It amazes me how people just comment and quote scriptures just to defend themselves. You try to score cheap point by diverting the whole truth, by saying he is not a man of God, he should pay more attention to the poor and not politics which he shouldn't be involved in and all sort of excuses. Well, the Bible talked about John the baptist to Herod, Jesus to Pharisees, Sadducees, Sahendrins...., Jeremiah on the defense of the people and others. They never shut their eyes to what was going on around them and just focus on the message they've got. Let's face it, PASTOR Tunde Bakare is fulfilling part of his mission as a pastor and he is doing it well. Let admit it amongst other pastors who were involved in the Yaradua issue then, who came out to tell us the actual situation of things? Let's be honest here, we all need him to stand for the truth. How I miss Late Chief Gani Fawehinmi of blessed memory, who stood for the truth even when he was standing alone.

what gets me annoyed about this government is the way the respond after any bomb crisis, you'll either hear our president say "this dastardly act shall not go unpunished we'll fish out those responsible" (this statement is now fading away) or you'll hear him say "we are on top of the situation" (this is the current one). With all these statements made no progress have been made.... omo I tire for Naija..........

I just don't know how to put this rightly but i'll try my best just for you guys to help me out. I have a feeling for someone which I just can't suppress, I can't just explain it- I just love her so much but the problem is that I've not told her how I feel because I lack that courage & i'm shy (i just don't know how to get over this) and in some days time, I'll be leaving that area because I just have to. My friends jokingly had tried to talk to her with just my effort left in completing the rest but yet I didn't do anything (the report I had from my friends was that it was left to me and that she is not objecting in anyway). Also, should I say what made me hold back was because she was acting funny (not in a bad way though)- she could just act formal when around me which wasn't so before. I just love her so much, its just something I cannot point out as the reason I love her. What can I do? Help me out.... Your honest opinion is needed.

I think the figure is just too high because I could vividly remember that when the present batch 'b' that is about to pass out, were preparing for orientation camp, it was announced that they would be the highest figure so far in NYSC which was about 95,000. Whichever way, I think our government just need to do more by creating more jobs and also verifying existing employees' age declarations (because we have crooks who don't want to leave govt. work)

I fear Nigerians so much, all we can do is to just criticise without doing anything. These people started with a protest, you all were accusing them of taking the wrong step, hauling several insults on them. Now, they woke up and decided to take the case to court, and you all are still raining insults on them. I tire for Naija o.... Wetin man go do to please una. Which way Naija?

I'm sick and tired of the non-challant attitude of our so-called government, they will be crying foul now when they ought to have done the right thing by ensuring they meet standard. It is only in Nigeria anything goes when we refuse to stay clean and not get involved in shady and dirty matters. Innocent people even in their houses met their death. Haaaaaaa........ What's the way forward Nigeria?

Please i need you all to be plain and also give me a honest advice.
I'm a guy currently serving (a corper) and 24 yrs of age with the intention of getting established in all areas (financially n otherwise) before settling down but my problem is that im having serious issues in communicating with ladies because i am shy (which i've tried working on but yet to be over with the ladies), i have heard friends tell me also that my face looks too serious and to cap it all, i have this fantasy of my dream wife being intelligent, God fearing, loving (not for the money but my personality), beautiful, a help meet and someone who would bring me joy always in the home but i have this believe that i can only meet her through friendship. Sometimes, when i see those qualities, my shyness will be at work.
Now, to the reason behind this post- i know that by this age, i should have a female friend (if not lover) but sadly, i dont. Please base on my post, what am i doing wrong or yet to do? Because i'm thinking the fault is from me,
N.B: im a believer who believes everything should be done the right way and i have talked to God about it.

Nigerian doctors n nurses are seriously heartless. Should I say God caught up with a nurse with the bad act, some years ago. She was already off-duty at the time a patient was rushed into the hospital and her attention was called to it, she turned deaf ears to the call n went home. On getting home, she was told her husband was rushd to the hospital after serious illness, on getting she discoverd it was the same person who she didnt bother seein b4 she left bt it was late, the husband was dead. They are always impatient to listen to the complains of patients and very harsh, At abroad, even when doctors are off-duty and at an accident scene, they would rush to help but the Nigerian doctors would work pass the scene.

I must say this truth out of how I feel the pains of the masses. Its true govt. have to play their role but please the doctors and Nurses have to be blamed also. There is a better way in achieving their aims and not at the expense of lives. The reason you would hear is doctors couldnt afford some basics which is a lie, let them tell u the amount they get also and u will be shockd with their cries. Doctor dont abide by their oath of duty, i read the oath a day and was sad within me 'cos Doctors are heartless

I watched a film and i was bothered on a particular matter, in fact, i had a deep thought on this. What prayer will a person who needs a heart transplant pray? Will God answer his/her prayers or probably nature takes its course. I'm really confused on this subject matter and i really don't know the answers. Please i need you to give me answers to this thought of mine and with reasons. Thanks Nairalanders.

