Whilst it is commendable however this is beyond backward.

Have they put measures in place to tackle the health challenges this employees will face in 20 - 25years time? When they start dealing with Severe Asthma, COPD et al due to extensive exposure to dust

Other ailments such as back ache due to constant bending or handling of waste products without proper safety clothing to protect them?
What happened to buying or even getting the engineering graduates we see almost weekly on nairaland who build cars from recycled materials to build renewable/battery operated type of cars for the sole purpose of sweeping the roads?

Over recent years we have seen how NOT so well this scheme has worked....from OBJ's attempt in abuja to Lagos etc...they start and have this whole charade of "employing" bla bla bla and in 2 years time the scheme has packed up due to lack of sustainability.

We as Nigerians have to start thinking about Long term goals/Long term decisions because we DEFINITELY have the resources to. I dont care whether PDP stole money or APC stole Money.
If we are to believe reports, Abacha stole trillions in dollars, yet PDP allegedly managed to do the same.....clearly, there is still money which can be used to move this nation forward.

Have a fabulous weekend everybody!!!

BTW - SEUN, have a word with Lalastical and whoever else your MOD's are please. The sort of topics that grace the frontpage over the past couple of months will devalue this forums worth.
It seems like your MOD's list the same topics on Linda's blog and paste it here...Majority of Nairalanders visit Linda et al blog and we dont want to come here to read the same ish.
We come here to read educational, motivational and real life issues with a tiny bit of fun not daily gossips of the lives of an "instagramer" or gossip/celeb stalker

Rant Over!!!"

FamilyRe: Help!!!! My Younger Brother Is Gay What Do I Do? by natasha: 9:30pm On Aug 19, 2015
When will Nigerians learn to mind their damn biz ?
Learn not to judge someone just because they sin differently from U.
Be ur brothers confidant, friend n buddy. Let him be free to confide his fears, worries, goals, aspirations wt u.
One of d ways we can change/influence sum1 is by bn close 2 dem...or bn an inspiration to them or bn sum1 they respect (not fear oo).....and wt time, your brother may change his orientation. ....and if he doesn't, he is still ur brother so love him as he is.

He loves her but she is not sure with her feelings for him cause a lot happened in the past but he is focused now and know what he wants he even bought her an engagement ring last month she said she wanted to think about it.......Think she loves the Naija guy and their culture
so clearly she wants the Yoruba cheat of a guy for husband....no need to waste my time typing an epistle.
i will save it for 2 years time when she comes back here posting "stories that touch" about how her horseband (yelzz Horseband!!) is cheating on her and how she is always fighting girls bla bla bla....
When will ladies learn, what you see a man doing whilst dating is WHO HE IS. Dont expect him to change because he is married. If he was cheating whilst dating expect him to carry on when married (some of them might just become more discreet about it)

You must understand that just because one isnt ovulating doesnt mean they cant fall pregnant. A lady can fall pregnant ANYTIME within her cycle, before or after ovulation.
Ovulation just means she is MOST likely to fall pregnant if shagged during that time
FamilyRe: A Marriage Requirement:guy What Can You Say To This? by natasha: 5:57pm On Aug 13, 2015
You are a fraud and uncultured guest and I'll mannered. How dare you invade someone's privacy? Is this how you repay kindness? A man trusted you enough to shelter you in abuja that houses ain't easy to come by, prayed his innermost concerns and worries in your presence and then you in turn ransacked his house and publish your findings for the world to see. People like you are terrible.

MoD's please delete or close this thread. This is an invasion of privacy and a breach of data

FamilyRe: My In - Laws Are Not Happy With Me. by natasha:
Learn to pick your battles wisely.
Keep your opinion or views about your BIL to ur self and your hubby. Your inlaws can take criticism from their blood NOT from u, irrespective of how "close" you may think u r are 2 them.

Ad for the extended visits, make no apologies for that my dear. It's gone with the wind and if she's still angry, disregard those feelings. M sure she won't have felt that way if it was her daughter's home neither would she hv stayed that long in those circumstances. Make she take dt ish wt her son if she's still catching feelings.

