The worst are people who live abroad (the ones who have JAPA-ed). You are not one of us in the actual sense. Please don't make our nation worse than it already is.

The thieving politicians have been elected on our watch. We let this happen to us collectively because of tribalism or short-term gains. We are already undermining ourselves as a country. We don't need more problems from people who have gotten away. If you are fortunate enough to leave, enjoy your new country, but don't add problems for us back home.
I am not your enemy guy. Sooner or later you will be dumping the Naira whether you like it or not. I am doing this sooner.

I hope this part will make you very happy When what is coming finally arrived our politicians will become slaves not just them alone, everyone who has made huge sums of money in a crooked way their money will be confiscated because they won’t be able to explain how they got it.

Yeah!!! You failed to mention that you buy the best performing assets and stay away from clear losers. I won’t touch the Naira or anything denominated in it with a pole. Don’t fight the trend folks, I learned this the hard way.

Do you hear what is currently about to happen in Argentina? That will be the fate of all the nations in the world very soon, one by one.

I don't hate him but there should be a valid reason why he should be saved and remain on the show
I am not yet a big fan of the show but with the little time i have spent watching the show so far, I would say I am glad he was saved.

The last task given to the housemates, the one they were told to make a video, it was this guy that was pulling everyone together, trying yo make sure the video happened. They were all in disarray; if not for him there would never have been a picture of anything not to talk of shooting a video. I guess those relentless effort he put in that task this last week came back to reward him.

I am saying this intuitively; that dude won’t be Leaving anytime soon, he his one of those people who might never truly deserve something but for some reason things always seems to turn out in their favor. It either they start doing the right thing at the right time or finding themselves at the right place at the right time. So, start to get use to the feelings of seeing his face on your TV.

The best way to play your patriotic card is by going into politics where you will have a real influence in things or by joining the army with the aim of eliminating Boko haram, bandits etc.

I am afraid to say your Holding of the Naira has no real influence to this country.

Politics / Re: Naira Is More Valuable Than Dollar And Pound. Ignorance Is Killing Us. Wake Up! by narite: 6:39pm On Aug 11, 2023
Biodun556:
THE VALUE OF THE NAIRA.
~Eruobodo.

A currency's value is what is can fetch those who use it as a means of exchange!

Those in America use dollars and those in the UK use pounds sterling. Emiratis use Dirhams and Indians Rupees. Nigerians therefore use the Naira.

The Naira today, is equivalent to 600 units to the GBÂŁ and 500 units to the US$.

Though we are quick to lampoon the Naira as worthless, but let us compare how much value each of these currencies equivalents fetch their owners/holders, within their borders?

In the US, a dollar ($) may not buy you more than a small bottle of water, while N500 will buy you a pack of 12 of the same bottles of water in Nigeria!

A pound (GBÂŁ) may not buy you even a small loaf of bread in London, but in Lagos, N600 will buy you and your partner, breakfast for 2, consisting of one N250 big loaf of bread, 4 fried eggs and 2 bottles of water!

Days ago, I bought 50 pieces of medium sized oranges from the Ketu fruit market for N1,000, that's just $2! I bought 3 pineapples for N500 ($1)!

A litre of fuel costs N160 in Lagos, but cost $0.86 (N430) in New York! While I know people who pay cad1,700 (N500,000) per month for their glorified room and parlour self-contained in Ottawa, that is what a friend pays in 6 months, for a 2 bedroom apartment, with separate toilet, bathroom and proper kitchen, in Dolphin Estate, Ikoyi!

So why do Nigerians make so much noise over the value of their currency, when it still fetches them more value than the other currencies that they pitch the Naira against? The answer is simple: the "values" of Nigerians!

While Nigerians reacted with consternation at Dino Melaye's obnoxious display of his stolen wealth, the average Nigerian behaves exactly like Dino Melaye! From the man on the streets to the Churchpreneurs who claim to represent God!

They produce nothing, but want to flaunt everything!

Someone lamented to me about his wife's tenant, who has failed to pay N120,000 rent, for nearly a year, but slaughtered a ram and made festivities, worth N150,000, during the last Moslem "Ileya" festival!
Ask me what the man produces? Zilch!

