Martinez39: Ogbeni, your unimpressive mind needs proper education. I am really serious. You created a thread way back(I think that was in 2016 or 2017) saying you knew when Jesus was coming back because you've decoded it from the bible and you even gave a date and time. Even to the very end, you were still sure and postponed at the last minute. Of course, you were eventually disgraced and went away for sometime in shame. Other topics of yours are equally laughable as well.
Knowing this and the unimpressive mentality you possess, you need proper education. Ogbeni, go to school.
shadeyinka: Forget about the word Trinity for now.
Very good choice and wise move
shadeyinka: There are many words we use that are not in the Bible eg. Holy Communion, Rapture, Christianity
That doesnt equate to a license to say what not the bible explicitly says though and please desist from throwing in red herrings
shadeyinka: Let's look at the human being. The human being is a compound of the body, soul and spirit; do you agree with this?
Of course, you know I agree and accept that the human being is a compound of the body, soul and spirit, but you know I am not talking about the human being but is talking about and/or of God. Whatever you've come to perceive God as or to be, is not the last stop or terminus of God. God's name being I AM, I AM, speaks volume that He cant be overly and restrictively pigeonholed
Like I earlier said the phrase "muslim feminist" is an oxymoron, as the words muslim and feminist go against the grind, but will admit, it is the strongest candidate that wins the clearest vote of the odd one out of all
Martinez39: School epp me and you. If doctors, engineers, mathematicians, physicists, pharmacist etc. no go school, this life go still dey somehow. Maybe we for don die since.
I reiterate, Bill Gates of Microsoft fame, dropped out of university, Steve Jobs, of Apple fame, dropped out of university, Michael Dell, of Dell Computers fame, dropped out of university, Mike Lazaridis, of BlackBerry fame, dropped out of university, Mark Zuckerberg, of FaceBook, dropped out university, Julian Assange, of Wikipedia fame, dropped out of university, Larry Ellison, of Oracle database fame, dropped out of university, so what's new?
MrPresident1: Dangote did not go to school. He learn handwork
You can learn Doctor work, engineer work, mathematics work, physicist work and pharmacist work, all as hand work.
Maybe this is what your lecturer wants you to recognise and the reason he gave you assignment without answer. He is telling you school cannot help you, hand work lo sure ju for you
Dangote went to Al-Azhar University, Cairo and has a bachelor's degree in business studies and administration from there.
fuckboys: true but I still stand with (c). Have edited my previous comment
Cant you see that (c) is an oxymoron. Muslim feminist, is this in context of hijab, burka or niqab, segregation of women in worship place, women right to drive in the Middle East etcetera?
Martinez39: As in. I don do research, I don pray so tey and I don fast. The answer isn't coming forth. Hahn, IAmSabrina and CAPSLOCKED come epp me o. My life wan spoil for Mr. Lecturer hand.
Bill Gates of Microsoft fame, dropped out of university, Steve Jobs, of Apple fame, dropped out of university, Michael Dell, of Dell Computers fame, dropped out of university, Mike Lazaridis, of BlackBerry fame, dropped out of university, Mark Zuckerberg, of FaceBook, dropped out university, Julian Assange, of Wikipedia fame, dropped out of university, so what's new?
Martinez39: Please, my lecturer gave me this tough question. It's 40 marks. If I fail it, I would drop out of university. The question is too hard for me. Please help, I don't want to fail.
Here is the question Mark the odd one out in the following : (a) a herbivorous lion. (b) an aquatic zebra. (c) a muslim feminist. (d) a four sided triangle.
Help me. My research has been fruitless. My head is just turninoniown.
Oxymoron galore and/or bonanza. Good luck getting the answer. You'll have better chance getting water out of stone
Splinz: Obviously, I don't agree. Not just for disagreeing sake but because even your Bible disagrees as well.
God is not 3in1, as coined by lustful pagans as the "Trinity". Biblically speaking, the Godhood is composed of two Beings called "God".
