A 96-year-old woman, Lady Monica Okoye, from Anambra State who recently celebrated her 96th birthday was pictured with some of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, IgbereTV reports.

One of her daughters, Dr. Ify Nwakwesi, who shared the photo said that Lady Monica had 12 children, 8 surviving, who gave her 36 grandchildren and 43 great grandchildren.

Did you know that average minimum wage in USA is circa $2,000 p/m (= NGN 960,000) while the average minimum wage in Nigeria is NGN 30,000 p/m =($63).

Place these values on the same table to see how far apart they are

(a) USD 2,000 to USD 63

(b) NGN 960,000 to NGN 30,000

Whichever way you find yourself, you will lose with the NGN!

Bitter truth is that the average minimum wage earner in Nigeria takes about 3 years to earn what his counterpart earns in a month in the USA.

Next time anybody tells you NGN500 will buy you water, meatpie, eegroll, malt, akara and moi moi - just tell him all those stuff are substandard and poorly made food. NGN 500 would never get you a healthy meal,

I don't know. Last I asked, the woman say naa 900 so I just lock up go follow my hen talk make e no dey use cocks do yanga dey run up and down for street. But the hen no wan hear and me I need eggs, so I just catch the hen put for one corner, separate the two legs widely with ropes.. now boys dey run the hen anyhow, and me dey collect eggs too steady..

Your decision to increase your family size shouldn't be via googling now .
I think the major determining factor is the sort of life you want for the kids and yourself and which is very much centered around finances.
If your pocket/savings/investments can comfortably cater to basics (shelter, accommodation, food, good education upto tertiary level) and others (vacations, eventuality of a loss of income etc) then by no means go ahead.

Personally I've stopped at 2, 4yr son and December 2020 girl (I'm in my late 30s too)...this is what we can raise comfortably in this Nigeria of today..........but if I decide to relocate abroad I might add a 3rd

Before I even open the thread, I knew it must be Igbo. Igbo culture and tradition is very complicated and you won't understand unless you are Igbo. They have many rules like in the bible. The first son in Igboland comes with both benefits and responsibilities. You will inherit the family estate in the village and many others but comes with heavy responsibilities too, not for free! You can't even denounce it because the land will come after you wherever you run to.

The ball actually is in your court. Are you worried about having a repeat CS, since you had one just last year November? If yes then you might want to allow your body still heal for sometime.
However, since you're in your late 30's think it through and decide on time knowing that reproduction in women depreciates naturally with age

Abeg give her time to heal, although people heal differently. Atleast from 6weeks post partum but some people resume sex before or after. I know someone that hasn't for 6 months. So it also depends on the parties.
