by Jesus and only one out of them came to Jesus to share his testimony. And Jesus responded saying;

Luke 17:16-17
[16]And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.
[17]And Jesus answering said, WERE THERE NOT TEN CLEANSED? BUT WHERE ARE THE NINE?

This statement explains the fact that Jesus expected all the ten healed lepers to share their testimonies. But it was only one person who came back to give thanks.

Till today, Jesus expects us to go to where we have been healed and share our testimony. He expects us to give the testimony of how he saved us. He expects us to share the testimony of how he blessed and protected us.

Do not be an ungrateful believer. When we share testimony, it shows our hearts of gratitude. It enables the Lord to know that we appreciate Him for what He has done. It is not enough to tell you friends. Go to the person God used for you and share your testimony.

After Jesus healed the madman of Gadarenes. He told him to go and testify to his people at home;

Mark 5:19
[19]Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee.

Be a testifier! Don’t be an ingrate!

How To Know You Are In a Wrong Relationship

(3) To Bring Many People To Christ
It was the testimony of Jesus that the Samaritan woman shared with her friends that made many to believe Christ.

John 4:39
[39]And many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying of the woman, WHICH TESTIFIED, He told me all that ever I did.

The woman was not an ingrate. She didn’t hide under the canopy of being a shy type of a woman. She went around and publicise the ministry of Christ. Her testimony was enough for many Samaritans to believe in Jesus.

Therefore, testimonies bring people to Christ. There are people who will never be captivated by exegesis of the Scriptures. But there are people who will be captivated by true life stories of how Christ librates men. These men need our testimony!

Never hesitate to share the testimony that will bring many to Christ. Your testimony of healing can make an unbeliever to accept Christ.

(4) It’s The Secret Of Victors
Revelation 12:11
[11]And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and BY THE WORD OF THEIR TESTIMONY; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Victorious believers will always have testimonies to share. When David overcame Lion and a bear, he had a testimony to share. Those who want to ensure consistent dominion over the works of the devil must be consistent testifiers.

The more you share your testimonies, the more God blesses you. The more you appreciate Him before many people. The more He will continue to give you songs of praise and reasons to share testimonies.

To be a victor, you must be a consistent testifier.

(5) To Make God’s Grace Known To People
1 Corinthians 15:9-10

[9]For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.
[10]But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.
Paul, the apostle, shared his testimony of how God located him through grace. He maintained that everything he achieved was by the grace of God.

Testimony validates the grace of God upon our lives. We are not ascribing glory to ourselves but to God. When glory is given to God, He blesses us and sees our humility.

Paul was humble enough to ascribe his success to God’s grace. This is exactly what we do, when we share our testimonies.

Warning!!!
• No man of God is to be exalted while sharing testimony. Testimony should be shared in order to return glory to God and strengthen the faith of others.

• We don’t share testimonies to showoff but to recognize God’s grace.

• Believers should desist from sharing fabricated stories in order to stir the faith of men. Be plain and be truthful whenever you share your testimony In Church.

• It is not really polite to share a testimony of a work that is not complete. For example, there is no point sharing a testimony that you have gotten pregnant when you have not given birth. If you want to do that, do it wisely.

1. Let your intentions be pure
When you make a request to God don't make the reason be about your selfish desires e.g Father, give me a car so I can pepper my friends. Lord, I'm sowing my samsung phone so I can get an iPhone and show my friends I have arrived. Your intentions should be pure, virtuous and genuine. James 4:3, warned against this and said,When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.
Remember, God sees your innermost heart. No one can deceive God.

