Charlie, stop decieving people biko - You earn before you purchase! Tell them the earning power of the NGN first abeg!!!

That guy above has only sold some half-truth to you and that is very poisonous and misleading.
The NGN has no value period!

He told you about purchasing power, what he did not tell you is that you have to earn the currency before you can use it to purchase anything.
Did you know that average minimum wage in USA is circa $2,000 p/m (= NGN 960,000) while the average minimum wage in Nigeria is NGN 30,000 p/m =($63).

Place these values on the same table to see how far apart they are

(a) USD 2,000 to USD 63

(b) NGN 960,000 to NGN 30,000

Whichever way you find yourself, you will lose with the NGN!

Bitter truth is that the average minimum wage earner in Nigeria takes about 3 years to earn what his counterpart earns in a month in the USA. huh

Next time anybody tells you NGN500 will buy you water, meatpie, eegroll, malt, akara and moi moi - just tell him all those stuff are substandard and poorly made food. NGN 500 would never get you a healthy meal,
e get why Heineken cost pass Goldberg but all na Lager
Thanks for breaking it down. I didnt even read your analysis before responding to his half baked truth. His analysis was just misleading. How about other variables? Well, na who no know dem go deceive

Your decision to increase your family size shouldn't be via googling now grin.
I think the major determining factor is the sort of life you want for the kids and yourself and which is very much centered around finances.
If your pocket/savings/investments can comfortably cater to basics (shelter, accommodation, food, good education upto tertiary level) and others (vacations, eventuality of a loss of income etc) then by no means go ahead.

Personally I've stopped at 2, 4yr son and December 2020 girl (I'm in my late 30s too)...this is what we can raise comfortably in this Nigeria of today..........but if I decide to relocate abroad I might add a 3rd grin

After all Tony Elumelu has 7children in this our present economy grin
My love, thanks for your input. I am financially ok. Elumelu i think is a billionaire oh or e remain small. Insurance over cover that one. Lol. Sorry i had to bring it up here.

What made you settle for Ogun of all places in the first place?

Anyways there are nice and affordable places in Lagos on the mainland that are equally cool like the island. If you're interested you can get a cool selfcon for 400k to 650k. The place is very central and exposed. You'll love it!
Do we have a calm place in Lagos? Aside those high brow places? I live i. Lagos though

This is why its good to know your root. Ask your parents questions about your root. Some people claim city life but have never been to their villages. Even the guys. Its very important Travel once in a while. You guys that keep mocking easterners that they travel every year. This is the result. If the city is not favourable, the village is there.

Christianity EtcRe: Insecurity: Pastor Adefarasin Advises Church Members To Plan Their Escape Route by MummyD2020(f): 11:10am On May 10, 2021
LordReed:
LMFAO! "I know you have faith, but I have faith too but I have a plan B." This is what many religious people need to realise, their religious leaders have a plan B if things go belly up. Oyedepo for instance has invested billions for each of his children and himself such that even if they never get 1 naira again from church they are set for life, they do not need faith. This pastor has made it clear they are prepared to leave this country should things get out of hand, no faith required. You carrying faith on your head, better be guided. Bwahahahahahaha!
Honestly i love how he came out plain. This man is well off, he has more faith and well experienced. So why will someone argue with him? I love that he is not hiding behind religion. Others will tell you to have faith in God and that the country will get better. Na washhhhhhhhh

FamilyRe: Nigerian Man Renounces His Position As First Son In The Family, Gives Reasons by MummyD2020(f): 9:13pm On May 09, 2021
koondog:
Before I even open the thread, I knew it must be Igbo. Igbo culture and tradition is very complicated and you won't understand unless you are Igbo. They have many rules like in the bible. The first son in Igboland comes with both benefits and responsibilities. You will inherit the family estate in the village and many others but comes with heavy responsibilities too, not for free! You can't even denounce it because the land will come after you wherever you run to.
It is not all first sons that take up responsibilities. U guys should speak for yourselves . I have seen an irresponsible first son that they married for , gave birth to two kids still living with the parents. They sent abroad, he messed up and came back, they sent him out again. Now he doesnt even look after the parents and doesn't have relationship with the siblings. That wan na firstborn?

The ball actually is in your court. Are you worried about having a repeat CS, since you had one just last year November? If yes then you might want to allow your body still heal for sometime.
However, since you're in your late 30's think it through and decide on time knowing that reproduction in women depreciates naturally with age
All the best
Thanks mama. I appreciate your help.

Hello ladies, i really need your opinion on something that has been bothering me. I am proud to be in the forum because i learn alot. I am from nov 2020 group and i have a 4 year old son plus my nov girl. I am seriously googling, pondering, researching just name it about whether to add third baby. Honestly i know that this will be considered by me lastly but i just cant make up my confused mind. Please no bashing because i know this is a discussion between hubby and me. I already told him i wasnt going for a third one around the period i birthed my girl. Omo, the pains and stress of csection and sleeplessness were taking its toll on me. So the guy fled. So now, he was like, whatever i want. So he is indifferent. I dont just know why i cant decide. Please TTmamas any clue? Im in my late thirties.