Firstly, let's establish that of a truth, the Godhood is made up of more than one Person before establishing the exact number that constitutes it:
"And God said, Let US make man in OUR image, after OUR likeness..." (Gen. 1:26). "God" in Old Testament Hebrew is Elohim, a collective noun that can be used in both singular and plural forms, such as with "sheep, deer, series, species" and other terms. It was Elohim who said, "Let US...". Note, the words "Us & Our" in this statement simply shows that at least two or more Persons were involved in the creation work.
But of course, we'll prove that they were not more than TWO. We've already proven that it is more than ONE. So let's see...
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God" (John 1:1-2). Before we tie it together, let's quickly see who's this "Word":
"And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us..." (John 1:14). This speaks of non other than the One we know today as Jesus Christ.
When tied together, we see that even before the settings of Genesis 1:1, TWO Beings existed, One called the "Word" and the other "God". Interestingly, both of them are GOD: One God--one divine family, or kingdom--comprised of TWO individual Members.
Furthermore, think of their relationship as the sign on U.S. President Donald Trump's desk: "The buck stops here". The Other--the Word (logos in Greek)--represented God, serving as divine "Spokesman" for God's kingdom, following, supporting and carrying out God's commands. One led; the other followed His lead. Yet they were both equally God, in character and power. Their relationship simply reflected an ideal government in action.
In conclusion, having gone all the way to the beginning to see how it all started, and indeed we've seen that there's no mentioned of a supposed "third person" like: "In the beginning was the Word, the Holy Spirit, and God. And the Word and the Holy Spirit was with God", we must summarily conclude that this so-called third person is simply an invention by enemies of the truth.
The closest illustration of the Trinity of God is the trinity of man.
Just as a man is: Spirit Soul Body And the three are not different personalities but existence in different dimensions, so God is a Trinity of: The Father (who wills and decides) The Word (who speak everything into being) The Spirit (who accomplishes the word)
I can explain further if you have any questions
shadeyinka, you and Splinz are just trying to argue over nothing.
shadeyinka, are you able to show in the bible where it is explicitly stated that God is trinity. Implied are not welcome, so please take note of that
Looks like the anti spam-bot has gotten hold of you LoJ dear friend from posting and also hid your post up above too. I have sent you a personal email anyway, so check your inbox
1- why would I disclose someone's name in a forum l, while even mine I have never disclosed.
How as I to know its classified info. You are the mystic remember, not me, hence why my curiosity got the better of me
LoJ: 2- a Few of them. I will name one. I have been to the place of Stylianos Atteshis, famously called Daskalos if you know him. He is now gone though, but he was a very great mystic with thousand of documented scientifically investigated and proven miracles. His became very renowned when an American professor took a sabbatical leave to investigate him in Lefkosia, Cyprus, for a whole year.
3- He was living. You can Google him up.
No, dont know and never heard of him, until now and finding out he was a Christian esoteric healer and mystic.
LoJ: About your factual truths, it is your opinion that your opinions are facts. It is mine that they remain opinions, just as mine.
Dear friend, the problem here is, too many people don't know the difference between a fact and an opinion. Facts dont change, facts arent affected by opinions, but opinions in the face of facts change
If a crooked stick is before you, you need not explain how crooked it is. Lay a straight one down by the side of it, is all you need do and the work is well done.
chrisbaxtian: I primarily hold Christian beliefs, but I am open minded enough to accept the knowledge within some esoteric leanings. I occasionally practice breathing meditation.
I used to practice breathing meditation, it is very beneficial, but sadly hadnt the firmness of purpose and discipline to keep it up
chrisbaxtian: I and muttleylaff are two different people
LoJ: I practice tantric Buddhism with the help of someone I consider a great man. I also have great interest in hermetica and Kabbalah. I also have met sages both incarnated or not, from various paths including rosicrucianism, esoteric Christianity and Taoism
Out of curiosity and interest, please indulge with these questions: 1/ What is the name of this someone you are proud of and consider to be a great man? 2/ What sage in esoteric Christianity did you meet? 3/ In what capacity did you meet this sage, as in, was it in an incarnated or not incarnated capacity?
