FamilyRe: 4 Things You Should Learn To Avoid About Women, If You Want To Live Long by Mryacks: 8:53pm On Oct 07, 2020
MrTAnonymous:
If You Want To Live Long, Here Are 4 Things You Should Learn To Avoid About Women

As a guy, living for a long time and making things happen is your first goal in life. Every man on Earth is destined for a reason, and before you leave the earth’s soil, that reason must be accomplished.

Because of one weakness or the other, some men were not able to achieve their aim. Any of those weaknesses apply to the case of women.

If you look at the world today, you can find that there is a higher number of widows than widowers. One of the reasons may be that most widowers typically remarry, while another explanation is that so many duties and pressures lead some men to die. Some die because of women’s problems, and I want to advise all men on this note to always disregard or avoid such things about women in order to survive for a long time.

Among the things to avoid are;

I’ll begin with your bachelorhood.

1. Avoid fighting for her with other guys.

I don’t welcome the “if you love her, fight to get her back” notion. Why should a man fight on Earth over a girl? She would not have fallen into another man’s arms if she loved you. She’s not the only girl on earth, but you know you can see a better person than her. It’s safer that you let her go instead of trying to get her back. You will end up being killed or potentially murdered during the battle.

Learn to avoid that.

2. Avoid jealousy.

More than anything you can imagine, jealousy destroys the spirit. You just put your heart into an emotional trauma, as you become jealous of every man you see around her. The same way that she was drawn to you, the same way that she was drawn to other guys. Try to consider the fact that she will still have men around her because you are still dating her, and she is a woman after all. Some men may be so jealous that they get angry every time their girl receives calls from other men; why not calm down before you kill yourself with jealousy? No man will take her away from you, no matter how they try, if the love is there.

Over to when you are married.

3. Avoid her nagging.

In this area, some women are naturally gifted because of their disposition, and if you understand that fact, it is significant. Just because she’s nagging doesn’t mean you’re going to make her a punching bag or maybe start nagging along with her. As a guy, any time she starts to nag, you still need to act. At that moment, try to realize that she is upset, and avoid her until her temper cools down. I’m going to advise you to leave the house if it begins to start triggering your own wrath. By the time you leave home for a few minutes, when you come back, buy something for her and all that will end. Life doesn’t have duplicate, so don’t confuse it on your own. I’ve got a lot of men who have died from domestic abuse, which I’m sure you would have seen too. There’s no benefit in your wife’s war, so try to avoid it.

4. Be careful with your female children.

You have all the preparation to offer them when they are still growing up, but when they grow up, you should realize that you are not going to be able to manage them100 percent again. Sit them down and talk sense into them when you see that they have begun to take the wrong path. Don’t push it on them if they continue, just step aside to prevent early burial. Experience is often the best teacher. Maybe they can realize that life is not a bed of roses when they experience life a little.

I’ve seen occasions where, one way or another, daughters kill their fathers simply because the guy doesn’t want them to flex with whoever they want. Leave her to Heaven, who will teach her some lessons to learn from experience, if you talk sense into her and she refuses to listen.

Of course, who doesn't know Okemiri?

His best years were with Enyimba United though.

He was part of what is unarguably, in my opinion, the greatest Enyimba squad of all time. Those guys made me start following the Nigerian league in those years and that is why I remain an Enyimba supporter till date.

I will never forget the heroics and never-say-die spirit of Vincent Enyeama, Joetex Frimpong, Muri Ogunbiyi(a Beninese), Okemiri, Coach Ikhana, Obinna Nwaneri, Goalkeeper Aiyenugba(Pk shootout expert), Captain Romanus Orjinta, Ezeji Victor, Ajibade Omolade, Tyavkase etc etc.

Golden squad. Legends. Two CAF champions league back-to-back. 2003 and 2004- both wins against North African oppositions in the form of Al Ismaili Sakandry and Etoile.

