Thank God I resigned five months ago. Being sacked for non justifiable reason(s) creates a psychological trauma of not being good enough or not needed of which converse is the case. Even if Union bank doesn't sack now, by next year December, all the contract staff will most likely be laid off.

usmanspihn: I hate to say this but it is the truth about kate Henshaw. The last season was worse. Amarachi should have come 2nd and Godwin ogechukwu shuda been the winner. Does ƨ̣̣̣̇̇̇̇hε̲ know how hard it is to learn violin, the limited players we have in Nigeria not to talk of hiphop violist mehn. And again sentiments occurs in Nigeria very concerning this children on the talent shows
That Godwin guy is something else. He is just too good. Hiphop violist! He plays the hip hop in a unique version. I was so impressed when he even scored a classical song from Yanni so perfectly. He is good enough for an internation Orchestra.

What are you still arguing about Miss? When more than three persons start saying the same thing you should know that there must be something really wrong in the subject they referring to.

Listen, no one is asking her to be emotional because any emotional person will out rightly be biased from the onset. We are complaining about her lack of Professionalism. Uncle Ben of Project Fame is far far more strict than Kate Henshaw and people don't complain because he is so professional about it unlike Kate. Kate pass across as someone who is mannerless and uncultured and YES! She is always sentimental.

Talking about the kids that performed last time, there was nothing sensational in their performance. They didn't do a typical dance, they concentrated so much on the stunts which wasn't even in sync with the song. She gave them a yes just to encourage them (not bad) but she so much sweet talked the performance which was just average / less than average. The swinging of the little girl in the middle was not rhythmical, very awkward.

Talking about last year, the Amarachi girl wasn't too bad with the dance steps but she was no match for the violin guy. They don't even come close.

Like most jobs in Nigeria, Kate Henshaw must have gotten the job through the back door. If a thorough screening was conducted for Judges, she wouldn't even come close with that other big dummy variable that walked off the stage too. Moreover, the way she opens that are big mouth is so appalling I must say. Nonsense!
TV/MoviesRe: Nigeria Got Talent.. Bad Judges by naturalwaves: 8:16pm On Nov 26, 2013
The talented dude with the violin was supposed to win it last year. He even scored a classical song from Yanni perfectly but it was sentimentally given to the little girl that danced. SMH.

The Judges are so unprofessional; Kate Henshaw is rude and saucy. That fat dude behaves like a dummy variable, very irritating. He was even shouting "is it by force?" I don't see why they have to disgrace contestants. The other slimmer dude makes unnecessary sarcstic mockery of contestants too. The whole show is rubbish and belongs to the bins.
RomanceRe: Some Girls Don't Know How To Chat by naturalwaves: 12:13pm On Nov 23, 2013
Do girls really deserve all these attention of trying to chat them up and all? If you look at it very well, they are inconsequential in the scheme of things. They are to be chatted and played with when one is suffering from jobless joblessness(in obiamgbon's voice). Rather than chat with a girl, I would rather chat with sensible guys that we can discuss ideas except the intelligent ones. Most of the girls all over ere hungry girls. When they call you 'dearie', sweetheart, honey etc watch it! They are about to beg. The next line after you say 'yes' will be I need your help, can you help me? I always put them off with the reply......maybe, if it isn't about money (That's a killer reply!). You need to see the reactions after such. For others that are experts at the game, they will start chatting you up frequently for about three days before the main request SMH. Most girls don't even know that those guys bugging them just want to bang them.Nothing more! When guys want to search for a wife material, they know how to do that. Women are generally not worth the headache, Abeg! There are a whole lot of better things to do.
Moreover, women are like shadows, you follow them, they run from you, you get back from them, they follow you.
Either FUNAAB or UNAAB ,it can never be compared with THE UNIVERSITY OF IBADAN, in UI we dont live on past glory alone, we are far ahead of FUNAAB even when it comes to recent GLORY, your lecturers are either alumni of UI or were taught by alumni of UI
The primary purpose of the university is LEARNING AND RESEARCH, and when it comes to that FUNAAB is centuries behind UI
...When a school was established as early as 1948 and another one was established in 1988. Is it not logical that most early school goers will be alumnus of the one established in 1948? Yeah, we had lecturers that finished from UI and some other schools in my time. How does that merely prove that UI is better? undecided. Some of the so called lecturers from UI are nothing to write home about while some are good. I don't want to mention any name with respect to that.
most of you Shouting FUNAABITE were either not given admission by UI or OAU after so many trials, or why on earth will you compare a school that admit candidates with 180 in jamb to a school that even those will 250 will be struggling to meet the Standard.
THE STANDARD IS CLEAR.
Hasty generalisation! How can you say people settle for Unaab because they were turned down by UI? For your information, I got admitted to study Electrical Engineering in your Almighty UI but I turned it down. In the past, UI's method of using just UME scores and O level aggregate was not the best screening method particularly where a bulk of those results were through examination malpractice. Some riff raffs gained admission through it. You talk as if Unaab just offer admission for those with a score for 200 in the UME without any form of screening (that shows you are a biased person). There are also people that scored even 260 in Ume and never got admitted to Unaab. The practice of now inviting those with less than 200 for screening is just to boost the financial resources of the school but if such candidate(s) can convincingly spank the post UME with good aggregates and a cummulative that meets the requirement, admission will be offered.
PLEASE AFTER YOUR FIRST DEGREE, U CAN COME TO UI FOR POSTGRADUATE STUDIES AND SEE THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN QUANTITY AND QUALITY
For graduates of Unaab, UI is not the first school of choice for post graduate studies. Do you think most people come to UI for post graduate studies because of your own acclaimed 'quality'? You must be dreaming sir. Sorry to burst your bubble, most people prefer UI because post graduate studies is so cheap there. For example, school fees alone in Computer science for part time at Unilag (2 years duration ) will cost about 450k. When you add other hidden charges, you have to budget 500k +. Can same be said of UI? I doubt if the school fees will even cross the 200k/ 250k mark.
NOTE: This is not to say that Unaab is better than UI or otherwise. Unaab is a very good school, one of the finest in all ramifications in the SW and in Nigeria and as such, can be compared with the likes of UI, OAU and UNILAG. Never say what is not true or what you don't know by being biased in your analysis.Don't rubbish the image of a good school. One eediat even said Unaab should be compared with the likes of Mapoly and Tasued. Now, that's hating.