LoJ: I also read a lot about other paths. I do not claim that my posts will be the factual truth, but more of a personal understanding of these traditions. Corrections will be welcomed.
I read a lot too. My posts are not opinions, but are factual truths
I will give you Biblical support for that statement in a moment.
Someone may be thinking “I thought God invented religion!” Sorry, but God invented Man and Man invented religion.
Humankind is by our very nature, (designed so by our Creator) drawn to relationships. Relationships that range from familial, to friendships, to marital as well as communal. These relationships that we don’t even think about give us insight into what God intended for us. From the time we are born we learn that the family relationship provides security and safety and unconditional love. (That is why we call God the “Father”). A healthy family creates a relationship of trust, security and encouragement. As we grow older we learn the value of a loyal friend that we can trust with our cares and stand beside us when we need help. (Jesus is referred to as the “friend that sticks closer than a brother”.) As we mature and attract a mate, we learn how marvelous the intimate relationship between a man and woman becomes, and how to depend upon and serve each other to the point of becoming “one flesh”, as the Bible states it, not only physically but emotionally and spiritually. That relationship of marriage is the pinnacle of relationship theology. This is why Jesus is called the “Bridegroom” and the “Church” (don’t get ahead of me, just keep reading!), which is the entire congregation or number of believers, is called the “Bride of Christ”.
Now, we all know that not all of our relationships always work out this nicely. I would venture to say that those relationships not working out is not because God had anything to do with them, but more than likely because we kept Him out and did what we wanted to do. In other words, the reason the relationship failed is one or both parties put self interest ahead of the other. Self. God had nothing to do with the failure of those relationships. Can a broken relationship be restored? Sure! It happens all the time, but not until those interested persons are willing to put someone else ahead of themselves. This humility of spirit, seeking and offering forgiveness and restoration is absolutely necessary for a reconciled relationship.
God created Man for the express purpose of mutual relationship with him, but gave Man the power of choice and free will. Man chose to break that relationship and has been trying to find his own way by inventing religions and cults of all kinds in an effort to replace that void left by lack of relationship with his Creator.
But relationship with God cannot be found through religion. In fact, religion is the biggest roadblock to seeking a relationship with God. Religion is simply Man trying to reach out to God by doing something that he thinks will please God. “If I can do enough, say enough, pray enough, give enough, sacrifice enough perhaps God will show me favor”. Every religion is based upon this “works theology”. Neither ceremony, liturgy, creeds, sacraments nor money have ever brought one soul into a reconciled relationship to God. Abstaining from drugs, alcohol, tobacco, illicit sex and the places that provide them is a healthy thing to do but cannot of itself restore a broken relationship with God. Giving up a favorite food or drink, reciting ‘program prayers’ or self mutilation does nothing to convince or satisfy God.
“But my denomination teaches…” Do you really believe that God favors your denomination over others? Quite the contrary, if your denomination professes to be “the only true way”, I can pretty well guarantee that it isn’t! Do you think that God’s intention was to have eleventy-five different denominations of His Church? They can’t all be right, and more than likely they’re all wrong.
Now, I realize that thus far I have been speaking in terms of Christianity. But the cults such as Islam easily fall precisely under the premise of “God hates Religion”; after all, I observe no one more committed to their religion than an Islamic Fundamentalist. Although the Muslim serves a different god (Allah is not the God of the Bible), he too is seeking to appease his god by doing. That is “works based theology” no matter how you slice it.
So you may be wondering where in the Bible it says that God hates religion. Starting in the Old Testament I will show you several references and then finish off with what Jesus Christ Himself said concerning religion.
Isaiah 1:13-14 states, “Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and Sabbaths, the calling of assemblies…it is iniquity…Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them.”
David prays to God in Psalm 40:6, “Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire;…Burnt offering and sin offering hast thou not required.”
Amos 5:21 says, “I hate, I despise your feast days, and I will not smell (the odors of their sacrifices) in your solemn assemblies.”
Micah 6:6-8 includes; “Wherewith shall I come before the Lord and bow myself before the high God? Shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves of a year old? Will the lord be pleased with thousands of rams, or with ten thousands of rivers of oil? Shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul? He hath showed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God.”
