Sir Riddy, Towards the end of your email, let the guy know that you will be more than eager to provide samples of the work you have done if he needs it. That is if you have projects you've worked on (codes, algorithms and all). You should be good after that. |

Mehn, na so I for die by slipping and splitting my head open. But God said, Thou Shall not die When next you come to AR, go to Fort Smith, Texarkana and Hot Springs. Its beautiful down there. I do not like Little Rock, too much crackheads up there. 1 Like |

JustCurious:No Kidding! Arkansas is really a unique state. You will not believe I was still wearing shorts on saturday cos the weather was like 20OC. Now it has dropped to -10OC. Lmao. And funny enough it doesn't really snow here, it sleets and rains ice! I mean Ice falls from the sky like rain. And when it does, the ice weighs down the power lines and poof! Electricity and internet is gone. The sleet also make it impossible to go out cos it so slippery and will destroy the soles of your boots. Lol. I sure will miss this place after graduation Such funny weather. I knew the sunshine and good weather we have been having all winter will come back and haunt us Make sure you come back in the Fall/Summer. That time na tornado galore. Na every week tornado dey shakara us. Wait o, we talked on the Canadian thread? |

Politics / Re: Presidency Lists Grouse With February Polls Date by MsNas(f): 7:51pm On Feb 06, 2015 |
So, they did not realize that before fixing that date for the polls? These people are a joke. I might be wrong, but I am of the opinion that proper logistics and analysis would have been done before fixing a date. All parties concerned would have to sign of on the date and adequate preparation towards the success would have started since then. All these delay tactics is just pathetic and insane. Is it now that they realized that conducting the elections on February 14 (Literally, few days away) "will throw the country into turmoil and confusion.” as they said? Jeez. That country is a joke! A huge one at that. SMH. |

So yeah, nobody cares. 3: Seriously, how is that your business Lmao. Wonders shall never end. Last I heard, it is our tradition and nobody begged you to like it. The same way you people eat that goat thingy inside mortars is really disgusting. 4: Lmaooooo!! So you don't fart? Please tell me more. HOTWATER:What school and state are you? Cos last I heard, SEVIS only require you to take 9 credit hours (6 hours if you're a graduate or research assistant) as a graduate student. Summers are supposed to be free cos that is the time people get the chance to visit their home country. Maybe it's your school that changed its policy. I haven't gotten such email |

STENON:Please do contact Professors or program directors to know how they go about their application. This is an excerpt I got from the UND Geology program's webpage. 1. For admission to the geology Ph.D. program, applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in geology from an accredited college or university or otherwise demonstrate sufficient coursework, training, or experience in geoscience. 2. For “approved” status, students must have completed a 5-6 credit hour geology field course, along with satisfactory achievement in supporting science and mathematics, as determined by the department graduate admissions committee. The other schools you posted were not really clear on their specifications. Also, I think what they offer is PhD Geology and not PhD Geophyics. Those are two different courses. |

STENON:You've got a very good GPA there! If I'm right, you're going for Phd in Geology/Geophysics? Did you contact the schools you mentioned in your previous post? I might not be 100% right, but maybe you should talk to professors in your intended department first to know if they accept students with education degrees for their masters/PhD programs, then you can go from there. I said that because education is a whole different faculty here and they do their things separate. At least from my limited knowledge. If you don't mind me asking, is your course a 4 year course? What school is it? |

Phones / Re: 15 Reasons Android Phones Are Better Than The Iphone by MsNas(f): 3:48pm On Jan 30, 2015 |
FotherMucker:Because most of the buyers are gullible Americans who follow the trend. Most people here use the iPhone cos its the fad and its easier for older people to use than the Droids. Most phone carriers always carry the iPhone brands and its easier to upgrade. It's the younger people that use droids. I for one would like to go back to my BB10, the galaxy is just to clunky for me. I'm never getting an iPhone cos I don't wanna be locked down on proprietary rights with apple. |

voodoo85:She can only call Immigration if she's even sure about the man's real name and details. It's a long shot, considering the fact that she didn't even file papers for the man. On what ground will she say she wants to call USCIS on ICE or the man's arsee? That he said he loved her and he doesn't love her anymore? From what she wrote, I'm also pretty sure the guy didn't come here on a K-1 visa, therefore she has no tenable argument. The guys at USCIS and ICE have better things to do than to listen to those stories. But if reverse is the case and probably the guy came here through her or she's in the process of filing papers for him, by all means let her call the Immigration and the mumu guy's lying arsee be sent on the first freight plane to Nigeria. |

ggratia1:Dude, we pissing you off? What did you expect? For us to hold your hand, caress your hair and sugarcoat things by telling you its gonna be alright? What good is that gonna be to you if we lie to you? Yeah, it's from experience. I've never been married (I'm a young girl), but I've had Nigerian boyfriend and still have a Nigerian boyfriend and I know majority of them lie. I don't condone lying in my relationships but it's a fact we all know that they do. Stop getting defensive, this is the internet, you've got to have thicker skin than that. SMH |

ggratia1:Hey, easy tiger! I never said you had a problem with him having a Facebook. I said he might be lying his Facebook got hacked or something. I am an IT guy and I know about the clones of Facebook pages. But your so called husband is also Nigerian, these are my people and I know them like the back of my hand. You might have loved him but there's a very huge and probable fact that the feelings ain't mutual. I know as an American, you might find it hard that someone could lie that much and really well. Well newsflash, we are pros. Most of us can lie off the top of our head if need be. Cut your loses and move on. There are bigger and much more delicious fishes in the ocean. But if you don't want that, then you can maintain the status quo. You were cussing out a poster up on there, it ain't my business but, cool it sister. You came on a Nigerian forum and they told you as is it, don't come on here cussing. |

crowns2:Thank you jare! I know someone here who came here through his African American wife (Older woman o). This guy has been here more than 5 years and has been professing love to this woman, just to get her to stay in line cos of his papers, yet no love was lost in between them. He even has a steady girlfriend in Nigeria who knows this guy is married and living with an Akata woman here. Yet the girl won't leave him because she knows he's with her for papers The OP said her husband doesn't have facebook! Lmao. Lies!! This my friend too, his AA wife thinks he doesn't have Facebook cos they fought when she found out he was chatting up girls on there and he had to deactivate the Facebook to placate here. But dude has Facebook, he just has it under another name. The OP is being lied to and used. It walks like a duck, quacks like a duck... It is a duck. |

passionate88:Not think, I know so. I've seen this kinds of scenario way too many times. A lot (not all) of Nigerian men marry for papers. The OP claimed she's American, but I'm having a hard time believing that. The story itself is so disjointed and not adding up. How will a man who obviously doesn't have papers and is married to you.... a USC, just up and leave like that? Weird. OP said she speaks to his family? Darling, if the story itself is true then talking to the family of a Nigerian man does not mean jackshit! They know their son, brother, nephew, uncle or whatnot is stringing you along yet they pull you in for a ride. Especially when they know what their person stands to gain from marrying you. I've seen many Nigerian/White, Nigerian/African American marriages and all are with language barriers of itself, yet they are surviving. Saying he left you cos of the language barrier is weird. And you haven't even been married for that long o. So many loopholes in the story, it makes my head ache 2 Likes |