With regards to the wedding gifts, I strongly believe that after FOUR years of marriage, any gift you haven't used you definitely DON'T need and cam do WITHOUT.
What do you think your in laws home is, a storage facility? If those gifts were at your parents place, I can assure you they will probably be using some of them ( it's human nature). It doesn't make ur reaction unnecessary nor does it make your in laws bad people, it's just a natural thingy.
So my dear, if you are bothered then pls arrange 4 those gifts 2 be moved elsewhere or give them out to couples who may need them or open a shop and start selling them or keep quiet and turn a blind eye as they keep dwindling because you clearly have enough with no real need for them having been without these gifts for over 4yrs.
Stay blessed and be wise Mrs smiley kiss
FamilyRe: One Thing In Your Family That Makes You Proud And Bitter by natasha: 6:08pm On Aug 12, 2015
WhatDoYouMean:
A family (according to DICTIONARY.COM) can be a basic social unit consisting of parents and their children, considered as a group, whether dwelling together or not: the traditional family. OR

...a social unit consisting of one or more adults together with the children they care for: a single-parent family.

In Africa, especially in Nigeria, some people are proud of their family while others hate the family they were born into. This may be attributed to various reasons. Whatever the case, there is always a dual story of every family.

Please, kindly tell us one thing that makes you proud of your family and another one thing that makes you bitter with your family.

The name of your family or any member thereof is not necessary. Just go ahead to drop your points. Thanks

Ishilove, Lalasticlala, Seun and other Mods: If you guys are more proud of your families than other Nairalanders, then move to FP... grin grin grin

If you love ur self or ur relatives, stay at least 400 miles away from ife. Dem de find person head to use escorts dia king. They use both indigenes and non indigenes (though I heard they prefer strangers)

Whilst I think it's a barbaric and backward way and absolutely do not support that aspect of the funeral rites, it's my duty 2 share this info to he who has ears, he who has eyes that can read.

Overall, I think we can all observe this fascinating ritual and learn more about the ife/yoruba culture to enlighten ourselves (observing from a mango tree ....somewhere faraway of ife)

TeHN:
Dear All,

We've now had the time to consider the validity and severity of Iyasamd’s case by physically visiting her and going through evidences submitted for consideration in making a judgement.

We are pleased to announce we’ve reached an unanimous decision to accept this case.

Our proposed action plan after considering her pressing needs is as follows:

Expiring rent – We shall help her pay for an extra year’s rent (50K) on the condition that we pay the rent directly to the landlord

Various loans to balance – We shall help her pay the balance of her loans (64k) on the condition that we pay them directly to the lenders

Stocking of shop100K to re-stock the shop. She will be required to work with our field worker in procuring all the items as required

One-off subsidization of her children’s school fees – Natasha has wonderfully offered to help with this so no additional help from us with this.

Lastly, although we already have an estimated budget of 214K designated for this from balance of funds but we will implore anyone willing to partner us in bringing smile back to Iyasamd’s face to please send us an email @ ehelpersnetwork@gmail.com so we can provide details of how you can make donations to this worthy cause. We hope to be in a position to close the case by the end of this month

Kind Regards

TeHN

PoliticsRe: APC Chieftain Sponsors Weddings Of 7 Female Idps by natasha: 5:05pm On Aug 09, 2015
So how are they meant to start a family? Maintain a family? Provide stability to the children unborn?
My opinion, this is madness. Are they going to now sponsor the rest of their daily feeds, clothing, miscellaneous, transportation, shelter etc?
A wise man would hv provided them wt a source of income ie craft/trade/capital to start a business or relocate to a safer part of the region and start life rather than waste resources on funding a wedding.
I just hope it's the personal APC Cheiftain's money that was used and NOT party or govt funds because I find no justifiable reason to warrant such frivolous waste of public funds

Where I come from. It is NOT wrong nor frowned upon to marry your second cousin (ie you and I are first 's cousins, our kids can get married).

However it is a common practice in Islam and Judaism (jews) that they encourage and marry 1st cousins. The north marry 1st cousins all the time. If you live in the core north you ll agree

FamilyRe: My Wife Says Her Libido Is Dead. by natasha: 11:11am On Jul 30, 2015
Are you a passionate lover? Do you help her with chores in the house? do you compliment her? Do you just do your "biz" without getting her wet, engaging in pre-intimacy, making her come?
Sometimes men just ignore that it takes 2 to enjoy intimacy and if you just peck, squeeze her balloons like orange and then thrust in and out, no caressing her hair, body etc just focused on yourself women get bored and see it as nothing to look forward to.

I think its important you reflect on you and the answer/solution might just lay with you