2. Let his Kingdom come through your intentions.
When you make your petitions, it is important to make it serve the purposes of God in earth. A classic example is Hannah.(1 Sàm 1:9-28) Hannah cried and prayed for a child and she got none. But, when she cried and said Father, give me a child and I will dedicate his life to you. God was touched and answered her prayers. Why? God needed a genuine servant to take over Eli since his sons have failed him. Hannah brought an interesting proposition that will make his will to be done and he gave her a son and more children when she fulfilled her promise.
Whenever Jesus prayed he always added sayings like Father, let your kingdom come,let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Father, perform this miracle for your name to be Glorified. Prayers should always be about the Glory of God not you.
When you want your intention answered, bring up interesting propositions to God e.g Father, give me this contract and I will buy chairs for a church for your children to worship you in comfort. Father, please give me triplets, so I will get done with this stage and start serving my role in the church. Father, give me a job in this company, so I can Evangelise and preach your name to the unbelieving staff, I also promise to act as a good Christian and not partake in fraud. Father, please give me a good phone, so I can setup a YouTube page to proclaim your name. Remember, anything you promise endeavor to fulfill. Never, make the mistake of not fulfilling the promise you made to God.

3. Stand on existing covenants
God made a covenant to Solomon that he would answer the prayer of anyone who prayed facing the temple in Jerusalem. 2 Chron 6:21, I am your servant, and the people of Israel belong to you, and so whenever any of us look toward this temple and pray, answer from your home in heaven and forgive our sins.
Daniel been an intelligent jew, understood the power of this covenant and when he prayed he always faced the temple from faraway Babylon!! Dan 6:10 says, Now when Daniel learned that the decree had been published, he went home to his upstairs room where the windows opened toward Jerusalem. Three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed, giving thanks to his God, just as he had done before.
Whether you believe this or not there are genuine churches whose altars have become a place of covenant for some particular needs. Some churches have a covenant that any barren woman that prays there will carry her child, some have for prosperity, long life etc. Not only churches, there are certain spirit-filled individuals, both clergy and non-clergy, who's covenants with God can open the heavens for your sake. Seek these people and places as the Spirit directs you and pray with faith on their covenants.

Hope this message blessed you? Also remember to pray persistently. Jesus taught this mystery in Luke 18:1-8, with the starting note.Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray for just causes and not give up. Daniel prayed for 21 days before he got his answer, and he would have continued if it was delayed. Keep praying until something happens. Shalom.

David had to get rid of a man called Goliath — the man who had been fighting from his childhood. It was a very difficult battle for him. But what did he do?

He encouraged himself by recalling how God gave him victory sometime ago.

1 Samuel 17:37

Stay Strong
Dear friend, anytime you feel there is no hope for you again. Always remember how God has helped you to overcome in the past. God has never changed and He will never change (Mal 3:6).

God is still God because He can visit you miraculously again. Let the past miracles you’ve seen and heard encourage you to believe the unshakable power of God.

Listen to the testimonies of other believers. There are some people who have gone through what you are going through now and they came out victorious.

See, there is nothing new under the sun (Eccl 1:9). Listen to testimonies and let them inspire you.

In the above cited scriptural verses, we can plainly read how David encouraged himself. His property he toiled to acquire had been burnt down. His wives and children have been taken captives.

More so, not only David’s wives and children were taken captives. David’s men — followers families were taken captives too. It was as difficult as that.

Nevertheless, David and his men wept till they had no power. All of a sudden, the men were talking of stoning him.

Immediately, David encouraged himself in the Lord his God. What does it mean to encourage yourself in the Lord?

It means trusting God despite non-visibility of clear cut solutions to one’s problem. You brace up! You cheer on though you know things are difficult. That was exactly what David did.

Try To Stay Strong
Beloved, anytime you encounter whatever you think is unbearable for you. Encourage yourself in the Lord. Nobody else can do this for you. You are the only one who will make up your mind to do so.

See, it is when you encourage yourself that you will be able to see many opportunities that are available.

Be encouraged and you’ll stay strong, active and lively during hard times.

Historically, it was believed that Paul wrote this above verse when he was in prison.

So amazing! A man who was in prison wrote to those who had freedom of movement to rejoice! As you can see, he reiterated his point, saying people should rejoice.

