Much as I would agree with you, I would still blame the Asiwaju for not looking back and learning from history. He saw first hand how Abiola was treated and Asiwaju was already an adult when Awolowo went through all kinds of humiliation. When you dine with the devil, you should do so with a very long spoon. He believed so much in the accord he reached with Buhari but he failed to realize that the Northerners will hijack the president as soon as he gets to power and all agreements will be buried.

This is a big lesson for all the leaders in the South. Their one and major concern NOW should be how to get Nigeria restructured and move their people forward.

There are measures to determine if a tyre is expired or not fit again for uousage on the road.

A tyre fixed to a commercial vehicle that plies Portharcourt to Abuja daily shouldn't be given the same expiry date with that of a banker who drives only 30minutes to hiso office for many years.

This a situation where one would expect the National Assembly, especially the house of Representative to come to the rescue of Nigerians. In this hard times, there is no way ordinary people can afford to buy a tyre for N25,000. The cause of motor accidents in most cases is bad roads and reckless driving and not expired tyres. The FRSC is just looking for ways to extort motorists. its unfair.

Quite a number of Federal university lecturers are also lecturers at private universities. One lecturer at OAU, lectures in 4 private universities. They are always on the move. That is why the standard of university education has fallen drastically in Nigeria.

My dear Nairalanders, in the name God do not refer to those foreigners as Hausas! Those trouble makers are from Niger republic, Mali, Chad etc. They are in Nigeria in hundred of thousands. They are attracted to Nigeria because they get easy jobs to do like Okada, gatemen, cobblers, load carriers etc

Because they have the features of Hausas, they parade themselves as Nigerians but their character is very different from that of an average Nigerian Hausa/Fulani person.

The aforementioned foreigners are rude, temperamental and very dangerous. They know they can easily get away with their nefarious activities because people mistake them for Nigerians.

The security agents and the Nigerian immigration need to check these foreigners.

The Nigerian Hausa/Fulanis are actually peace loving people.

I disagree with you on this, i think the ban is taken effect at the right time and this will give us insight on patronizing our local rice.We learn there's is rice in Anambra, Kebbi, Kaduna etc, They should go and buy from there and started selling in the markets.. I wish you know how many smugglers have become billionaires at the expense of the masses, They import rice at cheaper rates and started selling in high prices. I based in cotonou and i know lots of wherehouse where they store those rice and in even frozen stocks.

We import less fuel now, less rice, and other stuffs, even with oil @ $46-$50 though with less production from us, but with foreign remittances, total inflow (roughly $4b/month on the average) is still greater than outflow (roughly $2b/month) -- but, where are the dollars?!

The dollar shouldn't be trading at more than N220-N250 at the most, if you eliminate hoarding, round tripping, profiteering, and general racketeering.

The CBN either by fault or design or both, is always couple of steps behind thought-wise.

If all these is happening under Emefiele and Buhari, then they both are not fit to be governor, nor president respectively.

Actually, that'd imply they both are both curses and causes to the failed Naira, and system as a whole.

The simple interpretation is, no matter what gains we make economically, it will all be nulled/eroded by the complicity/complacency/ineptitude/cluelessness/greed/favouritism/wickedness of these 2 principal actors.

Very well said. I have always known that the CBN itself is the Headquarters of corruption in Nigeria. Just few weeks ago, I took my niece who just arrived Nigeria from the USA to one of the offices of the BDCs to change the dollars she brought. We were given very dirty and mutilated Naira notes in exchange for the crisps dollars my niece brought.

You don't need to be told that those Naira notes were the ones meant to be destroyed/burnt by CBN but the notes have managed to get to the hands of BDC agents! I even made my feelings known to the BDC agent and he more or less agreed with me. My people, is that not another form of round tripping?

The value of the Naira can never appreciate if the CBN is supplying cheap Naira notes to BDC agents who use the Nairas to buy Dollars from people. The Ministry of Finance need to beam It's searchlights on what is actually going on in CBN!

I totally agree with you and I can also bet with my last Naira that the little girl is not the mechanic's daughter. I implore the Lagos state government to carry out a DNA test to check this out. I want to also suggest that DNA be made a routine check in our maternity hospitals throughout Nigeria. A lot of men are not the biological fathers to the children they are nurturing.

Even ECOBANK is not on the list. A lot of people don't know that ECOBANK is a very good bank. I have been using the bank for more than 10 years and I have no complaint. They are everywhere and their staff is not as unfriendly as some of the other banks. (I use other banks too so I know what am saying) Kudos to ECOBANK, the real people's bank!

The big question is what happens to those impounded or seized bags of rice. I know for certain that they are not destroyed (buried) like they do to imported frozen chickens or poultries. So what happens to them? Can someone please tell us?

Does she work? What time does she get home from work? Who picks up the kids from school? Who takes care of them after school? Who takes care of the cooking?, cleaning, washing?
If she does all these alone, she will be genuinely tired everyday. The traffic situation alone can cause a headache on its own. Having young children screaming I want this, I want that can cause another headache. Cooking different meals for the children, and then for the older ones too everyday can stress you out too.

3. Also, women do think about money issues too.
So if she's broke and there are some expenses pending in the home like house rent, school fees, changing her car because the old one keeps giving her trouble, sex would be far from her mind.

Some men find sex as a stress reliever, and when stressed they want sex.
Its not the same for most women, who when stressed see sex as more stress or even a stress inducer.