And there it is: “Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.” James 4:10.
You see, the Israelites (Jews) of the Old Testament had forgotten the relationship with God and became dependent upon the religious system of works and sacrifice and offerings expecting spiritual redemption or to appease God. But in these passages we see God Himself saying, “I don’t care how you shake and dance, I’m not interested in your religious activities, I want your heart.” In fact that is exactly what He expresses here in Isaiah 29:13, “Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honor me, but have removed their heart far from me…”(Jesus quoted this passage in Matt. 15:8-9 adding “…in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.”)
Imagine a pyramid which represents religion. The base is guilt, upon which is laid fear. Religion uses guilt and fear to incite works to appease which when applied results in pride.
Pride is the capstone of religion. But as in any pyramid scheme, only a few get to the top; everyone else is trying to work off their guilt and fear. It is a bondage that Jesus confronted with a tongue lashing directed at the religious leaders of the day; the Pharisee’s of Judaism. They sought to entrap and discredit Him and asked Jesus, (paraphrasing) “Why are your disciples disregarding our traditions…” Jesus answered, “Why do you transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?…You hypocrites!”(Matt 15:1-9)
Jesus really lets them have it in Matthew 23. Talking first to the people He said (paraphrasing), “The scribes and Pharisees sit in high seats and bind heavy burdens upon you that they themselves won’t even lift a finger to bear! They make themselves look pious before men so everyone will recognize their positions.” Then turning on the religious leaders He calls them hypocrites, fools and blind, tombs full of dead men’s bones. “Every time you open your mouth death comes out!” He called them snakes headed for the damnation of hell! These were the religious leaders!
Jesus said “Come unto me… and I will give you rest.” (Matt. 11:28) Religion can’t save you; only relationship and that comes through humility and repentance. Christ says in John 10:9 “I am the door: by me if any man enter in he shall be saved…” Guilt is the natural state of Mankind. We are all guilty before God. This leads to fear of all kinds. Fear of being found out. Fear of failure. Fear of change. Fear of the opinion of others. But doing something good (works) will notchange the fact you are guilty. The only cure is a relationship with God through Jesus Christ who took upon Himself my guilt and fear. I am no longer guilty and can act fearlessly and rest secure that I have a relationship with God, which then enables me to “work”, that being striving to do things that honor my relationship with Him.
The works are not to gain God’s blessing in my life; but to reflect God’s blessing in my life. “We don’t do to be, we do because we are.”
The relationship with God through Jesus Christ is more perfect and full than any earthly relationships we can forge because God is perfect. Other people are not. And even though we can have wonderful relationships with one another, these pale in comparison to a relationship with Him.
As with everything in Creation, the physical (material) is a manifestation of the spiritual. The human relationship of family teaches us of the security we have in Him as the perfect Father. The friendship we experience of our most loyal friend on earth is still imperfect compared to the Friend we have in Jesus. The picture of marriage shows us the intimacy and devotion that He has for us when believers are referred to as the Bride of Christ. If you read the Song of Solomon with the King as Christ and the bride as the “Church” you will see how this works. Better yet, if you have a great marriage, you have experienced the wonderful earthly manifestation of this relationship.
But as humans, we are flawed creatures, and still struggle within these relationships on the human level. The relationship with God puts Him as the guardian of the relationship and Jesus promised “I will never leave you or forsake you.” And if your relationship with God is good, you will realize that your relationships with other people are much better. That is, indeed, the abundant life that Jesus promises.
It is impossible to work your way into a relationship with God. You must be born into it. The second birth. The spiritual birth. Religion is not the answer. Religion is the problem.
