Christianity Etc › Re: Stop These Sexual Acts In 2019 by Mryacks: 8:10am On Dec 31, 2019 |
Interesting15: by Sunday Akanni
Writing this, my heart is heavy, as I reflect upon the damages sexual immorality has caused in the lives of many people (especially young people) around. It is so painful seeing young people suffering and living a wrecked lifestyle. A lot of ladies have damaged their wombs as a result of their efforts to abort an "unwanted pregnancy" picked on the bed of sexual immoralities (in fact, some of them got killed during the process). A lot of folks have been sent to their early graves after picking fatal STDs via their immoral sexual activities. A lot of intelligent and brilliant young people with a bright future, have lost their purpose and focus since they started tasting the forbidden fruit. The evil devil has brought wretchedness into the life of many today, and they are living as blind confused folks. It is so nasty.
We will keep hurting ourselves when we decide to go contrary to the will of God. Indeed, as humans, we've got the liberty to decide on how we want to approach issues of sex and sexuality (and there are several beliefs we can actually embrace). Nevertheless, the best option is to go with the best option - and the best option is that given by God, He is the Wisest Ancient of Days that created everything, including sex.
God has given a loving instruction that all forms of sexual pleasures should be shared only between a married husband and his female wife inside the safe confines of their marriage institution, with no other party involved.
If you will obey God's commands, you can be sure of living a lifestyle that is devoid of the fatal pangs associated with sexual immoralities.
If you will obey God's injunctions as regards the enjoyment of sexual pleasures (which is the best for you), then you must stop these sexual acts and not carry them with you to the new year:
1. Premarital Sex: Fornication is having sex when you are not married. Sex is meant for married couples (a male and a female) alone. Yes, I know a lot of people out there are doing it, but please, don't follow the tides. You are unique. You are not a mere animal that can't control yourself. Don't indulge in premarital sex, and you won't battle the negativities attached to it (unwanted pregnancy, STDs, etc).
2. Extramarital Sex: Adultery is having sex with someone other than your own spouse. Please, don't have an extramarital affair, but be contented with your own spouse. The effects of extramarital sex are usually deadly. The few-minute pleasure is not worth the coming pain.
3. Homosexuality: This is sexual relations between members of same gender. Either it is lesbianism (between females) or gayism (between males), these acts are abominable, and you shouldn't go into the new year with them. Call on the Name of Jesus for deliverance, and He will save you.
4. Pornography: Sex was made by God to be an honorable act. It is meant to be a private affair between a husband and his female wife. You shouldn't view the unclothedness of others for sexual pleasures, and you shouldn't indulge in pornographic acts too.
5. Masturbation: You shouldn't play with your sexual organs for sexual pleasures. It is a sin against God, and there are repercussions too.
6. Other Immoral Sexual Acts like sextings and the rest.
Please, stop immoral sexual activities. Don't go with them into 2020. Enough of sin and immoralities. Be determined to honour God and live your life serving Him this new year. Ignore antagonists. It is your destiny to have an eternal communion with God your Creator, as this is what will empower you to have dominion over creation.
Receive the enablement to live your life for God, in JESUS NAME. Amen! Very good and purposeful work here. God bless you |

Philspace: Hello my Nlanders, I sincerely need your advice. My ignore my typo's.
So there was this lady I met (3) years ago during her course of registration, then I used to operate a small cyber cafe in school. As time went on, we became friends, after a while we both started developing some feelings for each other but as a real-G I was just waiting for her to make moves first but to no avail, so I decided to ask her out.
She told me she loves me but we can't date because she already has a boyfriend whom she intends to get married to, that we can only be friends and wish I should respect her decision, the guy in question lives abroad.
9 months passed we were still friends until one fateful day one thing led to another and we both had sex, after everything she said hope I've succeeded in getting what I want and went as far as saying I shouldn't call her line and never come to her apartment again, that she doesn't want to ever see or have anything to do with me again then she left.
The next day I wanted to call but fear could not allow me, I later took up the challenge and called but she didn't pick my calls. Later that evening I decided to pay her a visit and behold immediately I got to her apartment she smiled and said "I thought i'll never come" that she's now convinced that I truly love her, finally she accepted and we start dating.