Biblically, you don’t rejoice because you have no problem. But you rejoice because you know the Lord is strong enough to help you overcome your challenges.

Rejoice so that you can stay strong. When Joseph was in prison, he was not downhearted.

As a matter of fact, he was the one seeking the way out for those who were downhearted (Gen 40:6-7).

Grow in faith, so as to stay strong in any situation. I have discovered that it is not really the problem people have that kills them.

In other words, if Jesus could be exceedingly sorrowful. Who are you to say God is unfair to you because of little problem you have?

Manage your problems by going before the Lord. Pray to Him. Communicate your needs to Him.

I have discovered that whenever I pour out my needs before God, my anxiety goes out. Prayer empties my heart. Do likewise.

Tell God your needs. Let Him know you are not okay with that unfavorable condition. And keep trusting Him as He work things out for you.

Overthinking is a very dangerous thing to go through. It makes you start assuming things that aren't true. Those assumptions then bring forth other dangerous thoughts which could lead to hatred, malice, strife, bitterness, jealousy, etc.

The best way to avoid this is to nullify those thoughts. Don't try to rationalize the situation. Just "distract" yourself with things that will only make you think positive thoughts. Constantly doing this will make you forget whatever is making you overthink, with time.

A temptation is meant to make you do something you already know is wrong. Sexual temptations are traps put in place by the devil and his agents, with the aim of making people become immoral. The aim is to make people dirty and separated from God their Creator, so he (the devil) will have the chance to steal from them, get them killed, and then destroy them.

Today, there are lots of Agents of Sexual Temptation out there (people, things, places, platforms, initiatives, etc that the devil is utilising to lure people into immorality). But in this short article, I want you to realise that the kingdom of darkness has colonised a large part of the territory of the world's movie industry.

It is necessary to know that the devil is always working on how he can pervert good intentions and inventions, as well as getting them channeled towards populating hell. Hence, while the inventors of the movie industry might have noble motives in the first place, it is unfortunate to note that the kingdom of darkness have invaded the industry and have been utilising it to corrupt millions of people in different parts of the world.

A lot of players and stakeholders in Hollywood, Nollywood, and several others, are doing the biddings of the devil - directly or indirectly, and only a few in the movie industry haven't bowed to the glistering offers of the devil. The hands of many of them have been sorely soiled with impurity.

Today, it is a common sight to see movies that promote indecency and tries to paint immorality in a positive light. Movies with tons of nude and semi nude scenes are all over the place. Unknown to many, these things keeps depositing lust in the hearts of the millions of viewers (including children). The lusts keeps growing in different degrees and forms, and you start seeing people practising what they saw in the movies. Where do you think kids of today are learning their erotic actions and dances from?

When you watch a lot of movies out there, it is difficult to restrain immoral thoughts and urges. These things corrupts people; they are toxic to our inner man; and cause separation between us and God.

What then should be done?

You have the liberty to watch any kind of movie you want. But if you want to be serious with God and want Him to use you for great exploits, then you can't go on watching just anything released in the already corrupted movie industry. There are some types of movies you shouldn't bother going for, as they will influence you negatively, or deposit debris of immorality into your subconsciousness.

We thank God for the rising of the Christian movie industry today. Personally, I'm always pleased with the Mount Zion Ministry (Evangelist Mike Bamiloye and his beautiful family - both immediate and extended). The Christian movie industry is now producing tons of superb movies that will entertain you (you will laugh and enjoy yourself), enlighten you (get you educated on important things you should know in today's world), then, most importantly, edify your spirit and encourage you to seek God the more (which help you grow spiritually).

So, rather than watching (and exposing your children to) movies that invade the mind with darkness, you should give more attention to the Christian movie industry.

What was that thing you later realised you wasted your money on during your wedding ceremony?