Horlufemi, you are my padi, so let's get things in the proper perspective, if Yes, God hates religion and truly that religion is the problem, please can you paste here for all to see and read, all the James 1:27 bible translations you possibly can find
LoJ: Having observed that so many people have complete ignorance about esoteric paths,
Having noticed that people here tend to group them all under the word "sorcery" witchcraft or diabolic
Knowing that people are only afraid of what they don't know and only knowledge can liberate people,
Willing to promote tolerance, perspective enlargement and mutual understanding,
believing that ruth can more easily be found as a synthesis, that is the cross checking of all possible perspectives, approaches to life physics and metaphysics,
I will attempt to explain in the following posts and days my opinion the fundamental truths / perspectives of various (main) spiritual and esoteric traditions.
dukeprince50: if he knows those that won't change yet created them and punish them later on, will you call him a merciful God?
Yes, God is ever Merciful. Now, are you trying to say God is not merciful, huh? Is God not merciful to you dukeprince50? I have corrected you that punish is not the right word, judgement and/or justice is
Dont be daft how can Adam also be God, huh? A part of God was breathed into Adam and that is what brought life into him, that is all Chief.
LoJ: I don't understand this. Is it like Schizophrenia?
Now you are beginning to talk out of turns. Are you sure its not you suffering from some sort of mental disorder here, huh? No! Nothing to do with schizophrenia, you are barking up a wrong tree, try another or take a different approach to this
dukeprince50: Good morning NLders, I had an argument with my friends yesterday, we debate on the issue but no one seems to give a reasonable answer. The question is if God is omniscient which means he knows everything about us, knows what we will do even before we are created, is it fair of God to punish us and send us to hell if we sin
You need a paradigm shift in your thinking in order to appreciate and properly understand this thing. First, it isnt necessarily punishment in the real sense but it is judgement, secondly it isnt about sending us to hell if we sin, but it really is about being destroyed, as those in the wrong and/or culpable, along with hell will be destroyed. There is nothing personal in all this, it is just business and how the cookie crumbles
dukeprince50: in his omniscient nature, He already knows we will sin, why punish us when he knows 100%.
Why shouldnt judgement and justice be carried out, huh?
dukeprince50: And if he knows we will sin but expect us to change, then is he really omniscience? cos expectation means ur not 100% certain.
dukeprince50, yes He is omniscient, as He knows those that will change and those that wont change. Case in point, He knew that Pharaoh will never change his mind and ways but still permitted Pharaoh to exist. Make no mistake dukeprince50, God is always 100% certain, do not underestimate God, that will be a foolhardy thing to do. You do that at your peril
LoJ: @ This is an old doctrinal problem. In theology school, we were taught that in classical Christian theology, an attempt to answer this question is made with the idea that God's omniscience is subjected to his will. In other words God is omniscient but can choose to ignore... For enjoyment purposes for instance.
Let's illustrate this with an example. Let say you have downloaded a good movie. In the middle of the movie the main actor is about to die. You have the possibility to fast forward to the end of the movie to know whether he truly dies or not. Or you can choose to ignore and enjoy the movie bit by bit, not because you can't know the end but because you are enjoying it.
In the same vein, it is alleged that God is omniscient in the sense that he can know everything should he choose to, but voluntarily chooses to ignore to allow people free will and to enjoy this movie we call life.
Of course this theological answer solves the earlier problem but creates other ones. Indeed how can someone be sure that he is omniscient? If you don't know something, you wouldn't know about it, since you don't.
Cheers.
Theology schools are seminaries, which often are glorified cemeteries, schools for the spiritually dead, so I am not surprised at what they taught you there.
LoJ: So you are saying they are 3 personalities but one spirit?
Correctly put, 3 personalities but one being
LoJ: So when Jesus was being baptized the spirit was above him and the father spoke, how many spirits were they?
LoJ, it is part of the same and one spirit, just as like, when God breathed into Adam's nostril. It's part of the same and one spirit, just as like, when it came on Mary and the power of the Most High overshadowed her.
paxonel: When scriptures are saying speaking in tongues, it refers to two things : 1. It may be speaking in other languages order than your own mother tongue as seen in Act 2:4, like hausa man who has never spoken yoruba suddenly heared speaking yoruba. 2. It may be speaking incarntations like rokoskebolookukusket!!! or whatever rubbish that does not make sense to the hearing of humans as seen in 1 cor 12:13, but there must be interpretation, otherwise it's absolutely non sense to the holy spirit.