As compiled by Dominiong from several sources, this is what some have to say.......

“There won’t be any pressure on us against Mexico, because we’ll be physically and mentally prepared for the match. But I repeat that Mexico are a dangerous and very skilful team. We’ve witnessed their resilience since losing to us 6-1, a result which did not prevent them from reaching the final,” Nigeria coach Manu Garba

“This is going to be a totally different game to that one because there’s nothing less than the world title at stake. I don’t think they’ll be going out there feeling overconfident and we won’t be feeling inferior in any way either. It’s a whole new story. It’s totally different." Mexico’s Marco Antonio Granados

“I’m sure they won’t feel great about that first result. They’ll want to put pressure on us and we’ll have to be careful. We’ll respect them, but it’s hard to go against us when we’re playing our good football.” Kelechi Iheanacho

" Obviously we started badly, so there was nowhere to go but up for us. The last games were difficult ones, but they’ve made us stronger and more together in the team and they’ve prepared us for the final." Mexico captain Ulises Rivas

"The first game that we played against Mexico is over now. It’s in the past, so we’re focusing on the next one. It will be a hard game, because it’s a final and both sides have a lot to play for. We are sure to be totally focused before we kick off." Nigeria captain Musa Muhammed

“I went to all of them, especially their forwards, and I told them: ‘you must win the final, and if you don’t then football just isn’t fair.’ Sweeden striker Valmir Berisha

“We saw them play before our semi-final, and they looked strong against Argentina. We’re hoping for a repeat performance [of the group match]. In football it’s difficult to make predictions but, God willing, we'll beat them again. Mexico can make all the changes they want, but it will be the same team we faced in the group stage.”. Nigeria sensational midfielder Abdullahi Alfa

“We’ve got a score to settle with them and we want to face them in the final and beat them. We’ll be looking for revenge for what happened. That’s one of the great things about football – it gives you the chance to get revenge. We’ll be battling to the very end.” Mexico Ivan Ochoa

"When the Nigerian team get into their fast passing rhythm in attack, a squeal comes with each pass – aye, aye, aye in a high register, like a chirping bird, until the ball is lost. Then a low ooh of disappointment, almost disapproval. I think it's a strategy their supporters adopted to motivate the boys and keep the opposition team off balance. My take? It works pretty well." Iranian Sport Journalist Boa al Reezak

“We’ve got better since that opener. We’ve become closer and we’re going to chase them all over the field; we’re going to press them with our attackers and we won’t rest. We’ll go at them for 90 minutes until we’re sure the trophy is ours.” Kelechi Iheanacho

I laughed when I saw the statistics people were referring to too. Truth be told, this under 17 Eaglets will deal with any team on a good day be it Brazil or Argentina or Mexico. They are desperate and hungry for success and they know what is at stake so people should just relax. Unlike what you said though, Brazil has won the cup back to back in 1997 and 1999. Nigeria was on the verge of equaling that record in the 2009 edition after winning it in 2007 but the selfish play of our forwards never allowed that.