Had this same debtor taken the N150,000, wasted on the one day feasting to the market, it will be more than enough to set up a fried Yam, sweet potatoes, Akara business, that can net him N300,000 monthly, and take him out of poverty and debt forever!

So, because Nigerians are unproductive at home, but consume from used clothes, to fake hair and eye lashes, to even PMS, from the abroad, they keep whining about the value of the dollar/pound-sterling against their currency.

There are universities in Nigeria, and I had my education entirely in Nigeria! So, if I chose to send my children abroad, what is the headache of the government in my personal decision, should the currency in their country of choice proves unaffordable to me? Who send me?

My personal definition of the problem with Nigeria is that, the policies of the State are manipulated to suit the indulgences of certain classes of Nigerians, who feed fat on the miseries of the masses.

Government resorted to importing fuel because some privileged Nigerians criminally destroyed our refining capacities. Rather than punish them, we put the punishment on Nigerians.

Government "subsidized" the same imported fuel, to create artificial opportunities for some privileged people to loot our treasury, under the artificially created system of "subsidies".

These Nigerians and their fraudulent economists should stop fooling themselves about the poor exchange rates of the nation's currency. 95% of the citizens of this country need food, water, Medicare, etc, obtainable in Naira!

If some useless, lecherous and unproductive, yet entitled, vanity flaunting elements like Dino Melaye, need foreign currencies to feed their insanity, what has that got to do with Nigeria?

If you want to indulge in the zero nutrition Orange, imported from wherever and sold at times ten that of super tasting Oranges from Benue, must Nigeria care about your price plight? Who send you?

If you chose Pizza over Aboki freshly cooked spicy bread and eggs, please find enough Naira to indulge in your borrowed Italian taste. #KokanAye!

This argument over our poor currency is a lie of the elite to pass their problems as everyone's!

Days ago, I made a 4 litre bowl of cooked beans (enough to feed at least 8 adults) from a N200 ($0:40) measure of beans! Add another N500 ($1) worth of sweet potatoes, and you have a super nutritious meal for 8 adults!

That's less than $3 in total, N1,500 (including the costs of other stuff like onions, peppers and oil), to feed 8 adults?

Before you complain that the Naira is weak, tell me what you need the foreign currencies for, and #Eruobodo will show you how you and Dino Melaye are related!
I feel deeply sad for the 69 peoples that liked your post. This has gone far beyond nepotism.

I hardly watch this show, it hard for one not to hear about it, it wildly popular. Decided to take a glance at it, just to see what it all about. I must confess, I got engrossed with the show; seeing different people with different personalities, trying to live together and some days working together to achieve a common goal. I find it entertaining.

This guy called Adekunle is the only one whose name and face I have memorized. Dude is handsome, eloquent and really smart but sadly; he lacks Confidence, Self esteem, he his so smart that he consciously, perfectly in a chameleon’s way tries to hide this weaknesses. The dude fascinate me.

Honestly, if anyone on this thread (mostly the active individuals) do not have at least 30% of their net worth tied to the dollar up till very now, I would truthfully suggest they humbly give their money to someone else to manage it for them.

Let face the harsh realities; those of us who do not jump on this dollar train are in great massive loss, I don’t care what you invested in. The loss might not directly reflect on your portfolio but it is there, it is significantly there.

binance p2p marketplace should have at least 100m usd daily volume for Usdt/ng while 100m usd is 90bn naira now, don’t underrate the p2p stuff because a lot of people are trading millions every second
The Naira volume on Binance is too small to really effect the value of the Naira. The real volume causing havoc on the Naira is definitely taking place somewhere else. The amount of Naira changing hands on Binance is really small to have any effect on the price of Naira. Binance are in no way the problem.

The problem is our government, they are the real problem.

Modified: I just checked, it is much, but figures keep increasing based on the falling naira...billions are traded monthly....

half a billion per day now...the candle...the naira dey on im own bull market now.. grin grin
Half a billion is been traded per day and you think that is enough to really have a huge effect on the price of the Naira. There are over 54 trillion naira in circulation, the amount been traded on Binance is not even up to 0.1% of the Naira supply.