What is absolutely nonsense is what and all that 50 ridiculous and/or ill-advised bulldust God2man2again posted up there
God2man2again and others of his ilk have difficulty in the praying department, so they have to invent this fake gift of speaking in tongues, a reminiscence and variant of "Ọfọ̀ Asẹ" and/or "Ògèdè". They fail to recognise that the real gift of speaking in tongues, is so cool, simple and straightforward, if you have it, you have it, and if you dont, you dont, as not all speak in tongues and so, it doesnt need to be faked, turned on its head and into something else, and like I always and earlier numerously have said, turn it into glorified "ògèdè and/or ọfọ̀" and/or incantation recitations
The gift of speaking in tongue, actually is a sign for unbelievers and/or the unbelieving. The three times, the gift of speaking of tongues was recorded in the Bible, it, on each ocassion happened, to dispel unbelief and/or convert the unbelieving. No one has to believe me on this just on face value, not even God2man2again, as he can verify all what I've said about this from the Bible
Now the thing is, people, especially Africans like God2man2again, because of being accustomed to the culture of "ògèdè and/or ọfọ̀" an/or reciting incantations, are propelled to mix their own ideas and understanding, against the teachings of the Bible and what the Bible actually is saying. They often need a crutch to lean on, so this make-believe PRAY in tongues charade has to be discovered. It is among the last bastion of ATR and/or pagan mentality that needs to be shrugged off
God understands all tongues, so it doesn't matter to God, what earthly tongue anybody chooses to speak in. This thing is so simple and straightforward but guys, like God2man2again, just have just to turn the gift on its head and into something else, like I earlier said into glorified "ògèdè and/or ọfọ̀" or incantations with some ill-informed 50+ve Whys You Must Speak In Tongue
johnydon22: This topic is tricky and i am going to present it with some hypothetical scenarios.
So, it is no news that there are two main thought classes on what a man is, on one hand you have;
Man is spirit class: this posits the existence of an eternal transcendent soul which is the true man, this position posits that the body is just like a cocoon the spirit drives and at death, the spirit abandons this cocoon and goes back to its original state.
Man is matter class: This school of thought argues man is just matter and nothing else. Consciousness is a product of an intricately highly arranged matter.
These two schools of thoughts regarding the nature of man isn't really our primary concern for this thread rather if consciousness defines man.
On this hypothetical scene, Johnydon22 and LordReed are sitting across each other.
Then somehow they swap consciousness, the consciousness of Johnydon goes into LordReed while LordReed's goes to Johnydon which means (Johny's body with LordReed's mind) and (LordReed's body with Johny's mind)
Which is truly LordReed and which is Johny?
Is man his consciousness or his body?
"21So the LORD God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep, and while he slept, He took one of the man’s ribs and closed up the area with flesh. 22And from the rib that the LORD God had taken from the man, He made a woman and brought her to him. " - Genesis 2:21-22
Good Chris Rock movie, back in the day then. It is a remake of the original "Here Comes Mr. Jordan" and similar to Warren Beatty's "Heaven Can Wait"
CoolUsername: Why not both? Man is made up of his consciousness and his body, Johnydon in Lordreed's body is just that: Johnydon in Lordreed's body and vice versa. Like Takeshi Kovacs in a new sleeve, if you're familiar with Altered Carbon,
In essence, two new beings would have been created. Johnydon's body would effect change in Lordreed's behaviour. For example, say Johnydon is athletic where Lordreed is overweight, this could encourage the latter to lead a more active lifestyle. Likewise, Lordreed's habits that caused him to be overweight can be carried over to Johnydon's body.
Edit: Alternatively, let's look at it this way: Johnydon in Lordreed's body would identify as Johnydon while everyone else would identify him as Lordreed. What makes him think that he hasn't gone insane? Maybe some rare form of body dimorphic disorder?
In a world where people can change their bodies to better fit the gender they identify as, given that gender reassignment has been said to reduce the anxiety and depression associated with gender dysphoria. Maybe a case can be made that Johny in Reed's body is still Johny, since he identifies as Johny. What do you think?