For me was Wedding IV. Spent money printing quality IV. I should have just used WhatsApp, Facebook and SMS and people would still have come. My mums friends and associates was enough crowd.

I travelled with my woman to UK to shop for wedding gown, shoe and wrist watch. Spent £2,200 on gown. £800 wristwatch I cant remember the price of the shoe now. That's for madam alone.

Madam now forced me to buy wedding suits for me and my best man.

Looking back, I would have built a bungalow with this stupid expense. Even my madam now regrets spending such money on wedding gown that she wore for 2 hours and that was it. The gown is wasting somewhere now.

I know I wasted money unnecessary. My only joy is the good wife I married.

These sons and daughters of YAHWEH (who must have made the genuine decision to surrender their totality to GOD), will be placed in strategic positions, sectors and industries. They will be duly empowered by God, will start operating in an enhanced level of power and intelligence, and their activities and efforts will lessen the pains of the world to an extent - with the aim of bringing more people into the kingdom of God.

However, the ultimate and perfect solution to the world's problems will be experienced when Jesus Christ returns with His Saints, to establish His utopian rule on earth. Until the perfect God will return to establish His perfect Kingdom here, the earth will continue to experience unpleasantness and pain - since it is currently controlled by imperfect and fallen humans.

You should note that before Jesus Christ will return to establish His reign on earth for a season, the Rapture will first take place. The rapture is the next big event that will transport genuine and true children of God (both dead and living) to the presence of Christ in the skies, where we will, among other superb things, participate in a feast known as the Marriage Feast of the Lamb.

Nevertheless, immediately after the rapture, the Great Tribulation will begin, and the Antichrist will be given power to torment those left behind. The Antichrist will force people to receive the mark of the beast (666) either on their forehead or arm. Those that won't receive it would be vehemently tormented: They won't be able to buy and sell, they will suffer violent persecutions with no one to help. And according to the graphic illustration given by the Lord Jesus about the Great Tribulation (Matthew 24:15-28), many won't be able to withstand the torments for long (that is, they can't help but to receive the mark of the beast) BUT: THOSE THAT WILL RECEIVE THE MARK OF THE BEAST WILL BE ETERNALLY DAMNED IN THE LAKE OF FIRE AT THE APPOINTED TIME.

Hence, wisdom demands that everyone of us should understand the signs and know that this is the time to get closer to God and establish a true and sincere individual relationship with Him. This is the time to forsake our sinful ways and start serving God in spirit and in truth. This is the time to embrace the Lordship of Christ, and make Jesus Christ your Lord and Savior.

If you are yet to make Jesus Christ your Lord and Savior, simply do so now. Call upon His Name wherever you are, ask Him to come into Your life, and you will be saved! You will be happier if you forsake your current sinful lifestyle, as your holy relationship with God (your Creator) will empower you to have dominion over everything He has created (which is the Will of God for you).

The Word “Christian” is not an emblem. It is the name given to the real followers of Jesus Christ. There are many who professed to be Christians today, yet, they are nothing but unbelievers.

Christians are expected to possess Christ-like character. They are supposed to be representatives of Christ on earth. They are supposed to possess certain qualities that set them apart from unbelievers.

However, there are certain qualities that are repugnant to Christ-like character. Also, there are things a good Christian should never do. Come with me as I highlight and expound them one after the other.



Six Things A Good Christian Should Never Do
• Never Hate

1 John 2:9,11
[9]He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.
[11]But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.

Your Christian living is faulty if you have certain people you hate. If you have developed deep hatred towards certain people whom God created, you are not a good Christian.

More so, the lifeblood of Christianity is love and no true believer should hate any human being. The Bible says you abide in darkness, if you hate people.

No matter what others have done for you, the word, “Hatred” should not be found in you anymore. We are commanded to love everyone. You are not to love believers and hate unbelievers.

God loves the World and He gave us His only begotten son. That’s the kind of love every Christian should possess. God expects us to love all men, irrespective of their belief, lifestyle, exposure, tribe, or nationality.