But the most memorable has to be that grueling final against Ismaili. That game was intense! My dad was on the edge of his seat all through 90'+ of it.

Great memories smiley

Well said. Such a fantastic squad and golden era for Enyinba. I watched that 2nd champions league win at the Abuja stadium that year. I also met Okemiri one time in Abj when he was injured and had to be training with one local team to regain fitness. He was so strong and bigger than appeared on tv grin

4. You’re only allowed to date someone if you plan on marrying them
Many things that we take for granted in the West, North Koreans are not allowed to do. This includes things like public displays of affection (including hugging and kissing, even for marries couples,) getting tattoos and having piercings.
North Korean men expect their brides to be chaste and to have been in no previous marriages. They must also be without child.
In the DPRK, if a woman gets divorced then it is always her fault and as such, she has very little chance of ever finding another husband. Domestic violence is not frowned upon and many men who abuse their wives will be supported by the government.
Again, Kim Jong-un gets a free pass to do what he likes with women. Female defectors from the country have described how school girls are pulled out of high school and taught how to become sex slaves and pleasure the notorious leader.

Its up to two years since i broke up with my ex (ALEX MARVEY). But uptil now I haven't gotten over her. She has moved on & deeply in love with someone new who she profess to be engaged to.
She has blocked me on every social media platforms but yet i still find a way to stalk her. Following her updates & uploads using a different and fake id.

Whenever we cross paths on the road she ignores me like we never knew before.
Despite the fact that it was her that messed up and did all the lies & cheating, yet i still forgave her for everything she did.

How can i move on and let go of her totally & for good because anytime i and my new girl are eating, walking, bathing & romancing i do imagine my ex.
First forgive yourself. Accept the reality that the relationship is over. Stop stalking her on social media to find out what's going on in her life....you will keep hurting yourself. It will kill you. Don't try to force yourself to erase her from your mind overnight because it's a lie...it won't happen like that. You will heal gradually and she will keep fading from your thoughts day by day. Kneel, pray and ask God to help you to be willing to heal.

HealthRe: How Nigerian Doctors, Hospitals, Diagnostic Centres Are Defrauding Patients by Mryacks: 2:48pm On Sep 14, 2020
Shehuyinka:
A PREMIUM TIMES investigation revealed how medical diagnostic companies are colluding with doctors and hospitals to scam Nigerians through a referral kickbacks scheme

ONE afternoon in July 2013 while descending the stairs of a Lagos hospital where she worked as an auxiliary nurse, Abosede Oriabure, 45, heard a snap in her left knee. She felt a sharp pain.

The pain persisted for a few minutes but later subsided. Although the pain did not completely disappear, it was nothing serious beyond a mild ache and she did not think much about it.

But days later, the pain returned with a vengeance. Her knee was practically burning from the inside. She could barely lift her left leg. To ease the unrelenting pain, Mrs Oriabure resorted to self-medication. She used Tramadol, a recently banned painkiller, oxycodone and other similarly addictive analgesics.

But the pain never went away. In fact, it got worse.

As the pain became increasingly excruciating, she visited an orthopaedic doctor, who recommended she did an MRI scan to determine why the pain had persisted. The cost of the MRI Scan was N85,000.00. Unemployed and barely scraping a living, the mother of three could not raise the money. She resigned to taking the addictive painkillers to get by one day at a time. When she thought things could not get worse, one Sunday in August 2018 she woke up and discovered that her left knee had twisted into an arc giving her a K-shaped stance when she managed to stand upright.

After months of enduring excruciating pains, she managed to do the MRI scan in September 2019 after her husband took a loan from a consumer credit finance firm. Although she has been told she may be needing a knee replacement surgery, her doctor told her that the pressure on the knee during the six years she waited before seeking professional help may have caused irreparable damage to the knee.

“My condition would have been better if I had done the MRI scan in 2013 or soon after and started treatment then. But I couldn’t raise N85,000 then,” she said.