What Makes Man? Or better still what is man? Man is a spirit being, residing or housed in a Body and possessing a Soul, so Man is made up of Body, Soul (i.e. uses the heart as an outlet) and Spirit. The Soul has the body and spirit on each opposite sides of it. In a nutshell, Man essentially, is a spirit being with a soul, housed, encapsulated, and/or wrapped up in a human being body suit
The spirit and soul have different faculties, and so the faculties of the spirit, comprises of Fellowship, Conscience, Discernment or Intuition, whilst the faculties of the Soul comprises of the Mind (i.e. consciousness and sub consciousness) or Intellect, Will or Freewill, and Emotions and the Body has 5 faculties of senses, which are, to see via the eyes, hear via the ears, feel via applicable part of the body, smell via the nose and taste via the mouth.
Mind you, the Soul is the most important existence of Man and that is why the battle is and always has been about or over the Soul. All attacks, are ultimately targeted at and for the Soul. Now, the Soul is the first medium key component of Man created by God and Man is tickled and accessed through this same Soul by way of the body and spirit. The Soul, in effective, is the mediator between the body and spirit
The different faculties in the Soul waits, to pick up signals coming from the relevant and/or applicable faculties in the Body and the Spirit. This crucial bit of information, is very important to grasp, that the Soul receives from the Body and deposits into the Spirit. Whatever the Body reads or sees via the eyes, hears via the ears, feels via applicable part of the body, smells via the nose and talks or tastes via the mouth is picked up by the Soul and deposited into the Spirit. The Spirit then, upon receiving things from the Soul, has to deal with or process what the Soul has deposited into its laps.
This is why regulation is very important. It is why we ought to control and oversee what the Soul is picking up from or picking up with the senses. If you have to by all means, eat the chicken or fish, then its necessary to know when and how to spit out the bones, or if it's straw to eat, then know when and how to spit out the sticks, alternatively, if it's liquor to drink, and you cant hold it down so you don't throw it up, then know how or when to stay away from the liquor
johnydon22: I have heard so many argue that this universe, this world is quite flawed mostly due to the existence of things we may philosophically refer to as Natural evils. Famine, hunger, diseases, dangerous animals, natural disasters, death and what not.
Even though personally i think things we refer to as evil are necessary - Topic for another day.
I'd like to experiment on this a bit, create a hypothetical universe.
Assume you are in the position of an All-powerful entity, you want to create a world, what type of world, what model of world do you imagine right now to be the ideal world?
A world where the major player(s) have and/or are of preferred, desired and/or approved character(s). This is where the world is getting to, after and is said and done, there no more be natural evils, famine, hunger, diseases, dangerous animals, natural disasters, death and whatnot.
The end justifies the means of the necessary evil allowed for this greater good of a better world brought about, where the major player(s) have and/or are of preferred, desired and/or approved character(s). This model and/or type of a world, all along, is the position and vision, of the All-powerful entity, this is what the All-powerful entity is working on and bringing about
budaatum: I got it too but struggle reading it as I've read far better but a good book all the same from what I've read of it and if you manage not to swallow the sticks.
I actually had that Peugeot bit johnydon22 lifted, dog-eared, as interesting among other bits too.
gensteejay: That's not a factual thing to say. I have read his submissions on this issue. He's actually right that these things aren't as easy as they seem.
I am also inclined to agree with frank317's viewpoint that when looking at morality, the individualistic aspect should be well recognized, and not just focusing on the intersubjectivity aspect.
After all, every moral issue — rights or wrongs; good or evil — starts from the individual before extending further to other people with common shared interests in the society to form a belief system (out morality).
You've just confirmed what I said, frank317 is miles better than and miles ahead of johnydon22 any time of any day.
The thing about johnydon22 and his pseudo intelligence, he likes to be thought of as having a lot of intelligence and knowledge but who really isnt intelligent or knowledgeable, is that, he is somebody that insists that God doesnt exist, God isnt real, well money too, isn't either but he still believe in it but not in God, what a bummer.
