Nobody is absolving the government of blame. However, if you look critically at how much individuals saddled with lesser responsibilities willfully abdicate same in virtually all fields in this country, even if you resurrect one of the saints to come and rule (lead) this country, there won't be much of an improvement.
That's what I'm pointing out because Universities of Agriculture are also government institutions. They receive special funding for Research and Development from multiple agencies and MDA's every year with little to show for it.

Your conclusion still passes the blame to them. There is no special fund anywhere. They are being underfunded. Research isn't about dropping just a little Naira for people to finds lies but to provide necessary Laboratory equipment and environment for quality research.

Please, be since with yourself, where are the Laboratory equipment in our Universities?

Judging from the picture, this is due to the expansion joint there. The Engineer who designed this, shouldn't have placed columns along an expansion joint.

There are bound to be movement along expansion joints which is the cause of the cracks along the columns.

ASUU will go on strike citing pay raises and funds for research and development as the reasons why.
However, once they are able to negotiate their pay, strike is off.
Our universities need to start doing more in order faculties besides the Medicine and Surgery faculty abeg.

Let the government play their role first before passing the blame to universities. Universities are underfunded and yet, you expect so much from them.

The government pays so much priority on infrastructure and building a new presidential hospital, not to mention all other sick and wicked budget in ministries but the University which should be the institution that will bring about the needed change and development the country wants in underfunded. Do you care to know the percentage alloted to education in the budget? This same education budget isn't just for the Universities alone too.

Please, do you expect so much from the seed you failed to water and position in a fertile soil and under sunlight?

Amazing. This government has passed on the responsibilities of food abundance locally to Universities of Agriculture. Very soon, the blame will be shifted to them as being responsible for high cost of food in the country.

Nothing stops you from helping the poor or paying your 'tithe' to the church. I am so much sure that even the OP has never helped the poor with substantial amount equivalent to 10% of her income but will like to create issues against those who pay their tithes all in the name of helping the poor.

Before you attack me, I don't believe in tithe anymore but I believe only in giving to God as stated in the new testament which replaces tithe.

1. How do lawyers prove murder in criminal cases?
2. Where are the dead bodies?
3. Where are their families?
4. What is the cause of their death?
5. Where are their photographs?
6. Why did any member of their families not come forward to make claims for a whole year?
7. Where are the eye witnesses who claimed they saw dead bodies?
8. How many dead bodies did they claim they saw?
9. Why did they not take photographs of the dead bodies?
10. Did the panel answer all or some of these questions?

Why didn't you go to the general hospital where the Autopsy was done to take count of dead bodies and also carry out your own autopsy. Some people just feel like they have all the senses in this world and other don't have any.

I am not and can never be a Fan of Tinubu, Lai or Buhari and I agree largely with the report of the Panel but the entire reportage is not balanced.

The government of the day - LASG and FG (IG of Police) did not manage the entire EndSars protest professionally. The brute force that was used to disperse the protest at Lekki toll gate was the only option left for the Government at that point in time and these are my reasons.
1. Why is nobody reporting that the government allowed the protest to last for over 2 weeks in lagos, Abuja and several other cities meaning that the govt. recognizes the right to protest.
2. Why is nobody talking about how the protest at the toll gate gave birth to many other protest sites in several parts of lagos and was making normal life unbearable for other citizens due to road blocks and all.
3. Why is nobody talking about how the protest have degenerated into a crisis situation with prison break, burning of Police stations, killing of police men, looting and destruction etc. As at 7pm of 20.10.20, over 30 police stations in Lagos was on fire and several policemen killed.
Last but not the least, the people that were at the lekki toll gate protest venue at the time of arrival of the military cannot be said to be law abiding. They were defying a government imposed curfew which is to take effect by 4pm that day.
Citizens have all right to protest but the government should also be up and doing in managing the overall security situation in the communities. My 2 cents

1. Every report talked about how the protest lasted long. So, don't bring sentiment to this matter. What I expected you to have asked also is why did the government try the option of introducing hoodlums to scatter peaceful protest? When they saw this didn't work, they went for the last option - FORCE.

2. The protest at Lekki toll gate never gave birth to any other protest rather people were frustrated about the SARS operations and how they have ruined many lives. Please, are lives not precious before you? Also, should others keep quiet in the face of oppression? Didn't you read of a report in Edo state or a South Eastern state of how SARS killed an individual and denied the family the corpse. Please, if you have no blood running in your vein and feel others should feel same, kindly keep your thoughts to yourself. Is SARS a Lagos thing?

3. Why didn't you mention how Police officers killed some citizens and this led to burning down of police station? Please, stop being insensitive to the loss of lives.

When your government thought of every means to silent these people calling out for justice against the system, they felt with the way these protesters are going they will definitely come for the government. Hence, hoodlums first, Curfew second and the use of FORCE (murder to stop the protest).

I was so inquisitive as to the members of the panel and I don't even think this government is serious on this matter. I feel they want this panel to just produce papers.


I was expecting to see more of Structural Engineers, Foundation/Geotechnical Engineers on the panel and even an Engineer head this panel if this government is serious about getting to the bottom of the issue.

Now it's a town planner heading the panel, 2 property lawyers, an Architect, Builder and just a Structural Engineer. This panel should be more of the Engineers who should investigate the collapse. It is a technical issue and not a paper matter.

To my surprise, I am seeing Town planner being the head of a panel to investigate collapse and then, Architect.

When did EFCC turn to Police or Court that they now release people on bail.

The right thing is to release this guy and if there is anything against him charge him to court.

The guy is right a structural member deflects under load, that's why reinforcements are introduced. The deflection won't be noticeable by just views but it is there.