Mrs Oriabure’s story is not an isolated case. Without universal health coverage, the majority of Nigerians are unable to pay for their health bills, including the cost of essential medical diagnosis, resulting in a spike in medical complications and deaths.

A 2019 survey by, one of the country’s top polling organisations, NOI Polls, revealed that at least 89 per cent pay for healthcare services out-of-pocket.

But while millions of Nigerians are increasingly struggling to pay for life-saving healthcare bills, including payment for vital medical diagnosis, doctors, hospitals, and medical diagnostic services providers are defrauding them of billions of naira yearly through a fraudulent medical referral kickback scam, a PREMIUM TIMES investigation spanning 20 months has revealed.

This criminal, multi-billion naira fee-splitting scheme, cut, or rebate, as it is commonly known in the healthcare sector, is done in such a way that medical laboratories hike the cost of medical tests, by at least 20 per cent, and as high as 35 per cent, which is later paid to the referring doctors or hospitals.

In addition to hiking the cost of medical test, some medical laboratory providers also actively encourage doctors and hospitals to upsell unsuspecting customers for medical diagnosis they recommend. Insiders in the health sectors also told PREMIUM TIMES that some doctors prescribe tests patients do not need just so they can earn kickbacks from laboratories.

Our investigation uncovered the rotten underbelly of a sector where the rules are made by the profiteering owners of diagnostics centres, and physicians, who without remorse, steal from their patients in blatant violation of the Hippocratic Oaths they swore to uphold, the Code of Medical Ethics of the Medical Dental Council of Nigerian, and the Rules of Professional Conduct for Medical Laboratory Scientists, laboratory technicians and laboratory assistants.

How patients are defrauded

Posing as a physician, this reporter, for over 20 months painstakingly sent people to do several medical tests in at least nine of the country’s biggest medical laboratories using referral forms obtained from sales representatives of the diagnostic laboratories.

While all the diagnostic laboratories agreed to pay this reporter a 10 per cent to 20 per cent cut of the fee they charged for diagnosis or encouraged the reporter to upsell the fee for medical tests to patients, only six of them actually credited this reporter’s bank accounts with the agreed kickback.

PREMIUM TIMES covered the costs of the tests as well as funded the patients’ transportation to the laboratories.

The scheme is such that diagnostic centres first register doctors and hospitals with their bank account details and the kickbacks due to doctors for referring patients to them are usually calculated at the end of each month and transferred to doctors’ bank accounts.

Two of the diagnostic centres even made this reporter sign “memorandum of understanding” to pay him a kickback which is described with deodorised terms like “B2B prices”, “mutually beneficial partnership”, “hourly rate” and “physician fee”.

In all but one instance, the diagnostic centres did not care to check if this reporter was indeed a physician as he claimed, neither did they authenticate the name of the fictitious clinic he gave them nor insisted on visiting him at the clinic he claimed he worked for before handling him their referral booklets.

In fact, all the diagnostic referral forms used to refer people for tests were handed to this reporter at malls, restaurants, and other public places. One diagnostic centre even had its dispatch rider deliver it at an address that isn’t a hospital.

Me Cure Healthcare’s HelloDoc Referrals App

Indian-owned Me Cure Healthcare headquartered at Oshodi, Lagos, is one of the biggest medical laboratories in the country. The company has six branches across the country including an Eye Centre. It is also planning to set up what it describes as West Africa’s biggest oncology centre that will provide services such as cancer diagnostics, radiotherapy and chemotherapy.

Me Cure Healthcare’s parent company – Me Cure Industries Limited –is also into production and marketing of generic drugs, dietary supplements, healthcare-focused IT and e-commerce for healthcare.

The private limited liability company was registered in Nigeria in 2005 by the Samir Udani family.

PREMIUM TIMES investigation reveals that Me Cure operates a sophisticated fee-splitting scheme using a sleek mobile app called HelloDocApp. The app is described as “the biggest online community of doctors in Nigeria.”