Music/RadioRe: How Don Jazzy's Twitter Rants Exposed His Business Foolishness And Selfishness by naturalwaves: 12:48am On Nov 08, 2013
I don't know why Don Jazzy is always acting so childish and immature. He wanted to appeal to pity by going to twitter to score the first point but it is obvious that Nigerians are not foools that just swallow everything. His immaturity and lack of confidence came to the fore when he was signing those papers with Dbanj and Kanye in the US. Immediately he saw the foreign guys, he became so dull and could not even utter a word, no confidence , nothing. He could not even socialise with them. It was Dbanj that was doing all the talking and calling on Don Jazzy. He signed the papers, only for him to get back to Nigeria and say he isn't interested again. Very immature behaviour! Of course, you wouldn't expect Dbanj to follow suite.

As it stands, Don Jazzy has no proof that the song belongs to him or that Wande stole the song. Bringing out his own version is not enough proof as we cannot tell whose version was before the other. I don't know why Don Jazzy wants to play the victim all the time. Goint to rant on twitter was so immature and Wande put him in his place with his own mature response which is not good for the image of the so called Don. Afterall, it wasn't a fight, why not call him or even invite him to see you to talk over the differences? This has obviously showed that Wande's decision to leave didn't go down with him at all. He must be really bittered by it. Eeyah! Nothing lasts forever. Grow up Don Jazzy!

The funniest thing was the day I got 3 newspapers including complete sports, punch and one other one (I think it was Tribue). They only edited their different titles but the body of the news was the same thing for all of them. I initially thought they were all written by the same reporter/ writer, I checked and saw different names on the news report and after the write up, none of them said courtesy of goal.com or curled from goal.com as that particularly news was from goal.com. Just too bad! No wonder Getty images always put it's name on all it's photographs. Vanguard Newspapers is becoming so bad now. They sometimes report fake info, fake scorelines and just copy from online websites, no thorough editing, nothing.

SportsRe: Sweden V Nigeria: FIFA U-17 World Cup (3 - 3) On 22nd October 2013 by naturalwaves: 12:54pm On Nov 07, 2013
komekn: Naturalwaves

You seem informed, articulate and conversant to a degree, I like that, and I want to believe not too proud to learn more as well.

Youth football in Europe this is how it works, you have a series of local youth teams from U6 to u18 organised into leagues across the city, for instance in Manchester has in excess of 7/8 local football leagues. These teams play games in a league set up for each age group goals, matches, players registered recorded and documented, their local schools informed and confirmed.

From some of these matches talent scouts from professional premiership teams and lower league teams begin to pick out the cream of the crop as early as 6/7 years of age. Again all this is documented.

Some of these kids will be recruited into the various football clubs and progress from there some will play for their city school boy teams as did Gerrard, Rooney , Micheal Owen, etc , etc after playing for local teams first.

So you don’t just wake up become great over night there will be clear documented progression from a very early age, you can’t then just change your age its already registered, documented and confirmed from the age of 6/7 and easily verifiable. The FA can’t change their own records the local teams can’t change their records, the newspapers can’t change their records it’s TOTALLY IMPOSSIBLE it’s all in the public domain virtual and print. Below are a few local youth football teams in Manchester detailing their successes over decades former players, results and where some of them have moved on to.

I. Failsworth Dynamos http://www.failsworthdynamosjfc.co.uk/
II. Nj Wythenshaw Juniors http://www.clubwebsite.co.uk/njwythenshawejfc/
III. Benchhill Celtic http://www.benchillcelticjfc.co.uk/
IV. Fletcher Moss http://www.fletchermossrangers.com/ this is the old youth club of Danny Nii Tackie Mensah Welbeck

What I’m saying is that everybody has a history in Europe that will be documented once you are involved in any activity that requires you being in the public eye no matter how small or lowly, you just don’t appear from nowhere.

However, if I had no conscience and didn’t fear God I could easily make myself a packet of £££ by scouting for just 3 boys from 9ja, (with mothers above average height) who are under 10 but with clear football talent, declare them as being 7/8 Bring them to England put them on a high protein diet(now watch them grow) , start an intensive coaching programme. Introduce them into the local league in 6 weeks I will have every major premiership academy director, eating out of my hands of course I have the network to do that.