I was shock this morning when i visited one of the general hospitals in lagos state to discover that none of the doctors or the nurses even the normal staffs were around today. I had it in mind that i would carry-out an eye test today simply because of how bad my eyes are becoming and today being an holiday (as declared by the government 9-10th) is the best time for me since i might not have an opportunity later because of busy schedule, as i got to the entrance of the hospital, the doors were opened, fans were in good working condition, electrical appliances operating normally but without the presence of the doctors and nurses except for the pharmacy in the hospital ( due to sales of drugs), and offices were also shut.
considering their nature of job in terms of life and death and the code of conduct guiding their profession, should the doctors and nurses go on holidays? Please i am not taking this too personal, but i just want to be educated on this matter 'cos what if there is an emergency today who will take care of them? I also think that before anyone should sing up or go for the profession, he/she should have the passion for saving lifes, concern for the sick, e.t.c. FELLOW NIARALANDERS WHAT'S YOUR VIEW?

the man must be sick. I just cant imagine how stressful it can be to spend 2 years in another state you've not been to. He must be really sick, he needs treatment jo ooooo. Haba !! even with severe crisis happening and people are really clamouring for the cancellation of this service year, one mumu still opened his mouth for a 2 year extension. I had a deep thought over this issue and I decided to seek your view concerning this. Some claim that it was God who revealed to them the bone of their bone, the flesh of their flesh, life partner, help meet and all sort of name they call it, in a dream, while some say you have to choose the woman/man you want to be with forever and they even develop some theory on how to attract the right person. Personally, I believe that it is only those who don't know how to woo a woman that end up saying it was God's will. Fellow nairalanders, what's your honest view- is God to choose for you or you make your choice?
N.B I believe in God but im not convinced when it comes to relationship aspect 'cos I witnessed a marriage where the husband claimed that it was God who revealed to him in a dream whereas this lady in question lived opposite to where he stays as at that time.

I just thought of we having fun with this question- what gets you the attention among people or that very special one to you. Well 2 start with, My smiles work magics n my friendly attitude.

Pls i need your honest suggestn concerning this. Well among every other targets for myself this year, i've thot of having a girl i've desired for so long. The gist is that we were just friends before, but some yrs ago a special bond (i noticd it in her also) came in and since then we became close friends to the extent that she wasnt ashame of calling my name anywhere just to say hello. Anyway, i now want her to be mine but i dont want it to lead to d end of our friendship cos she respects me as i do to her.

Also this girl in particular is really my dream girl, she is decent n also intelligent. To be honest with you all, i've been thinking if originality still pays, cos i found out dat ladies somehow like guys who pretend a lot n aren't real in things. I'm a kind of person dat when im pretending, i kind of dislike my attitude especially when im doing dat to a lady n i guess for this reason i've not been able to call just one lady my girlfriend, ladies just like my personality but dont want to be friends with me. Please let's say the truth. Unilag is still the best in Nigeria, i didnt gain admission 2 d skul but with what i've seen in terms of d Lecturers recieving awards Nationally n also from co-operate bodies, they mostly come from Unilag. Recently one received an award 4 discovering a stabilising flux 4 our roads, which is currently gaining international interest. Most of us are being bias all b'cos we didnt gain admission to this skul. The Skul stresses student 2 bring d best in them. Well, Unilag, UI then OAU.

I would like u all to share your experience as related to this. Mine is like this, I like this girl from the days I went for tutorials at a centre, that was where i knew her but i didn't tell her (years ago).

Recently, I met this same girl on a bus because i sat beside her, not that I struggled to have a seat beside her. Well, as the bus was moving on, i was trying to talk to her but words failed me because she is looking even more beautiful.

As she was about 2 alight at her destination, I noticed a phone no on her customised shirt but I couldn;t see them all.

I've never liked someone jst d way i like dis girl bt i still dont gain recognitn 4rm d girl (im not a player, im just shy n say i dont flow easily if d other person is not sociable enough) well i've kind of given up on her n i've stopped sending text 2 her but still i remember her a lot. I got thinking seriously lately n it prompted me 2 ask this question- what makes him/her 'the one' you've been searching for, for so long? cos recently i found out dat as for me beauty is secondary while searching for d lady of my dream, n then good intellect, originality, good character, expression of care n understanding are d primary factors i watch out 4 in dat lady.