It like saying an exchange where less than 1,000 bĂtĂŻcĂČïñ are been traded every day is majorly responsible for the huge swings in bĂŻtĂcöin price.

Romance / Re: New Marriage About To Crash. by narite: 2:25pm On Aug 09, 2023
Ehinjuola:
My husband is not the same man I fell in love with.

My husband changed totally after wedding day, in fact, it started on the wedding night and its giving me a lot of concern.

It's not that he is not talking to me or we are fighting, but he is not the cheerful happy person anymore.

After months of trying to get what the problem is, he finally opened up to me and I don't know what my fault is, I think he is overreacting.

My husband works in an insurance company and he is just a junior staff, he earns 150k per month, so he is not doing that bad.

When we wanted to get married, my dad wrote the wedding list and everything he would bring, when he saw them, he fumed that they were too much and they should reduce it but my dad insisted that he won't collect it twice, I also told him if he really loves me, he would provide them, he could get help from his family too, it is called bride price and other things, and it is once.

We had little issue then but he later resolved it.

He brought everything they ask him for

During the wedding, my parents told him to buy a cow, rent a hall and decorate it then they'll take care of other things. He said he didn't have money for a big hall and he would prefer a field ground but my dad insisted that rain could disrupt things and he has many people coming.

That almost cause issues too, I had to support him with 50k to get the hall because I know who my dad is, he won't back out.

I didn't know how he did it, he took the hall and designed it, he bought cow too.

His family brought food and everything went fine and that was it.

I don't know what was keeping him moody until he spoke up.

He said I couldn't fight for him, I was there supporting my parents and watch them extorting him, did I even know he had to collect loan to pay for those things?

I got angry because he used the word 'extorting'.

He was the one that wanted to have my hand in marriage and if he cherish me, he should do all they wanted since he is not paying twice.

After I said this, he stopped talking in the house, he comes home, eat and go to bed.

I tried talking to him but he would listen but not talk, he is cold to himself and prefer his privacy.

Have I said something wrong?

I don't like whats happening. My marriage is too young to be going through all these.

I am tired, I don't know what to do.
Normally, I would have written a lots of words that would definitely leave you convinced after you have gone through them, giving you a great paradigm shift.

Sadly, I am too tired to talk, think and even write. So I will drop a quick fix to your marriage, just a quick fix.

Humans are emotional balloons, emotions blocks our proper way of thinking (seeing things logically, being genuinely open to other’s feedback or criticism) and if this emotions are not being handled carefully they can escalate producing a bigger problem out of something that once seems so trivia subsequently ruining dreams, friendship and of course marriage.

Tell your husband he his right and you were wrong, you should have supported him during those moment but you were too caught off in the wedding taking place and completely forgetting how he his doing, coming up with all the money needed. Promise in the next months you will personally give him 50% of all the money he spent for the wedding and you will also see to it that you both pay the loans back together.

Let him know both of you are in this mess together and this mess was created due to lack of deep communications between both of you and it something you both have to work on to prevent same future mistake.

Do not be scared of how you will find the money to pay him back, just put in a genuine effort, I can deeply sense that your husband is a very responsible man, he will not really put that burden of paying back all the loans or collecting all that 50% I spoke of earlier. Do this and there is no other way you could have tell him better that he his not alone. He never will be.

Pls, do all you can do to keep that man. There is no such thing as husband anymore. And pls do all this while giving him is favorite meal and looking extremely seductively beautiful at the same time.

Meeeeehnnn, it seems I end up writing a bit too much. SO tired.

I am an ardent believer in the laws of creation, particularly “ The Karmic Effects” for this reason; when we get to a particular point in the relationship, a point not too far, I quickly tell them I am a chronic womanizer ( not really a womanizer but that for another day), emotionally unstable person.

I always advise them to have boyfriends some of them are not always comfortable with this cause they are seeing things from a different perspective and I try to make them see things through my eyes. I try to make them know things do not always turn out the way we want so they should prepare for such scenarios.

All in all, I try as much as possible to shield myself from wrath of nature and from all this lady’s wrath. Curses are real.
