Family › Re: Cutting The Connection Between My Wife And Her Male Besty by MummyD2020(f): 1:35pm On May 26, 2021 |
Nacoss25: Good morning everyone. I am a young man newly married to a 22 yr old lady. our marriage is just 2 months old.
Before I met my wife in 2019, she has this male best friend who they have been best friends even before I met her though my wife is a social and jovial person always cheerful, she easily makes friends wherever she finds herself that's her nature and kind of personality.
Right now her friendship with that her male friend is what am becoming uncomfortable with right now because of the so much attention she is lavishing on him. I have complained to her that I am not comfortable with her closeness with the guy but she is seeing it that am trying to cut her off from her friends.
One interesting part of the whole thing is, since we got married the guy has been trying to distance himself from her a bit knowing too well that she is now married but my wife is even the one doing all she could to keep the friendship going the way it has been going. 2 days ago I and my wife were together she called the guy complaining bitterly how he has been distancing himself from her.
My people what do you think I should do to cut down that connection or will the friendship grow week by the day on it's own? My wife is refusing to understand that in marriage there are things u will have to let go. Maybe shes not ready for marriage yet. Some are mature at 22 while some are explorers. She doesn't hold the marriage in high esteem. Threaten her to chose between the two of you or you will leave. See her reaction. She should get her acts together na. |

Lalami3232: Lol . Oga make I advise you as a fellow man. In this life eeh, na only two things na dey involve in most cases and this same "2 things" law still apply for this ur matter, make I give you the possibilities:
1. Maybe the guy and ur wife na just normal friends wey don share alot in common, though without sex sha. The friendship don too tight sotey ur wife dey find am difficult to leave the guy. 2. The guy na ur wife one time bedmate wey still dey bust ur wife head with he sex and friendship. So wetin u go na to talk to ur wife maturedly without any shouting or false accusation because u no get proof say dem dey do anything evil. Tell her say u no dey comfortable with the friendship cus preeq and toto matter be like bread and butter for this generation, very easy to eat. If she still no stop, then u go leave her alone cus if u use force, she go dey dodge dey go meet the guy for back. But my number 1 advise to u be say, OGA DO DNA FOR UR CHILDREN OOOO, E GET WHY.
I don talk am before and I go talk am again "The day my wife go born girl pikin, I go cry like who dem say na Lai Mohammed be he papa". I know someone that has four. Another has 3. The girl child takes care of her parents more. So leave matter |

zeenaman: I would like to hear from experienced couples here. 19th of this month made it two months since I've been married, yet my wife has not conceived. I'm getting a bit worried. We have intercourse all through her ovulation, though we plan on seeing the doctor this week.
Could you render advice as well as share your experience here? How long did it take you or your wife to conceive after marriage? Everything you people will blame her, while the issue could be from you. Maybe you guys havent tried while shes in her ovulation. She should monitor her ovulation period then you strike. Thats if you both are ok. Medically, active couples can start complaining of not being able to conceive if after one year of been together and no pregnancy. Two months is very short |
Family › Re: Have You Noticed This About Families These Days? by MummyD2020(f): 8:24pm On May 23, 2021 |
Mustiboy: I've noticed how family convergence in the sitting room is quickly going into extinction. Despite that I had a playstation and personal computer while growing up, it was deemed disrespectful to remain in the room at night while everyone was in the sitting room.
Mum would make us watch Yoruba movies with her and harness those moments to bark life lessons at us, citing the moral lessons in each movie we watched. Dad, on the other hand, would ask how school went, ask after our friends, and stuffs like that. You must go out to welcome him at the sound of his car horn.
Today, you see kids whiling away on social media with the door to their room locked, not minding the presence of their father in the house. Not even the reality shows playing in the sitting rooms interest them anymore. How then will they bond with the rest of the family?
Kids nowadays can stay in their room all day and would only come out to eat, then they go back inside.
Being together in the sitting room is a great opportunity for family bonding. Some parents even allow locked doors in their house. You can't be my child and have your door locked. That's a privacy you won't be privileged to have under my roof. You must come to the sitting room to bond with your siblings and we your parents.
What do you think guys? Is social media the sole reason for kids locking themselves up in their room these days? Why are they all smiling as if its always calm and lovey dovey? Why are the kids not throwing temper tantrums? Abeg its fake joor. Atleast a parent should be angry that one of the kids is misbehaving, ehhe, Thats what makes it a real family. See how organised the whole settings are. |

If the accident was indeed weather related, modern aircrafts wouldn't have just gone down like that.. In life, atimes, when something wants to happen, it will. Even the most obvious errors will go unnoticed. Thats life |
Politics › Re: Nigerian Army confirms death of General Attahiru by MummyD2020(f): 9:34pm On May 22, 2021 |
Eriokanmi: That's not the case. I suspect sabotage...have you forgotten the preceeding airforce jets crashes...the one in abuja and that of maiduguri?
Our government can't be trusted. They lie alot. You can imagine them saying the jet crashed during a heavy rain whereas, someone just said there was no heavy rain in kaduna. They'd just say something to make people think it was caused by bad weather. The plane exploded in the air... an eye witnes said so. Had the bad weather been an issue or its possible cause, the COAS would have been advised not to fly or the jet diverts its course, worst case scenario.
I don't trust this government.
I remember Arotile's case as well. How can a car reverse on a road with speed bumps mounted at intervals, now hit someone and the person would die just like that when she wasn't lying on the floor and got run over by the car? Common!
I also remember when abacha was in power and he wanted to eliminate our uncle Gen Diya his second in command then. Thank God for that brave and loyal officer who hinted General Diya of the heinous plans of abacha( may his soul rot in hell) . Abacha had sent a delegation to break the news of General Diya's mishap to family even when the plane had not been reported crashed. He sent a team to commiserate with his family shortly after take off of the plane which eventually crashed as plotted. Gen Diya had to divert his course to a hotel where he was watching his death announced on NTA. Did he resign after that? How did he deal with the matter after the evil plot against him? |

BRATISLAVA: You're talking to people who believe the success of marriage lies solely on the head of the wife.
Imagine how they need to be begged or promised something in return before they will do what needs to be done. Must a man be asked to do things around him? Can't he see they need to be done and just do them, rather than sitting like a prideful statue on a pole waiting till the red carpet is rolled out before he can come down from on high to do it.
They need soft words, but expect their women to jump to their rescue without batting an eyelash. Most Nigerian men are the ones who destroy marriage and make it more difficult than it needs to be with their tin god behaviors. Many men believe in just providing for the family. Women try alot. Honestly. Its not only soft words, u need to practically beg and pet them and bend your neck where you are begging them oh. |

Hardgun: That's very bad telling your husband to wash plate I was expecting this. Chai . But the man can watch her work to death yet its nothing. What if she breaks down? Its not as if she ordered him. This is a woman thats trying to make ends meet. Was she balancing and watching tv? Guy be considerate. Since i gave birth, i have not been frequenting my shop but hubby comes back and carries baby so that i can have a break. This is someone that left by 8 in the morning. Haba, is she a slave? She is trying for God's sake. Shes not an octopus na. Its condescending but she was choked up too. Its a matter of understanding oh. If you never marry, you need to calmdown. You go change baby dirty diapers, they will throw up on you. You will watch their poop to know their health status. Its what makes you a man. |