Everything was going on smooth until some time last year, I started noticing some things about her, she no longer frequent my house anymore, doesn't call, always on tight schedule. I'll ask her what's her problem but she'll wave it, meanwhile this lady was busy frustrating my efforts of loving her but I never gave-up. Locked her up in the room and told her to tell me whats wrong with her or she isn't going out, she said her guy is back though she still loves me but she doesn't want to double date, that she doesn't know how to put it to me that's why she has been acting-up, that she wants to settle down, I was so heartbroken but as a man i packaged myself and bid her farewell.
Last month she came back to beg for my forgiveness, and is still begging till date, I love this lady so much that i can't stand her tears.
Please i'm so confused, what should i do?? It's just a simple case of option A and option B...some people date with other options while some don't |

You can control what they're exposed to within your house but what of when they get outside the house. The school, among friends even the church. They pick up stuffs from their peers. A lot of ladies never have sex until they marry. They are not just in your faces talking sex and bulshit. The half who engage in sex pre and before marriage make the loudest noise to create a believe that all are in with what they do.

Christianity Etc › Re: What Happens When A Believer "Dies In Sin"? A Biblical Exposition Of What Sin Is by Mryacks: 10:59am On Dec 23, 2019 |
jiggaz: What Happens When A Believer “Dies In Sin”. A Biblical Exposition Of What Sin Really Is And What Jesus Did To It
A Bible Study by Prince Gabriel Okocha
One of the most common question I get asked after teaching on the wonderful gift of Salvation given to us in Christ is, “What if the believer dies in sin?”
The other formats the question usually comes in includes, “what will happen to a Christian who died in sin?”, “where will a Christian who died in sin go to?” Oftentimes, they usually expect me to say “Hell”.
While I am aware some people ask these questions with the intent of trapping you into saying something they will cherry-pick and use against you, I am also aware some do so out of the sincerity of heart, to learn the truth of God’s word. However, the question wouldn’t have even been an issue in the first place if we had taken some time to study what the Bible has to say concerning sin.
What does the Bible call sin?
There are two of them. Unfortunately, the first is where most people stop at. I implore you to not learn about the first alone but also pay enough attention to the second.
The first thing the Bible refers to as sin is wrongdoing or wrong acts. That is not rocket science. Nearly everyone knows this. The wrong acts here includes lying, cheating, stealing, idol worship, fornication etc. But that is not all there is to sin. As a matter of fact, these wrongdoings are better referred to as sins.
The second thing the Bible calls sin which is actually the main thing the sacrifice of Jesus dealt with on the cross, is the evil “nature” passed onto every man from Adam. This nature is the main thing that separated us from God, or you can say “killed us spiritually” since spiritual death is simply a separation from God. It qualified every man a sinner even without doing anything evil.
Rom 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned
The sin nature is what produces the sins (the wrong acts) we see present in the world. As long as a man has not received or accepted the sacrifice of Jesus for himself personally, this nature is still very much active in him. It can drive him to do anything, all manner of evil, without remorse. It is just his nature.
Apostle Paul explains it better like this;
Eph 2:1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
Eph 2:2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
Eph 2:3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
Did you notice in that verse 3 how he referred to us before encountering Christ as the Children of wrath by nature? He took time to explain that the reason we committed all manner of sins as in wrong acts, was because we had the nature of sin within us. As long as that nature was within us, we could do anything, anytime, anywhere.
Without minding what anyone would say or do. In his prophetic explanation of the reason for Christ’s coming, John the Baptists tells us clearly “Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world” (John 1 :29)
What sin was he talking about? Lying, stealing or fornication? Not exactly. He was referring to the root of sins which is sin itself, i.e the nature.
So how will Jesus take away that sin seeing that He was not born into it like every other man? How will take it away if he never had it in the first place?
On the cross Jesus willingly had His nature of righteousness stripped from Him and took upon Himself that sin nature and became “sin” or a “sinner” like every other man. Not by evil actions but by nature.
2Co 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. In His death, he died bearing that sin nature in Himself for all who would believe and come to God through Him. He died and was buried with it. But in His resurrection, He resurrected a new man, with a new nature- the nature of righteousness.
This new nature of righteousness is automatically reproduced in all who receives it by Faith in His death, burial and resurrection for them. By receiving it through faith, they become qualified to be called Righteous men, even without doing any good thing at the moment. They become the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.