There is a high degree of corruption in English youth football but not in the context of age cheating but that’s a whole different discourse.
Thanks for the compliments sir.
Nice argument you have put up there but not devoid of errors.

Firstly, FIFA does not conduct a personal research and analysis on individual players competing at events, so, your historic follow up claims cannot be verified.

Secondly, those clubs you mentioned only snap up exceptional players at an early age of 6,7 and even less and it is those ones that their progress and growth rate including age can be monitored and verified. What happens to the rest of the squad?

Sir, no matter the history and the fact that a player's data has been documented, stored and followed up from birth, it can still be changed and manipulated within 30 minutes provided it is stored on a computer. As you can see, someone recounted his personal experience from his local club above.

Moreover, I hope you know that it is not strictly Nationals that make up a national team. Lucas Podolski is not a German, Emmanuel Olisadebe that played for Poland is a Nigerian and so on and you have to realise too that not all these players grew up in Europe from childbirth. If you look at the Swiss team in this competition for example, about half or more of the players are not from sweden( you can google it). The team is so mixed up so, even if there is history, there can't be history for everyone.

Finally, what effect does age play in performance? According to some people's opinion here, the higher the age, the better the performance but I beg to disagree and and state otherwise. The only role age play is that, it is expected that mature players will be more experienced by virtue of the fact that most of them will be playing in leagues and all BUT look at this Golden Eaglets squad, you can hardly find anyone of them in an established league. Some are still going to write this year's WASSCE. We may have cheated in the past but reverse is the case this time around. None of them play in the Nigerian Premier league.

If you visit the Northern part, you will nearly weep when you see the abundance of talents wasting there. I wasn't surprised when I heard Yahaya is from Kaduna. In places like Kaduna, Kano, Jigawa and co, football is a very big deal and almost every kid from 12 years have complete kits (jerseys, boots, and the rest) unlike in Lagos where kids play with bare foots or slippers at such age. It is not as if those in the North have money but rather than save to buy biscuits, those kids there would rather buy ball kits. In the secondary school I served, an average SSS1 student can control any aerial ball with just a maximum of 2 touches, they twist and turn like a rubber on the pitch, they send accurate aerial ball passes, they do tip taps, they are strong, agile and have speed.

This under 17 Eaglets team is just to teach a moral lesson to all Nigerians that when selection is based on merit and not favourism, Nigeria can rule the world at any level!

Brown Pride: Whatever! You cheaters!! Your players are older than 20 years!
In Mexico, we are register at birth, while in Africa you get registered at 3 or 4 years.
So, why so f.... Proud of cheating?
Even worst will taste your defeat next Friday when much younger players beat you.
Why don't you wait for the match to be played first before you start finding excuses for failure? We are not cheats and our players are not over aged.

Moreover, that your players are registered at birth is not enough proof that you cannot cheat or that you are not cheats. What it means is that a player cannot deceive your football association or your government but when your Association or Government decides to cheat for a player, it only takes a few clicks of buttons to change the initial data. So,your claim of registering at birth is meaningless. You were also aware that there was MRI scans for the players and the Nigerian team passed the tests, so, what else do you want?

I will advice you to wait for the match to be played before you find excuses for failure. Mark my words, that final will be one of the most disgraceful finals in the history of the under 17 world cup. The Nigerian team will bamboozle your boys with a scintillating performance and a harvest of goals.

Just like that useless Engineer, she is an empty barrel. If you don't show them their stewpidity, they will wallow in ignorance.

Rilamaka: Its *artist* my dear. Please go and take English lessons, because I can see that you are lacking the basic rudimentary English skills, well I shall reply you once you have achieved that. grin grin grin. I only argue with intellectuals who match my I.Q and you, you are clearly below that level.
Teacher no cheat the boy nonsense o cos a critical analysis of the shi.t you wrote up here will make your write up worse. Let's start

Blunder 1: It is actually an "Artiste" not an Artist like you corrected.
Blunder 2: You said......"go and take English lessons, because........". Who was the useless teacher that taught you to use a joiner like 'because' after a coma ? Your parents need to get a refund asap.
Blunder 3: You continued by saying......"You are lacking the basic......" His he lacking or he lacks? shocked Or his lack is a continuos one ?cheesy Or he is lacking continuosly? grin grin That's your take home assignment. Abeg no killi me with this your Engrish o and what do you mean by "rudimentary English". Madam, you are worse than the person you are trying to correct, you need to go back to school.

pro01: Nonsensical escapism. That is the sort of warped caveat you'd expect from a talentless empty barrel who realises his glaring inadequacies and hopelessness as a musician (for that is what he is, nothing more). As if "entertainment" is some form of abstraction that has no definite form or substance.