So, one of the things a Christian should never do is to hate people. Hatred is true mark of our fellowship with the devil – darkness. The true mark of a believer is love.



[/b]• A Good Christian Should Never Hold Grudges Against Anyone[/b]
Ephesians 4:31
[31]LET ALL BITTERNESS, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:

Biblically, every believer is to put away every from of malice. How can you call yourself a Christian and find it easier to hold grudges against people?

Grudge is a deep-seated and/or long-term animosity or ill-feeling about something or someone. It may be because of a past bad deed or mistreatment.

Definitely, people will offend us. They will do specific things that will incite us against them. But a good believer will not keep malice with them. We are to love them for who they are.

Candidly, if you are referred to as a Christian. And you love to hold grudges against people, my dear, you are not a true Christian. Because a true Christian is to put away malice.

Today, forgive that person who have offended you. Start greeting him/her if he/she isn’t greeting you. End your dispute today. Who knows when Jesus will come back? Nobody.

Once again, a true Christian will never hold grudges against his fellow. Hence, he forgiven them irrespective of the levity of the sin.

Wrong Reasons For Fasting

• Don’t Use Your Tongue Wrongly
James 1:26
[26]If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man’s religion is vain.

You may be the type who attends Church from Sunday to the next Sunday. But whenever you come back home, you use your tongue wrongly. The Bible says your religion (Christianity) is false.

Hence, a good believer should be able to bring his tongue under subjects. You should be able to keep your mouth shut at times. And you should know when to talk.

People will doubt your testimony of salvation if you speak foul words. Believers should steer clear of corrupt communication such as abusive language, curses are coarse jesting.

Also, if you are able to control your tongue, you are a perfect man (James 3:2). Don’t allow your tongue to control you as a believer.

Indeed, as a good Christian, there are some things you should never say. There are words that should never come out of your mouth.

Weigh your words. Don’t just talk. Represent Christ well on earth by bringing your tongue to subjection.



• Refusal To Forgive People
Ephesians 4:32
[32]And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.

Refusal to forgive people when they offend you is a sign of false Christianity. Christianity is a religion of love. And if you love your neighbors, you will forgive them.

Check yourself if there is any root of bitterness in you. Anytime you find it difficult to forgive people, you are portraying yourself as an unbeliever.

Those who fail to forgive others, will not be forgiven by God. We all make mistakes and we fall short of God’s glory at times. Yet, God forgives us.

Then, who are you not to forgive all men? Any man can offend you. So, be prepared for it. As they offend you, forgive them.

• Never Ignore The Need Of Others
James 2:15-17
[15]If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,
[16]And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?
[17]Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

Every believer is to authenticate his belief in God through works. Show me a Christian without works and I will show you an irresponsible believer.

Let your good works speak for you. It’s unfair for you to see the needy and neglect them. If you have truly given your life to Christ. The Love in you will compel you to give to others.

Who are those in need around you? The best way to display your Christianity to them is by helping them. For faith without works is dead.

Sadly, there are innumerable wealthy Christians today, who hoard their wealth to themselves alone. They do not care about the wellbeing of others.

Yet, they boast and show off their wealth to people in order to impress them. Even an average believer would tell you that, he/she will start giving when he/she become stinking rich.

Many of us have failed in this aspect. Let’s forget about giving to receive more. The nature in us should compel us to change lives. If we give in order to receive, it means we are selfish.

Let’s change and start helping people right now. Start from where you are right now. Don’t wait until you are too wealthy.


• Never Forget The Rapture
James 5:7
Therefore be patient, brethren, until the COMING OF THE LORD, The farmer waits for the precious produce of the soil, being patient about it, until it gets the early and late rains.

Sadly, many who professed to be Christians have forgotten the coming of our Lord. If you ask an average Christian what he/she is expecting today.