2Co 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. So, the major thing the Bible refers to as sin in the Bible is the nature of sin. That is what makes a man a sinner before God. As long as you don’t have this nature any more through faith in the sacrifice of Jesus, you are not a sinner anymore. You may still do some bad stuffs occasionally, but that doesn’t make you a sinner again in God’s eyes.
In the same way, you can do all the good things in the world, help the poor, pray etc as many times as you lie. As long as you have not accepted the sacrifice of Jesus for yourself, you are not a righteous man. You are a sinner in God’s eyes. If you die that way, you will perish in Hell.
So what will happen to a Christian who dies in sin (nature)?
First the Christian can never die in that state seeing that His sin nature has been taken away by Jesus according John 1:29. He has a new nature in him which is the nature of righteousness. Also if he dies committing a sin (wrongdoing), apostle John tells us his fate.
1Jn 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
1Jn 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
That scripture is not only valid when the Christian is alive, it is valid as long as the word of God is valid. That is forever, and ever , and ever! When the Christian is present on this earth or gone. That is what the Bible teaches. Not that he will end up in Hell even after being born again in the image of God. There is no single scripture in the Bible that supports that notion that if a sinful believer dies, he will end up in hell. If that were to be the case then everyone will end up there since there are over 613 sins that we can consciously or unconsciously commit before dying. Saying we didn’t do any of it intentionally is not a valid excuse before God. Claiming ignorance does not also work with Him.
Our only hope is His words, His sacrifice and forgiveness. At all times. Should we then take that as a license to go on sin rampage? God forbid! Apostle Paul tells us:
Col 3:8 But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.
Col 3:9 Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;
Col 3:10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him
He says “put off” all forms of wrongdoings. That is, stop them. Why? Because you no longer have the “old man” which is the nature of sin in you. You now have the “new man” which is created in the image of God. In righteousness and true holiness.
So, for the man in Christ, the nature of sin has been dealt with once and for all, and his entire wrongdoings has been completely forgiven. This is the Gospel. This is what the Bible teaches. I hope this blesses you! Glory to God

binarymachine: We all have a past, some of us have nothing to worry of our past while some of us are not too proud of it. You may have done or involved in some reckless or silly acts in time past, it may be because you were younger and naive, it may be Youthful exuberance, it may be a wild sense of adventure, you might just been plain stupid or you may have been a victim of other’s wickedness. Whatever is it, you seem to be struggling with its memory and scars.
It called past because it has happened and there is nothing you can do about it. Understandably, some things interfere with our normal psychic and affects the way we think. Your past may be a traumatic event, you may have been used in a way unimaginable, abused, assaulted, violated, maltreated, debased or put through hell and the world made it look like it was your fault. Now you are depressed, feel rejected, probably tired of life and thinking you should just end it all. You wish to let go but it’s difficult and you don’t even know how to start. You are actually stronger than you think and that is why you are still alive.
However your past is, either it was something you did or something done to you. You have a whole life in front of you. No matter the weight of your past, or the gravity of sin committed against you, you can pull through it. Realise that you may not be the first to have gone through that, others have been there, they survived and are living thier best life. Realise also that you are not alone, a lot of people may be going through same problem as you right now.
Forgive
Forgive yourself for all the things that has happened, this is the first step to gaining your freedom. It was not your fault, there is little you could have done about it. Let go of the anger you feel towards yourself, you have punished yourself enough. Cry, grieve, breathe and let go.
Forgive the people that have put you in your present state. They put you through misery, made you feel worthless and kept taunting you until they almost broke you. Its is hard and you want your revenge. Sometimes the best revenge is forgiveness, forgive them! They probably may not know what you are passing through because of them but trust me, karma has kept records and will visit them in due time. Just let your anger towards them go and you will see how lighter you have become.
Pick Up And Move On
Finally, pickup what is left of you, rearrange your self, seek further counselling, speak to a trusted family or friend about it. Just pour your heart out to them and let them help you feel better. Get busy, get a job, try hanging out, make new friends, meet new people and give life another chance. Never be a prisoner of your past, yesterday is gone, today is fresh and tomorrow is beckoning. Forgive yourself, forgive the world, let go and let God deal with it.