That 'entertainer' claim would make a lot of sense if made by a multi-talented colossus like Jamie Foxx. . . .a serially successful stand-up and TV show comedian, Oscar-winning Hollywood A-lister, and Grammy-winning multi-platinum musician all in one! Even the likes of Jennifer Lopez and Will Smith would qualify as "entertainers" since they have proven themselves and succeeded in different realms of entertainment - movies and music. In a purely musical sense, someone like Michael Jackson perhaps embodied "entertainment", for he was a complete act of the kind never seen before - his creative music videos, innovative dance techniques, elaborate stage performances, and overall craft all set him apart as a total ENTERTAINER.

D'Banj should take several seats and let us hear word abeg. Entertainer ko, Irritater ni.
So much gibberish without any iota of sense. So, if Dbanj calls himself an Entertainer, he is not worthy of such cos he is not in the class of MJ, JLO and the rest? What a warped logic!

Let me educate you a bit. You see kid, the term ENTERTAINMENT or ENTERTAINER is a relative term which could be based on region, taste, preference, time and so on.

We all know that Nollywood flicks claim to entertain us. Do you mean that, the claim should be debunked cos it is not in the class of American movies?

If you bring all those American Rock and Roll stars to Nigeria, do you think they will ever gain more audience than the likes of Flavour, Davido and co ?
Definately NO!
Moreover, entertaining is one of the basic functions of a musical Artiste, so, if Dbanj says he is an entertainer, he is 100% correct just like every other Artiste cos they are all Entertainers anyhow you look at it. This is why your post is senseless sir.

I think I know you to be more sensible than this just that you decided to spill gibberish like you always do anytime the name Dbanj is mentioned.

spade: You most certainly have the brain of a child.

What's worth doing, is worth doing WELL.
I don't sing, so why the phuck would I want to torture the public with noise? Walahi, you dull no be small.
You believe anybody who critiques a bad song or bad stage performance plans to go into music?

I happen to be good at Math, Physics and Art, so for that reason, I WORK IN A FIELD I'M GOOD AT - Engineering!

D'Banj on the other hand, has no phucking musical talent, yet he continues to fool himself and his gullible followers, as well as torture the general public with his atrocious junk.

He should do humanity a favour and atleast focus on what he's good at. Whether na LASTMA agbero work or Molue driving, that's for him to say.
Clap for yourself sir the Engineering Don! Let's try and always use common sense even though it will be once in a while. You said you are an Engineer and you chosed that cos you know you can't sing. Dbanj is a musician, he chosed that cos he feels that is what he is good at. Infact, he dropped Mechanical engineering for music. At the moment, when the names of top musicians is being mentioned in Nigeria and Africa, there is no how the name Dbanj won't be mentioned. As an Engineer, who are you? Are you the best or one of the best in your LG, district, state or even region talkless of being given any recognition in Nigeria, Africa or beyond? Of course, the clear answer is a big NO cos Scholars don't reason with this kind of logic you exhibited.

Based on your argument, when we compare your life to that of Dbanj career wise, I put it to you sir that you are a monumental failure.

I have been there and done that. If you pick up the contract job, You will have to forget about writing aptitude tests cos you will never have the time. In my time, I used to pretend as if I was sick few days to my Aptitude test and then pretend I have totally broken down on d- day. At other times, I just get a sick leave to get the chance. The question is, how many times are you gonna do that? Sometimes, I call Workforce and Dragnet for a test reschedule preferably on weekends but it does not work all the time.
A bank job won't even give you the time to practice and strategise for your tests and your tests schedule will always be clashing with work hours.

If you need the cash to put body and soul together you may take it up for the meantime but note that it will affect your ability to honour as much test schedules as you want for jobs BUT if you are not under any form of pressure financially, if you have someone that still takes care of you and that gives you petty cash for those little things like recharge cards and all, I will suggest you maintain your cool and forget about the contract job in the bank. Don't ever lose an opportunity to work in a good firm because of one yeye contract bank job.

NOTE: If you finally settle for the bank job, anytime you have a test, make sure you go write it no matter what. They will shout on you later on and threaten you with a 'memo' or even give you one but how long are you gonna do that? The ball is in your court my dear.