To be part of Me Cure’s kickback scheme, doctors are first recommended by the company’s sale representative before they are granted access to use the app by another representative of the company based in India.

Wow....what an expose. I don't know if this "practice" is obtained in developed nations too but but this clearly shows you that over here, most of this medical doctors, labs, clinics, etc are all about the profit making first before service to humanity...

Christianity EtcRe: 10 'little' Things We Forget To Thank God For by Mryacks: 10:45pm On Sep 13, 2020
Reeda45:
Giving thanks to God should be one of the easiest things to do, but it is an act many actually forget to do.

We remember God when we need Him to do something for us. And when we get what we want, we forget to go back to appreciate Him.

Just like the 10 lepers who were healed by Jesus on his way to a village close to Galilee. Only one returned to thank Jesus. Only one.

To think he wasn’t even a Jew. One of God’s own people. He was a Samaritan. A reject. He could have walked away like the other nine. But he chose to remember and appreciate the source of his healing.

I wonder how Jesus would have felt about the ungrateful nine, knowing well beforehand that they wouldn’t return, and yet, he still chose to heal them.

I wonder how He feels every time He does something for us and we don’t even say ‘thank you’; yet, every time we go back to him again, He still answers us.

What a loving father he is!

But that doesn’t mean we should take His love for granted. Especially when He does seemingly ‘little’ things for us.

Some people only remember to thank God when big things happen in their lives, like the birth of a baby, promotion at work, getting a new car, buying a house or even passing an exam.

Those things that people feel are big achievements in life.

But when the little miracles occur, they don’t consider it a testimony of God’s goodness.

Paul knew the importance of Thanksgiving, and that was why he admonished believers to give thanks to God in “everything”

“In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” 1 Thessalonians 5:18

“Everything” means both the big and small blessings.

So what are these ‘little’ things we forget to thank God for every day?

Let’s dig in!

1. For the breath in your nostrils
That you are alive every passing day is one of the greatest miracles of life. Remember, only the living can praise the Lord.

2. For the food you eat (and sometimes waste)
If you know the millions of people wanting to be in your shoe, you will thank God for that slice of bread or snack you are about to consume.

3. For good health
A visit to the hospital will teach you to appreciate God for the sound mind and body you are enjoying right now.

4. For having a family
Some people don’t have anyone to love or love them in return. They don’t have anybody to call family. But you do.

See, your family members may be annoying at times, and sometimes, you just want to knock their teeth out. But they still love you and are there for you when you need them. Being alone in this world is not something you will like to experience.

5. For good friends
Yes. You should thank God for giving you great friends who have your back, especially when going through difficult times.

6. For your church
The church is a community of people knitted together by the love of Christ. If you are part of a church, you get to enjoy a sweet fellowship that keeps your innerman happy and satisfied. Remember to thank God you are part of His people.

7. For the challenges you face
Now, this may sound creepy. Why should I thank God when I’m in problem? See, if everything is rosy in life, you will not even remember there is a God in Heaven. God allows obstacles in your life to strengthen you and remind you that you are not alone. He is there with you all the way. Remember, He will not allow you to pass through temptation (challenges) you cannot overcome. He is only preparing you for a better future; so thank Him!

8. For divine protection
That you go out and return safely to your home everyday is a miracle on its own. And it’s not by your own hand. If you know the number of accidents that happen every day, eh! on the same road you take, you will appreciate God more.

9. For a glorious future
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11)

Need I say more?

10. For your redemption and eternal life

Many Christians are waiting for God to do a ‘big’ miracle in their lives, forgetting that God has already done the greatest miracle of all – the sacrifice of His son. And that is why we can call him ‘Father’. Always remember to thank God for redeeming you from sin and giving you the hope of eternal life.

To conclude, Colossians 3:16-17 teaches us how to give thanks to God.

“Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”

What are you grateful to God for today?
