Hello everyone, Please can I travel with a ten day old baby by road for 8 hrs trip? I want to charter a car for myself and her to travel to another state for some time because the one we live in presently is having issues with corona/covid19. Is it safe to do an 8hr trip with a ten day old baby? Has anyone here done that before? Thanks |
LegitDiva:We thought about taking flight but the airport itself is a danger zone because people working there might have been exposed to foreigners before FG shut down international flights. coolangel54:I am very sure of the new location, more supplies and more safe and convenient. I have no choice but to go, trust me if I could avoid it I would. |
Nyxx123:Thanks a lot. that's what I plan to do, get a clean air conditioned car and go with my mom. I just tire for this corona virus matter coming up at the very wrong time. |

Everybody help me thank God for successful pregnancy journey and safe delivery. I gave birth to my darling DD on 17th of March2020. We are all doing very well and healthy. I no sabi put story make una no vex, but my BS is basically that I had to do emergency CS due to unrelenting high blood pressure and preeclampsia. Everything went well. Thank God. |
Jman06:Fair enough ![]() |
Jman06:Lol @ bold ![]() Likewise men should stop complaining when women look for rich husbands that can provide for them and keep them as trophy wives instead of co breadwinners. Enough of the 'liability' and 'gold digger' insults thrown at such women. |
crackkhaus:What a question Inside of Africa where for a very long time women were supposed to depend on men for livelihood and even in religious books till today men are ordained by God to be providers. Let's pretend we don't understand why many women don't see the need to have their own sources of income. As for your question about how women without income should help themselves, we have to do away with traditional roles and women should take up jobs and earn money after marriage. That is why it's extremely imperative for men to assist with housework or typical women's chores to make things easier for their wives. |
Jman06:Problem is that men want women to traditional duties but try feel too big to share women's roles. Either too big or too proud or too inconsiderate. |
rvpbae:Okay I was talking about medium size with 28 pieces. I am not sure of giga price but I think its 4000 |
Jman06:Add more sarcasm to this your comment na, the way you added sarcasm to the first one so that I can truly know that you agreed with me ![]() |
rvpbae:I don't know of little Angel's but molfix is 1800 for size 5 and 3 |
Jman06:Lol, Very funny Tell men to do housework they start getting angry and offended but they are perfectly fine with women working like Jackie to feed them and the children and join in paying houserent and other bills. Men are not too superior to spend their wives sweat but they are too superior to be responsible for housework. |
Hello mums, I have a question to ask sorry if I sound a bit ignorant by asking but I wanted to know Why are many moms against CS so much to the point of endangering their lives? I have a friend who lost a previous pregnancy to BP issues then she took in again and also had BP issues again. When her due date was close her doctor scheduled her for CS because of her BP but she didn't go, she stayed home until labour started and became so severe before going to the hospital just because he wanted to give birth through vagina. That act of hers was life threatening because it's possible to have seizures from BP while in labour but she didn't care. Another woman I live in the same area with, she lost her life from bleeding after pushing a very big baby through her tiny pelvis. This woman was also scheduled for CS but she and her husband agreed she will not do it but will give birth at home through vagina. Another one of my sister in laws also suffered severe cervix tears and had to be stitched from anus to vagina because of pushing out a very big baby of almost 5kg. The woman was scheduled for CS but she refused to go and decided to give birth naturally instead so she stayed home till labour started that's how she ended up having very bad tears when giving birth. The woman lost so much blood during delivery and was in hospital for a long time because of the trauma her system went through Please I just want to know why women are so against CS. Personally I don't think its that bad or maybe its my ignorance, a part from longer recovery period or cost why exactly do so many people hate it? |
crackkhaus:If you like outsource, if you like do it yourselves, the important thing is that you realise it is now your responsibility since your wife is feeding you and paying bills. Its however important for men to have the knowledge because of emergency situations |
Jman06:As long as una gree to be entering kitchen to cook along with wife and wake up to take care of baby, go shopping in market for food. sweep, wash etc. Then well and good, women will take up all these responsibilities. |
Mindlog:While the wife is hustling the husband should realise that housework is now shared responsibility between him and his wife. Cooking cleaning, child care etc. One person cannot carry housework on her head and also be breadwinner then the other one that is supposed to be stronger than her is only acting as co breadwinner |
Asapretty:Please go to the hospital asap |
Men who cannot cook and clean and care for kids should not get married either. Enough of the idiotic double standards. |
Mums please help me, I don't know if this is labor pains, it started on my right side of my groin and spreading to my right lap, all round the thigh Just one side. For like two hours now. Its consistent, does not come and go. Can labour pain feel like this? |
Mzleemah, update gender to XX, thanks |
Please help me mums, ![]() For the past two nights I have not been able to sleep on my sides. I normally only sleep on either left or right side because of huge bump but since yesterday if I sleep on my sides i start feeling like i am choking and not getting enough air and i will start breathing deep to get more air, This is very uncomfortable and i can't fall asleep like that. If instead I sit up and rest my back against something and try to sleep in that position, it works and sleep starts taking me immediately because I don't get choked like that but it's very hard to sleep while sitting down. I can't cope without sleep, please help me. Since morning I have been feeling feverish and extremely tired because of lack of sleep. How can I stop the choking and be able to sleep comfortably on my side? Right and left? Thank you. |
spixytinxy: lol, I have never heard that treatment before. Thank them for their help if they offer anything but vet everything first. |
spixytinxy:Mamas that go to work with belle are really trying o. I was working earlier in my pregnancy before I quit in late first trimester and walahi it was not easy. When morning sickness and tiredness is there. Na drag I dey drag my self up every morning to prepare myself and my baby and cook before work. Anyway ignore those oversabi advisors, Nigerians can like to do itk for another person matter. |
377:Lol, thank God ooo, I like it like that. Till now this morning strong harmattan breeze still dey blow my side for Abuja. I hate hot weather like kilode..... |
zaynie:Thank you so much for the helpful advice. Will keep the pap therapy in mind. Thanks One you hear outbreak of anything, keep your child at home. Please, it can be very inconvenient but do so for the sake of that child. My worry is that you cannot know if any child in the back up creches also has the sickness causing the outbreak. Some might be asymptomatic or even symptomatic and the creche staff will continue to keep the child with healthy kids, maybe because no room for isolation or they are scared to tell the parents to keep the child at home. My former creche was like that. The lady in charge of the creche keeps very obviously sick babies with healthy ones because the moms have jobs to get to and cannot keep the children at home. I m supposed to go to antenatal tomorrow but I might have to cancel that one and stay home with baby because I don't know if any of my regular creches have been exposed to the rotavirus or whatever is causing this outbreak. ![]() |
Chimzy09:Thank God she's better now. I wish we know for sure what caused this outbreak so people can know what to avoid and which precautions to take. Abuja own is not cholera, at least I don't think it is. I know someone who only give bottled water to their kids (like myself)and are meticulous with hygiene and they were also affected. |