He/she will say he/she is expecting to be rich. This is wrong as riches will perish with this world. We should fix our hopes on eternity things not on earthly things.

Here are 4 character traits to definitely check for:

Men and women have unique emotional needs, and more often than not, it is the man who just doesn't "get it." The unique need of a woman is to be loved - to feel she is the most important person in her husband's life. The husband needs to give her consistent, quality attention.

#4. NOT SHARING COMMON LIFE GOALS / PRIORITIES
There are 3 basic ways we connect with another person:
-- chemistry and compatibility.
-- sharing common interests.
-- sharing common life goals.

Make sure you share the deeper level of connection that sharing life goals provide. After marriage, two of you will either grow together or grow apart. To avoid growing apart, you must figure out what you're "living for," while you're single - and then find someone who has come to the same conclusion as you. This is the true definition of a "soul mate." A soul mate is a goal mate - 2 people who ultimately share same understanding of life's purpose and therefore share same priorities, values and goals.

#5. GETTING INTIMATELY INVOLVED TOO QUICKLY

It is not necessary to take a "test drive" in order to find out if a couple is physically compatible. Of all the studies done on divorce, incompatibility in the intimate arena is almost never cited as a main reason for divorce.

#6. NO DEEPER EMOTIONAL CONNECTION WITH THE PERSON
To evaluate whether you have a deeper emotional connection or not, ask: "Do I respect and admire this person?"
This does not mean, "Am I impressed by this person?" We are impressed by a Mercedes. We do not respect someone because they own a Mercedes. You should be impressed by qualities of creativity, loyalty, determination, etc. Also ask: "Do I trust this person?" This also means, "Is he/she emotionally stable? Do I feel I can rely on him/her?

#7. CHOOSING SOMEONE WITH WHOM YOU DON’T FEEL EMOTIONALLY SAFE
Ask yourself the following questions: Do I feel calm, peaceful and relaxed with this person? Can I fully be myself and express myself with this person? Does this person make me feel good about myself? Do you have a really close friend who does make you feel this way? Make sure the person you marry makes you feel the same way! Are you afraid of this person in any way? You should not feel you need to monitor what you say because you are afraid of how the other person will view it. If you're afraid to express feelings and opinions openly, there's a problem with the relationship.

Another aspect of feeling safe is that you don't feel the other person is trying to control you. Controlling behaviors are a sign of an abusive person. Beware of someone who is always trying to change you. There's a big difference between "controlling" and "making suggestions." A suggestion is made for your benefit; a control statement is made for their benefit.

#8. NOT PUTTING EVERYTHING ON THE TABLE
Anything that bothers you about the relationship must be brought up for discussion. Bringing up the uncomfortable stuff is the only way to evaluate how well two of you communicate, negotiate, and work together. Over the course of a lifetime, difficulties will inevitably arise. You need to know now, before making a commitment: Can you resolve your differences and find compromises that work for both of you? Never be afraid to let the person know what bothers you. This is also a way for you to test how vulnerable you can be with this person. If you can't be vulnerable, then you can't be intimate. The two go hand in hand.

#9. USING THE RELATIONSHIP TO ESCAPE PERSONAL PROBLEMS & UNHAPPINESS
If you are unhappy while single, you'll probably be unhappy when married, too. Marriage does not fix personal, psychological and emotional problems. If anything, marriage will exacerbate them. If you are not happy with yourself and your life, take responsibility to fix it now while you are single. You'll feel better, and your future spouse will thank you.

#10. INVOLVEMENT IN A TRIANGLE
To be "triangulated" means a person is emotionally dependent on someone or something else while trying to develop another relationship. A person who hasn't separated from his or her parents is the classic example of triangulation. People can also be triangulated with things as well, such as work, drugs, Internet, hobbies, sports or money.

Be careful that you and your partner are free of triangles. The person caught in the triangle cannot be fully emotionally available to you. You will not be their number one priority. And that's no basis for a marriage.
